WCF, DirectoryServices namespace, and Impersonation.

I am working on a WCF service that can perform basic Active Directory operations (create users for instance).
Is there a way to get WCF to work with Impersonation (believe impersonation is what I want) so each function in the code that uses DirectoryEntry doesn't need to manually specify the username/password to query against AD with? I am hoping there is a way
to use Impersonation and define the AD user to use in a IIS App Pool.
For instance, here is a code sample:
using (DirectoryEntry DE_SecGroupParentDN = new DirectoryEntry())
try
DE_SecGroupParentDN.Path = "LDAP://" + input_ADSecGroupInfo.SecGroupParentDN;
DE_SecGroupParentDN.Username = "username";
DE_SecGroupParentDN.Password = "password";
DirectoryEntry DE_SecGroupName = DE_SecGroupParentDN.Children.Add("CN=" + input_ADSecGroupInfo.SecGroupName, "group");
DE_SecGroupName.Properties["sAMAccountName"].Add(input_ADSecGroupInfo.SecGroupName);
DE_SecGroupName.Properties["description"].Add(input_ADSecGroupInfo.SecGroupDescription);
DE_SecGroupName.CommitChanges();
DE_SecGroupName.Dispose();
return "CN=" + input_ADSecGroupInfo.SecGroupName + "," + input_ADSecGroupInfo.SecGroupParentDN;
catch
return "Something went wrong";
The areas I bolded....is what I am hoping to eliminate and somehow use impersonation/IIS App Pool to specify the credentials to use.
Any ideas if this is possible?

Make sure an spn is set  for the app pool, delegation is set in AD, and that the app pool account has the act as part of the os privilege.

  • WCF OracleDB binding and different Oracle schema on different environment

    Hi All,
    I am facing an issue related to WCF OracleDB binding and Oracle schema's. The thing is we have to generate schemas from Oracle Stored Procedures which are in Packages and in a Particular Oracle Schema say ADPPDBO. Now when I generate the schemas from SP
    the Oracle schema name is embedded in the namespace of the generated schema ->
    http://Microsoft.LobServices.OracleDB/2007/03/ADPPDBO/Package/PKG_DP_SCAN_BATCH
    This works fine when running on the DEV environment But what would happen if we have multiple environment and different Oracle schema names on those environment ? Say on QA you could have ADPPDBOQA instead of ADPPDBO. Now your BizTalk schemas have
    been generated using ADPPDBO embedded in the namespace and the solution will fail on other environments. To mitigate this I have used UseSchemaInNamespace property to
    false, this solved my problem partially as this removed ADPPDBO from Schema namespace but its records are still getting generated with ADPPDBO.
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards,
    Rahul Madaan

    Hi All,
    Solved the issue by using custom pipeline component and removing the unwanted Oracle schema name from the namespace. I am receiving the response from SP as an XMLDocument but I could not use untyped message as I have generated .NET classes from the schema's
    generated from Oracle database and I am deserializing the message to particular schema type.
    Morten,
    I agree with you that on each and every environment schema names should be same. Since we are implementing this new feature in our project to interact with Oracle but Oracle DB and schema structure was well defined from years like this only so there was
    no option but to compensate from BizTalk end.
    Also I was not able to figure out how to generate untyped schema from Oracle Schema, any links or blogs for that ?
    Regards,
    Rahul Madaan

  • BSOD on Server 2012 running dfs namespace and dfs replication roles with deduplication

    Hello,
    I have recently setup 2 dfsn & dfsr servers, both 2012 one physical the other virtual.
    The idea is to have one server as primary and the other as a failover \ DR.
    The primary server is virtual and connects via mpio \ iscsi to a dell san, using the provided dell DSM Drivers.
    The secondary server is physical with local disk for storage.
    I copy files to a namespace setup to always prefer the primary server, these files are then replicated across to the secondary.
    I have also turned on deduplication on both servers to get the most out of the available storage.
    This has been working well for 6 months or so, there have however been 2-3 occasions where the primary virtual server has crashed and blue screened causing the DFSR database to undergo a full consistency check.
    The bug check errors i have managed to extract from the Memory.dmp and mini dump are as follows:
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis
    REFERENCE_BY_POINTER (18)
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 0000000000000000, Object type of the object whose reference count is being lowered
    Arg2: fffffa80379a3070, Object whose reference count is being lowered
    Arg3: 0000000000000002, Reserved
    Arg4: ffffffffffffffff, Reserved
        The reference count of an object is illegal for the current state of the object.
        Each time a driver uses a pointer to an object the driver calls a kernel routine
        to increment the reference count of the object. When the driver is done with the
        pointer the driver calls another kernel routine to decrement the reference count.
        Drivers must match calls to the increment and decrement routines. This bugcheck
        can occur because an object's reference count goes to zero while there are still
        open handles to the object, in which case the fourth parameter indicates the number
        of opened handles. It may also occur when the object?s reference count drops below zero
        whether or not there are open handles to the object, and in that case the fourth parameter
        contains the actual value of the pointer references count.

