Web server configuration failed with EPM 11.1.2.2 on Solaris 11

Hi,
When install & configured EPM 11.1.2.2, all components configuration success except web server configurations. In the
/export/epm/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/diagnostics/logs/
[ERROR][EPMCFG-07236][oracle.EPMCFG][SRC_CLASS: com.hyperion.cis.config.ant.apache2.OHS2configurator]/export/epm/Middleware/user_projects/epmsystem1/httpConfig/ohs/config/OHS/ohs_component/httpd.conf wasn't found. OHS wasnt configured successfully, see oraInventory logs for more details"
The /export/epm has around 1.1T free disk space, and it had been set WRX permission for the 'epm' user. Please advise what might cause the above issue?
Thanks,
Jenny

Hi,
The OHS installation was showed as "Complete" in the EPM installation. Yes, there was "/export/epm/Middleware/user_projects/epmsystem1/httpConfig" directory.
Under "/export/epm/oraInventory/logs", it generated 4 files as "intsall*.log", "install*.out", "installActions*.log", and
"installProfile*.log" when I'm trying to configure the web server again with cfgtool. The logs are pretty long, and I'm not sure if the bellow messages indicate space problem or not in the "install*.log"?

    Thanks!

You can't install Access Manager without full control on the base organization.
You need the Directory Manager user (maybe with a temporary password) or a user with full permissions on the Access Manager root DN.
    Hope It Helps

  • ColdFusion 9 Web Server Configuration Tool  problem

    I am using:
    ColdFusion 9.01

    Windows 2008 R2 Standard
When I try to use the Web Server Configuration Tool, I get the following message:   warning "connectors/nsapi/intel-win64/prebuilt/jrun_nsapi.dll".  Could it be an incompatability with the versions of software that I am using?  Has anyone successfully configured ColdFusion 9.01 with Oracle iPlanet Web Server 7.0.13?
I can't get past this message (see below).
The wsconfig.log file has the following:

I'm using  Solaris 10 SPARC, iPlanet 7.0.15, and I'm not going to use Apache!
Note: I made a slight modification to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64 reference in the startup script for iPlanet.
You have to do this to make the virtual server use the 64-bit libraries.
    vi /sun/webserver7/https-<config_name>/bin/startserv
    look for this line:
        LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64="${SERVER_LIB_PATH_64}:${SERVER_JVM_LIBPATH}:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64}"; export LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64
and change it to this line:
        LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64="${SERVER_LIB_PATH_64}:${SERVER_JVM_LIBPATH}:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64}:/us r/sfw/lib/sparcv9"; export LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64
I'm moving from CF8 ENT to CF9 ENT.
Here's the problem: iPlanet virtual server is configured for 64-bit operation; the connector in CF9 is 32-bit.
Question: What Program is Making this file ---> libjrun_nsapi.so ??
I'm assuming CF is creating it, so try to follow my logic here.....
    CF9 doesn't want to produce libjrun_nsapi.so in 64-bit mode.
    The file is located here:
    /opt/coldfusion9/runtime/lib/wsconfig/1/libjrun_nsapi.so
Instead it spits out a 32-bit file....
    # file libjrun_nsapi.so
libjrun_nsapi.so:       ELF 32-bit MSB dynamic lib SPARC32PLUS Version 1, V8+ Required, dynamically linked, not stripped, no debugging information avail
It's supposed to look something like this:
    # file libjrun_nsapi.so
libjrun_nsapi.so:       ELF 64-bit MSB dynamic lib SPARCV9 Version 1, dynamically linked, not stripped
I found out that when I use CF8, the installer asks for 64-bit configuration during install,
AND the initial startup makes the 64-bit connector.
In CF9...no such menu item; it doesn't mention 32/64 bit anything.
How do you force CF9 to produce a 64-bit libjrun_nsapi.so file?
    This creates the 32-bit file...
cf_root/runtime/bin/wsconfig -server coldfusion -ws sunone -dir /sun/webserver7/<config-name>/config -coldfusion -v
When I add -ws64 it breaks the script....
    cf_root/runtime/bin/wsconfig -server coldfusion -ws64 sunone -dir /sun/webserver7/<config-name>/config -coldfusion -v
How do you force CF9 to produce a 64-bit libjrun_nsapi.so file?
FYI:  I grabbed the libjrun_nsapi.so file from my CF8 ENT install, and used it in my CF9 ENT install.
No errors from the web server, but it's running dirt-slow now.
Could be the file because the libjrun_nsapi.so was created to connect with CF8, not CF9 !?
How do you force CF9 to produce a 64-bit libjrun_nsapi.so file?

