Web Module Project and Javascript file

Hi,
I have developep my Web Module Project. Now i want integrate in the project a javascript file and call it from a html
file or a servlet. How can I do it??? In which folder of the project I have to save the javascript file??? (ex. script.js)....There is a tool in NWDS to manipulate javascript file???
THANKS

Hi,
You can place the js file inside webcontetnt folder itself. If there are lots of files, then create a folder called JS and paste the file inside this folder. Then you can use this file from JSP like this.
< script language="JavaScript" src = 'script.js'>
or
< script language="JavaScript" src = 'JS\script.js'>
Generally, JS files can be opened using notepad or wordpad from NWDS. There is no specific tool for it. Hope that answers your query.

  • Importing WAR file into Web Module Project

    Hi,
I am brand new to SAP and i'm trying to help out with a proof of concept for our SAP rollout.  I am trying to import a J2EE application that currently runs on WebSphere 5.1 and was developed using WSAD.  I found a blog on the SAP site and it gave a simple run down of how to Migrate from WebSphere application server to SAP Application Server.
    Here is the link: /people/community.user/blog/2007/03/06/migrating-application-from-websphere-application-server-to-sap-was
The steps seem simple enough yet I am having issues trying to import my WAR file into my Web Module Project in Netweaver.
Step 4 gives the following instructions: Create a WEB Module Project and import the WAR file.
Unfortunately, they do not give more detail besides Import the WAR file.  When I try importing my WAR file, it adds the WAR file in my Web Content folder.  I was expecting it to extract all my java classes and my jsp files but this is not the case.  To do this, I right clicked on my Web Module Project while in the J2EE Explorer view and selected import file and selected my WAR.  I'm assuming this is not correct.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Phil

    Hi Phil!
You don't need to create previously a web module to import the war then.
I'm assuming you're using NWDS (Netweaver Developer Studio). Try this. In NWDS: File -> Import... ->
then, select "WAR file". After that, you need to inform the path of you WAR file and automatically it will fill in the name of your project, that you can change if you desire. After that, click in Finish and it's all.

  • Error in web module project

    hi all,
I am writting web module project where i am using servletand in that servlet i am using user data.
    so i included "com.sap.security.api.jar".
when i build this project it want give any error.
but i want to deploy this on portal so i created one enterprise application project then added above web project in project reference.
but if i know build this project i get error on line "import com.sap.security.api.jar"
and if i see in web module project that jar file was not there.
    please reply.
    thanks
    jayesh talreja

    Hi,
If you use the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio you can just use the "Organize Imports" option, this will add everything you need in your project automatically.
If not, you can choose the Build Path -> Add External Archives:
                              a.      Browse to the location of the sap.comtcjesecurity_apiimpl.jar. In the AS Java file system, you can find this library by following the path /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<XX>/j2ee/cluster/bin/interfaces/security_api.
                                b.      Select the JAR file and choose Open.
It shouldn't throw exceptions when you deploy your EAR project.
    Best regards,
    Ekaterina

  • Cant specify the Java Build Path in the Web Module Project

    hi,
I have a problem while specify  the project dependencies in the Web Module Project. While opening the properties of the web module project i cant choose the Java Build Path. The only two options i have are design root path and web service consistency check builder.Does anybody know why its like that?do i hav to reinstall the SAP developer studio?
    With regards,
    Jaisamma Varghese

    Hi Jaisamma,
I just tested this, and for me it works as expected, within all explorer/navigator views.
Before reinstalling NWDS, check if the project itself may have some problem. Just create a new clean web module project and right-click on the project and try to access the BuildPath properties now. If it works, try to set up your project content again within this new project. Otherwise reinstalling NWDS may help.
    Hope it helps

