WebDynpro ABAP in WebAS 640

Hi,
I have installed both Netweaver Java and ABAP edition on the same machine successfully. I can started both instances on the same time. No problem so far....
However, when trying WebDynpro ABAP, I got the system message "The runtime of WebDynpro ABAP is removed for WAS 640 (note 774655)".
Q: When this feature will be available?

I'm am seeing bits and pieces of WebDynpro ABAP in the 6.40 Sneak Preview as well, but it seems to have been stripped out. Like Peter has stated, it was not supposed to be in the 6.40 release.

ABAP WebAS 640 Consume Web Service

I am trying to consume a .Net Web Service from a WebAS 640 system, but am encountering problems. Here are the steps I am taking:
1. In SE80, Create a new Package
2. Right-click the package and choose Create > Enterprise Service / Web Service > Proxy Object
3. Choose the first radio button "URL / HTTP Destination"
4. Enter the url of the WSDL of my .Net service
5. Type in the name of my package, and a prefix that begins with Z to put it in the customer namespace
---> At this point, SAP tries to generate the proxy but gives the following error:
"Cannot generate proxy (object schema missing in WSDL, see long text)"
When I click the help button for more information, I see that there is a reference in the WSDL to a namespace which is not defined in the WSDL. This namespace is included by default in .Net - http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema. I do not know whether I should try to remove it or if there is a setting in SE80 which would cause SAP ignore the namespace reference. Does anyone have experience with this?

Background
During proxy generation, an interface description in WSDL format is fetched from the Integration Builder or another source and interpreted. This WSDL document must describe the whole interface correctly.

Diagnosis
In the WSDL document, the object
 "schema"
from the namespace
"http://mycompany.com"
links to the object
 "schema"
from the namespace
 "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
However, this last object does not exist in the WSDL document.
System response
ABAP proxy generation expects that all directly and indirectly referenced objects are in the WSDL document. Therefore, no proxy can be generated for this WSDL and the system displays an error message.
Procedure
This situation can have different causes:
Object "schema" not been defined
Object "schema" saved in the wrong namespace
In the reference to object "schema", the wrong name was specified
In the reference to object "schema", the wrong namespace "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" was specified
Internal error in the service that constructs the WSDL document
Internal error in ABAP proxy generation

I have several Proxy Objects generated against .Net Web Services. I just checked the WSDL for one of them and it has the www.w3.org reference in it:

This is working fine in my WebAS 640 SP12 system. We didn't do any manipulation to the WSDL (it straight linked off the ASMX page that generates for the WebService), nor did we do any particular settings inside SAP.
In your WSDL do you have a schema node in yoru wsdl:types area. This is what mine looks like:

Perhaps these snipets from my WSDL, that is working just fine from ABAP, will help out.

Webdynpro ABAP pdf form hangs

Hello Experts.
I am using WebDynpro ABAP with:
SAP GUI 640 Patch level 23
Adobe Designer is 7.1.3129.1.296948\
Adobe Reader is 9.0.0
I create a view with a button (with source code behind it) and an interactive_form. I add the dataSource, templateSource, and have a place for the pdfSource to be store as an XSTRING. When I test the web dynpro application with the interactive_form ENABLED, I can not interact with the button. The screen will just say "WAIT" and show the wait screen forever. If I disable the interactive_form, the button then works. Also when I place a webdynpro submit button inside the pdf form, it does not do anything when clicked.
Any suggestions?

What is the form display type.
I have a similar situation.
My form display type is activeX and layout type is ZCI
Interface is XML schema based - generated.
Even if the layout type is ZCI, I would still suggest you to update the form using the SFP_ZCI_UPDATE transaction.
If it doesn't work even after that, try making the display type as ActiveX. But I am not too sure about this. I guess it shoudl work even with Native.
Pl post the solution if you find it!

Debugging is not working in R/3 from WebDynpro-ABAP developed webpage input

Dear Friends,
We are facing a serious problem for debugging. Expecting valuable input for the same.
Debugging is not working in R/3 from WebDynpro-ABAP developed webpage input in Production Server.
The debugging (for WebDynpro-ABAP application) is working in Dev. Server for
1st ] Within R/3
Ex. debug for bapi within R/3. i.e. value enter as input in R/3 only.
2nd ] From webpage to R/3
Ex. Some input given on the internet web page developed through WebDynpro and external breakpoint set in R/3 it works. It directs to R/3 code through debugging.
In Prod. Server the 1st case above is working but the 2nd case is not working.
In Prod. Server the WebDynpro developed applications are running successfully through internet explorer webpage inputs. So running the application is not a problem in prod. Server but debugging of the same is the problem.
The setting which are done in Prod. server are,
1] RZ10 in parameters are set for port and host name.
2.1] In SMICM check for ICM.
2.2] Host file updated in Windows-System 32.
3] In SICF following services are active,
3.1] default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro
3.2] default_host/sap/public/bc
3.3] default_host/sap/public/bc/webdynpro/viewdesigner
3.4] default_host/sap/bc/wdvd
3.5] default_host/sap/public/icman
3.6] default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
3.7] default_host/sap/public/ping
3.8] default_host/sap/bc/error
3.9] default_host/sap/bc/echo
4] In SE80
4.1] Internet services-System-are published
4.2] Internet services-WEBGUI-are published
4.3] Utilities-Setting-ABAP Editor-Debugging-Username & New Debugger set.
4.4] Utilities-Setting-ABAP Editor-Editor-Front-End Editor(New) set.
5] In Su01 for user profiles sap_all & sap_new is assigned and role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_DEBUGGER is assigned.
6] The support packages are also updated to latest level.