  • Integration of Sun One Web Server 6.0 with Sun One App Server 7.0

Is it possible to integrate Sun One Web Server 6.0 with the Sun One App Server 7.0??
Sun One App Server 7.0 comes with the in-built HTTP listener. But we want to know if there is a way by which we can use the Sun One Web Server 6.0 with the App Server 7.0 and not the in-bulit HTTP listener?

As suggested by you, I have used Sun ONE Application Server 7's plugin to connect the Sun ONE Web Server 6.0 with Sun ONE Application Server 7 as per the information given in Sun ONE Application Server 7 Administrator's Guide.
I have added the plugin package to the webserver and added the following into the magnus.conf:
    Init fn="load-modules" shlib="C:/iPlanet/Servers/plugins/passthrough/passthrough.dll" funcs="init-passthrough,auth-passthrough,check-passthrough,service-passthrough" NativeThread="no"
    Init fn="init-passthrough"
    and to the obj.conf
    NameTrans fn="assign-name" from="(/A2P2Test|/A2P2Test/*)" name="passthrough"
    <Object name="passthrough">
    ObjectType fn="force-type" type="magnus-internal/passthrough"
    Service type="magnus-internal/passthrough" fn="service-passthrough" servers="http://<application server http listener>"
    Error reason="Bad Gateway" fn="send-error" uri="$docroot/badgateway.html"
    </Object>
The webserver starts up without any errors but never forwards any requests what might I be doing wrong?

I tried to install both the application on windows server 2003 and windows xp pro seperately one each at a time.
    but yet it fails
Are there any ideas links which will provide help to resolve this issue.
or how to configure the oracle http server

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition on Microsoft Windows 2008 (x86) is not yet certified but the status shows projected.

    2008 -10gR2- N/A- N/A- Projected -Yes- N/A- N/A- N/A
And similarly Oracle Application Server 10g not yet certified with Microsoft Windows 2008 and there is also so future projections or plans yet.

  • How to set up a FTP and web server and integrate with DMM 5.2

    Hi All ...
I need to set up a external server only for content publishing to reduce the overhead of the DMM server .
can anyone guide me on how to set up the external server and intergrate it with the DMM 5.2
    Thanks

    semuthu,
    Notes from the Release Notes:
Compatibility Limitations with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
DMPs that use firmware release 5.2 are compatible with only one version of Microsoft Internet Information Server.
That supported version is IIS 6.0 for Windows 2003 Enterprise. If you do not have the supported IIS version but
want your DMPs to retrieve assets from a webserver, we recommend that you use Apache instead of IIS.
I would suggest using Apache instead of IIS for the webserver service. IIS can be used as FTP if needed.
There are plenty of Documents on the Web about setting up Apache and FTP for servers.
    Using Apache with Microsoft Windows
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/platform/windows.html
Quick HOWTO : Ch20 : The Apache Web Server
    http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/wiki/index.php/Quick_HOWTO_:_Ch20_:_The_Apache_Web_Server
Once the Webserver is setup and operational. You simply store your media content on the Webserver
and then have your DMS assets in the media library use an external URL address for its location.
If you want to use external server for other features in the DMM, you can can see how to configure
    here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_1/dmm/user/guide/dsm+etv.html#wp1073210
Goto the section right below ACNS & WAAS..

  • Scheduled Web Intelligence report fails with ORA-01013 and WIS 10901

    Hi,
the environment I'm working in is BOXI R2 SP4 on a Solaris 10 server using WebLogic running against Oracle 9i database.
I have a report written by one of the users. In SQL Viewer the SQL detailed is two joined Select statements. Each time this report is either scheduled or refreshed is fails with an ORA-01012 and WIS 10901 error.
I am of the understanding that this failure relates to the fact that the 'Limit Execution Time To;'  value is being exceeded.
I also understand that this value is infact divided by the number of Select statements present, and that each Select statment is them allocated an equal portion of this value.
If any of this is incorrect please correct me.
    I therefore have two questions
    1. As such would I be correct in assuming that in my scenario where 2 Select statments are present and where the execution limit is set to 30 minutes, that each Select has 15 minutes to complete, and that if either fails the ORA-01012 and WIS 10901 error is generated.
    2. Also would this error message get generated as soon as the first failure occurred, or would BO initiate a cancellation of the SQL by Oracle, ORA-01012, only when the final request has either succeeded or failed.