  • Error in running a URL for Web Module Project with a JSP

    Hi Experts,
I created a Web Module Project with name "WebModuleProject".
I created a jsp file naming "test_jsp" inside it
Then i created a Web Archive for it which resulted in a WebModuleProject.war file.
I then created an Enterprise Module Project with name "EnterpriseWebModule"
Then i linked the "WebModuleProject" whith this project.
I created an EAR for this project.
Deployed that EAR on to hte J2EE Engine.
Now on applying the following url:
    <a href="http://server:port/WebModuleProject/test_jsp.jsp">http://server:port/WebModuleProject/test_jsp.jsp</a>
i m getting the following error

Details: File [WebModuleProject/test_jsp.jsp] not found in application root of alias [/] of J2EE application [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples].
Please experts help me to dig out this problem
Can anybody suggest me why i m getting this error? And how to resolve it???????

  • Web module project import

    Hello friends,
is there anyone know, how can import a "web module project" to another NWDS?
    Regards,
    peter

    Hi,
Then it is a bit more complicated.
I think you have to create to create a java DC in which you unzip all files from the .jar file in the classes folder.
Then you need to define assembly on the DC and access this from your web application project.
This means that when you build the new Java DC it recreates the jar file you had earlier and this jar file is included into the build of the web application project. Not really an elegant way of doing it, but it mimics what SAP does with DC assembly dependencies.

  • JSP does not have visibility of java classes in simple Web Module Project

    Dear Experts
I am developing what I thought would be a very simple Web Module Project for a simple webservice
to allow a user to logon to Netweaver Portal with a simple logon and password.
I have not done this in over 8 years, and am somewhat rusty.
The webservice is package in  a .war and is deployed via an Enterprise Application project as a .ear.
The issue I am having is that I want to enhance the presentation of the webservice through the
provision of css and adding a couple of images. The "libraries" are visibile in the build path of web
    module project.
At the top of my .jsp for logon form I want to import some java libraries in order
to get String webpath = componentRequest.getWebResourcePath()"/":
    <%@ page session = "true"%>
    <%@ page import = "com.sapportals.portal.prt.resource.IResource" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.sapmimp.logon.SAPMLogonLogic" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.sapmimp.logon.SAPMLogonCertLogic" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.logonadmin.IAccessToLogic" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.logonadmin.ComponentAccessToLogic" %>
    <%  IAccessToLogic proxy = new ComponentAccessToLogic (componentRequest, aResponse, IAccessToLogic.ENV_LOGONCOMPONENT);
    final boolean inPortal = true;
    String webpath = componentRequest.getWebResourcePath()"/";
    // todo: find layout schema...
    aResponse.addResource(componentRequest.getResource(IResource.CSS, "css/main2.css"));
    %>
However, during runtime the libraries are unknown and I get the following SAPJ2 EE errors
indicating the methods etc are not known to the jsp:

Have you installed the 64-bit Access driver on your machine? See
Data Source Names and 64-Bit Operating Systems for the differences in odbcad32. Call %SystemRoot%\system32\odbcad32.exe to check the drivers.
How do you host your service? Stand-alone or IIS or embedded to another application? Keep in mind that IIS7 runs it in its application pool which is defaullt 64bit. Thus the bad image exception, when compiling your service as 32bit.
When you need the Access database for your service to store informtation, then I would switch to SQL Server (Express) or XML files depending on your actual needs.
Also check whether your account under which your service is run has the necessary NTFS file permissions on the access file and the folder. This is getting even more complex when it's a remote folder.

  • Web module project

    Hi,
i have created an Ejb project with 2 session beans in it. After that i have created the Web module project. In the build path, under projects tab, the ejb project is selected.
In Web module project --> web.xml -->  Ejbs Tab ---> EJB Local reference --> Add
When i tried to click Add button it gives the following message - "There are no web objects referenced to the web.xml deployment desciptor".
How do i add the Seesion beans in the Web module project?

    Hi,
If I got your question right, you must just open the web.xml editor within the NetWeaver Developer Studio. It should appear under your Web Module project. Locate the Others -> Tag-Libs tab within the editor and enter your taglib location, etc.
Refer to this page in the documentation if you need more info: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/08/0f0e4d1ffece4d8b9c5b84793aac50/frameset.htm

Where does time machine store content that would be found in the Finder window under "All Images, All Movies, All Documents"? Also, I have many Garageband projects and mp3 files I can't find.