    I have searched for others having a similar problem but have not managed to find much.
    The memory dump at the time of the crash does seem to hint at a problem with DFSR.exe.
    The setup seems to be running fine again now and is going through its consistency checks, it is just a major inconvenience and will only get worse as the DFS becomes busier and approaches capacity.
    The plan was to put this setup into production however with the unpredictability of blue screen reboots I cannot see this happening until I can find a fix or work around.
    I have yet to see this problem occur on the other (physical) server, this is pretty much identical in configuration apart from its storage access.
    My thoughts are a possible bug in the DFSR component or a bug in the DSM Drivers used for the iSCSI SAN connection or maybe a combination of the two.
    Any help, thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated
    Thanks

    The issue may be due to the DFSRoot folder has lost NTFS permission. Some reasons why DFS root lose ACLs Links are listed in the article below:

  • XML Payload does not have namespace and prefix.

    Hello
    I have created a consumer business service which will be called from JDEdwards EOne, pulls data from database and send it to Fusion Middleware.
    SO, I have created proxy using JAX-WS option. And suggested in oracle doc, I created proxy outside OMW and then copied it to my project. XML payload is getting generated without namespace and prefix. After some research, I modified package-info.java. Now, I am able to send the payload and if test it locally from Jdeveloper and take xml output using marshaller I can see it has namespace and prefix as well. BUt, when I run this from server it does not have namespace and prefix.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    TK

    Hi Naresh,
    The "rejectedMessage" property is for 10G, I am not 100% sure about its implementation in 11G.
    In 10G the faulted XML file moves to this location "Oracle_Home\bpel\domains\domain_name\jca\project_directory\rejectedMessages".
    This property is used to move the files which are not valid XML or which are not schema compliant. For DB polling I don't think this property is used.

  • Namespace and prefix are not coming up in xml payload created from BSSV

    Hello
    I am facing this issue that when I am creating xml payload from BSSV, payload does not have namespace and no prefix. I googled on this and made code change in package-info. java file. Now, when I test BSSV locally from Jdeveloper xml gets created with namespace but when I run it from server, there's no namespace.
    Does this file package-info.java gets deployed on server? is it ok to make change to it? If not, then what is the other way to resolve this issue?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks

  • PI 7.4 - AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean - remove namespace and prefix

    Hi,
    In my receiver SOAP adapter I would like to remove the namespace and prefix. To do this I have configured the receiver SOAP adapter to include AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean:
    The message log shows "Anonimizer: successfully anonymized" but when I look at the message payload (after message mapping) it still contains the namespace and prefix. Is this because message monitoring does not show the payload after the Anonimizer has been processed? Is it only possible to see the Anonimized payload at the receiver party?
    Thanks
    Che

    Hi Che,
    Yes, you can only see the final result at the receiver's side.
    What you can do is temporarily use a receiver file adapter and write an XML on disk to verify.
    Kind regards,
    Dimitri

Now, I am able to send the payload and if test it locally from Jdeveloper and take xml output using marshaller I can see it has namespace and prefix as well. BUt, when I run this from server it does not have namespace and prefix.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    TK

    Just to clerify,
    The common complex types are StatusInfo, IdcProperty and IdcPropertyList. I ahve 3 more WSDL's with the exact same entires for those 3.

