Web Frame different then Developer's Frame

Hi,
On my system I have 9iDS installed. I have a form with a frame. The frame's line color is darkmagenta and the width is set to 2. This works fine on my system. When I run the form on the 9iAS box - the frame is a tiny black line.
Any suggestions where to look for this behavior?

Hi,
I run the exact same form on the 9iAS(rel 2 patchset 2) box and my system(9iDS 9.0.2.7.0)
Problem is on my system the form will return 153 records to view.
On the 9iAS box only 29 records are there. Can not scroll down or arrow down.
I am thinking this is a memory/cache issue.
Any suggestions?

Play video in frame 1 then go to frame 2 on complete

I am very new to Flash and especially ActionScript... I just
want a video which is in frame 1 (I imported an avi which was then
encoded and has a skin) to play and at the end of the video simply
go to the next frame (or a new video, whatever is easiest) which
will have a "Play Again" or "Buy DVD" buttons.
I found the following code from another forum but I do not
know how to use it. The playback component is "FLVPlayback" which
is what is listed but it looks like "myListener" needs to be
changed as it is black (not blue in the code). Do I create a
"Listener"? And how?

The server that I am using is the Yahoo server that handles
my personal website. I just upload the files to a 'test' folder,
and test them of course, before delivering them to a client. Here

When I open the html directly, from the c:\\ I have no
problem at all. When I open it via http, the problem arises. Making
the MIME type explicity known to the server is a concept I'm not
familiar with, and I have this little feeling that this may be the
culprit.
I just embedded the audio in the timeline becuase its a
pretty small MP3. The flv itself is stopping completely! Otherwise,
the checkTime function would see the 15 sec point and start the
fade into the logo. This has worked for me well in the past. Was I
just lucky until now? Thanks for taking time to give me a hand. I

Hi Melissa - thanks for your interest. Here's the first frame, the second frame and the tween frame. I don't understand why the tween is changing the position of the object in frame 2, was expecting it to just fade from one frame to the next.

Clicks on horizontal frame display menus on vertical frame

Hello everybody,
I'm redesigning my web site using Flash CS3 & AS3, and
I'd like to simulate the behavior of my old HTML web site:
I had a top horizontal frame containing 4 main menus: works,
resources, about, etc...
After clicking on, for example "works", a set of sub-menus
would appear in the left vertical frame, showing "3d graphics",
"web design", etc.
I already built the horizontal menu in Flash.
For now, my idea is to convert the 4 groups of vertical
sub-menus into 4 movie clips symbols, and set their opacity (alpha)
to 0.
Then, some scripts on the horizontal frame's main menus would
set the opacity of the relevant sub-menu to 100%.
But before I go on, I am wondering if this is the best way to
do it? Do Flash designer have a more commonly used way of doing
this?

save the text in a variable and use that variable in your other frame:

Drop-Frame vs. Non-Drop-Frame Capture question

Hi,
I'm using Final Cut Pro 5 capturing 16:9 anamorphic video and removing an advanced 24 frame pulldown from my Canon XL-2. This is for a documentary for which I have captured over 30 full tapes of footage. I've been logging in the clips FIRST, then going back and batch capturing everything afterwards.
My question is this: I have logged everything the same way with seemingly all the same settings. However, when I capture some tapes I get the warning that I'm capturing Non-Drop frame media to a Drop-Frame clip and it could cause problems in the future with relinking. Then some tapes don't give me that message at all. Is there something I'm not noticing about how I log some tapes but not others? Would it have to do with the presets I have Final Cut set to when I'm capturing a tape? I'm fairly positive I've always setup FCP to the proper capture settings before logging anything...but could something else be causing this? Thanks for your help.

