Web service(developed in jdeveloper) deployedin Oracle is not detecting

I have developed a webservice using jdeveloper following the document (http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/jdev/obe1013jdev/10131/devdepandmanagingws/devdepandmanagingws.htm) deployed and ran in OC4J. But when I am trying to deploy it in oracle10g(10.1.3) its showing the error in browser

I would like to understand better your use case...
So you have some Tuxedo services, and (a) these services are exposed as Web Services ?
Or (b) you want to take tuxedo and expose them as WS from JDeveloper/OracleAS?
If Tuxedo can be exposed as WS (a) you can consume them directly as it is from Java using a WS client.
If you need to expose Tuxedo as WS (b), -if not possible our of the box- you should be able to use the Java API of Tuxedo (was called JOLT) and program you service from these class like any WS written in Java.

I am also having the same problem. Calling a web service inside JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 works fine. When I deploy to a jar file and include all Jars that the dependency analyzer identifies, the following error occurs:

.xml.soap.SOAPException: Unable to create SOAP Factory: Provider com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.ver1_1.SOAPFactory1_1Impl not found
Your work around defining Java system properties does work, but why do we need to do this using the Oracle SOAP stack?

Deploying a Web Service developed for WebSphere to Oracle App Server

I have an EAR file containing a web service (exposed as a servlet) that was developed using WebSphere Studio and originally deployed to a WebSphere application server. It should be J2EE 1.4 compliant. I now want to deploy it as a web service on Oracle Application Server.
Is it as simple as just deploying the EAR to OAS? Or do I need to (re-)assemble the EAR using the Web Service Assembler tool and then deploy it? What is the best practices approach for this scenario? My goal is to develop a web service that is deployable to both WebSphere and OAS with as little fuss as possible.

Invoke Web Service Proxy in JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0

Hello all,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 to develop an android native application. For this purpose I was required to invoke a web service proxy in the application. I did so, but after the invocation process is complete, I am getting some errors in the "BPELProcess1.java" saying that "java.util.List is not a generic type". I am unable to find the cause of the errors. Please help.

If so, are you using 'Web service client and proxy'? This is not supported in ADF Mobile.

Exception obtained when invoking a web service generated with JDeveloper

I tried to create a synchronous BPEL process that invokes synchronously a Java Web Service created with the JDeveloper. The web service is wrapped around a regular Java class. The new created BPEL process is successfully compiled and deployed on the server. But when I try to initiate a test instance of the process in the BPEL console, after I fill the input parameter for then process and push the "Post XML Message" button, I obtain the following error:
Your test request generated the following exception/fault:
BPEL Fault: {http://oracle.com/cde/util/Top300DAO.wsdl}org.apache.wsif.soap.fault{org.apache.wsif.soap.fault.object=java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect}
I looked at flow and it throws the exception when it tries to invokes the web service generated with JDeveloper.
Do you have any hints, ideas? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
I want to also say that the proxy settings for the BPEL server and designer are filled. I think that they are ok because I succeeded to start an instance of another process that calls synchronously an external Web Service.

My guess is that this is caused by the WSDL of your service having an invalid service address. Can you please take a look at the WSDL of your service make sure that the location of the address is valid? (we have seen a couple of instances in the past where the generated url did not have the right port information).
Update that WSDL, restart the BPEL server or from the BPEL console clear the WSDL cache and re-initiate your flow.

Web services Development

A general question for the group (sorry if this is off-topic, if there's a better
forum for this type of Q let me know).
I'm a web services and web app developer who is new to BEA. In the past I've used
toolkits like Axis for web services and I've always preferred this approach. It
seems to me that using BEA I can develop Web Services in one of two ways. The
'low-level' way where I could use the command line tools (or ant) to create, deploy
and manage the code, or I could use WLW and the nice attribute driven approach.
It strikes me (on first blush) that these techniques are not compatible, so if
I choose one I have to stick with that, and I shouldn't (can't) mix and match
the two.
As a relative newcomer to this community which one should I choose?
Which are people out there using?
Can the approaches me mixed?
What implications does using one or the other have in terms of deployment and
the type of WLS I have installed?
Again sorry if this is off topic, or an RTFM. If either of these is the case pointers
to the FM would be appreciated.

I think if you are looking for training in "BEA web services" then do
it the WLW way.
However, if you think your web service may be deployed to a non-BEA
app server, then pick up the standards.
This is true for regular web apps using struts vs. WLW's 'netui'
and JSR 162 vs. WLW Portals as well.

Is there any sample code showing PAPI-WS with VS 2008? AFAIK, there is a sample using VS 2005 and WSE 3.0, but I'm interested in using VS 2008/WCF.

