Web logic siebel jms messaging

Hi,
We are trying to implement jms messaging to transfer data from siebel to an external database...using the following architecture:
1. create jms queue (web logic web server)
2. use EAI JMS transport business service in siebel to send data to this queue.
issues : We have a local installation of web logic on which I created a queue in the default jms server.
I have done all the necessart setup in siebel side like - creating a new named subsystem - JAVA and mentioning the path of the siebel.jar and siebel_enu.jar file.
I have passed the queue name as one of the parameter to the JMS transport Business service. I am unable to locate the jndi.properties file that siebel would use for lookup.
The business service is failing on call.....Pleass help...If required I can provide the code i am using......and the setup details .....

Siddharth

Hi,

Adobe support, and any other supervisors. I really hope you're monitoring these forums.
Because the Adobe employees on these forums are clueless about the architecture/implementation of
your Flex and Flash builder products. StackOverflow is much, much better.
I had one Adobe employee respond to one of my questions by saying that my code
    worked fine on his/her machine.
Well. BFD. What does that mean me. Nothing.
In short. Why do you even support these forums. They are useless.
I have found the answers to my questions by hard work looking through poorly written code.
However. I'm not going to publish the code on your forums.
That is what youre employees should be doing.
It seems you have taken the MS approach to software development. Publish junk, and let the users
do your debug work for you.
It really sad. As. I remember Adobe as being a software company that produced top quality software. However.
Your FB4, Flex 4, and BlazeDS  products are definitely.  JUNK.
Looks like that whole offshore development thing isn't working out as expected.
Or. Maybe it is. Maybe that is your strategy. Extort developers into purchasing support.
After all I'm aware of who the Adobe CEO is.

  • Distributed destination issue on Web Logic server 8.1

    Hi,
I'm using distributed JMS destination (Cluster) of Web Logic server 8.1.
I'm using Oracle B2B to talk to the cluster. Oracle B2B is only creating a consumer on one of the managed servers in this cluster. This is resulting in loss of messages when messages are placed by the WLI on the other managed server.
Further the consumers are created randomly by Oracle B2B.
My question here is whether Web Logic Server 8.1 supports multiple consumers for its clusters?
    Please Help!
    Thanks in advance.
    Warm Regards,
    Suhas.

Are your consumers co-located with each managed server or remote?
Let me preface this by this is the way I believe it works...
The reason I ask is that distributed destinations route to one managed server at connect time. So for producers, when 1 message is placed on a distributed destination, it is really routed to only 1 managed server queue. From a remote consumer standpoint, when connecting to a distributed destination to read messages, you are only routed to one of the managed server queues to read from, not the logical superset of all queues in the distributed destination. So you would need to connect to each distributed destination member queue directly to ensure each had consumers. Whereas if your consumers are co-located on the cluster, then they can each connect to the local member queue for that distributed destination and ensure that each member of the distributed destination has consumers.
I'd recommend you note the follow docs:
    QueueReceivers
    http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/jms/dds.html
When creating a queue receiver, if the supplied queue is a distributed queue, then a single physical queue member is chosen for the receiver at creation time. The created QueueReceiver is pinned to that queue member until the queue receiver loses its access to the queue member. At that point, the consumer will receive a JMSException, as follows:
If the queue receiver is synchronous, then the exception is returned to the user directly.
If the queue receiver is asynchronous, then the exception is delivered inside of a ConsumerClosedException that is delivered to the ExceptionListener defined for the consumer session, if any.
Upon receiving such an exception, an application can close its queue receiver and recreate it. If any other queue members are available within the distributed queue, then the creation will succeed and the new queue receiver will be pinned to one of those queue members. If no other queue member is available, then the application won’t be able to recreate the queue receiver and will have to try again later.
Note:      For information on the load-balancing heuristics for distributed queues with zero consumers, see “Configuring Distributed Destination Resources”.
    http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/jms_admin/advance_config.html#jms_distributed_destination_config
The producer makes such a decision each time it sends a message. However, there is no compromise of ordering guarantees between a consumer and producer, because consumers are load balanced once, and are then pinned to a single destination member.

  • Web Logic 10.3.6 (64bit) - Could not load the sitemesh filter and library

Installed Web Logic 10.3.3 (32bit) and Java JDK 1.6.0_21 (32bit) in a customer's server (Windows Server 2008 R2 and 64-bit Operating System). The web page can be displayed with header and side menu.
However installed Web Logic 10.3.6 (64bit) and Java JDK 1.6.0_31 (64bit) on that same server. I am suspecting if it has to do anything with the native libraries being loaded JAVA_LIB_PATH.
Please review the server log file again for identifying differences in LIB_PATH or PATH or any messages saying "Unable to load native.. performance pack.."

