Web DynPro DC build path error
Hi,
This is the first time i'm working in WDP DC, as i had been using WDP Project previously. After i created the WDP DC, it didnt load the neccessary jar files (shld need more than 10, i think) automatically as in WDP Project. Is there a quick way to add those jar files to Java Build Path, as i don want to add one by one.
Hi Raj/All,
I have a few questions regarding WDP DC development:
1. Can you list the jar files/directory to be added?
2. Can i deployed and run WDP DC as if it is a standalone WDP application? If not, how to run and view it?
3. After i was done with the development, when i tried to create archive (after rebuild), the following exception was shown:
org.eclipse.core.internal.resources.ResourceException: Resource /LocalDevelopmentmatcodesap.com/gen/default/deploy already exists.
How to solve it?

Error Web Dynpro Archive Builder
Hi All,
New Local Web DYnpro project
I am getting error as soon as I try to > Deploy new archive and run.
An internal error has occurred
Plugin name : Web Dynpro Archive Builder
Plugin ID : com.sap.ide.webdynpro.archivebuilder
Class: : com.sap.ide.webdynpro.archivebuilder.PARService
Method : getArchiveNameFromDCProject(IDCProject)
Message : Could not get name for DC project
Exception : java.lang.Exception: Could not get name for DC project
Thanks in advance
RahulRahul,
Have you tried to rebuild the project and repair it?
Did you edit the project file and changed the project name? This error normally occurs if you have created a project with some name and then changed the project name.

Web Dynpro application callable object error: Page Builder Not available
Hi, SDN Fellow.
I created a callable object of Web Dynpro application. The callable object is atatched to an Action, and Action --> Block, and Block --> Process.
I initiate the process in GP Runtime, when it comes to the Action screen the Web Dynpro application atatched to, I got the following error:
The page builder required to display this application UI inside the portal environment is not available.
As aa comparison, another callable object that atatched to a Web Dynpro component (that implement GP interface) is working fine.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance,
KCHi KC,
When you start your process from GP Runtime, does the actual action/callable object open in a new window?
Have a look at this SAP Note:
[Error when executing a GP task - Page builder|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_gp/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d393831353137%7d]
Although the error message you are getting is different, but if your callable object opens in a new window, then the problem (in most probability) is the same as mentioned in the SAP Note.
Also, try testing the Web Dynpro callable object in standalone mode. For more information on this, see:
[Testing Callable Objects|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/4c/588041a17e060de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]

This isnt a web dynpro error. This is an error regarding the java installtion of your machine. I guess there is a mis match between the JDK and the JRE verions installed. Kindly uninstall the jre and jdk and freshly install jdk 1.4.2_10 and let me know what happens.

Java Build Path Errors in WD with NWDI
Hi,
i'm connected to a NWDI and imported a development configuration with a SC from there.
When I create a new DC (type: Web Dynpro) within this SC, I receive a lot of errors that classes could not be resolved.
In the projects properties, I can see that the Java Build Path has "JRE_LIB" added only. In local WD-projects (without any NWDI) there are a lot more Libraries added.
I guess, this is the problem.
Now the question is: How can I convince my project to use more libraries in its Build Path?
in the used SC I've added initially the following dependencies according to a tutorial:
DI BUILD TOOL 7.00
SAP J2EE ENGINE 7.00
SAP JAVA TECH SERVICES 7.00
then, after receiving theses errors, I've added additionally (I guessed them):
WEB DYNPRO APPLICATIONS 7.00
WEB DYNPRO RUNTIME 7.00
still the same...
additional information: after cretaing the DC, I also receive the following warning/error:
<i>Development Component Creation completed with some problems.
Reason:
Some used DCs are not available locally.
You have to sync used DCs for this project.</i>
kr, achimafter copy&paste the missing entries from a .classpath-file of a local project to my NWDI-based projects .classpath file, the build errors are gone.
but how to do that automatically?
and still errors occur in the develop-config perspective:
<i>ERROR: failed to resolve reference "sap.com/tc/..." for DC "....":Cannot find compartment of used component: sap.com:tc/wdp/metamodel/content</i>
kr, achim -
I created a new Java project in Eclipse from an existing folder. I am getting errors like -
Unbound classpath variable: 'JRE_LIB_CORE' in project 'RFT'
Unbound classpath variable: 'JRE_LIB_GRAPHICS' in project 'RFT'
Unbound classpath variable: 'JRE_LIB_SERVER' in project 'RFT'
Unbound classpath variable: 'RATIONAL_FT_LIB' in project 'RFT' (I am using Rational Functional Tester API)
I tried removing these entries from Project Properties -> Java Build Path -> Libraries, and as a replacement, added JRE System Library. When I save these settings, the errors do not go away. And when I check project properties again, all my changes have been reverted back - the variables I had removed are back.
Can someone help?
ThanksBest I can suggest is that that is entirely an eclispe problem.
So at a minimum it should be phrased that way (subject) and an eclipse forum would be the best place to ask. -
Problems by sharing Web Dynpro Project in SVN or CVS Repository
Hi,
I am trying to share a Web Dynpro Project with an 3rd-Party Repository like SVN or CVS instad of DTR.

But as soon as I am sharing the project in an repository (equal if I am using SVN or CVS),
I am getting the following error during deploy process:

Edited by: Jens Geissler on Apr 27, 2009 9:35 AMHi Jens,
I think the other repositories (apart from SAP's own DTR, part of NWDI) are not supported as in base CE 7.1 release & support may be in higher CE release versions.
I feel if they are supported, then it is a bug and you can get things clarified by raising an OSS message.
Hope this info helps you.