How to display summation of a field in table displayed in Webdynpro ABAP

Hi,
I am displaying a table in Webdynpro ABAP. This consists of data for different PERNRs.
I need to display the sum of a particular column for each PERNR, after the end of each PERNR data. (table sorted by PERNR).
Is there any way to display this in the table? If so then please let me know.

Hello,
I believe you have created the query in SQ00.
Go to SQ00.
Select your Query.
Click on Change
On the Top Left Hand Corner, you will find "BASIS MODE"
Click on the Basis Mode Button
Once you click on Basis Mode Button, you will get "Title"
Change the title what you are intended to change.
SAVE the entries.
Execute the Query.
You will be able to see new Heading on the Query.

Create PMD (Clinical Document) Document from Webdynpro ABAP

Greetings everyone,
I have developed two PMD document category(Tcode :N2T6 ) for Clinical documents in SAP R/3 and somehow with the limitation of R/3 in terms of developing user friendly screens like Auto fill and image processing etc...,Users do not satisfy with it.So we are planning to develop in Webdynpro ABAP.But i am not sure how do we integrate the webdynpro development with IS-H PMD (clinical documents) documents ,also I am looking for BAPI's to create our customized parameterized documents.Any help will be really appreciated.

You are right that certain features, such as auto-completion, are not supported in the PMD toolset. But as most of the data captured in those documents have a high importance for treatment process, you need to elobarate whether such a feature has any impact on patient safety. Just a quick one - user types An ... and the system determines matching diagnoses such Anorexia or Angina. In case the user picks the wrong one by accident the patient safety is an issue.
Other features such as image management can be used. For that you need to use a PMD link module which does provide the image integration. Siemens will ship in the next release EhP6 such a link module for a third party imaging software. Beforehand the link module use with custom development.
In general Siemens has started a product redesign program named "Smart UI". It's major aim is to provide an up-to-date user interface for all major application within i.s.h.med. The very first application we plan to ship is a web-based electronical medical record.
In case you still want to develop your application, I'm sorry to say, but there are no BAPIs or Web services in the standard delivery. For changes to existing documents you can utilize the PMD API of generator version 2. But be aware that document creation is not supported by the API. You need to have a document. Also certain user exit developments may brake a change without having the GUI running. For instance a popup in the save routine will cause a dump if no SAP GUI is available.

Well, I think you can go for Portal Navigation concept.
Please check the required source code in WDR_TEST_PORTAL_NAV Web Dynpro component. That will illustrate both Page based Navigation and Object based Navigation.

use Pattern button to call function module and use DESTINATION syntax to specify the RFC destination

I am very new in webdynpro (ABAP) application development. I want to create some application based on webdynpro ABAP for few Z- Report. What is the prerequisite to develop a application based on webdynpro( ABAP ) .Because when I am trying to create application in se80 and giving the related functional model name in wedynpro component field , I am getting the error like Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. ZOS_xxx_FM does not exist. How to proceed further?

How to call the RFC from R/3 to SRM, when we use webdynpro abap? (Urgent)

We use SRM Server 5.5 with classic scenario.
We want to call RFC in R/3 from webdynpro ABAP.
How can we do that?
We are developing the web report using webdynpro abap.
So we need some of R/3 data such like PR(EBAN)and PO(EKKO,EKPO).
When user choose the search parameter, report diplay the Shopping cart, PR and PO data on webdynpro. So we call the R/3 RFC to display the PR, PO data.
But I tired to call the RFC in R/3, We could not call it.
How to call the RFC from R/3 to SRM, when we use webdynpro abap?

I am doing some development in Webdynpro Abap.
At this point I am unable to use the standard valuehelp provided in the system for selecting some values in an SAP HR system. Would there be any code samples for coding a custom value help in Webdynpro for ABAP. One of the things I have to be able to do is to dynamically generate the values of the valuehelp based on the value of some other fields on the screen that I am coding.
