Webdynpro Authentication Screen

Dear All,
         I have a webdynpro application which requires authentication into portal before its accessed. I have set the application properties to sap authentication and deployed it.
          The issue I face is when I try to request for the application URL it displays the standard SAP logon screen but not the one which is customized by us (we have a login screen which is customized for the customer).
          Could someone please let me know where I can make the WebDynpro app point to the customized login screen URL rather than the standard one?

Removal of Basic MII authentication screen

Currently, when you log into MII using a UME user, such as Administrator, you are presented with an authentication screen that allows you to type in the username and password. Since our client requires SSO enabled url, the user should never see the basic authentication screen. The issue here is if the user is not authenticated through ABAP or LDAP, it will reroute to the basic authentication screen. This is a security risk for my client. We need to remove or replace this screen. How can this be done?

Setting up SPNego with X.509 should allow direct access once the MII URL is typed.

DB Authentication Screen

Hi,
I am hoping some one can help me on this.
I have 2 reports running on the same server, I have customized DB auth file for 1st Report but when I run the 2nd Report I still get the customized Screen.
How can I get two different DB Authentication Screens for 2 diff reports on the same server?.

Am not sure why this is happening for only one DB. In general, rwservlet stores a client-side cookie (called Userid cookie) to store DB connection information, so that users do not need to re-authenticate themselves again with the same database. I would recommend that you go through "Securing Oracle Reports" whitepaper (page 11), and see what may be causing this in your environment, eg, maybe some environment setting, or browser setting that is peculiar to reports being run against this DB:

Authentication Screen when accessing Web Dynpro Application

Hi,
We are encountering a situation wherein when we call the Web dynpro application, it asks for Authentication. The way we do is a bit tricky. We have the following set up;
1. We access the CRM_IC ( Web Gui) in CRM and from where we try to create orders in the backend system i.e., ECC6.0 (IS_Utilities).
2. For creating orders we launch the FOP ( in our case it is DYNPRO) from CRM. So ECC screen is opened through ITS using SSO.
3. In addition to this we built a web dynpro application to be called from the DYNPRO (step 2).
4. When the Web dynpro application is accessed it asks for Login details though it has already logged into ECC using SSO.
PROBLEM: CRM -- using ITS / SSO --> ECC --> Web dynpro ?? Authentication screen.
Design:
We are using WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE to open the Web dynpro in SAPGUI. It is working fine when we run the Web dynpro application from SAPGUI, only the problem is when we do the above steps 1 - 4.
Tried using the following logic as well but the same result.
CREATE OBJECT viewer EXPORTING parent = empty_container.
CALL METHOD viewer->enable_sapsso
CALL METHOD viewer->DETACH_URL_IN_BROWSER
EXPORTING url = urlc.
cl_gui_cfw=>flush( ).
So is it possible to over come the problem. Basically, we don't want the Authentication screen it should use SSO.
SSO is already set up in the system.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

WebDynpro Java Screen Feasibility

Hi,
I am trying to understand the Feasibility of this Requirements solution from SAP WebDynpro Java perspective.
Requirements-
1)     Design a SAP WebDynpro Java screen. On click of upload button read an Excel sheet which contains Part no1 & Part no2 records. In an excel sheet there is 6,000 records.
2)     Whenever a record is read from the Excel it will search the unique combination of Part no1 & Part no2 in the database (in this case SAP MDM Data Manger). The database contains 7,00,000 records which is not indexed/ sorted..
3)                   6000 times (excel sheet records) step 2 is repeated
4)     For each record the output can be zero, one or more records. The output need to be displayed/ generated in Excel sheet
5)     Concurrently this functionality is used by 5 users.
Question-
a)     Do this requirement can be achieved using SAP WebDynpro Java ? If yes, then from performance perspective how much time it take to upload the excel sheet & create a new Excel sheet functionality?
b)     If No, then why ?
I am trying to understand whether this requirement is Feasible (Y/ N) with valid reasons?
Any valid inputs will be highly appreciated!

Let me advise SAP MDM administrator to index the database.
1) If it is indexed and if it works then as proximity how much time it take to read and generate an excel sheet ?
2) Suppose after indexing the database is not indexed/ it does not work (limitation from DB perspective) then proximity how much time it take to read and generate an excel sheet ?
This requirement is feasible (Y/N) from WebDynpro Java perspective ?
Also could you please clarify this sentence - "But don't do it while reading the file, the I/O will drain your performance)".

How to avoid authentication screen when invoking a process?

Hello!
I created a simple webservice in Workbench to generate a sequential ID for PDF forms.
It's working fine, but the form is open a Windows Security dialog asks for login and password to access the webservice.
As there are over sixty of these forms to be used by around 4,000 employees, this will be a major problem.
Question: is there a way of invoking the process and sending the authentication information when the form is opened and thus avoid this dialog entirely?