The queries are not executed in parallel but in serial. So the total execution time configured will be for all the Select statements in the report combined.
As for your second question, since the execution is not parallel hence BO will not initiate any error message until the total execution time exceeds the defined limit. This could be during the execution of first select statement or the second.
Try executing the queries directly in database one by one and see how much time they are taking.

  • Calendar Server 7u2 fails with iOS 5

    Hello everybody.
Connecting to Oracle Calendar Server for CalDAV with an iPhone 4, updated to iOS 5, fails when loading the calendar. The iPhone can neither see the calendar, nor load tasks. The connection works fine with Thunderbird 7.0/Lightning.
The iPhone also complains that it can't validate the (definitely and double-checked) username and password, regardless of whether we use HTTP or HTTPS. Is there a configuration option or patch we can install?
    Thanks for the help,
    John

    arnaudq wrote:
    Try davadmin config -o service.dav.propfinddavheadervalue -v "1, 3, access-control, calendar-access, calendar-schedule, calendar-auto-schedule, addressbook, sync-collection, extended-mkcol, calendar-proxy, calendarserver-principal-property-search"
although the symptoms are usually different (but I never tried the upgrade account scenario myself).Thank you, this at least is part of the solution. I can now add the calendar account in the iPhone's settings app as it stopped complaining that it can't confirm the account. By the way, this is a fresh installation of version 7u2 and I added the account to the iPhone after importing the calendar from an .ics backup... if that helps :-).
However, even when setting the iPhone to sync "all events" instead of "the last month", only meeting invitations how up inside the CalDAV calendar in the Calendar app. To be clear: events that have been created by the same calendar account do not show up (neither past calendar entries, nor future entries).
Is there something else I can try?
    Thanks,
    John

  • Integrating Web server (eg Apache) with the application server

I am thinking a project in which I use more static HTML files than JSPs. One way is to use an Apache server to display those HTML files (it should be faster), and deploy the JSPs into the J2EE server; another way is just simple to change the web containers port to 80 (of the PE 8), and wrap all the files into a war file and deploy it into the application server.
So can someone advise my which way is better? And if I use the first one, Id like to know if it is the same way to integrate Apache with Tomcat.
    Thank you very much!

In the past there has been a belief that the Apache web server serves static content faster than tomcat. Site managers would configure apache to deliver static content and integrate a web container to handle the dynamic content. I believe this argument is losing steam as tomcat gets better. I guess the only way you will know for sure is to deploy your application in PE 8.0 and then in an apache/web container configuration and do some benchmarking. I have no such benchmark data to compare and I base my comments on what I have read in newsgroups over the past months. Personally, I would opt for the app server only setup just to ease configuration. Others may have a different opinion.

  • Instant Messaging Server configuration failed after installation

    Hi,
I have a problem with the configuration of Instant Messaging server as part Sun Java Communications Suite 6u2.
IM had been installed using commpkg install --altroot -installroot /opt/sun/comms2 (should run in cluster environment).
Running configure failed when looking for package SUNWiimin. Due to the altroot installation the package information resides under /opt/sun/comms2/var/sadm/...
Since configure is just a shell script those incorrect calls could be fixed (e.g. pkgparam -R /var/opt/sun/comms2 SUNWiimin instead of
    pkgparam SUNWiimin.
Unfortunately configure calls com.sun.im.config.core.Configurator as a Java program. In this program IM_BASE seems not tobe set which leads to:

  • Sun One Web Server 6.1 with MS Active Directory??

I know this type of question has been posted a few times, but I couldnt locate any clear answer.
Can we have Sun One WS 6.1 use MS Active Dir as its source of users and groups? I am trying to configure this using the standard base DN and bind DN params, but I get an error saying "could not connect using the binddn and password you provided". I know the bind dn and the password I provided are correct.
Another colleague of mine who tried the same thing was able to connect, but when he tried to navigate to the users and groups page, he got an error saying "Error trying to connect to the LDAP".
Anyone who has tried this before, what does it take to get the SUN ONE WS to talk to AD? Can this be done at all?
