Hi,
Logon to portal, Content Administration->Portal Content and by right clicking, select New iView. In the "Template Selection" select SAP Web Dynpro iView.
In the 2nd step, give the name and id of the iView.
In the 3rd step you have the option to select either 'Java' or 'ABAP'. In your case select ABAP.
In the 4th step, select the System and supply namespace and application name of your Web Dynpro ABAP Application. Click and Next->Finish. Now you will find the iView for your web dynpro ABAP application.

ADS Error while calling WebDynpro Abap with Adobe Form

Hi Experts,
I have created an Adobe Form and its interface in Transaction SFP. In a WebDynpro Abap Component I created an UI-element "Interactive Form" with the context of my form. So the WebDynpro Context was created automatically. Then I tried to call the WebDynpro Application in the Internet Explorer but got the error message:
german(original):
WebDynpro Exception: Der Aufruf des ADS schlug fehl. Informationen zur Ursache finden Sie im error.pdf auf dem Applikationsserver.
english:
WebDynpro Exception: The call of ADS failed. You find information in error.pdf on Application server.
How can I call error.pdf and what can that be? One WebDynpro Component with the form runs without any problems, the other one doesn't do this. I have no idea if it is a problem with context or server or something else.

Iview from webDynpro ABAP with Adobe interactive form

Hi gurus.
Can I make an iview from a webDynpro ABAP that generates an Adobe Interactive Form, and generate this form from the portal as well?

Using Adobe Cycler Designer you can design an interactive Form (fields to be filled by the client, buttons, etc.) and you can integrate this with webDynpros ABAP and JAVA. I want to make an iview that connects with this webDynpro and also generates this form to be filled by the user, so it can send the data back to the sap system.

WebDynpro ABAP with ECC5.0

Some of our developers would like to use WebDynPro ABAP. is this available with ECC5.0? If not what is the process of getting this installed/configured? Do we need to upgrade to ECC 600/700?

WebDynpro ABAP is available from ECC 6.0 onwards ..Yes you need to upgrade it to ECC 6.0

Best way for binding tables from webdynpro Abap with FlashIsland

We've found several ways to access ArrayCollection columns in a Flex application embedded in an Abap Webdynpro.
The SAP System is SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP7 and the flex application is compiled with SDK 3.0.
1/ Syntax like MyArrayCollection[n][Column1]. In this case, the GACProperty's name of the GACDataSource must be "Column1" and it is case sensitive
2/ Syntax like MyArrayCollection[n].COLUMN1 where COLUMN1 is the attribute's name in the webdynpro Abap context node. In this case, the GACProperty's name seems to not be important, and the column's names of the ArrayCollection must be upper case.
Do you know which is the best way to do the binding and why?

First, The ISR Scenarios are not for iviews. They are just a part of a view. We can use webdynpro ABAP with the ISR Scenarios. We need to embed these forms into our webdynpro ABAP views and code accorsdigly to get the data. There are some standard components that are provided by SAP to handle ISR Forms with Webdynpro. Check these.

ISR with WebDynpro ABAP

Hi Experts,
We are building a custom HR application to automate various HR processes
like New Hire, Termination, etc.. Due to certain internal issues we are
unable to use the standard business package for MSS (and hence PCR screens
with adobe forms). We have to create custom webdynpro abap screens for the
whole application. Now i would like to check if there is a possibility to
use the ISR framework with a custom webdynpro abap application.
I checked the transaction QISRSCENARIO but i could not find any option for
webydnpro abap in "Entry type for Web".
Have anyone of you tried such a scenario earlier with ISR's? Is there no way
that we can use webdynpro ABAP applications with ISRs? Or do we have any
work around for this.

Exit from Webdynpro abap application in portal environment

Hi,
I created one custom service in Webdynpro ABAP in ESS and also integrated in the portal environment
I need to put Exit button in every page ( OVERVIEW, EDIT, REVIEW). When user click on 'EXIT' button from any one of page , it should return back to PERSONAL INFORMATION in ESS Homepage.
I have used Exit plug in window , but i read in SAP Library Exit plugs will not work in portal environment.
Let me know which way i should proceed to acheive the Exit functionality.

Webdynpro ABAP pdf form hangs

Hello Experts.
I am using WebDynpro ABAP with:
SAP GUI 640 Patch level 23
Adobe Designer is 7.1.3129.1.296948\
Adobe Reader is 9.0.0
I create a view with a button (with source code behind it) and an interactive_form. I add the dataSource, templateSource, and have a place for the pdfSource to be store as an XSTRING. When I test the web dynpro application with the interactive_form ENABLED, I can not interact with the button. The screen will just say "WAIT" and show the wait screen forever. If I disable the interactive_form, the button then works. Also when I place a webdynpro submit button inside the pdf form, it does not do anything when clicked.
Any suggestions?

What is the form display type.
I have a similar situation.
My form display type is activeX and layout type is ZCI
Interface is XML schema based - generated.
Even if the layout type is ZCI, I would still suggest you to update the form using the SFP_ZCI_UPDATE transaction.
If it doesn't work even after that, try making the display type as ActiveX. But I am not too sure about this. I guess it shoudl work even with Native.
Pl post the solution if you find it!

Integration adobe interactive form - webdynpro abap - digital signature

Hi,
We are developing an interactive form inside a webdynpro abap with a signature field.
The signature is not checked because there is not yet a ssl connection.
When the Web Dynpro get processed the form appears to lose the signature.
We have developed an archive process next to the affixing of the signature of the document.
Ads connection is slow, so while the Web Dynpro is processed i'm able to read this error in the form(adobe reader):
"Signed and all signatures are valid, but with unsigned changes after last signature. Please Fill Out The Following.
You can save data typed into this form."
When the page finishes processing I see this error in the form:
At least one require validating signatures.
*Clicking on "validate all" i get this error:*
"3 Miscellaneous Change (s)"
In few words, the pdf is saved and stored with a "warning" status in the signature.
Has anyone had this problem?
I also tried to create a new form and a webdynpro completely new, but the problem persists.

with ZCI layout, you can directly get the values from the node that is bound.

Implementing WebDynpro ABAP in JAVA Portal

Hello
We have a JAVA enterprise Portal and we would like to create an iView of WebDynpro ABAP application.
We have done it in our QA portal by creating a system and in the property editor configuring the "Web AS Host Name" & "Web AS Path".
It works great becuase there is only one ABAP application server.
However, in Productoin we have several ABAP application server and one central instance.
If i create a system using template and choose "SAP system with load balancing" , still In the property editor i see only "Web AS Host Name" .
How can i set in the system's property editor a group of servers that hold WebDynpro ABAP application ?
Does anybody have a clue ?

Hi Adi,
For load balancing purposes you should use the SAP Web Dispatcher. The Web Dispatcher will know all you web application servers and will redirect the requests to the app server with more resources available.
Thus you can set the Web As hostname and port to the Web Dispatcher.
You should avoid using the message server for load balancing purposes. I can suggest you the following SAP notes for further information:

ESS Customization in WebDynpro ABAP

Hi Friends,
We are working on ESS Customization in Webdynpro abap. we have an issue.
We have General Data webdynpro screen having some fields, same screen framework is using for Travel Request creation, expense creation, in some other screens. Now I would like to add some more fields in the screen for Travel request creation.
I need some parameter to differ which screen it is.
please help me which parameter will differ, otherwise give me code to fetch the iview name in webdynpro. with this I can differentiate the screens.
