WebAS J2EE server beind proxy

Hi
Since my WebAS J2EE server is behind a proxy, any application from within the server is not able to connect to the internet for ex: webdynpro application is not able to collect data from a webservice.
I've gone through previous posts but were not quite useful.
I tried applying parameters to the server0 java process
(-DproxyHost=xxxx -DproxyPort=xxxx) but it doesnt help.
Thanks in advance,
Rajit

Rajit - I am interested if you ever were able to resolve this or not.  We face similar problems.

  • ABAP Proxy to SOAP - Logon to Web Application Server Required

    Hello XI Experts,
I have set up an ABAP Proxy->SOAP example in my IDES system. Everything is working correctly.
However, when I execute the program which makes the call to the method "EXECUTE_SYNCHRONOUS", a popup appears asking me to enter logon details to the web application server.
Where do I set the logon information such that this popup no longer appears?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Nicholas !
    Check this thread:

  • Using Web-Dynpro Engine of a different J2EE server

    Hello Gurus,
Is it possible to use a web-dynpro engine of a different J2EE server from my portal i.e. I want to use a web-dynpro engine that is stored in some other J2EE server and not my portal J2EE server.
Is there any parameter in the Visual Administrator of my portal server through which I can direct it to use the Web-dynpro engine of a different J2EE server.
    Regards
    Deb
    [Points guranteed for helpful answers]

    Hello
If I unstedstand you correct, you can edit the J2EE server in the Developer Studio. Then you can publish your application on the new J2EE Server.
Press Window - Preferences - SAP J2EE Engine and change the Message Server Host and Message Server Port on the first choice "Please select an engine installed on remote host".
If you dont know the Message Server Port, open the url:
http://<portal server>:<port>/ and choose System Information
Log in with an Administrator and see the value under Message Server .
    Best Regards

  • Tomcat web context with j2ee server

    Hi everybody!
Can anyone tell me how to add a web context to tomcat when it is running with j2ee server, since it no longer reads the ./conf/server.xml file.
    Thank you.

    Hi!
Sun's J2sdkee1.3 is built on tomcat server. When tomcat is started up by j2sdkee it doesn't load (or ignores) the ./conf/server.xml file where should be defined the web context used by tomcat, like:
    <Context path="/examples" docBase="D:/path/to/examples"
    debug="0"
    reloadable="true"
    trusted="true" >
    </Context>
And I cannot find a way to add a context which has a different document base as the one defined in the ./config/web.properties
    thanks.

  • How to deploy my web module to J2EE server?

hi, i used forte CE to create my web module and its working perfectly when i run it through forte CE.
I've created a .war file for my web module through forte CE via the command Export WAR.
I've set up my J2EE server and its running cause i can go to its index page.
Now the problem, through the deployment tool that come with J2EE, I created a new application and add my .war into it. Next I tried to deploy my application .ear file. The deployment is successful.
But when I tried to access my application through the browser, I got this error messages:
    A Servlet Exception Has Occurred
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSPNote: sun.tools.javac.Main has been deprecated.
An error occurred at line: 2 in the jsp file: /searchQRStatus.jsp
    Generated servlet error:
    e:\j2sdkee1.3\repository\psa\web\qrstatus\_0002fsearchQRStatus_jsp.java:65: Class org.apache.jsp.ConnectionBean not found.
    ConnectionBean connection = null;
I got repeated similiar error msgs for all my javabeans, ConnectionBean is one of them.
It seems that the server cannot find my javabean .java/.class files.
I only use jsp/javabeans/html/ms access database with ODBC connection.
    1) How to solve my problems?
    2) Do I need to set up a new ODBC 32bit System DSN for my database again, since the location for the database is different after deployment?
any help will be greatly appreciated..............thankz

perhaps your J2EE server only has access to JRE and not JDK? ... you'll need the JDK to run JSP pages because they are compiled on-the-fly into servlets. just a thought.

  • External library DC vs J2EE Server Component - Library DC

    Hi all,
I have been developing where I used jars through the public part of an external library DC and it worked fine, but I'm wondering:
What is actually the difference between a external library DC and a J2EE Server Component - Library DC  ?
When do i use the external library DC and when do i use the J2EE library DC?
    Kind regards,
    J.

    Hello Mark,
I tried what you said in the following scenario:
I created Proxy classes for Enterprise Connector for a BAPI from a backend system.
Those classes where put in a jar. That jar is put in a external library DC with an assembly public part and a compilation public part.
From that i tried two method:
Method 1: i referenced the public parts (assembly and compilation) from external library DC in my web dynpro DC and it worked fine.
Method 2: I referenced the public parts (assembly and compilation) in a J2EE library DC ( for compilation: build time ; for assembly: build time and runtime with strong). In my Web Dynpro DC i referenced the compilation public part from my external library. And in the properties of my web dynpro project i added the reference to my j2ee library (that was also deployed; i can see it in my visual administrator). When running my application, i get the following error:

  • How to install and configure J2EE server in ECC 6.0

    hi,
I created a web service in ECC and I want to test it via SOAMANAGER but when I clik on open web service for selected naviagator binfing it gives me an error
wsnavigator call WAS TERMINATED Because The Corresponding Service is not available.
I searched the forum, apparently it is because the J2EE server is not configured
    thank you for your help

