Want JCO to access DB02 data

Hi,
I trying to retreive data from transaction DB02 using the JCO. Is there any function module that will fetch the data for me..?
I'm interested in retreving the table & index sizes as displayed in transaction DB02. Also, is there any other way to retreive this data from a java program apart from a RFC enabled function module ?
Thanks,
Deepika.

Well, I dont have a solution per se to this as yet. However I did find out various function modules that would fetch the data required for transaction DB02. These function however are database dependent. It's fine as far as you are trying to connect to any particular SAP system, since you can specify which functions to call.
A generic function which would call either an ABAP report/transaction would be good. But have not heard anything on that one.

    Hi,
In this scenario, you can share the document with the clients to and provide co-author privileges.
Co-authors can edit the form design, options, responses, and summary report (everything that you can do).
Note:- They do not require a paid subscription to view the responses, free subscription users can become co-authors.
Please refer to the following thread to know how to share a form with others:-How do I share a form I created with others?

  • Access SAP data from xMII 12.1 without RFC or JCO

    Hi All,
Is it possible to access/get data from SAP in xMII without RFC/ JCO call?
Let me know if there is other option available..
    Regards,
    Sachin

    Sachin,
As far my knowledge goes the primarily used forms of achieving MII to ERP connectivity,
    1) MII -- ERP (via RFC, IDOC's, BAPI's)
    2) MII -- PI(XI) -- ERP
    3) MII -- ESR -- ERP (Web-services)
But, I completely concur with Mike on this, you do not need to create any function modules unless you have no other choice.
Check this link for List of Bapi's available and their description
    [BAPI List|http://www.sapbapi.com/bapi-list/]
If none of the BAPI's really meets your requirement then you can go for "RFC_READ_TABLE" this RFC accepts the SAP table name and desired column names. (in a way you will be accessing the SAP DB you are looking for...)
Yet, if none of the above options suffices your requirement only then you go for writing a custom Function module.

Is there a way to "sync" up my iPad to iPhone for accessing Internet on my iPad while riding in a vehicle? I did not want to get an additional data plan.

If your cellular plan/carrier allows use of the iPhone as a hot spot, yes. Verizon does on some plans, at least in my area, but I can't speak for other providers.Set up on the iPhone is in the Settings App > Personal Hotspot.

  • HT1212 i have forgotten my passcode for my ipod,i dont have access to a computer and i dont want to erase all my data off it because i recently went on a school trip to malta and have all my pictures from there on it...any suggestions?

    any suggestions????? please!!

If you haven't backed up /imported the photos, it's most likely you can't access that data. Passwords/code are made for security, remember them in the future.
You could try importing photos using
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
    You can use
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
to restore the device, but everything that hasn't been backed up(purchases excluded) will be lost.
After restoring, you can redownload your purchases using this:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • ADF application to access WLS data source .

    Hi,
I have developed an ADF application in Jdeveloper 10.3.3 and deployed on Weblogic server. Now I want my application to access the data from data source created in WLS. I have created a data source (ds_demo) using the WebLoigc server option Services -> JDBC -> Data Sources.Target has been set to the default server where application is running.
Now I want application to access the database over the data source ds_demo. How can I do that?. Please provide any pointers.
    Thanks & Regards,
    MB

You should be able to use Java code like this to directly obtain the WLS data source if you're using a POJO/DAO :
    Context ctx = null;
    DataSource ds;
    Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
    ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
    ht.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://localhost:7001");
    ctx = new InitialContext(ht);
    ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("DataSourceJNDINameHere");
This assumes you're deploying this on the same server hosting the datasource and that it's on port 7001.

My iPhone 5s on ios 8.1.2 is stuck at Apple logo or recovery mode.. To fix this issue, i need to update it to ios 8.2 through itunes.. I want to ask that my data i.e. Photos and other personal data would be removed after updating it or not..?
if yes then how can i save my data or get out of recovery mode.. Is there any safe mode or something like that on which i could access my data..
P.S. I have not taken any backup of my iPhone on itunes..
Please help me sort out this issue..

Recovery mode doesn't mean that all your data is already lost. You only lose your data if you restore it.
When you plug the phone is into iTunes hold down the home button. iTunes may then give you the option JUST to update the software first. This should not get rid of any data.
However, if iTunes is only giving you the option to RESTORE and update, then you will lose your data I'm afraid.
    Hope that helps!

  • Need new apple ID, no longer want to share. What data will I lose?