    Hi Rahul,
Server logs may contain JDK warnings such as the following if the jdk folder is an mklink.
*[WARN ][osal ] Could not add counter (null)\ for query*
*[WARN ][osal ] Failed to init virtual size counter.*
These are just warnings and do not affect any servers.
    Workaround
To suppress these warnings, add the following line in the FRAMEWORK_LOCATION\provisioning\provisioning-plan\fusionapps_start_params.properties file
    -Xverbose:osal=error
You can even try the solution provided in below link

  • Problem while deploying application in web logic

    Hi,
i have an web application with servlets running fine in tomcat 5.1.12, but when i copy the same foldet to web logic and i run i gives an error, i create a domain of my name, and i kept the folder in weblogic, user _projects--> applications folder, but while accessing from the browser i got an error. so please rectify my error.
    Babji..

I don't use web logic so I can't help you. But if you post whatever error message you are referring to into your thread, someone who uses web logic might have a better idea as to how to respond. Additionally I suspect there may be some differences in the configuration settings between Tomcat and web logic, you might look into that. But I have no idea.

  • Web logic error when trying to log in.

Hi, I am a DBA, not knowledge on WEbe logic. I created and JDBC, and it is connecting to the database, but when I try to access the page I got the following message>
com.bykoncept.nustapi.NustApiException: While trying to lookup 'NuConcert.Portal' didn't find subcontext 'NuConcert' Resolved
Please let me know how can I fix this problem.
    Thanks.

If you dont have APPS access on database, even you should not be allowed to make changes using Jdeveloper. Now Jdeveloper is used to create forms and business objects which would either query or update the tables. Not having access/grants would restrict you from doing anything in Jdeveloper (no query, no updates etc). This is one of the reasons, I think, due to which Jdeveloper doesn't allow to function without APPS user.

  • JMS messages stuck in queue in weblogic v923 cluster

    Hi all,
    Enviornment details:
In our pre-production weblogic v923 cluster enviornment with Oracle 10g database, there are 10 server boxes with 2 managed nodes running on each server box in linux enviornment.
There are 3 JMS queues and 1 error queue per managed node.
All the queues are durable and the persitence store is a database table. There is a single database table per single managed node.
High loads of JMS messages from client applications coming on each of the 3 JMS queue are processed by the cluster on daily basis.
The JMS messages that failed to be processed the very first time due to the application logic exceptions are put on error queue since the retry is set to zero on the non-error queue.
The application exceptions are logged to a database table for futher reference.
The falied messages from the error queue are read by spring based MDP and resent to the application for reprocessing.
If no application exceptions, the message will be persisted in a relational database; in the case of failures, MDP code puts the failed message back on to the error queue.
The auto_ack is true on the JMS message.
It is observed about less than 1% of the messages fail the original processing and are in error queue on daily basis.
99.9% of the time, the reprocessing of the messages from the error queue is a success.
Currently due to some obvious reasons, the system administrator stops a managed node when the disk is full and start a different managed node on the same server box. This approach will be stopped in the very near future so that all nodes on all servers are running at any point of time by making few enviornment changes.
    Problem:
1a) Occasionally, it is observed that 1 - 4 JMS messages are stuck in the error queue. There are no signs of reprocessing as there are no application exceptions or the corresponing insert into the database. The JMS persistence store table still has the JMS message.
1b) It is observed that over time, the same JMS messages that were originally stuck on server 1's managed node A are no longer there but are found in a different node (say node B) on a different server box.
As far as I understand the JMS, a message could be in a Pending state if MDP (in my case) does not automatically send ACKNOWLEGMENT back due to an issue in the Spring Defaultlisternercontainer before calling MDP's onMessage(). I am not sure as what happens to that status over time).
It is also observed that the stuck messages content is not much different than the other messages that are processed fine.
    Any pointers/input is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your valuable input and time.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of two reasons why a message might move from node to node:
    (A) An application is dequeueing them and enquening them elsewhere.
    (B) The application is using distributed queues, and the distributed queue has been configured to enable "queue forwarding". The forwarding feature automatically moves messages from distributed queue members that have no consumers to members that do have consumers. Queue forwarding is sometimes enabled as a work-around to better enable MDP support of WL distributed destinations, unlike WebLogic MDBs, MDPs have no container logic to ensure that all members of a distributed destination are serviced by a consumer under all circumstances...

