Web console, "Connection to R/3 Broken"

Hello all,
I've installed Web Console on IIS, Win2k3 server, and I'm unable to connect to my ERP system.
The message displayed reads, "connection to r/3 broken" in plain text.
I've seen a couple of threads here and there, but none post a resolution.
Some background:
I'm reasonably sure I've included everything, I need to. I've allowed ALL Unknown ISAPI Extensions, made an entry for my system.
Also, it seems note 910901is no longer in service.  Let's see if Klaus posts about that note

Well, I put in the resolution for one of my systems in the post directly above yours.
The entry was missing in the SAP Login Pad on the host.  I have a 2nd server set up identical to the first, and this did not resolve the error there.
Seems theres a couple of common fixes.
1) Make sure you are allowing all api extensions on the host
=>Start=>programs=>IIS Administrator=>allow all extensions
2) Make sure your sap gateway parameters are set high enough to allow all traffice.  The default is 200. If you're experiencing sporadic problems, this might be it.  Often, in other threads like this, people have mentioned that rebooting fixes their issues.  This would fix it w/o having to reboot.
3) Make sure the SAPGUI is populated with all the systems you're attempting to connect with >on the host<.
That's all I have I'm afraid.

  • Web Console broken

    Hi All,
I did something stupid and hope that the forum can help me to reverse out.
I was trying to create space on the Server drive and uninstalled JAVA ( I supsequently found and deleted the culprit files and removed them instead). I also installed IR16 at the same time and now I have no web console. Everything else seems to be working OK, but Apache web server service will not start (I assume because JAVA was uninstalled).
So where to from here. Do I assume that a re-install of JAVA will solve this and if so what version is required ? or is it possible to re-install the web console module on its own?
    Thanks in anticipation

seems to be the same problem as outlined in this post:

    Thanks

  • Problem in Oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0 Web Console

    Hi,
I did OIM Upgradation from OIM 9.0.3.1 to 9.1.0.
    The Upgradation is completed.
In upgraded version(OIM910)of Web Console,i have some new options in Resource Management and Deployment Management.
When i click those options,it shows "Page cannot Found" error.
Can u please tell me,where this pages will exists or do i need some other customizations to get these things.
Please help me to resolve it.
    Thanks,
    Saranya.

Well what is the error which you get while doing Trusted Recon. If its some connection error then confirm that you have required connection jar files placed in the ThirdParty folder of OIM.
I am not very sure but I thing these would be the jar files required:
    Oracle 8i - classes12.jar
    Oracle 10g - ojdbc.jar
so make sure you have right jar files.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • OIM 11G- Web Console- Problem with "Export Deployment Manager File"

    Experts,
I am using gogle chrome browser on oim11g setup.
I was able to Import/Export the objects using Import/Export Deployment Manager File.
The reason why I opted for chrome is that I was unable to connect to login to the web console, it was just asking for userid and password and after some time, the browser(Internet Explorer 7) hangs on.
And with FireFox 5.0.1, it is the same thing both import and export deployment manager file windows opens as soon as I click and they just close after 2-3 seconds.
The problem now is after updating the java to "Version 6 Update 26 ", the Export Deployment Manager File stopped working. The window pop-ups and closes in 2 seconds.
But Import Deployment Manager File is working fine with out any problems.
The pop - up blocker is not enabled.
And I am sure that it was working fine earlier with chrome before the java update. When I remove the updated java version, chrome is asking to download the latest java version.
Any suggestions, that helps to work with chrome or firefox or IE?

    Venu,
I have never had any luck getting anything after Version 6 update 23 to export properly. I would remove your updated Java and restore to a previous version of Java.

  • Problem in launching sunMC 4.0 Web console

Does anybody have problem in launching sunMC 4.0 web console from a browser?
I have installed sunMC 4.0 on a Solaris 10 upgrade server.
When I type the URL of the sunMC 4.0 server with the default port 8080 I gets the welcome page giving me two options:
    - Launch Web Console
    href='https://172.17.210.96:6789/'>Launch Web Console
    - Launch Java Console
None of the options works for me.
Clicking on "Launch Web Console" ends with error page saying "Unable to Connect". Get the same error regardless of browser: Firefox or IE.
Clicking on "Launch Java Console" gives me "Unable to launch Sun Management Center"
When clicking on "Details" button I gets
An error occurred while launching/running the application.
    Title: Sun Management Center
    Vendor: Sun Microsystems, Inc.
    Category: Download Error
Unable to load resource: http://172.17.35.18:8080/smconsole.jnlpA find on the server reveals that smconsole.jnlp is installed on /opt/SUNWsymon/web/console/smconsole.jnlp
I have no problem in launching the console using via script /opt/SUNWsymon/sbin/es-start -c

    IT WORKED!
External access to Java Web Console was restored.
Ports 6788 and 6789 are no longer restricted to localhost.
I can browse sunMC 4.0 Web console from any workstation and/or host now.

Is this procedure documented in any of sunMC manuals?
If not then it should. At minimum, on the release notes.
    THANK YOU!