  • Delete namespace and prefix with Seeburger X.400 receiver

    Dear experts,
    I have a problem deleting a namespace and prefixes "ns0" from an XML output. When testing I was using an FTP receiver adapter with the AnonymizerBean which worked perfectly. I referred to: /people/stefan.grube/blog/2007/02/02/remove-namespace-prefix-or-change-xml-encoding-with-the-xmlanonymizerbean
    Now I have a Seeburger X.400 receiver adapter and the AnonymizerBean does not work anymore.
    The output message looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ns0:ORDERRESPONSE xmlns:ns0="http://www.opentrans.org/XMLSchema/1.0" version="1.0">
    <ns0:ORDERRESPONSE_HEADER>
    <ns0:ORDERRESPONSE_INFO>
    <ns0:ORDER_ID>xxxxx</ns0:ORDER_ID>
    So I need to get rid of the namespace and the prefixes "ns0". Does anyone know how to configure the module of the X.400 receiver adapter to do this?
    Thank you very much for your help!
    Best regards,
    Peter

  • Draft proposal: Namespaces and CSS

    Hey all,
    This is a draft proposal for how we'll update CSS support to handle
    disambiguating classes via namespace. Feedback appreciated here for now so
    when we get to the formal mini-spec we can rush it through.
    Keeping in mind that most folks have indicated they don't use Type selectors
    much in CSS...
    - Namespace qualification is now required for type selectors in CSS style
    declarations.
    - Gumbo will use the CSS3 suggested syntax for declaring namespaces and
    prefixing type selectors. For the most common component namespace the
    default namespace can be used (ignore the actual namespace url value):
    @namespace "http://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
    Button { color: #990000; }
    Otherwise, prefixes can be specified for each namespace:
    @namespace "http://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
    @namespace cx "com.mycompany.*";
    Button { color: #990000; }
    cx|MyFancyButton { color: #000099; }
    - The namespace mappings that are currently used to map MXML tags to
    ActionScript class names will also apply to CSS3 type selectors. These
    mappings draw information from configured manifests in flex-config.xml,
    swcs' catalog.xml files, and local package namespaces (e.g. how in MXML you
    use xmlns:c="com.mycompany.*" to scope the package name for your custom
    component). Note that namespace/prefix mappings defined in MXML do not
    apply to the enclosing CSS.
    - Type selectors that are either not qualified by a namespace or do not
    resolve to an ActionScript class linked into the Application cause a warning
    at compile time.
    - The version compatibility flag forces the compiler to ignore type selector
    prefixes. This allows Flex 3 applications to continue to use type selectors
    without namespaces.
    - The runtime will only match against fully qualified class names going
    forward. When the compatibility version flag is set for Flex 3 or earlier,
    it only matches against local names.
    - When updating from Flex3, applications will either have to run in
    compatibility mode, or qualify their CSS type selectors using namespaces. We
    continue to discourage type selectors anywhere but the root application
    file, and a warning will be given if type selectors are used outside of the
    root application.

    Is modifying the default namespace per file allowed or will it always be
    the spark namespace?
    Scenario 1.
    Styles1.css
    @namespace "http://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
    Button { color: #990000; }
    Styles2.css
    @namespace "com.effectiveui.controls.*";
    SearchButton { color: #990000; }
    Scenario 2.
    File com/effectiveui/controls/SearchButton.mxml
      @namespace "com.effectiveui.controls.*";
    SearchButton { color: #990000; }
    Are these valid?
    Are class selectors scoped to the default/custom namespace and then just
    ignored by the style manager implementation, or are they always compiled
    into the global space?
    Do you expect Flex Builder 4 will provide autocompletion and namespace
    insertion when defining type selectors in css files?

  • Best Practice Adding New Target to Namespace and Replication

    Hi,
    whats the best way to add a new target to Namespace and replication. Goal is to replace a old file Server at the end.
    I did the following:
    - copied the share with robocopy incl timestamps of files and folders
    - created share
    - added the new share as a new target as well as meshd member of the replication connection
    - disabled the new member in the Namespace, so no one can Access it until dfsr is fully done and initialized
    After the the new dfsr Connection was replicated through AD to all 4 Members (3 different site, 1 same site) the
    following happend:
    dfsr begin and almost every file was in a conflicted and copied over the the Conflict Folder. Almost all timestamps
    of the Folders were changed to the current date, but the timestamps of the files not.
    Thousands of eventlogs: 4412
    The DFS Replication service detected that a file was changed on multiple servers. A conflict resolution algorithm was used to determine the winning file. The losing file was moved to the Conflict and Deleted folder.
    Any idea why? Later on i disabled the Connections to the remote Fileservers, but that did not stop it.
    My idea was to pre-seed the files with robocopy. So what would be the best way to prevent that for the next share ? Is it a better way to just add the target to a bi-directional Connection to the local Fileserver without adding to DFS-N and without copying
    the files before ? Is it better to let DFSR do the hole Initial sync incl Files ?
    At the end i have no loss of date but to check almost every file for conflict took Ages to finish.
    Thanks a lot,
    Marco

