Web Access Has "Stopped"

I have a simple home G5 setup -- Road Runner cable access going through simple router. Seems that after the last OSX update my web access began deteriorating. Time Warner replaced the cable modem but it hasn't helped. Today it takes several minutes to access a web page or a new link -- often the request times out and I can't connect at all. Get the "Can't open the page" message. This is true with all major browsers -- sometimes Eudora can't retrieve email either.
I've read every post relating to this or similar issues and have tried trashing various prefs, making sure no Proxies are checked, etc., all to no avail.
This started about 10 days ago and has deteriorated to barely being able to connect to the Internet at all (it took many tries even to get to this support forum).
Can anyone help? Thanks for any advice.

My thanks to you and BDAqua for help with this issue, now resolved. I got educated on the OpenDNS system and now understand the use of those two DNS Server numbers in my Network control panel. I also was able, with the help of the OpenDNS web site and D-Link tech support, to get my router reconfigured using the OpenDNS numbers, and my web access has never been faster.
All that's left is to wonder why my DNS resolution got messed up in the first place. It appears to me that Time Warner's (Road Runner) system of providing dynamic DNS resolution is "bad" -- nowhere as fast as the OpenDNS system.
Anyway, for other Road Runner customers who read this thread and want to try to OpenDNS server IP addresses in your Network preferences panel, go to opendns.com -- very simple, clear web site explaining how to configure your Network panel and a wide variety of routers.

Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!

Satellite T130: inbuilt web camera has stopped working

Hi, I have the same problem of the question bellow, like I have looked around and I was not able to find the answer I need.
I have a Satellite T130 and, suddenly, the inbuilt web camera has stopped working properly. A blue light is on, but there is no image. What can I do?

the blue light is beside the web cam, on the top of screen. But this light is on when I try to use the web cam in anywhere, like Skype, Msn or even in programs in the computer that only take a pictue or make a video of you, without ineternet (I do not know the name of this program). But it seems that computer and the programs recognize the web cam, because there is no messages when I turn on the web cam.
In Skype settings is the same, there is nothing wrong, there is no different message. The only thing is when I try to take picture a message appears: "failed", but the video seems to record normally, although everythng is black.
Could you understand what I meant?

"safari web browser has stopped working" ... help?

So a number of months ago (5, I believe) Safari Web Browser crashed and I tried opening it and a message popped up that said:

+A problem caused the problem to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.+
Now up until the crash, I was extremely satisfied with Safari and it was my default internet browser. After I kept seeing this message when trying to start Safari, I decided to uninstall it and reinstall it, then tried repairing it several times. It kept showing the same message for a while so I decided to give up for a few months, so I tried again and the same thing happened. Once again I gave up and today I tried again when I updated my iTunes and that same message popped up and Safari didn't work.
So I decided to post here to see if someone can help me figure out and fix the problem since I prefer that browser to most and never had any problems with it until I froze it and it crashed that number of months ago.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Vista, but in XP the Safari preferences etc. are stored in this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\Application Data\Apple Computer\Safari\
If you know where the equivalent Vista location is, rename the Safari directory to be Safari_backup and then retry launching the application to see if one of the files in there is corrupt and causing Safari to crash.
If it does work after doing that, try moving the files one by one back from the Safari_backup directory to the newly created Safari directory, restarting Safari each time, until you find the problematic one.

I had a similar issue. Have been trying various ways to include images in Outlook Web Mail and had an issue with one particular user only. All other users were OK. The issue reproduced on a different lap top with the same account so I assumed was somehow
saved back to Exchange server.

Where someone said opening web mail in Mozilla Firefox and deleteing both the signature and out of office assistant text fields which contained html code that was breaking the functionality in IE. After replacing with the word blank and saving, the problem
was resolved.

Webkit 2 web process has stopped working

every time i open a page in safari this page pops up saying webkit 2 web process has stopped working and then the page restarts.any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Uninstall Safari and reinstall:
Safari 5.1.7 for Windows - Support - Apple
If this doesn't work, I suggest migrating to a different browser given that: Farewell Windows Safari, as Apple excludes its homegrown browser ...