  • Problems with Solaris Web Console on Solaris 10 x86

    I recently installed Solaris 10 x86 (10/08 release) on a Sun x4450.
I have installed the Jan 14, 2009 patch cluster.
I was having some problems connecting to the Web Console to do some ZFS administration. That's when I installed the patch cluster.
After the patch cluster install I couldn't connect at all. This problem was resolved here: http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5249136
Now when I login to the Web Console I get a message that says:
"+No application is registered with this Sun Java(TM) Web Console, or you have no rights to use any applications that are registered. See your system administrator for assistance.+"
I'm logging in as root, so it shouldn't be a rights issue.

  • Cannot access SPE2000 web console

    Hi,
I was able to access the web console before but all of the sudden last week when we tried to login to do some configuration it didn't recognize it.  I tried default login and still failed.  So, I did factory reset of the switch and couldn't find the IP.  I use 'FastResolver' to find the MAC address of the device and it didn't find it.  I did some research and they mention to use 192.168.100.20  that failed.  I even tried scanning for 192.168.1.x, 192.168.2.x, and 192.168.3.x and 192.168.15.x.  But didn't find the device.  Then I did again without any router or uplink connected and even assigned static IP on the laptop.  We have 2 other switches of exact same make and model with same exact issue.  We also have encounter similar issue in the past so not sure if anyone have come across this issue.  Plus I need help on accessing the switch so we can put back same configuration we had before.
    Thank You,
    Ankur

    Hello,
I'm really sorry you are having issues with these devices.
Now, these switches are a little on the older side, and I'm not sure they will request for a DHCP address, so maybe that's why you cannot find it as they are not getting an address on the network.
What I will recommend is to unplug the switch from the network just to be sure, then factory reset it, connect a PC directly to it and assign a static IP address of 192.168.1.100 to it, then open a web browser and try to access the interface of the switch by going to 192.168.1.254.
    I hope this helps.

  • Questions about web console

    1. how many web console server I can place in one management group?
    2. if a web console server is on serverA.company.com, can I configure the server so that users can connect to the web console at
    http://scom2012r2.company.com/OperationsManager instead of
    http://serverA.company.com/OperationsManager ?
    3. if it is possible to have more than one web console server in one management group can we set up load balancing among them, and how?
    thanks in advance

    1. I don't think there is necessarily a set limit.  You can have more than one web console server in an environment, there is nothing stopping you from having many.
    2. Yes, just create a DNS alias for your server with your desired name
    3. Microsoft network load balancing is not supported for the web console.  If there is an option, it would have t be through a 3rd party hardware load balancer, but I'm not sure it would even work.

To configure permissions inheritance for the web console
In Windows Explorer, navigate to the MonitoringView folder in the installation directory for the web console (by default, C:\Program Files\System Center 2012\Operations Manager\WebConsole\MonitoringView), right-click the TempImages folder, and click Properties.
On the Security tab, click Advanced.
On the Permissions tab, click Change Permissions.
Select the Include inheritable permissions from this object’s parent checkbox.
In Permission entries, click Administrators, and then click Remove. Repeat for the SYSTEM entry, and then click OK.
Click OK to close Advanced Security Settings for TempImages, and then click OK to close TempImages Properties.

  • IDX LDAP web-console and sso framework

For anyone that is intersted, or is doing a fair amount of development work with directory servers... I have finally finished a product that allows anyone to connect to Active Directory and OS X Open Directory servers via web console and integrate external applications very quickly.
    http://www.authentisoft.com/products/idx/
The product runs on just about any J2EE server or database.

    Hello,
this should be asked on one from
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home as the problem belongs to programming and not working within the forums where this page is for.
    Thank you for understanding.

  • Unable to update Mobile Application in web console

    Hi,
I am just wondering any body experianced the same issue.
    version :Mobile engine 2.1
Issue : After creating MSD using MEREP_MSD_APPLICATION  I am unable to edit the mobile application in web console.
Error Message in Web console :
Data for this entry is not complete or not correct.
This entry therefore cannot be changed or deleted
Can you please update is there any work around to get rid if this problem
    Regards
    Murali

It's normal. The documentation says it - the automaticaly created application entry is broken. What you have to do is the following:
    1) Delete the broken entry
    2) Manually create it again, with THE SAME data you have put in the MEREP_MSD_APPLICATION. Whit the creation you upload the complete .WAR file.
Everything should be ok after this procedure.
    Enjoy!

  • Java Web Console starts in "user local mode" after Sol 10 Patches

After applying Solaris 10 recommended patch cluster, the web console on my SPARC platform starts the web console such that only the local host clients can connect via web (https://localhost:6789/). Webconsole log file states "the console instance "console" is starting in local user mode. Prior to applying the patch cluster, the log file stated "the console instance "console" is starting in user mode." How do I get it to start in regular user mode?
Patch cluster is dated: 24-Apr-2009. I am running Version 3.1 of the webconsole. Using the webconsole primarily for adminsistration of Sun Java Directory Server 6.3.1 using the DSCC.

Thank you for the response. Prior to implementing your recommended fix, I discovered the following Example in the man pages for smcwebserver:
Example 3 Using SMF Property to Allow Remote Access
The following sequence of commands allows remote access to the Sun Web Console server.
    # svccfg -s svc:/system/webconsole \
    setprop options/tcp_listen = true
    # svcadm refresh svc:/system/webconsole
Executing the above commands restored full webconsole access.