My friend has been sharing an apple ID with her husband, but it has created some problems. They both have iPads and iPhones. Now she wants to create a new apple ID so that things are separate. I have backed up her iPad and don't know how to proceed. I want her to still be able to have access to the photos, contacts, notes, etc that she took when the iPad had the old ID. Will she lose all of that if she creates a new ID? Can't she still keep apps bought with the old ID and just never update them? I've seen that done. She has a Bible app that she takes notes in at church. How would she retrieve those notes? I always hear about things being backed up to the cloud, but when you go to iCloud.com there are no icons for those apps or for photos. How does one access the data saved on apps?
The big question is: do I need to restore her iPad and iPhone to factory settings? Or can I just go into settings and change something? I saw a forum about people having problems with that. She has created a separate account on her macbook, so she has a brand new iTunes. Do I need to change anything in iTunes? I'm afraid that once I connect the devices to a different iTunes, everything will be erased. I appreciate your help. I know I have a lot of questions. Thanks.

Set up your own iCloud account with your own separate ID.  The ID you use for iCloud does not need to be the same as the ID used for other services such as the iTunes and App stores.  You can still share an ID for iTunes purchases and have a separate ID for iCloud.

  • How do I access the data saved on my time capsule?  for example, if i try to view my photos it tells me that i have 2.4gb of photos and gives me the option to "view with iPhoto"....but when i click on "view with iPhoto" nothing happens...  thanks!

how do i access the data stored on my time capsule?  for example, if i try to view a photo, i get the option to "view with iphoto" but when i click on "view with iphoto" nothing happens.  i'm having similar trouble openning up movies, music, etc.  it appears as though the files exist / saved on the time capsule (because i can see how much storage they consume), but i can't open them.  thanks!

Unfortunately, Apple removed the feature to "browse backups" in Time Machine backups of iPhoto a few years ago.
You have to restore the entire iPhoto library to a separate location to be able to "see" it, and then choose the specific images that you want use.
For complete details, see #15 in Pondini's excellent support document Time Machine -- FAQ.  Check the information in the pink box there.

  • I had to create a new profile in Firefox and now, I can't access important data such as bookmarks which I desperately need.

After two days of not being able to open Firefox, I found an article on this website which suggested that I create a new profile. I followed the instructions (which never stated that I should first backup Firefox or my old profile) After creating the new profile, Firefox is once again working fine but, I am unable to access important data such as bookmarks and history.
I have followed several suggestion on this website but, I am still unable to find my old profile content.

As long as you did not uninstall Firefox and remove personal data, your old profile still should be in the same location. Depending on how messed up it was, here are two options:
'''(1) Use the profile manager to start Firefox up in your old profile and create a fresh bookmarks backup.''' If it didn't run, this won't be useful.
To start in a different profile, Exit out of Firefox and start it up from the Start menu, search box, using
    firefox.exe -P
Your old profile may have a name like default.
Then you can create a fresh backup or export of your bookmarks (or both) to a neutral location (e.g., the Documents folder). These articles have the steps for creating these files:
    * [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
    * [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]] (note: does not preserve tags you have assigned to bookmarks, if any)
Exit Firefox, use the profile manager to return to your new profile, then you can either restore the bookmark backup or import the HTML file. The difference is that a restore completely replaces whatever exists now, while an import adds to what you have now.
    * [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
    * [[Import Bookmarks from an HTML file]]
    Success?
'''(2) Restore an old bookmark backup.''' Firefox creates these files regularly, but it might not be perfectly complete.
To access the old files, I suggest starting from your current (new) profile folder. You can open that from within Firefox using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window showing your ''current'' settings files. Using the address bar of that window, click up to the Profiles folder level and then double-click into your old profile folder, then into its bookmarkbackups folder. Copy the latest backup file to a neutral location (such as your Documents folder).
Back in Firefox, try to restore the older backup. Note: this will completely replace your bookmarks in this profile, so if you have saved new bookmarks you want to save, please perform the optional steps in the following list:
    * Optional (preserve new bookmarks): [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]]
    * [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]] - use Choose File to go to your Documents folder to get the old backup
    * Optional (add new bookmarks to the restored set): [[Import Bookmarks from an HTML file]]
    Success?

Sorry mate, but YOU have to know what you want here.
I gave you an easy to follow set of steps.
As you don't seam to mind the outcome, just might just use them...
    > I wanted to know weathe i can use the  loadercli for thie export import or not? if yes then is there any new steps to do before i do the export import?
    We had this discussion before...
    >
    > For that the easiest option would be just to drop the tables of SAPR3 and run the import again.
    >
    > For ease of use you could also just do:
    > - logon as superdba
    > - drop user SAPR3
    > - create user SAPR3 password SOMEPW not exclusive dba
    >
    > After these steps you can easily pump the data into the database again.
    >
    > So here in th above given steps , i am creating a new SAPR3 user and why it is not exclusive dba ?
    >  i already have that user SAPR3 can i use the same.
Yes, you do have the SAPR3 user.
But you don't seem to like to read documentation or learn about how the tools work or anything like that.
Therefore I gave you s simple way to reach your goal.
Of course it's possible to reuse the user.
But then you would have to deal with already existing tables, already existing data etc.
You don't seem to be able to do that. So, the easy steps might be better suited for your needs.