The thing to watch out for, both in logging and in capturing, is when you log or capture multiple tapes with mixed NDF & DF timecode.
There are three or four things that can affect this:
FCP5 and later allow you to set the TC format of the capture preset, such that the Log & Capture window would default to NDF if you are working with NDF tapes.
Otherwise, Log & Capture will still auto-detect during playback when logging, but you have to be sure to play the tape some before logging the clip. If you capture multiple tapes using capture now, You could easily start recording before the time code format updates. This kind of error results in a clip whose in point is the correct "number", but the format is wrong.
During Batch Capture, the device control is not always able to change the time code format. I'm not sure about FCP6, but I am in the habit of grouping my clips in batches according to the TC format. You ma be seeing this alert because you are switching the TC format of the tapes in the batch capture, but device control is "stuck" in DF mode, for instance. This is not an issue during logging, only capture.
I think it may also be possible to override the clip's logged TC format at capture by unchecking "use logged clip settings".
Capturing clips with the wrong TC format can really mess up recapture later. The offset that happens as the format gets converted back increases as the starting hour of the timecode gets bigger.
So basically you can have clips that get logged wrong, and clips that were logged correctly, but captured with the wrong TC. It's easier to miss it when logging, since there's no alert message to pop up. But the other alert is there to tell you there is a mismatch somewhere, preventing you from making the second kind of error. Your only error may only be that you had both DF and NDF clips in the same batch.
There is a trick to get the TC format to switch to the non-default for batch capture - Open Log & Capture and play the tape until you see the TC format update. Now start the batch capture with Log & Capture still open - device control will stay in that TC format now. Otherwise, I think device control switches to the format of the first clip in the batch, but stays there until you cancel and start a new batch.

How to set the HOME link from two frame jsp page to no frame main page?

i have one main jsp page named as main.jsp.
From the main.jsp, i can click the button and link to the twoFrame.jsp.
This twoFrame.jsp have another two different jsp inside the frame called Aframe.jsp and Bframe.jsp.
i try to put HOME in the Aframe.jsp(one of the page inside twoFrame.jsp) but only the Aframe.jsp manage to link to main.jsp but the Bframe still there.
My question is: How to set the HOME link button from this twoFrame.jsp to the main.jsp? what i want is from twoFrame.jsp(two frame) to main.jsp(no frame).

But as a more specific answer, you have to set a target for the link to the _parent of your frame:

How to insert, merge linked text frames into existing long linked frame story?

I have a book with a single story, many linked frames/pages. The index takes 4 pages in the last part of the book, but not the final pages. I have regenerated the index and it is 4 pages of linked frames in a separate story in extra pages I generated at the end of the book. I selected the new index pages from the pages panel and moved them to the proper location in the book. I want to delete the old index & pages, but that still leaves me with two stories with the main story frames jumping around the index story frames. I want the index to be part of the main story so that if the text expands the index will move.
In short, insert and merge a story and its associated text frames in the middle of another story.
My move pages approach got it in the right location, but it will not float if the page count changes.
The only way I can see to do this is go back to my new index, select it all in the story editor, copy it, go to story editor on the original story, and paste in the proper location. This works, but it seems as if there should be a way of also doing it with frames, in ports, out ports, etc.

I must be unclear on the concept. I moved my new index into the existing story between the two desired pages. This shows the original story on the left with the text threads going around the inserted Index story:
Now I click the outport of the text frame on the left and alt click into the Index frame. That overwrites the contents of Index.
Not what I want. I actually want to split the text as well, and just thread thru the index frames and then continue with the original story. I did the above as a test case. For my actual problem, copying the index story in story mode, and pasting it over the appropriate text in the original story solved my problem.

WA signature different then QWin client

Never had this problem will last update to GW 8.0.2
Now my users complain that the WA signature is different then the one they setup in a client
I see same reported few years back, but did not think it would happen again...
What is the solution to have the the same?

Publishing web from different computers, help needed

Wanna work on my web from different Macs, so I followed the guide line to copy out the "domain" file from my company's machine then move it home. After working with my Mac at home, I tried to publish it to Mobileme.
But I found counter I put on the front page isn't working anymore, so does anyone here knows how to solve it?

Also, test your site to ensure that the files are being uploaded. Try selecting ftp to a folder option in iWeb instead of ftp to MobileMe and open your site on your desktop to see if the hit counter shows up there.

In the Timeline, go to the first frame and press M to put a marker on it. Go to the other frame you want to jump to and put a marker on that one too.
Now press Ctrl+Semicolon to go to the previous marker - or Ctrl+Comma to go to the next marker.
