We have problem to create or change users

Hi All,
               We have problem to create or change users we are getting error:
           /GMIES/USR1VAR is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table, projection view or database view.
      Please let me know what needs to be done.

Hi Markus,
It was due to plugin we had problem , it was not allowing to do any changes in user master records .no one could able to do anything but then we got some correction transport request containing correction to that after importing that transport request it solved the problem.

Your nano would really have nothing to do with it at that point. It is really something between iTunes and whatever server out there on the internet that it is trying to connect to for the update.
Try posting this one in the iTunes forum, they might have a solution for you.

I have problems with creating new projects in iMovie.

I have problems with creating new projects. When i try, the mac says the following "Make sure there is enough disk space and that you have permission to write the projects to the drive." I have 8GB available, so its not that.

Problem while creating a new user on solaris

I have a SUN ultra machine. Solaris 2.6 is installed on this machine.
I have successfully created a new user in this machine using "admintool"
Problem is I'm getting error messages when I'm trying to update NIS DATABASE.
I'm doing-
#cd /var/yp
#/usr/ccs/bin/make
and the response is----
updated passwd
pushed passwd
make:Warning:Don't know how to make target /etc/ethers
Current working directory /var/yp
make:Warning:Don't know how to make target /etc/netgroup
Current working directory /var/yp
make:Warning:Don't know how to make target /etc/bootparams

Couldn't find /etc/timezone

I had the a similar problem with new users on sloaris 8.
I wasn't able to add new users and change the shell variable while using admintool.
Login back into the console would simply not happen.
All i've been able to find is that changing the users' variable - i.e. .login or .profile to match that of a working existing user (root),
would skip over the problems.
Other variables in the skeleton files were helpful. I suggest you take a look at them.

Follow up Problem mesages created by Key users

Hi Experts,
I am in the process of creating Service Desk in Solution manager 4.0
Whenever key user creates a message from Satellite system after creation of successful message , user is getting Problem message no as 00000000xx.
When I want to check the particular ticket using T code dnotifwl , I am getting problem message created by user but there is no problem message number assigned to ticket instead message having Notification No as 09999999yy. Both are not same.
when I use T code : crm_dno_monitor , I am getting Mesage no as ID number.
my questions are :
1) Which T code needs to be used by support team to check the tickets and resolve issues.?
2) what is the difference between Notification No and Message ID ?
3) How key user will check the status of ticket ? Does user need to use Message Id number or Notification No to check the status of ticket created by him?
Pls help me in answering my queries.

Drop down by key will be used to map simple types created in dictionary . This simple type will have Key and the value. The value will be displayed in the drop down and by selecting it, we can get the corresponding key.
if u r using drop down by key , than proceed like this :
1 declare a context node of cardinality 0..1
2 declare attribute of type string under it . The attribute name should be exactly the same as that in database table '
eg if u want to poulate values for a field ' SYS' from table , than giv the attribute name as 'SYS' in context attribute
3 declare internal table of type standard table
4 populate internal table with values
5 take the refernce of the node , u have created
6 bind it with the internal table
here is one code as an example for ur reference , which shud display texts

Can a pdf have problems when created with multiple PDF versions?

In our everyday workflow, we have PDFs created from different versions. Our main files are created as PDF v1.5, but then we might import pages created from another software that is v1.3, then we might scan and add a page that is created as v1.6. Has anyone noticed any issues with files created this way? I am troubleshooting some problem files and wonder if this could be contributing.

Could possibly be an issue, but it likely depends on the features used. The major problem would be going from later versions to prior versions in terms of the version you open everything in. If you are using the latest version for the editing, I would not see why there would be a problem. Earlier versions of Acrobat may have problems with PDFs saved in later versions, but that can typically be fixed with Reduce File Size or the PDF Optimizer.

I have problems when I save changes in a globla Variable.

I'm using this examples for use global variables from two differents PCs.The problem is that the changes made in the global variable are not saved, even when I´m working in local.

I don't see a problem when running on my local machine (I do not have two linked machines available). The global retains the last data entered as long as it is running. When LabVIEW restarts the global will contain the default value for each data type until you place something else into it, either manually or by usintg the Set Value.vi (look at Help for Globals). If the data needs to be retained between runs, then write the data in the global to a file before shutting down and read the file and write the data to the global upon starting up.

Best way to create a "change user password" site?

I want to provide my users with a page where they can change their password. I thought that I could just use the one from the system application (changepw.htm). But it doesn't feature the design2003 and my application has to have a consistent look and feel.
So I copied it and tried to get it working but that wasn't possible because it relies on an application class which I can't get working (it relies on the IF_BSP_APPLICATION_EVENTS) because I don't want to use it as a general application-class and so some methods will not be called.
It seems that the only choice left is to start my own site which will reuse most of the code from the system application class. But before I start reinventing the wheel I would like to know: How have you implemented this functionality?

