Webdynpro and webservice navigator security

hi everyone,
i dont know if this is the right forum but heres my question:
how can i secure the webdynpro applications and the webservice navigator? by now, everyone in our lan can access the webdynpros or the webservices by using the navigator and could use the them, which is a little bit dangerous.
so, how can i restrict the access to that gui? like portal sessions or something like that?

Hi,
If some users have access to the web services Navigator, they comply with one of the following requirements:
- belong to the Administrator group
- assigned to an Administrator role
- have the UME WSNavigator administrator action
To prevent these users from accessing the web services Navigator, you should modify their access rights appropriately. You can check [Identity Management|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/b8/58414254259d35e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm] for details.
Hope this helps,
Rossen

  • Webservice navigator secured after SP16 applied to Java stack?

We applied SP16 to one of our NW 7.0 Java stacks and now the Web services navigator is secured, it no longer allows unauthenticated access.  The trouble is, we have people who test web services using this tool who we don't want to give admin access to.  Can we change the securty or authorizations on this application?

We fixed this.  We were able to change the UME group associated with the application from Security Provider within Visual Admin.

    Hi
You can use the SAPLogontickets for the webservices.
Set the configuration in Visual Administrator->Services -> Destinations -> HTTP -> Logon Data Authentication as LogonTickets.

By running through few posts on SDN a probable solution for this was proposed as: blank the "designtimeWsdlUrl" properties of the model in NWDS and re-deploy the application
Any help on this would be great.

    Dear Shailesh,
Did you try to check the blank the "designtimeWsdlUrl" properties of the model in NWDS and re-deploy the application? please try to check and test.
Also try to import fresh in new DC and check whether it is working or not.

  • BPM 11g: JAVA API and Webservice API

Who knows BPM 11g: JAVA API and Webservice API?
Customer want to call BPM 11g between Heterogeneous systems, such .net framework. One way is use webservice API, I think, but where can find it? thank you

When you create a BPM application in 11g, you're actually creating a SOA composite application with a BPMN component in the composite. From within the BPMN editor, you can specify the interface (parameters) of each start node in the process. If you select a start node, look at the implementation tab, you'll see a properties group that lets you define the interface one property at a time, or by selecting an interface from the catalog.
By defining these properties you're also defining the shape of the Web Service interface that will automatically be created in the composite. If you switch to the composite view, you'll see your BPMN process with a wire to it from a Web Service that's generated from the interface defined in the BPMN editor. The naming convention is the BPMN process name with ".service" appended. When you deploy the BPMN process, the web service will also be deployed, since it's also part of the composite. From Enterprise Manager (EM) you can test the service and get the WSDL, which could be used by other applications (e.g. .NET) to start and interact with a process instance.
This is one of the advantages of the 11g architecture. The composite exposes services to consumers/clients. The implementation could have been BPEL, BPMN, a Mediator, Java/EJBs, or any combination working together. To the consumer, it's just a web service.
In case your next question was about security ... you won't see properties about security in the BPMN editor. You use Web Service Manager to apply security or other constraints to the web service endpoint.

  • Runtime error while testing BAPI using Webservice Navigator

    Hi all,
I created a webservice to a BAPI and tested in Webservice Navigator, while testing it is throwing the below error:
    Runtime Errors         SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
    Exception              CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLCRM_LINK_DU" - in
    "CRM_LINK_SAVE_DU".
The main program was "RSM13000 ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 15
    of the (Include) program "LCRM_LINK_DUU01".
The program "SAPLCRM_LINK_DU" was started in the update system.
The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurred in
procedure "CRM_LINK_SAVE_DU" "(FUNCTION)", but it was neither handled locally
    nor declared
in the RAISING clause of its signature.
The procedure is in program "SAPLCRM_LINK_DU "; its source code begins in line
    1 of the (Include program "LCRM_LINK_DUU01 ".

  • Firefox 2.0 - Problems with Webdynpro and HTML iviews

    Hello all,
We have implemented the SAP Netweaver portal 7.0 SP 10. Everything works fine on IE 6.0 and 7.0. When we tested it on Firefox 2.0, we encountered the following problems:
    1. The links on the detailed navigation area are missing
    2. Web Dynpro applications dont work very well. Eg: Clicking on "Next" button does not take you to the next view, OVS does not work etc.
    3. SAP transaction iViews(HTML) don't show up at all.

    Hi Ravi,
    Jin has correctly explained.
Only two connectors are provided from SAP
    JCO- for connecting java applications
    >.Net connectors - for connecting >net applications
And SAP has provided these connectors bcoz these the two most popular technologies or framefork these days which are very common.
But In my previous examples , I try to explain the concepts only by giving .net as example.
Now for making you clear, No SAP connector is available for C++ for accessing RFC but C++ can access web services using XML and SOAP
    Again Note these points.
    RFC is SAP specific.
    Used For----->
    SAP applications- SAP applications
SAP Appl - Java Applications(Using JCO)
SAP Applications->Net Applications( using >NEt connectorprovided by SAP)
    Web Service is open standard
Any Platform/Any Language to Any Platform/Language( which can understand SOAp and XML).

  • Parent (Global) and Current (Navigation) on the Same Page

    Hello,
I am using the managed metadata feature in a SharePoint 2013 publishing site.  I am trying to layout my navigation as shown in the diagram below.  I can not find a publishing master page that implements this parent child relationship.  My
top navigation is use the markup:
    <PublishingNavigation:PortalSiteMapDataSource ID="topSiteMap" runat="server" EnableViewState="false" SiteMapProvider="GlobalNavigationSwitchableProvider" StartFromCurrentNode="false" StartingNodeOffset="0"
    ShowStartingNode="false" TrimNonCurrentTypes="Heading"/>

    UseSimpleRendering="true" UseSeparateCss="false" Orientation="Horizontal" StaticDisplayLevels="1" AdjustForShowStartingNode="true" MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="1" SkipLinkText=""/>
I have tried using the same markup, using a different StartingNodeOffset and SiteMapProviders, for the side menu with no success.
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create Parent (Global) and Current (Navigation) on the Same Page.
You can make quicklaunch work contextually like structural nav quicklaunch using Managed Metadata navigation. Please refer to:
Managed Metadata Navigation - How do you make quicklaunch work contextually like structural nav quicklaunch?
In addition, you can used JQuery and CSS to achieve staticlevel left navigation in SharePoint 2013.

  • Print, Export and Page Navigation Buttons in the Report

When I view a report through CR4E, the generated report has 3 buttons namely Print, Export and Page Navigation buttons. But when I click on either of the buttons I get a &#39;null pointer exception&#39;. This is a critical error as I am unable to navigate past the first page. Do I have to add code to these buttons? If not, why am I getting an error? Kindly solve my problem as soon as possible.

<p>Looking at your code it appears that you are storing the ReportSource in session prior to passing in the ResultSet. This will create a problem when a postback is made on  the viewer page (which all of the viewer actions do). If you look at the sample code which is generated when you use the JSP Page Wizard you will notice that the ResultSet is passed to the ReportClientDocument object prior to it being stored in session. Then, when the page is called again this object is retrieved and the ReportSource is used by the viewer. You can quickly run the test using one of our sample reports to see what I am talking about.