Easiest way to find time machine files is to open up the folder or application(works for email and iphoto)  they were in - then click on time machine ICON or enter time machine from the time machine menu to go back through the files.

Kevin is suggesting that you store the projects you create while working through his book in a folder called RoboHelpProjects. It is not where you have to store every project you ever create. That is for the purposes of his book.
RoboHelp initially defaults to My RoboHelp Projects but it's up to you whether you do. Generally on the forums we advise against that as  it is part of your profile and can result in excessively long path names in a few cases. Generally where authors create file names that are so long they almost serve as the content.
Projects always have a root folder, call them Project 1 and Project 2 for this purpose. You can have those folders directly off your C drive (or other local partition) or within in a parent folder as above.
Now to what you can and cannot do. You can delete a whole project by selecting Project 1 or Project 2 in Windows Explorer. Obviously if you delete the parent folder you will delete all your projects within.
What you must not do is delete individual files within a project using Windows Explorer, for that you use RoboHelp's Project Manager. The exception is if you go to Tools > Reports there is a report Unused Files. Files listed there will have to be deleted using Windows Explorer for the very good reason they do not appear in Project Manager and, therefore, cannot be deleted that way.
If you think about it, it is similar to Word. There is no option to delete a document there other than using File > Open and right clicking. Not very intuitive.

  • Cannot read version 4 fcp project and associated files with the new 5.1.2

I cannot read my fcp 4 version projects and associated files with the new 5.1.2 fcp.
    Please help!

I bought the Final Cut 5 studio to use for my company but I have project files from version 4, which I would like to update. My G5 is running Tiger and Final Cut recognizes the old files as Final Cut Documents (the media is already on the G5) but will not open them or their associated quicktime files. I have no problem loading version4 to export the Masters but I would like to be able to upgrade the project files so that I can use them in my addition Studio Pro applications and touch them up in Shake. Also, I don't want to go and find FCP4 on the internet because it may have other problems.
    What do you suggest?
Can FCP4 files be updated to version 5.1.2?
Can I get a back dated version of FCP4 through Apple?
    Thanks for your time.

  • Does Web Module size and convert RAW images to jpeg?

I have never used the Web module before. It looks pretty straightforward but I have one question:
What about images? Does Lightroom take the original RAW images from the library that I've chosen to go into the web site and 'pare the down' or re-size them to be appropriate size for the web site and I assume it would also convert them to jpegs in sizes needed for preview and for thumbnails?
I assume that when you start the 'machinery' for Lightroom to build the web site that it will put all of the images needed as copies from the originals into a proper folder that can be then uploaded to the web?
    Thanks,
    Ken
PS: if I choose a flash template, which are pretty nice, does it also include the flash module so that people can run the flash presentation on their computers?

It will convert all images to jpegs, resize ... however you set it up ... and yes, it is so straightforward as it seems to be .
It makes no sense to upload RAW files to the web for public use in the first place. Second, LR does not touch/change the RAW files. Therefore, how would it be able to integrate your dev settings when using RAW on export?
You can add the ftp target in LR and it will upload directly to your web server.
If you choose Flash-based, people need to have the Adobe Flash player installed on their computer. The Flash player itself is not part of the LR setup. Most of people already have it installed and who doesnt will be asked to install it.

  • HT2128 I write webpages and JavaScript files. Can I stop being warned about my own pages when I try to open them?

Whenever I try to open one of the web pages or JavaScript files I have written, the TextEdit program and every browser will warn me that it was recently downloaded, and is dangerous to open.  It wasn't recently downloaded, I edited the document and saved it.  Can I get the system to recognize my files, and not warn me about them?  I don't mind being warned about other people's work -- it is comforting to know the system is watching out for me.
I recently upgraded to OS X Lion, and it happens since then.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these steps in order.