My approach was the following. I created a new controller and a new view for the password site. Then I extracted all the useful methods from the CL_BSP_LOGIN_APPLICATION class and put it in my controller class. I recycled all the translation stuff so that the page is available in different languages and I also used a lot code from the CHANGE_PW_PROCESSING method. I think it took me nearly a day to get everything working. The most annoying part was testing it because our sap system didn't allow you to change your password twice a day so I had to use lots of test user accounts
Regarding your other question. I have never worked with the BW but from a technical standpoint I am sure that it's possible to change your password when https/SSO is not enabled. But I would never allow my users to change their password when they are not using https.

Problem in creating a new User in demo CC&B

I have set up CC&B 2.1 with demo data in windows machine. Default Base user is SYSUSER and password is sysuser00. Now i created a new custom user in the Users Page, but i dont know where to set up the password for this user. I could not login with my system's network password for the custom user. Am i missing something ?. Any suggestions would surely help

You probably want to create USER01 / USER0100 as a test first. Once you create this user in Web Logic, you will want to be sure to add this user to the "cisusers" group. Here are the instructions for adding a user inside Web Logics (you will also find detailed instructions inside the Help of Web Logics);
Logon to Web Logics console;
To create a user:
1. In the left pane select Security Realms.
2. On the Summary of Security Realms page select the name of the realm (for example, myrealm).
3. On the Settings for Realm Name page select Users and Groups > Users.
The User table displays the names of all users defined in the Authentication provider.
4. Click New.
5. In the Name field of the Create New User page enter the name of the user.
User names are case sensitive and must be unique. Do not use commas, tabs or any other characters in the following comma-separated list:
< >, #, |, &, ?, ( ), { }
6. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description. The description might be the user's full name.
7. In the Provider drop-down list, select the Authentication provider for the user.
If multiple WebLogic Authentication providers are configured in the security realm, they will appear in the list. Select which WebLogic Authentication provider’s database should store information for the new user.
8. In the Password field, enter a password for the user.
The minimum password length for a user defined in the WebLogic Authentication provider is 8 characters. Do not use the username/password combination weblogic/weblogic in production.
9. Re-enter the password for the user in the Confirm Password field.
10. Click OK to save your changes.
The user name appears in the User table.
11. Next add this new user to the "cisuser" group in Web Logic, as the user won't be able to logon without being in the group.

Problem in creating new/changing paragraph format in sapscript

i am developing new sapscript form
based on standard sapscript : SD_PICK_SINGLE .
The problem is that I neither can't create new paragraph format in se71
for this form nor change an exist paragrapf format .
does anyone encountered such a problem
and can help me solve it ?

Hi,
     You have copied the Standard Sapscript, but i think you have not converted the Original Language "DE", as the standard one will be in "DE", so it is not allowing you to create new paragraph format or any changes.
      Open the copied Zform in DE language, Click on Menu> Utilities> Convert original language,
      Give From = DE
              To    = EN
Save and Open the Same Zform in EN language and do any modification.

Have problems to create lagacy data (AS91) with asset that purchase in 2010

Dear All Experts,
I have some problems when I try to create lagacy data via AS91 but it's not allow me to post acquisition value and accumulate depreciation into asset that have capitalize date on this year (30.09.2010)   Could anyone please tell me Did I do anything wrong in config ?or Should I change the year in capitalize date to the past and then takeover value after that edit capitalize date again by AS02.

I agree with colleagues:
If you make a legacy data transfer during the year you can't enter   kum. values. You have to press the button transactions and enter here the transactions from previous system.

I've always been a little confused about the none fom of payment. Sometimes you see that choice seems like other times you don't. This Apple support site describes all acceptable forms of payment.

Have problem on creating pdf from web page

When acrobat finished downloading of that web page to start creating pdf file, acrobat.exe take more and more memory, eventually the whole physical memory and OS prompt memory inefficient warning.
the web page is only 900+K,
url is http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-1-20041028/ ( I use the only one layer configuration)
but url: http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-0-20041028/ is turn out to be fine, which is 300+K
it seems when the web pages is more than some hundreds of KB, then the acrobat went insane and took all the memory out there.
Please fix the bug asap!
PS: I use acrobat pro 9.4.1

Adobe only provides security fixes for all versions. With Acrobat X out, you will see any bug fixes. I don't have the problem you are seeing on 9.4.1 on the Mac nor on Acrobat X under Windows. I no longer have Acrobat 9.4.1 on my Windows machine, so I cannot check. Perhaps someone else can. Methinks you are seeing something else going one. Perhaps something is interfering with the pdf creation. What OS do you have? Maybe it has something to do with virus/spam software on your computer. Can you turn this off for testing purposes?

Problem while creating self-registered users

we are creating a self registered users. When the self registered users enters the data it has to go for the line manager approval.
We have an entity adapter which is triggering after the manager approval. What the adapter will do is it triggers an end date for the user after the approval.
But its showing "DOBJ.error Create user" error after the approval.So we are not able to create the user

But still its throwing DOBJ error.
Any Clue...
At this moment i am not able to provide the logs.

Does anyone have problems with document icons changing?

This started happening in 10.4.10. I don't know if its application related or mac OS related.

If your icons have become the generic blank white paper with a folded corner, you may need to reset the LaunchServices database.