Familybase usage reporting on Verizon web site has stopped working

I've been a Verizon customer since 1993, and as I work in the technology field consider myself adept at using electronic devices and services.
I set up and have been using family locator and familybase for about a month. I set up time and data usage windows, trusted and blocked telephone numbers, and everything worked well. The family base web site showed me usage by time period, top apps and time used. Everything was working fine till last Sunday afternoon when the Verizon web site started giving me a message that the service was unavailable.
I tried logging in from a Mac with safari, a pc with IE and with chrome, my iPhone and from an android tablet with the same result- the service is unavailable, try back later. I satisfied myself it was not the device or browser I was using to access the web page as the error was platform independent.
i next restarted the child device after confirming the companion app was installed and "self identifying" that it was installed and running. No change. I then reinstalled the companion app from the Google play store, and it again appeared to be installed correctly. The services associated with familybase appeared to be running on the android device. Still, no service available on the vzw web site.
I'm at my wits end. I've done everyone I've found in these forums to troubleshoot this, and the service continues to be unavailable. I know we're only talking 4.99 a month but it's starting to be annoying that something has stopped for no apparent reason and now won't work.

aNHguy, I want to make sure that you are able to use FamilyBase. I appreciate all the steps you have taken to troubleshoot this. When you are on your My Verizon account, do features still show FamilyBase under your current features? You mentioned that you have been using the service for a month so I want to ensure that after the one month free trial expired that the feature remained on your account.

Anyone else have outlook web access suddenly stop working on iphone 5

After working fine for over a year I suddenly can not access my work email server via the Outlook Web Access. I've spoken to 3 different Apple Care reps over the past week, reset network settings, updated to 7.0.4, etc. but nothing helped so they told me to contact Microsoft. But before I try that unappealing avenue I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this over the past couple weeks and if any remedies can be offered?
I can access my work email from my iMac, iPad, and even my Windows laptop (gasp!) so it's not a problem with my work's server. Something is going on with my iPhone 5 (which is nearly brand new since I exchanged it in Sept. due to a hardware defect).

Worked on the first 30 seconds and then no acess over 3G or wi-fi. Safari was blank and opening and closing by himself.

Why do I keep getting web2kit has stopped working and then get kicked out of facebook?

Try deleting cookies in Preferences > Security
Then empty the cache. Quit and relaunch Safari.

Help, My web app has stopped working.

Hey guys, I got my N95 thru orange and i've had it for nearly two weeks now. The phone is great and until now I've had no trouble.
I've been using the inbuilt web app to access Orange world (Oranges mobile site, football, tv, etc etc) and all of a sudden it's stopped working.
I have contacted Orange and they have sent me a configuration message with the wap settings and they have also talked me through setting them up manually but it still hasn't worked. I also didn't think it was the settings that were at fault in the first place but they still talk you through it all anyway.
What happens is when I click onto the web app, the menu disappears as though the phone is about to launch into the web app itself and then straight away it returns to the phone menu. It doesn't even attempt to connect to any service at all. Just straight back to the menu.
I think maybe the app itself might be missing.
Can anyone help me out

if u have been using it ok up til now then it cant be settings problems, have u tried switching off the handset and removing the battery for a while if not then its a trip to a nokia service centre or u can set the handset back to factory settings yourself on the standby screen type *#7370# enter the lock code (default 12345) then fone will re start back to factory settings, be warned, back everything up if u can because u will loose everything!

Built in web cam has stopped working - Satellite A200

The built in webcam on my Satellite A200 stopped working yesterday and I dont know why. I have not installed any new software recently but it is not recognized when I use Skype or any other program. When trying to use the camera, an error tells me no camera is recognized or it is switched off.
I have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled several times but it has not helped.
Please, does anybody have any ideas? (OS Vista).

Sorry but it is not easy to say what is wrong there. I recommend you to roll back OS to earlier time using system restore tool. I am pretty sure you will be able to use cam again.
I have cam on P200 and use it with Skype without any problems. I really hopr you will be able to solve this.

In the last few days the OneNote web app has stopped working, no diagnostic info, just does nothing.

I have a M/S OneNote public file on SkyDrive. I can no longer access this from my PC, the OneNote web app appears not to work any longer. It worked fine for weeks. There is no diagnostic information, it just hangs. I can access the file from my iPad.

I can access the file from M/S internet explorer on my PC.. So it looks like some problem between Firefox and the OneNote web app. The problem was there on FF25 it is still there on FF26

In save for web & devices, you alter the size, and select size, but it doesn't change it. It used to work okay.
The only option I have is to change the image size under usual image size.

Icloud via web access has trouble saving notes

When I log into icloud from a chrome browser on pc, when I go to update a note, 99% of the time, after my changes, and when I go to update the note in the cloud, it comes back with an error "Could not save note. Please try again later" - although it does save the note in a new note with the same name, thereby creating an orphan record, that continues to try and update. ie, one note is completed with the updates, and one note continues to show the spinning wheel of update - a total of 2 notes (and sometimes many more) with the same name.
Only ports 80 / 443 are required through the firewall, right?
This only happens from a work pc. I have full access to ports 80/443.