RagavanHi,
Add additional info including the ST22 dump for security you can run find and replace in the st22 dump text and relplace ahost name and sid.
Also when do you get this dump exactly i.e. what are you doing or how are you accessing the webdynpro for the error to be generated.
What is your system patch and kernel levels.
Please provide more information otherwise this is just a guessing game.

Problem in calling XI generated Web Service via Java Web Dynpro
Hi experts,
I have problems with calling a web service, which was created by XI. I have already tested the web service with Altova XMLSpy. The Web Service works fine.
But when embedding this web service into Java Web dynpro application no message flow is given. I have two views one Selection View and one Result View which should show the answer sent by RFC-Call.
<b>My Settings in NWDS:</b>
During configuration of web dynpro I have choosen 'Import adaptive Web Service Model' --> Select wsdl file via local file system --> 'no logical destinations - use WSDL URL for metadata retrieval and web service execution'.
The model is also not shown in diagram view although I have added into the diagram.
The web service was created on XI 7.0.
Should I do any other settings e.g. in Visual Administrator, Web Dynpro Content Administrator?
So can anybody help me.
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
MarioHi Aviad,
thanks for your fast reply.
But in Web Service Navigator my Web Service is not shown, because I used the SOAP Adapter.
<b>My Web Service link:</b>
http://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:SRV_GBD_WS_GET_DEB_DETAIL:CC_GBD_WEBSERVICE_SENDER&version=3.0&Sender.Service=&Interface=%5E*
During executing Web Dynpro I got following errors:
1. 'The system cannot find the path specified'.
2. com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.exception.WSModelRuntimeException: Exception on creation of service metadata for WSDL URL

Translating Web Dynpro Standard Components texts ?
Hello
I am testing NWDW 7.0 SP3 and i want to make a Web application in my own language (Serbian, Serbo - Croatian).
I have found a lot of documentation about creating international Web Dynpro applications where developers can translate their own texts and messages, but i am interested in translating standard texts and messages in Web Dynpro components (Like months, errors in validation, etc.). How can i create my own MessageBundle.properties file for NW app server 7.0 and use it for my language, or maybe use some other translations and change only messages that i want in that translation?Hi,
The Internationalization Service of the Web Dynpro Runtime Services supports this PropertyResourceBundle concept and allows easy access to the classes java.util.ResourceBundle and java.text.format. With the class com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.localization.api.WDResourceHandler, you can read the language-specific text elements using the following source code:
// Load the resource bundle u201CMyResourceBundle.propertiesu201D located
// in the package u201Ccom.sap.testu201D for locale set in the resource handler.
// Therefore, the resource handler also needs the classloader that has
// the package u201Ccom.sap.testu201D in its scope
resourceHandler.loadResourceBundle(u201Ccom.sap.test.MyResourceBundleu201D, this.getClass() );
// get the message of the u201Cpress saveu201D button
String saveMessage = resourceHandler.getString( u201Cpress_saveu201D );
Example of a Properties File
A properties file contains simple name/value pairs for a specific language ID, as the following example of a properties file ResourceTest.properties (generated automatically by the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio) shows:
Resource bundle for Test
message pool
message.error1 = Runtime error
message.warning1 = You have to re-deploy your application!
view TestViewInternationalization
view.TestViewInternationalization.DefaultTextView.text = Hello World!

External facing Web Dynpro - Java or ABAP
We are planning a external facing web site delivering dealer information from SAP backend. We would like to use Web Dynpro to build the site since that give us easy access to SAP data. But we are not sure if Web Dynpro is suited for such use.
Can anyone share their experience on delivering Web Dynpro application, Java or ABAP, to external facing web site? Is it required to also have a external facing portal to authenticate users? Can we apply the external facing portal scenario when delivering web dynpro iView?
Thanks
BenHi Ben Liang ,
You can simulate the requirement both in webdynpro java and webdynpro abap. For botht he case an external facing portal to authenticate users is required

Eclipse build path entry is missing
Hello, I have just installed Eclipse 3.3 on Ubuntu. When I click on File...New...Java Project, and name my project, the project appears on the left with a small red box indicating an error. The two errors indicated are:
"The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved"
"Unbound classpath container: "Default System Library in project "Test""
When I right click on the project and on properties, there is another error:
"Build path entry is missing: org.eclipse.jdt.launching.JRE_CONTAINER"
I tried to click on "Properties..."add library", and add the JRE system library, but when I click next the window does not move to the next screen. Anyone know how I can create a new project without these errors. Thanks.Do you have any JRE libraries configured? I think Eclipse detects one by default.
You could try posting this on a Eclipse forum where you are likely to get a better response sooner. -
Trouble with running form on web through form builder
Can anyone help me? I have research every document, talked with metalink and have checked everything. I cannot find the problem.
While running form on web through form builder, receive error FRM-92100 Connection to server was interrupted. I have checked details and receive java exception java.lang.ArrayIndexOutofBoundsException:256. Not sure this means anything but adding it just in case.
I am running Forms 6i, version 6.0.8.20.1 Loaded forms from CD which did not include the WEBDB listener, so loaded listener seperately. Loaded database version 8.1.7 with apache server.
Information in my httpd.conf file shows servername myserver.domain, port 80 and listen 80.
Information in my formsweb.cgf file shows serverport 9000 connectmode:socket
What else should I check? What is set wrong? All services up and running.
Can anyone help?Toni,
try the following
from the orant/bin directory type the following
ifweb60 <modulename> <userid>
make sure that the Forms module to start is in the Forms60_Path and can be found.
If all works well then this should start teh Appletviewer showing the Forms you request
to run.
Hope that I am not misunderstanding you and you are looking for starting Forms from the Forms developer by clicking on the preview button in the toolbar. If you are looking for Web deploying Forms applications, requesting it from a Browser, then the configuration is different.
