WDDeploymentException

hi
I have the following problem:
When trying to load a pdf interactive form I get a :
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.PDFDocumentCreationException:
When I click the 'Click here to download the error pdf' link the following error displays:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.deployment.api.WDDeploymentException: Failed to get deployable object part for application 'someproject.com' of deployable object 'someproject.com/appl~someproject_wdp'.
There seems to be a problem with the data being sent to the interactive form.
I've opened a byte stream to the pdfSource but the data is null.
The pdf form is bounded to a node that does contain valid data since I can display the data in a web dynpro 'view' using a tabel.
The pdf source type is binary.
Another thing thats odd is that I have other applications perviously created with interactive forms and they all seem to work fine.
Data binding is in place on the interactive form, so I doubt it if that could be the problem.
I've made 100% sure that the application is deployed properly.
Any suggestions or other trouble shooting methods I can use?
t.i.a.
Alwyn

Alwyn,
  Check your application log and server log it might have a valuable information if there is any problem with the application or ADS configuration or credentials.

    Hi,
    No progress yet. it seems everything is fine in code but there could be some issue with browser.
    When i view the source of application in browser, i found below code:
    out of which alt="Due to browser or system restrictions, this active component (applet) cannot be installed, executed or displayed"
    is important.

  • How to open a new IE page when user clicks on a button or link

    Hi Experts,
    I have created WD program which fetches data from R/3.
    I have to create a link or button on the WD program. When the user will click on the link, another IE page should open. Some processing will be carried out by WD. The result of WD processing should be displayed in this new IE page.
    Regards,
    Gary

    Hi Gary,
    You need to create a seperate window and embed a new view in it. and yeah for accessing that window you need to create one apllication also which is connected to this window.
    Then in the event handler of the button's click action write the follwing code:-
    String deployableObjectName =
                   wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart().getDeployableObjectName();
    try {
                   // Get deployable object part of target application.
                   // Precondition: assume, that other application belongs to the same
                   // Web Dynpro Project (Deployable Object)
                   WDDeployableObjectPart deployableObjectPart =
                        WDDeployableObject.getDeployableObjectPart(
                             deployableObjectName,
                             <window name>,
                             WDDeployableObjectPartType.APPLICATION);
                   urlToTargetApp =
                        WDURLGenerator.getWorkloadBalancedApplicationURL(
                             deployableObjectPart,
                             UrlParam);
              } catch (WDURLException e) {
              } catch (WDDeploymentException e) {
                              IWDWindow win1 =  wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createNonModalExternalWindow(urlToTargetApp,"Ouput");
    win1.show();
    This will open a new window and then in the wddoinit of the new window's view you can execute the bapi and display the content accordingly.

  • Link to URL -- How to use it?

    Hi Experts,
    I have created LinktoURL UI element in my WD program1. I have to call WD program2 from WD program1 using this LinktoURL UI element. I had earlier written code like as below. The code was working fine. Now my problem is that code is not working any more. Can you please provide me some guidelines. What is the generaic method to call one WD program using other WD program using LinktoURL. I had created context called URL and wrote the code in wdDoModify. Problem is earlier code was working fine. Its not working now !!!
    Thanks

    Gary
    I have the same scenario and this code works very well:
    change "BBAprovacoesPendentes" for your target application name.
      public void onActionAprovacoesPendentes(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
        //@@begin onActionAprovacoesPendentes(ServerEvent)
           //Get component's message manager
           IWDMessageManager messageMgr = wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
           // Get name of deployable object this component belongs to
           String deployableObjectName = wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart().getDeployableObjectName();
           Map urlParameters = new HashMap();
           // get URL parameter value entered by user, stored in context attribute
           // u2018UrlParamValueu2019. Put parameter u2018hugou2019 in the sneak preview version.
           try {
           // Get deployable object part of target application.
           // Precondition: assume, that other application belongs to the same
           // Web Dynpro Project (Deployable Object)
           WDDeployableObjectPart deployableObjectPart =
           WDDeployableObject.getDeployableObjectPart(
           deployableObjectName,
           "BBAprovacoesPendentes",
           WDDeployableObjectPartType.APPLICATION);
           // Get target URL based on deployable object part and URL parameters 8
           String urlToTargetApp = WDURLGenerator.getApplicationURL(deployableObjectPart, urlParameters);
           // Fire exit plug to target URL via IPublic-API of used interface view
           // controller
           wdThis.wdGetRequisicaoCompraWindowController().wdFirePlugExitPlug( urlToTargetApp );
           } catch (WDURLException e) {

    String deployableObjectName =  wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart().getDeployableObjectName();

                     wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException(ex.getLocalizedMessage(), false);
    Thanks & Regards
    Swetha