I tried in both studio and Standalone.
From Studio :*
1. The Url for the Webservice is (http://localhost:8585/papiws/PapiWebServiceEndpoint?wsdl). From studio by default port number was 8585.From this studio wsdl URL(http://localhost:8585/papiws/PapiWebServiceEndpoint?wsdl),I did n't see any wsdl text in the browser.
From Standalone :*
1. In BPM Admin Center, I have selected *"PAPI Web Services"* check box(Page 5 of your document).
2. In The BPM Admin Center, I have clicked on *"Start BPM Web Applications"*.
3. After Stand alone server started *"Launch PAPI WebServices Console"* link was enabled,And I clicked on that link.It opened a browser with URL (http://localhost:8686/papiws/PapiWebService)

What do you mean update?
You can go into the source code and update whatever you want.
If you mean that the WS spec has changed - then you can either change the proxy manually, or create another proxy.

Multiple Web Services in one Jdeveloper project

Hi all,
I'm currently trying to implement a series of web services, all relating to one application. I'm using the top-down approach, where I generate the web service from a WSDL file, and add my implementation to the generated classes. The WSDL file imports all sorts of XML Schemas (xsd-files) and Jdeveloper correctly generates all the necessary java-classes for me. Lets call the first web service I create WS-1.
This all works fine and I'm a happy panda. I can call the web service, it works, I can modif the wsdl and regenerate the web service to e.g. change the input etc. All this works.
Just until the point where I want to create a second web service (lets call this WS-2). This new web service doesn't use all the XML Schemas that the first web service does, it is more simple with regards to in-/output. The problem arises when I modify WS-2 and Jdeveloper regenerates the Web service files (.java and the files in the WEB-INF/wsdl-directory). When I do this, it deletes the imported xsd-files that WS-1 uses (removes them from WEB-INF/wsdl).
And when I regenerate WS-1 to get my xsd-files in again, then when I regenerate WS-2 it imports all the unnecessary xsd-files into the wsdl for WS-2.
Something tells me, that there is a connection or shared library between all web services in one Jdeveloper project. That they all imports and uses the xsd-files in WEB-INF/wsdl.
Is this true? Can't I have multiple web services (and wsdl-files) using different types (schema definitions) in the the same Jdeveloper project?
One solution I can think of, is to have all my web services in different projects under the same application. But is this really necessary?
I'm using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.

pure from a coder instinct I think I would prefer them to be in separate projects for better reuse and clean separation. If I need project 1 to access aclass from Project 2, I can check the dependency check box in the project properties. Is there any business requirement that makes you think having all of these in a single project will help ?

Btw.: I agree that JDeveloper shouldn't constraint developers from doing what they want and if this is a limitation the feel free to file a bug

Java Web Services Developer Pack, where is jwsdp.home defined?

Hi.
I am trying out the Web Services Developer Pack, and so far so good, a really nice package of tools, tutorials and examples.
But there is one thing I do not understand regarding the Ant scripts for building the various examples.
In most of the scripts, the ${jwsdp.home} is used, but where is it defined? I have looked everywhere, and the only place where I have seen it defined, is in the server.xml file that is used by Tomcat. And it seems somewhat strange that Ant should be dependant on Tomcat on this particular issue, so surely that cannot be it.
It may seem like a unimportant question, but it is not, as I am purely beginning to use Ant, and need this information for when I'll begin writing my own scripts. Sure, I could just hardcode my app home path into the scripts, but that would be a ugly hack.

In the path c:\jwsdp-1.1\conf of my installation, the file server.xml includes this code:

Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.5 and SOAP?

Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out what, if any, support does Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.5 have for parsing and dealing with SOAP messages. I couldn't find any documentation or info in the tutorial about it, but founds some packages through JavaDoc that seem to deal with SOAP. Does anyone know what the deal is? Do you use this toolkit for SOAP, maybe even WS-security?

You can use JWSDP 1.3 but the minimum requirement form that toolkit is JDK 1.4. So you need to download the JDK 1.4 from http:/java.sun.com and install it first and after that you can install that JWSDP 1.3. Good Luck.

Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.3

Does anyone know how I can remove Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.3 manually from my system? I have tried using add/remove and the system does not allow to remove the application.

Does anyone know if I can use Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.3 with JDK 1.3.1? The installation instructions only mention JDK 1.4.

Java Web Services Developer Pack v1.2

I recently installed J2SE v1.4.2 Beta on my computer and it works fine with the platform, which is Windows XP Home Edition.
Now, I like to learn Java Servlet Technology and had searched through the downloads pages. I found Java Web Services Developer Pack v1.2. But I have doubt about this: Is there any problem to run Java Web Services Developer Pack on Windows XP HOME Edition? I learnt that Sun engineers had it tested on Windows XP Professional Edition.
I will appreciate any comments and opinions. Thanks in advance!