    Hi,
    The steps you performed are correct - compare with waiting for DFS initial replication, a manually pre-staging is recommended.
    When doing the Robocopy step, wether all attributes are copied such as NTFS permissions?
    After robocopy, you can add that folder as a folder target of DFS replication group - you can add it to DFS namespace after replication finished.
    And if it is a Windows 2012 R2, you can prestaging DFS database for a better result.

  • Same Custome HR infotype twice once without namespace and with namespace

    Hello all i just want to know can we create same custom infotype (eg 9060) two times once with namespace (eg /companyname/9060) and also withoutname space (eg 9060).
    those who dont know what is namespace, we can reserve a namespace in accordance with SAP so that we can develop all our development component in ourname space instead of initiating with Z or Z. it starts with "/"  (eg "/namespace name/ object name")
    I tried it but Infotype attributes are same for both infotype but i have different other components eg. DDIC structurea and table name and screen name. i also tried to see in PA30 after creating it but it not able to see 2 infotype infact 1 only.
    So my question is it possible to create Custome infotype twice once without namespace and also with namespace???
    Any reply will be appreciated.
    Mani

    Well i am able to create two infotype component but when i am trying to access them then i am getting on first on. explaination below will give  u more light
    Infotype without namespace : 9060
    other component:
    P9060
    PA9060
    PS9060
    etc
    Infotype with namespace : 9060
    /namespace/P9060
    /namespace/PS9060
    /namespace/PA9060
    etc
    But i dont need frontend of infotype so i am still confused can i go with this or not.
    the requirement arises as we developed an package previously with infotype without namespace but ow we have our own namespace and want to transfer all the stuff to our namespace.

  • WCF Publishing wizard and soapAction

    Hi,
    I have published some schemas using the WCF Publishing wizard. when I use a tool such as SOAPUI the action is dynamically set to
    http://xxx/external/membership/2014/06/MembershipServices/GetMembershipClassesRequest
    which seems to be made up of target namespace of the Service/ServiceName/RootNodeOfSchemaRequest
    when I look at the wsdl the soapAction is the name of the operation eg GetMembershipClasses. When using another tool - SoapSonar the action being sent is the value from the WSDL file GetMembershipClasses.
    It is important that the full URI
    http://xxx/external/membership/2014/06/MembershipServices/GetMembershipClassesRequest be reflected in the WSDL as I am resolving itineraries based on the wcf action property.
    How can I change the soapAction in the wsdl to use the full URI? is this possible?. The workaround I am using is to save the wsdl file and then update the soapAction and then import this into SoapSonar. I would prefer to be able to browse to the service
    eg
    http://xxx/External/Membership/2014/06/MembershipServices.svc?singleWsdl and have the soapAction be the URI not the operation name.
    Thanks
    Biztalk Developer

    Hi Jody,
    Just imported couple of WSDLs which are schemas exposed WCF services into the following tools to test the behaviour.
    SOAPUI
    SoapSonar (Personal 6)
    WCFStorm (just  to cross verify, explored an another publicly available popular tool)
    All of them show SOAPAction as what's in the WSDL, they all have same behaviour.
    Moreover if any reliable tool capable to testing WCF service would read the values from WSDL and they would not differ. And if any tool is behaving differently than what in the WSDL(SoapSonar is certainly not), you should post this question in the forum
    specific to that tool, not in BizTalk MSDN forum as this issue is not related to BizTalk.
    And as mentioned in my earlier comment "If you want to set any filter for
    itineraries, I would prefer to set the filter based on the WSDL definition. So check the “soapAction”
    property. Other option is to set the filter based on SOAP.MethodName which would be equivalent to the webmethod you would have given in the WCF-Publishing wizard while exposing your schema as service."