    Hi Swetha,
    Please try this code in the application which is now launched from the 1st application. You can write this code in the wdDoinit() method OR the firstTime loop of the wdDoModify function:
    String applicationParam = WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("A");
    Here "A" is the name of the attribute in which you are setting the parameter value CVNR.
    You will get the URL parameter you have passed to this application from the first application. I hope this solves your problem, if yu have any issues please contact back.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pravesh

  • Problem when trying to login webdynpro application

    Hello,
    we developed a WebDynpro application using basic authentification.
    It works fine. If the user logs in, everything is ok.
    But there is a strange problem if the user presses the ENTER button twice during the login process after entering the password.
    In that case the user gets a stack trace with the following content:
    Caused by: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.deployment.api.WDDeploymentException: Failed to get deployable object part for application 'j_security_check' of deployable object 'local/SCOPrototyp'.
         at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.serverimpl.core.deployment.AbstractDeployableObject.getApplication(AbstractDeployableObject.java:91)
         at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.task.Task.getApplicationDeployableObjectPart(Task.java:383)
         ... 43 more
    I have found out that the 'j_security_check' is the application which is normally called to change a password. After refreshing the user is logged in.
    Any idea?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Have you tried to put the Main-Class under a package (e.g. move LaunchSimulator to org.jyothi.sunke.LaunchSimulator or something)? I'm not sure but it's possible that Main-Class can't be located in the "root package", because the JAR launcher can't address it.
    Always put your stuff in a package, otherwise it can't be addressed by other packaged classes.

  • Doubts while doing  example on WDJ-Using Web Dynpro Component Interface

    Hi
    I am doing the example mentioned in the PDF file WDJ - Using Web Dynpro Component Interface Definition.
    In the PDF file its mentioned the following code inside onActionCreateDC1:
    g_Usage.createComponent("com.sap.wd.childdc1comp.ChldDC1Comp");
    wdThis.wdGetWDCompInterfInstInterface().passInfo(
    "Created Child DC 1");
    I have one query that what is com.sap.wd.childdc1comp.ChldDC1Comp?Is it the component name of DC or the package name of DC?
    I have deployed the application.When i click on button Create Child DC1 i am getting follwing exception:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.deployment.api.WDDeploymentException: Failed to load deployable object part 'com.wartsila.test.ChileDC1Comp', type 'Component' of deployable object 'wartsila.com/DP_TutWDInterfaces'.
    When i click on Create Child DC2 i am getting follwing exception:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException:Failed to create delegate for custom controller com.wartsila.test1.ChildDC2CompInterfaceCfg. (Hint: Is the corresponding DC deployed correctly? Does the DC contain the component?)
    Can anybody tell how can i solve it?
    Is it required to deploy the two child component also that is ChildDC1Comp and ChildDC2Comp?If yes then how to deploy these two child DC as when i am tryng to create application for these two component then default plug is showing blank thats why i am unable to deploy these child Dcs.
    Thanks
    Susmita

    Hi Susmita,
                      Is it required to deploy the two child component also that is ChildDC1Comp and ChildDC2Comp?
    Yes , u have to deploy both the components.
    when i am tryng to create application for these two component then default plug is showing blank thats why i am unable to deploy these child Dcs.
    U need not create an Application for deploying the component .Right Click on ur project --> Deploy.
    The problem is with ur Component, while creating a Component u should have created a Interface view and default StartUp plug.
    Just check whether u have Created the startup plug for ur interface view.
    Open the controller editor of ur interface view --> Select Plugs Tab .
    and in the plug tab , check whether u have Default Start plug (in Inbound Plugs Table).
    if there is no Default Start Plug , then click the Button New to create a Default Plug .
    in the pop up window -- select Stsrt Up and Give the name of the plug as "Default".
    After doing this , select the default plug and Right click on the plug -->copy  and Open the window Controller editor -- > select Plugs Tab --> check whether u have default plug (in Inbound plugs) in the Window controller .
    if the plug is not there , then paste the plug in the Window's Inbound Plug Table .
    Hope it helps
    Thanks and Regards

    Hello
    Thanks for the reply guys.  The ADS has been activated and was working earlier.....The Adobe Credential file exists at the path :
    \usr\sap\*sys-id*\SYS\global\AdobeDocumentServices\TrustManagerService\trust\credentials which is a .pfx -file of type P12-record and which is valid till 2023. Do we still need to order the credentials....?
    Looking forward to your reply.

  • Open View or Window in a external window (popup)

    Hi experts!
    I have the following issue:
    - I know how to open a external window from a given URL, but my problem is that I want this new external window to open and show one of my own windows and I don't know how to get the window's URL. Any Idea???
    Please help or redirect me to some doc or post. Thanks.