    Try this-----
Setting Up a Connection to a J2EE Server for the Web Services Navigator
To be able to use the Web Service Navigator to test a Web service, you need to set up a connection to a J2EE server, because the Web Service Navigator runs on the Java stack.
    Procedure
Go to the Technical Administration tab.
    Choose Global System Settings.
Choose the Web Services Navigator tab.
    Choose Edit / Display.
Specify a host name and a port number.
If you are working with a J2EE engine with SAP NetWeaver 2004 or 7.0, select J2EE engine is 6.40 / 7.0.
If this option is not selected, the system assumes that you are working with a J2EE engine with version 7.10 or later.
    Save.
Setting Up the Connection to the Services Registry
To create a connection between the provider system and the Services Registry, perform the following steps for each consumer.
From the SOA Manager main screen, go to the Technical Administration tab.
    Choose Global System Settings.
Go to the Services Registry tab.
Choose New to create a new connection.
    Note
To change the settings of an existing connection, choose Edit. To delete an existing connection, Choose Delete.
    End of the note.
    Specify a Services Registry.
The Services Registry name has to be written as a single word, for example, ERP_REGISTRY.
To make this the primary Services Registry, select Primary.
Each time a provider is configured, its endpoints are automatically published to the primary Services Registry.
    Choose Next.
Choose a proxy class to use for communication with the Services Registry.
You can choose either of the following:
    CO_SERVICES_REGISTRY_FLAT_SI
The recommended consumer proxy to configure the connection to the Services Registry. CO_SERVICES_REGISTRY_FLAT_SI is the interface between the ABAP back-end system and the Services Registry system, and contains the appropriate authentication information.
    CO_ESREGISTRY_WSSI
This consumer proxy was used in previous versions.
The service path is determined automatically based on the proxy class name.
    Specify a logical port.
Use uppercase characters for the logical port name.

i don't know where the "OrdContentSource" is,and who tell me how can i config the package to run on jboss or other j2ee server? and if there are such tutorials or articles?
i think that oracle company should provide a common package, when i use non-oracle j2ee server,i can include them.
    thank you!

Looks like you have a proxy configured, and that proxy (of course) doesn't support routing to 127.0.0.1
[01:05:26 AM] t3://127.0.0.1:7101: Destination unreachable; nested exception is:
java.net.ProtocolException: unrecognized response from proxy: 'HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error'; No available router to destinationUnset your proxy (Tools->Preferences->Web Browser & Proxy)

I'm not sure the IOException is the real issue. It looks like there may be some other process using one of the ports the SDK is attempting to bind to. Did you try rebooting your machine and restarting the SDK? If there is another process using a port the SDK requires you may need to change the ports used by the SDK. You can find most of the port settings in the config directory in one of the properties files, depending which port you would like to change. Looks like the orb port is you issue so reboot or modify orb.properties.

  • J2EE Server unable to start

    Hi,
first of all, i'm really new to SAP NW. Today I started installing the Sneak Preview of SAP NetWeaver 2004 7.0 SP9
JavaStack on my Virtual Machine (Windows2003Server, J2SE 1.4.2.09) and it worked fine.
After installation I started the SAP Management Console and tried to start my first and only instance J2E.
In J2E i got 3 instances, the DB, Instance 0 and Instance 1.
    After start:
    DB is working (blue)
    Instance 0 is working (green)
Instance 1 failed while starting (turned from yellow to red)
      Process List shows:
      jcontrol.EXE | J2EE Server | License check failed
      igswd.EXE | IGS Watchdog | Running
    Problem:
I don't know why the License check failed!
I downloaded the Software about mid of february, its been about 3 month ago and I ran the install for the first time
today. What might be the problem? I searched the SDN-History for similar problems, but i did not find an adequate
answer. I checked dev_jcontrol and the "license check failed" entry is in the file. So I'm wondering why my license
check fails, although I'm installing the software for the first time!
An info i got from the start.htm is:
The license of this Trial Version is for evaluation purposes only and does not allow commercial use.
The license is valid for 90 days and cannot be extended (View license). If the license has expired, the
entry license check failed will appear in the trace file <INST_DRIVE>:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\work\dev_jcontrol,
if the instance name remains unchanged during the installation process. Please refer to SAP Developer
Network for more information about commercially available editions of SAP Web Application Server and SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
May one find some more information in that file?
I realised that a package is missing, but read in the forum, that this is not a obligatory package (?)

Hello Vijith, thanks for your answer.
Installed a Sneak Preview of SAP NetWeaver 7.1 CE on Monday(5th May), but it failed.
Deinstalled the 7.1 CE Software on Tuesday (6th May).
Installed Sneak Preview of SAP Netweaver (2004s) 7.0 SP9 on Wednesday (7th May) and it was installed correctly, but i got the problem with the license check.
    So the Options are:
Change the date on OS before starting the Software
    or
Deinstalling the Software and installing SAP Netweaver (2004s) 7.0 SP9 SR 3 (which i downloaded this night). But i think i have to get the registry clean then. Are there Tools to clean the registry from all SAP entries?
