Warning: Adobe Invoice Scam

Warning: Scam claiming to be an invoice from Adobe.
Looking at raw headers, the message obviously DID NOT come from Adobe. I'm sure the attached Word doc file has malicious content.
Adobe, please start using digital signatures on your customer email so we will never again have to figure out whether a message like the one below is legit or a scam?

Do not download Flash from this site.
  Quit Safari.
  Hold the shift key down and relaunch Safari.
Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Click "Reset".
Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
Turn off Extensions if any, and launch Safari.
Safari > Preferences > Extensions

    Hello all,
    Having been caught out with an Adobe Reader scam a month or so ago I am now very cautious about Adobe updates.
    For the past week or so I have been invited several times by Adobe Reader Updater - See attached image - to update Adobe Reader with the link bringing me here.
    I don't like the address. Is it legit?
    OS Windows 7. My Adobe Reader version is 9.4.0

    That is a legitimate update to the program.  If you install it, it will update Adobe Reader to version 9.4.1.  The update to Reader X must be done directly from their website.

    Hi Nilesh,
    try to check if you can choose OCR-B in Smartform Layout Designer.
    If not, then the font might be corrupt and you must turn to Basis team.
    If yes, then it is not a truetype font. And you muss upload a truetype font (.ttf, licenced font, might be with cost) into SAP by SE73. Something like this:

    I am approaching the forums after going through a tremendous check on both the ABAP Program and the Adobe form .
    We were almost on completion of invoice , everything was working from the header and the main body and we tested it.
    We have been developing the invoice for 35 bus days and we finally reached to Terms page when the adobe form does not show in print preview.
    We removed all the elements in the form which we changed lately and brought it back to the same stage where it was running smoothly, still the same issue , when we run the abap program it says form is executed but does not result in a pdf , our small test programs and default pdf test programs are all showing up in preview.
    ADS is working ,test programs are working fine its the custom program that is not generating a pdf .
    Did u have seen situations like these , any good suggestions to resolve this problem.

    If the test programs are working fine then I think the problem will be with the custom program.

    Well initially the error message we were getting was not leading us anywhere we checked the logs in st22 and still no result . It was the ADSUSER passwd was expired on the basis side which we never had any control of.
    The custom Form was fine.
    We did take into consideration the large fields but it was the ADSUSER that was the issue.

    Hi,
    I was askes to create a warning whenever someone pushes delete within an invoice (mir7). The problem is that our users are not aware, that they are really going to delete not only the marked position within the invoice but the whole invoice.
    I´ve tried to find a bapi or user-exit to place my coding but so far was unsuccessful, can anyone tell me if there is a badi or user-exit?

    Try BADI INVOICE_UPDATE (hope this is defined in your release).
    It's help says:
    "You can use the business add-in (INVOICE_UPDATE) to further process the following functions or, if necessary, forbid them:
    Creating invoices (invoices, credit memos, subsequent debits, subsequent credits) in Logistics Invoice Verification
    Parking documents in Logistics Invoice Verification, and making changes to these documents, for example, deleting them"

  • Having Adobe try scam me into thinking i have virus

    Called on to have tech help me install Adobe photoshop CS5 but they remotely logged into my computer and told me would not be able to install because having virus then they wanted to know if I wanted them to remove it for a cost. I said no went to Apple Store and they told me had issues on my lap top

    paid my bill 2 days ago
    get a phone call "This is BT it appears you haven't paid your bill" (the BT message) ... press 1 etc
    said "we require your account code" - didn't have it hung up
    dialed 100 got through to billing "your bill is paid"
    It's not BT it's someone trying it on simply enough by emulating the BT system - they would have taken my card number (for payment) and then cleaned my account out
    Lucky I didn't have it to hand - I would have continued ...
    Can a moderator please get in touch with me - this happened on my line 20 minutes ago.   It will be a mass attempt.
    Very simple - a phishing scam (when I say phishing it's where you get a fake web page to extract your credit card details).
    But much simpler (by phone)

    If you can send us an email using the contact us form in my profile with any information you have regarding this call, the number it came from for example, we would be grateful.
    We can feed this back. It is very important to note that if BT where to telephone you in your home especially with an automated system you would not be asked to enter your account number.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 stops during export (Adobe Media Encoder also)

    Hello,
    I have been using the Adobe CS6 Video Bundle for a few years now and suddenly I've been having an issue with exporting my timelines in an H.264 format.
    Any H.264 video that I try to export that exceeds approximately 900MB stops in the middle of the export and gives me this message:
    My video bundle has been doing some odd things lately and this is possibly the most annoying. My computer is a custom built workstation so it's not like my computer can't handle it.
    -Intel i7 4.2ghz overclocked CPU
    -32GB RAM
    -Adobe Video Bundle installed in 120GB SSD
    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    -I tried exporting an AVI and the file exported succesfully but with a warning "Adobe Media Encoder Could not write XMP data in output file." The file plays fine though and is over 5.5GB. So that's odd that my h.264 which is under 1GB won't fully export.
    -Yes, the same thing happens when exporting directly from PrPro instead of using AME.
    -In this project I am using NO Dynamic Links.
    -I have not installed any codec libraries.
    -I do not use 3rd party plug-ins.
    -My destination drive has several terabytes.
