You should ask on a WebLogic forum (WebLogic is/was made by BEA, so I'm guessing that www.bea.com might be helpful), but I'm going to make the wild guess that you're invoking a JRE that's not the JRE that came with your WebLogic install, and that that's causing a problem for some reason.

    Hello,
I launch the installer for WLS like:
<JAVA_HOME>/bin/java -d64 -jar wls1032_generic.jarAnd installer launch fine, however, it feels somewhat slow, graphicly.
First step is to provide an middleware home, and on the next step, about configuration manager, where they want me to provide metalink account, it hangs after pressing next. It does not matter if i provide my e-mail or not.
It says; are you sure you would like to continue anyway, and one time again it ask me if im sure, and i press yes, and then on "next", nothing happends and all buttons are grey.
Im not sure how to investigate this. :)
    Any help is welcomed, thanks

    Hi,
As i know the only ways you have to get weblogic patchs are :
Connecting your server to the internet, juste for time you need to download your patch
    or
Use a server that is connecting to internet and having the same version of weblogic for witch you need the patch. After you have to move the patch from one machine to anouther using system commands
    Regards,
MouhssineYes, and thats really crappy. Ive provided Oracle Support with the BUG id number and they are gonna download the patches for me, but in my opinion i should be able to do this myself.
There must be alot of people that does not want to grant connection to Internet on their production servers, whats the use of a new, nice, good (as it seems) GUI that no one can use anyway? Having another web logic server just for downloading is also another aspect of the uselessness of Smart Update.

  • Starting integrated web logic server problem

    Hi,
I'm using JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.3) in Windows 7 (64bit), i tried to run an example project which is StoreFrontUI , but jdeveloper fails to complete the start weblogic with this message.
    The text in console is:
    *** Using port 7101 ***
    C:\Users\yusuf\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.3.37.56.60\DefaultDomain\bin\startWebLogic.cmd
[waiting for the server to complete its initialization...]
\Adobe\Adobe was unexpected at this time.
    Process exited.
    Can anyone help me?

    User,
Hopefully you are using a 32-bit JDK.
    The only time I've seen this error is when the WLS domain has been extended for Oracle Reports and there is a right-parenthesis character - ")" - in the path. Is either of these true for you? If so, try starting JDev from a command-line prompt where you have changed the parts of the path with the parenthesis in it to have double-quotes around them. Something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Teleca Shared";c:\windows;

Please make sure you include the version of the server that your using.
I the Security folks may have to resond to be sure, but I but I am guessing
it is 6.1 or 7.0 (we have improved this error message in 8.1), and that it
is because the security system is failing to decrypt an encrypted value in
the config.xml because something has changed where the seed file with domain
secret is not avalible. Did you recently move the domain/config.xml file
    around/locations?
Resolution? Not sure again the security experts will have to pipe up
(cc'ing their newsgroup), but try replacing encrypted values in config.xml
    with plain text passwords.
    Cheers

  • Logic starting problem

i have logic pro 7.2 installed protools le just to try.
after that my logic does not starting...icon is jumping for a second and stops..no logic
can anyone suggest me what to do
i reinstalled logic but it didn't helped..
    thanx

    Hi,
Let me see if I get your post:
You installed ProTools LE and now Logic won't open?
What version of PT LE did you install? And what audio hardware do you have?
What version of Mac Os are you on?
What version of Digi Core Audio driver/audio driver do you have?
In other words, can you give me more details on your setup?
Simply stating that you installed software and now Logic does not work...is too vague to be able to know what went wrong.
    Cheers

  • How to start coherence server using node manager of remote web-logic server

We want to manage our coherence servers using web-logic. Our requirement is as such we want to keep single web-logic Admin Server and add all other node-manager to the same web-logic Admin Server.
Now when we create machine on node 1 (on which Admin Server is running) and add node manager of other server it is not responding and shows status as inactive.
    Status: Inactive

Looking at the log files it gives below info

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on Linux 64 Web Logic fails to start

I have installed 11.1.1.5 on RHEL 5.4 64-bit and everything was running on first install. I brought down services and now when I try and start WebLogic, I get no failure and can start services but the EM and WebLogic URL's fail to load, but am able to load Answers and login. When I look at the log I referenced something about enabling HTTP Tunneling. Does this need to be done on the server itself or through Web Logic? When I start Web Logic it says HTTP Tunneling enables = false and know it is disabled by default. Any feedback is appreciated.

