Want to block reading

Hi
I have to find max value from a table and
insert max+1 into a table.
how can i block others sessions (may be exe. same query) from reading the table
while this query is executed.

I have to get (lowest missing value) from a table tab1 like :
tab1(col1 number) , col1 contains some numbers with missing values in bet.
query to find min value missing:
select min(a.col1) min_value
from tab1 a,tab1 b
where a.col1+1=b.col1(+)
and b.col1 is null
i will insert into the same table Tab1 min_value+1.
ideally i should not get duplicate values.
but when the query is executed thru different sessions , i am finding dup. vals....
So i suppose reading should be bloked for any session executing this query until i find the min value from tab1 and insert the new value(min+1) inside the table same Tab1 and commit.

They are calling me over and over. I am on the national do not call list but that's no help. Because the caller id doesn't show anything I can't even report them.
I remember in the past calling a number and before my call would go thru I would have to enter my phone number so the party I was calling knew who was calling them. That is what I want to do. I want to block all calls from "no caller id" "number unavailable" Just FYI my phone is an IPHONE 5 and I am on Verizon.
Any help would be appreciated.

How do I add a site I want to block to the pop-up blocker?

After I looked something up at Merriam-Webster Dictionayr's online site, I started getting a pop-up for something called Degrees.info, with a URL of

I know how to add exceptions to my pop-up blocker, but not how to add a site I want to block. How do I block the above company's pop-up?

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Firefox keeps JSON backups of the bookmarks in the bookmarkbackups folder, one each day that Firefox has been started up to a maximum of 10.

Implementing non-blocking read

Hi all
I have some doubts about implementing non-blocking io in my application.
I am using Jsch library (an ssh implementation) to open an ssh connection with a host. The API only provides me with methods to open a connection and retreive the input & output streams. I want to make my read on inputstream non-blocking.In such a case is it possible to use nio for the purpose?
If it's not possible then I am planning to use threading to make read() non-blocking. Here also i need some clarifications. I am planning to use a ThreadPoolExecutor to create a thread pool for reading data. SO whenever i have a read i'll assign this task to the pool which will use one of the free threads to execute the inputStresm.read().
Now the question is if one of the threads in this pool blocks forever during a read since it didn't get any response from the other side, is there a way to stop that read and make that thread free again to execute more tasks? or will the thread block forever till the application is closed?
In my case i cannot afford to have too many such blocked threads, since this application will not be restarted very often. Once it is started it can go on for may be days or months.
Please suggest what would be best in my case taking into account performance as most important factor.

The replies have helped me to conclude that in this instance apple have failed by a long shot to provide any reliable help. I have exchanged chats with them and been told to just read variuos support notes which explain how to set the rules on an iPad. After many exchanges I was not convinced they had grasped the real problem. In the end they would appear to be wrong in the advice given. Apple were no help at all, I gave your replies a HELP star because they helped me conclude that.
The situation was and still is, the iPad was a gift to an 85 year old relative of mine, she loved it, really getting used to emails, photos,, web and so on. Suddenly things started to go wrong, photos started failing freezing up during uploads and albums sharing etc. in the end had to dump everything and with help call on Dropbox, all well now with that. Then an email from one of her eldly friends was delivered every 10 minutes, over 400 panic. Nobody gave any simple answer to her of the sender to stop the emails. She called me, 500 miles away to see if I could help, yep I said until you get someone close to help you just block that email address, easy or so I thought, you know the trauma from there.
I got the roundabout way to stop them with my own winbox and iPad., she as just got the iPad and is housebound. I have offered that if she gives me her security info I'l log into her iCloud mail in windows and set the rules and any other preferences for her.....highly desirable solution isn't it.
I,ll say to anyone that apple and many of it apps are not user friendly and fail badly. Sorry for being a bit longwiinded in this reply but it's given me some experience with this facility that again was not easy to master.

If you look in Settings-->General--> Accessibility, you will see there is an option called "restrictions" or something like that.
Ask someone who knows you to set up a code unknown to you and select in apps to authorize only 4+, 9+, 12+ and 17+ apps, since gambling apps should be available to only 18+

The above article discusses what to do if your phone is lost or stolen. If the device did not have iCloud turned on prior to the loss, there is nothing that you can do beyond changing your passwords to you apple id.

i want to block the high value input , so i use :

When the screen display, the field is block but there is value '0' (zero) in the field.
why?

Contact your wireless provider to see if they provide blacklisting.
None in the US currently do altho' it is being discussed; some
in Europe do. I do not know about the rest of the world. Be prepared
to document ownership if your Carrier provides blacklisting.
Remember that even if your Carrier will block your iPhone, that
will only apply in your area - if the iPhone is used in a different
part of the world, the blockage probably will not apply.

Contact your carrier to see if they offer call blocking services.
If you just don't want to be bothered, you can set a custom ringtone for all of your contacts, then create or download a "silent" ringtone and set a custom vibration pattern of "none" and assign them as the default ringtone and vibration pattern. This won't actually block the calls, but you won't hear it ring and they will roll to voicemail.

Sadly, as Call Bliss uses the built in Do Not Disturb feature, it requires that your screen be locked in order to function.