    Lars

  • W510: How to access my data from a functional hard drive after motherboard failure

I made a mistake and paid the major price .
That mistake being spilling a sugary drink on my laptop. I know, I know, my keyboard can and protect against damage from spills, but it was an entire glass. Anyway, I panicked and shut the system down and turned it upside down and removed the keyboard. And being the impatient person I am, I made what was probably the ultimate mistake. I didn't give everything adequate amount of time to dry and tried booting the system back up. There went my computer. Or at least I think.
Symptoms: It started to bootup, kept beeping, then at a certain point just shut down and wouldn't turn back on.
Anyway, I'm assuming my laptop went kaput. Now to the point of this thread. I had not undergone a recent backup and can't recall when the last backup was actually done. Assuming that my hard drive is ok, I would like to get all of my data so I saw several possible options:
-send the system to a data recovery service where I'm not going to pay below $300, but probably 2 to 3 times that
-buy an equivalent model laptop and put the HDD in there
-by an external SATA hard drive enclosure and attach it via USB to another computer
I bought an external enclosure and assembled it this evening. I had read about difficulty accessing data with a non-Lenovo system because of data encryption. I proved that out by attaching it to my work laptop (a Dell) and I couldn't access my data directories. If I have access to another Lenovo Thinkpad, will I be able to access the data if connected via USB? I'd read that I can access the hard drive contents if it is connected to another Thinkpad, but I wasn't sure if that means I have to have it interfaced via the SATA connection or if it will still work via USB.
I'll appreciate any suggestions for accessing my data.
    Best Regards!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I didn't have a password on the drive itself, but I did have a Windows password.
Connecting the drive to a Dell via SATA external usb enclosure and attempting to access the data directory gives the below prompt (See image below). I understand that I could click continue and try to gain permanent access, but I haven't attemped yet because I also don't want to permanently mess something up so that I can't access.
So this was connected to my work computer, which is a Dell. I do have access to another Thinkpad (X200 series tablet) with the same results. I'm concerned that if I do follow the steps to gain permission to the folder that the data will also be encrypted. I read at this Lenovo link http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-69621 about full data encryption. I don't recall ever manually setting up encryption.
Alternatively, could I boot from the old drive using the X200?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks again.

  • Tables in which DB15 and DB02 data is stored

    Hi All,
I'm interested in knowing the tables in which the DB15 and DB02 data is stored. To be more specific..
    1) DB15 - I want to know the tables in which the relationships between Archiving OBjects and Tables is stored. I have identified some tables namely - ARCH_DEF ,ARCH_DELE ,ARCH_DELE,CLASS_DELE,CLASS_DEF.. but the data from these tables does ot directly match what is being displayed in transaction DB15.
    2) DB02 - I also want to know the tables in which the DB02 statistics is stored, namely the tables in which the Table & Index sizes are stored.
    Thanks in advance,
    Deepika.

    Hi Deepika!
ad 2) That's database related stuff. Information is gathered with native SQL out of database system tables.
Even some data preparation is done by calls of database functions.

  • How to access reference data in BPS Exit Function

    Hi Experts,
Can any please tell me how to access reference data in BPS Exit function. I am creating a copy function using ABAP Exit Function (Std copy and fox formula doesn't work for my requirement).
    Please suggest,
    Thanks in advance,
    Shiwesh

    Hi Deepti,
Thanks a lot for your reply. xth_data contains all the data based on package filteration. Let me explain you,
Say, I have a characteristic char and whose value is 'A', I want to change it to 'B' in my copy function, while keeping the original record with 'A' as well. So now I want my xth_data to contain two records, one with A and other with 'B'. I mean to say from value is 'A' and to value is 'B'. Now my package contains 'B' (the to value) as the allowed value, but not A because in the package I am setting this using a BPS variable. There are two types of variables, one is to variables other is from variable. There could be two scenarios,
    1. If I set from varibale in the package: if I do so, I will have the data in xth_data containing 'A' as char value. But in this case when I change it to 'B' and try to save both the records, package won't recognize the record with value 'B' and reject it.
    2. If I set to variable in the package: In this case the xth_data itself will not contain anything and I can not loop over xth_data because there is no record with 'B'. Only record available in the system is with 'A' values.
That is why I am thinking about having reference daya somewhere. I could loop over reference data and then pass it to xth_data. Package will contain to variable so it will allow all my modifications to get saved.
    Thanks and regards,
    Shiwesh