This is the error I get when trying to use the stopWebLogic.sh to stop WebLogic:

  • Starting Web Logic Server  - Unrecognized option: -jrockit

    Hi,
Im getting the error "Unrecognized option: -jrockit" when I try to start the Web Logic Server as is showed below:
    D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\bin>startWebLogic.cmd
    * To start WebLogic Server, use a username and *
    * password assigned to an admin-level user. For *

    starting weblogic with Java version:
    Unrecognized option: -jrockit
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
    Starting WLS with line:
I already installed the JDK 7 64 (jdk-7u2-windows-x64) and use the generic file to install the Web Logic Server (wls1035_generic)
I got the files from here:
    JDK >> http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-7u2-download-1377129.html
    Web Logic >> http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html
    Any help I will appreciate.
    Thank You,
    Raul.

Note that you are using the HotSpot JDK. The option -jrockit is only valid if you are using JRockit.
When you open setDomainEnv.cmd you see something like:
    if "%JAVA_VENDOR%"=="Oracle" (
         set JAVA_HOME=%BEA_JAVA_HOME%
    ) else (
         if "%JAVA_VENDOR%"=="Sun" (
              set JAVA_HOME=%SUN_JAVA_HOME%
         ) else (
              set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle
              set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jrockit_160_29_D1.2.0-10
)which selects a certain JDK based on the set JAVA_VENDOR property.
You add the property JAVA_VENDOR above the first if statement, for example,
    set SUN_JAVA_HOME=
    set JAVA_VENDOR=Sun
if "%JAVA_VENDOR%"=="Oracle" (...)Also see if the SUN_JAVA_HOME property is set to the correct directory.

    hello colleagues,

Web service invocation problem on host hostname and port 8000 protocol : http logical port name : LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING
    Thanks

    OK, then pls follow below steps;
    - Go to step 'Create Users' in solman_setup System Preparation scenario and make sure the user SM_INTERN_WS has a green status. Use the 'Test Login' button to make sure the user is not locked and has correct credentials maintained in solman_setup
    - Immediately after checking the user status, navigate to Configure Connectivity->Enable Web Services and execute again the 'Create Logical Ports' automatic activity, in order to propagate the correct credentials to the Logical Port definitions.
    - If the above operation is not successful, repeat the two steps above, providing a different user Id in 'Create Users' step, eg SM_INTERN_W1. This will prevent situations where the user gets locked by Logical Ports using an obsolete password.
    Let me know the results.

    Vivek

First of all, I think this is a wrong forum. You had better use WebLogic Application Server forum - WebLogic Server - Upgrade / Install / Environment / Migration
From the error: Address already in use: JVM_Bind one can guess that some config of your Node Manager is wrong.
Note that you don't necessarily need the Node Manager to start WebLogic apps - it is necessary only if you want to use the Weblogic Console.

  • Start Web Logic 5.1 in a separate JVM

    Hi All.
Is there a way to start Web Logic 5.1 in a separate JVM from within a java class.
I am writing a service pack for a Web Logic application. During the service pack
uninstall, I have to stop web logic, delete the new files, restore old files and
    restart web logic.
For restarting, I am using a JNI call to invoke the web logic startup class. This
runs in its own java.exe process. But even after the uninstaller's java.exe quits,
the java.exe that is running web logic holds a lock on to the folder from where
    the uininstaller was launched.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Is there a solution to this issue?
Your help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks Jai

In your function that you call with JNI, before you launch the new WebLogic
process, you should set the current working directory to the WebLogic
directory and everything will work fine.
I have no explanation for why the directory remains locked.
