Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

1. If by flurry of emails you mean they all appear opened as if clicked on.
2. Or do you mean your inbox fills up with a whole lot of 'new' unread emails downloaded from the server, so that if you delete them they return next time you open Mail.
If it is 1. Press (three keys) Option + Command + W
This will close all mail windows including the inbox.
Then press (two keys) Command + 1
to return the inbox.
That should stop any flurry next time you open Mail
If 2., Open Mail Preferences > Accounts (select the account in question if there is more than one), click on Advanced, and where it says remove copy from server after retrieving message, select that choice and click Remove now. -
I have problems closing my MAIL. The function of Quit is grayed out. I cannot turn off the computer because it says mail still open. I have had this problem off and on ever since getting a new hard drive and reloading all the functions. The only way I can clear it is to hold the power button down till it shuts off the computer, and then restart it.
Cant get help with this issue on Apple Support, so I have to go to the Apple store to the Genius Bar to get assistance. All the help issues are so technical in their jargon, that I cannot understand how to fix the issue.

I have a hotmail email address. I compose my mail useing MS outlook. when i send the mail to my contacts useing my macbook air,my contacts tell me there have not received the mail.
when i send the same message with my ipad or iphone no problem my contacts receive the mail.

Since we downloaded the latest version of iOS on our iPad and iPhone, and synchronized our music collection in the Cloud, we can no longer see on our iPad and iPhone the music from our CD's that we have on our home computer's iTunes library. We can only see music in the iPhone and iPad library that have been purchased on iTunes. How can we get all our music from our computer's iTunes librbary visible on the iPhone and iPad? My Ipad 2 was working fine, after syncronizing with iTunes the contacts App froze completely, in the Settings everything works fine but if you go to the mail settings the entitre settings freezes. I am usng Outlook but can't send mails. Any body has a solution?

Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.

I have a Galaxy S3 and love this phone but here at my new home which has absolutely no trees of bushes blocking anything, my phone calls are dropped ALL THE TIME and it's driving me crazy. Verizon finally said that they would come out and boost the signal but haven't seen anyone in two weeks. I have called Verizon tech help for one year to get help with this, either trade phone or something. I am so frustrated! I picked Verizon for the clear calls and coverage inside hospitals and buildings but it's been terrible. I have had three of these phones replaced. I need a different model like the S4 or the S5 I think cause it's something in this model.
Verizon is quickly becoming the worst cell phone company out there. To read all of these pleas from your loyal customers is just so sad and pitiful. You need to be sued for your data overage charges that you are intentionally imploding on your customers. They have pleaded, very intelligently, with you to do something to fix the issue and you willingly have NOT. As is with my reception issue that I was promised a signal booster for two months ago, so is this issue with the data. You don't follow up and solve the issues. Therefore the courts will find you fraudulent. When I was promised by your super tech that I needed a signal booster and he was sending it out overnight at no charge to me, I was relieved that it would finally be taken care of so I wouldn't lose faith with Verizon. Well, that was two months ago now with no record of it ever being ordered or on my file anywhere. I have since called three more times with hours of conversations about that issue and two more techs have told me they were sending me a signal booster with no follow up what so ever. WOW! That's pitiful! You may not care now, oh but you will later when you lose lots of money and business.

I have recently updated the new apps via creative cloud now photoshop and bridge no longer work, they open then say they have encountered a problem and close, I also tried opening the old version of photo shop but getting the same result
What OS version? What's the exact error? Exactly when does the error occur? What previous versions? What is on the screen when the error displays? Does Photoshop get fully open?

I was using my wife's MacAir while my Macbook was in for repairs and now all of my printers want to do through her Macbook Air and unless it is on and on our home wireless, I can't print. Is there an easy "fix" for this?

Just noticed that when I close my mail app by double clicking the home button and swiping up it dies something weird. After doing this when I open my mail, instead of showing all my mailboxes it automatically opens one of them instead. Anyone know why?
Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. How do I sync iTunes on our home computer to my laptop?
I have a Windows 7 laptop and just installed iTunes to it today. Our home computer uses the iCloud and I've set up my laptop to use it too. Is there anyway to get the music from the home computer to my laptop's iTunes? Thank you!
Copy the music and other media from the old computer to the new computer.
Installing iTunes does not cause anything to magically appear on the computer. -

after updating my ipad some of the apps aren't usable. They are "greyed out" and it says "waiting..." below the app when I tap on it.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer..)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings -

i got a new iphone and all they could transfer was my contacts. they said if i go on my computer i can get all my pictuers and music back only if i recently plugged in my privious iphone to itunes, which i did two days earlier. they said it shhoulod be backed up on itunes. how do i get my pictures and music back? helppppp!
Sync the content to the device the same way you always have.
Or maybe it would be a good idea to read the manual and understand the proper way (according to Apple) to use the device.