But... it did not work...
I set it to "No", stopped the service, started it back again. No good.
When I press the button on the form to invoke the service, the Windows authentication screen comes on.
What could be wrong?

Proxy authentication screen blinks with ios 7

Have a router that has VPN to my work's network.
When I want to connect to our company network, I used to get a proxy authentication screen to enter user name and password.
After I updated my iPad-2 to IOS 7, the authentication screen just blinks and goes away. Then I have a message that says I do not have a network connection.
Although I can go to the internet, I can not get into my company's network.
Connection is WPA Enterprise.
It used to work just fine with the previouse IOS.

Opening sap transaction in uwl to webdynpro java screen

Hi Poral Gurus
I am new to uwl concept . we are in the process of the Leave apply and approval . the work items are displayed in the sbwp
which comes in uwl . when we click on the item in work list it is opening the sap transaction, but the requirement is there any way to convert the sap transaction view to the webdypro java screen . the screen should not no way look like the sap transaction but it should look like which is developed in webdynpro java using nwds
The problem here is the work item is opening the sap logon when an work item is being clicked and the screen also is not exactly what we look in sbwp. it is having a different look. the screen is becomming small where the user has to use scroll bars to navigate to particular input element,but in sbwp it is showing the full screen.
Please help on this is there any way to solve this problem.

Let us know whether you are using the standard Leave request application with standard workflow or customized screen.
If you are using Custom development for the approval screen, then Make sure that you have mapped your custom development screen to the workflow task in SWFVISU.
Then Re-register the UWL system in portal which is available in the below location.
System administration - system configuration - universal worklist and workflow u2013 universal worklist administration - Universal worklist systems - re-register the workflow system.

ABAP WebDynpro Customised Screens

Hello,
We are currently trying to build some new ERP transaction screens using ABAP WebDynpro having the same layout as the ESS/MSS business packages which are of course built using Java WebDynpro. So basically looking at building screens which have the guided procedures format (some sort of a wizard which guides you through a few steps to complete the transaction).
Was wondering if we can have a similar interface built using ABAP WebDynpro as is avaialble in JAVA WebDynpro for completely new transactions (we are not tring to modify the ESS/MSS existing business package iViews).

WDA and WDJ have the same roots and hence share the same programming model. This includes the ui element model as well. There are very few exceptions where some platform specific adoptions had to be made (such as for the FileUpload) or where a slightly different focus had one platform implement a certain feature or ui element earlier than the other one.
Regarding extensibility, WDA offers features like the enhancement framework. As far as I am aware, ESS/MSS has its own extensibility support allowing you to generate new forms and processes. Since I am not an expert on this matter, I might be mistaken as well. So my suggestion would be to check the ESS/MSS documentation regarding any built-in extensibility.

here i have only one screnn with multi functinality.
thats why i designed one Button. and in the button i want to write some logic.
so that whil e i will click on the button the whole application will get refreshed. so that no need to press F5 also.
i need some relevant logic for this so that , i wil put in my Button in Ui screen

How to upload images on WebDynpro(ABAP) screens

Hello All,
Could any one please help on how to create/change the image (jpeg/any file) dynamically on WebDynpro screen. I have seen couple of examples for uploading the text files in WDR_TEST_EVENTS, WDR_TEST_WEB_ICONS, but not found any standard program that explains about uploading images.
Requirement: User has to select any image/thumbnail from local PC and it should be displayed on main screen, it's not only from MIME directory.
We have the same logic in BSP Application (CFX_RFC_UI) to upload the thumbnail but am not sure whether we can use the same logic in WDC or not?

Webdynpro Appl screens in different languages based on the browsers languag

Hello Everybody,
In Java Webdynpro, how to get the screen elements in different languages, based on the browser language selected. It means.. for instance, we have the requirement to show the application in two languages, based on the language setting(language selected in the browser) of the users browsers.
We have to read the browser language selected and based on that value, we have to get the screens to come in that language.
Is that only through the Internationalisation process or is there any other way to do this.

Calling WebDynpro input screen from within an abap Function module / user

Hi,
I am posting SAP data with a BAPI from an Web Dynpro Application.
In the Bapi I must use an BADI/User -EXIT to add some infornation.
Today this is done by calling an Dynpro in a function module. This creates a pop up, data is filled and posted on commit.
How can I get a Web Dynpro application to display this popup without showing the "call screen without connection " error ?

SAP entitlement system doesnot appear in CMC Authentication Screen

Hi BO Experts,
We are unable to Integrate SAP entitlement with BO Edge 3.1 Enterprise
server because it doesn't appear in CMC console "Authentication TAB".