    Hi,
    If you want the url of the another window in your WD Component. As per my knowledge you need to have a seperate application to be created for this window also.
    For Example you have Window1 (View1 is embeded in this window) and Window2(View2 is embeded in this window). Now you need the url of the Window2.
    So for this purpose you need to create two applications for this WD Component.
    For example App1 (Created for Window1InterfaceView) and App2 (Created for Window2InterfaceView).
    Now use this below code to open the Window2 URL in a sepearate window.
    // Get name of deployable object this component belongs to
    String deployableObjectName =
    wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart().getDeployableObjectName();
    Map urlParameters = new HashMap();
    // If there are any application parameters you need to pass to App2 you can set those in urlParameters
    // as urlParameters.put("key","value");
    try {
    // Get deployable object part of target application.
    // Precondition: assume, that other application belongs to the same
    // Web Dynpro Project (Deployable Object)
    WDDeployableObjectPart deployableObjectPart =WDDeployableObject.getDeployableObjectPart(
    deployableObjectName,"App2",WDDeployableObjectPartType.APPLICATION);
    // Get target URL based on deployable object part and URL parameters
    String urlToTargetApp =WDURLGenerator.getApplicationURL(deployableObjectPart, urlParameters);
    //Open this urlToTargetApp in external window.
    IWDWindow window = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager(.createNonModalExternalWindow(urlToTargetApp,"Window2");
    window.show();
    } catch (WDURLException e) {
    messageMgr.reportException(e.getLocalizedMessage(), false);
    } catch (WDDeploymentException ex) {
    messageMgr.reportException(ex.getLocalizedMessage(), false);
    Note:/Warning:  We are opening another window using another WebDynpro application.
    Here it creates a seperate WDComponent instacne. You can't access Window1(View1)'s existing context data in Window2(View2). The only way is you can pass some data using app/url parameters.
    Apart from this as per my knowledge there is no other way to get the url for a Window.

    Charan

  • Self-Service Customization

    Hi Gurus,
    I am developing a customized Self-Service application. And I have configured the Application Properties as given in help.sap.com.
    But when I try to deploy and run the application, I get this error.
    The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
       com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.deployment.api.WDDeploymentException: Failed to load deployable object part 'com.sap.pcuigp.xssutils.ccpcd.CcXssPcd', type 'Component' of deployable object 'sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils'.

    I am not able to figure out why this is happening. I have added the xssutils and xssfpm as Used DCs too.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anjana R.

    Thanks Ayyapparaj.
    The issue was with the ERP version. The client was using mySAP ERP 2004. I assumed that it was ERP 2005.
    Thanks for your reply.

    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.deployment.api.WDDeploymentException: Failed to load deployable object part 'AmendAgrmntApp', type 'Application' of deployable object 'aramco.com/itcaesaleswebamndagrmnt'.
    Failed to generate URL to deployable object 'aramco.com/itcaesaleswebamndagrmnt', application 'AmendAgrmntApp'
    Please suggest a solution
    Thanks !

    According to the API at http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/wd/com/sap/tc/webdynpro/services/sal/url/api/WDURLGenerator.html
    There must be a deployable object part of type WDDeployableObjectPartType.APPLICATION with the given applicationPartName within the deployable object with name deployableObjectName

  • Navigation between applications

    Hello everyone,
    i had a problem while Navigating from one application to another application.....in webdynpro project.
    i had two application in one webdynpro project. i am passing one url string in first application exit plug.
    using the code below.
    String deployableObjectName =wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart()     .getDeployableObjectName();
    Map urlParameters = new HashMap();
    //     get URL parameter value entered by user, stored in context attribute
    urlParameters.put("A",                              wdContext.currentContextElement().getA());
    urlParameters.put("B",wdContext.currentContextElement().getB());                                                                 try {
                                                                          WDDeployableObjectPart deployableObjectPart =
                                            WDDeployableObject.getDeployableObjectPart(
                                                      deployableObjectName,
                                                      "TreeApp",
                                                      WDDeployableObjectPartType.APPLICATION);
                                            String urlToTreeApp =
                                                 WDURLGenerator.getApplicationURL(
                                                      deployableObjectPart,
                                                      urlParameters);
                                                                               wdThis
                                                 .wdGetLoginCompInterfaceViewController()
                                                 .wdFirePlugLoginAppExit(
                                                 urlToTreeApp);
                                       } catch (WDURLException e) {
                                            messageMgr.reportException(
                                                 e.getLocalizedMessage(),
                                                 false);
                                       } catch (WDDeploymentException ex) {
                                            messageMgr.reportException(
                                                 ex.getLocalizedMessage(),
                                                 false);
    then this i am receiving in second application inboundplug that is onDefaultplug,there i had given corresponding parameters.
    Everything is working fine.
    My problem is : the parameters whch i am passing are showing in addressbar as query string.I dont want to show them there.
    Is there any other way to witch i can pass parameters from one application to other application without displaying at url.
    anybody help me.