  • How to send JMS Message from a BPM Process

    Hi All
I have small query regarding sending JMS Message from a bpm process. Is it possible to send JMS message from one bpm process to another bpm process.
I have a scenario in which I need to send a JMS message to a queue where another process is listening on that queue and as soon as the message is received on the queue the process instance is created.
I know how to listen for the JMS message on the queue, but I don't how to send a JMS message from a process.
Also Can I create process by sending the Notification to the process instead of a JMS message. But the process to be created is not a subprocess i.e. Can notification be send accross different processes.
Any information or example in this regard would be helpful.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Here's one approach to sending JMS messages from an Oracle BPM process. If you're doing this just to send a message into another process, do not take this approach. It's far easier and quicker if you do this using the OOTB "send notification" logic.
These steps describe how to do this using WebLogic. The steps would be different if you're using another ap server / JMS provider.
    1. Guessing you've already done this, but first expose the two required WebLogic jar files for JMS messaging as Java components in the External Resources. The two files for WebLogic are weblogic.jar and wljmsclient.jar” (located in the < WebLogic home directory > /weblogic/server/lib” directory).
AquaLogic BPM JMS Queue Listener for WebLogic 8.1
    2. You've probably already done this, but add an External Resource to represent the J2EE container:
    • Name: “weblogicJ2EE” - this is important and will be used in the next step
    • Supported Type: “GENERIC_J2EE”
    • Initial Context Factory: “weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory”
    • URL: “t3://localhost:7001”
    • Principal: and Credentials: whatever userid and password you defined to access theWebLogic administrative console.
    3. Create the External Resource that represents the send queue configuration. In this example, I'm calling it “WebLogic Send Queue”. This is important - remember what you named it because you will use this name in the logic that sends the JMS message. This new External Resource is configured as:
    • J2EE: “weblogicJ2EE” (same name as the second External Resource you created)
    • Destination Type: “QUEUE”
    • Lookup Name: “weblogic.examples.jms.exampleQueue”
    • Connection Factory Lookup Name: “weblogic.examples.jms.QueueConnectionFactory”
    4. Here's the logic to send a Message to the Queue
    <pre class="jive-pre"><p />msg as String = "Hello World"
    jmsMsg as Fuego.Msg.JmsMessage
    msg = "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?><Msg>" + msg + "</Msg></xml>"
    jmsMsg = JmsMessage(type : JmsMessageType.TEXT)
    jmsMsg.textValue = msg
    sendMessage DynamicJMS
using configuration = "WebLogic Send Queue",
    message = jmsMsg</pre>
Note that the “sendMessage” method uses the configuration parameter “WebLogic Send Queue”. You previously created a JMS messaging service External Resource with this name in the third step.
Again, please don't go this route if you're just using it to send notifications between processes,
    Dan

  • JMS Message Property

    Hello Experts,
we have a JMS to JMS scenario. A third party system sends a message to the JMS Queue (JMS Provider is the J2EE SAP Web AS, XI system). Via JMS Message Selector (configured the JMS Sender Adapter) the right integrationprocess get the message. The integrationsprocess sends the message to another JMS Queue. Because the integrationprocess have lost the JMS Header information (message properties) we configured the JMS Sender Adapter and the JMS Receiver Adapter to copy message properties. Described under help.sap.com:
you want to set additional JMS message attributes, select Specify Additional JMS Message Properties (Maximum of 10).
    ·        In the table, enter the names of the JMS message properties whose values are to be included in the message header of the XI message.
The technical names of the additional attributes are DCJMSMessageProperty0, DCJMSMessageProperty1, ..., DCJMSMessageProperty9.
You can enter more than 10 properties in the table, but only the first 10 are taken into account.
The attribute namespace for the adapter is http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS.
I debug and saw that the message properties was sucessfully copied to the header (receiver queue). But now if I use another selector the message will not found. It doesn't work with a third party system and with SAP XI (I've created another integrationsprocess, to read the queue)
Thanks very much, for your help.
    Regards,
    Jürgen

    Hi there,
there is a way (and a section somewhere in the help) to set adapter specific attributes in java mappings.
The java doc for that can be found here:
    https://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/current/pi/index.html
Hope that helps sbd who also has that prob.
    Cheers,

I am new to this whole thing of SOA and web logic and trying to install SOA and web logic on my machine to learn SOA components.
Appreciate your inputs on the error i am at now.
I am trying to install SOA Suite 11.1.1.1 and in the process have installed web logic server as well.
    I am unable to start both the Bam_server and the SOA_SERVER and the error message, I get, when i try to start the server;

First of all, I think this is a wrong forum. You had better use WebLogic Application Server forum - WebLogic Server - Upgrade / Install / Environment / Migration
From the error: Address already in use: JVM_Bind one can guess that some config of your Node Manager is wrong.
Note that you don't necessarily need the Node Manager to start WebLogic apps - it is necessary only if you want to use the Weblogic Console.
