Webdynpro Exception ICF service node

Hi folks,
I am new to webdynpro and using CRM 5.0 or NW 7.0 for creating application in webdynpro abap.
Here when i am trying to run the program , its giving following exception and now allowing me  to run.
WebDynpro Exception: ICF service node for application /sap/public/myssocntl does not exist
So what could be the reason and solution for this problem.
Regards
Jhon

The service node in question is the Single Sign On node that is used to generate a logon ticket from your SAPGUI logon. This is only used when testing a service from the SAPGUI directly.  You can work around the problem by just cutting and pasting the URL into a browser instead of launching it from the SAPGUI.  You will be prompted for user name and password on a logon screen then.
However this is a just a workaround.  You should check SICF and see if this node is actually missing or if it has just been deactivated.  If you want Single Sign On to work, then this node must be present and active.

i have created my web-dynpro application in development. and sent to quality . whenever i will execute my dynpro in quality  i got one message
ERROR: ICF service node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zqm_cto_arr_general1" does not exist (see SAP Note 1109215) (termination: ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE)

    Hi Ashok,
for your requirement the application is not exist in particular place. It means, the webdynpro application is saved at different package or different location.
Please change the webdynpro component name and save it in particular request in package, then transport it to quality ..(development server )
then go to SICF  t.code .. sap->bc->webdynpro->sap->find  out your application and activate the service of your webdynpro application.
Now test it ... this solution might helpful to you .

  • WebDynpro Exception: 应用程序 UNDEFINED 不存在

    麻烦大家问下,执行WEBDYNPRO FOR ABAP的时候总出现这种EXCEPTION,怎么解决?

    Thomas,
I have seen a few thread on similar problem.
Now with SRM7(701 SP6) we also have such strange dumps.
The users are not recognizing anything on the UI.
    We have such dumps:
ICF service node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sapsrm/wda_l_fpm_gaf/undefined" does not exist (see SAP Note 1109215).
    or
ICF service node "/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/powl/undefined" does not exist (see SAP Note 1109215).
I found a note that can be used:
SAP Note 1414404 - Web Dynpro ABAP generates unnecessary dumps.
But this just relpace the error raise issue with an error message issue.
The core problem is why the "undefined" service subnode is called from a webdynpro.
In ST22 I can see such dumps for a user e.g. 10 times within 30 sec.
Not all user can produce the dumps.
We are at the begining with this issue, so we will start the detailed system trace next monday.
Based on the threads I've read, this is also a new problem for everybody (different kind of apps, e.g. ECC, SRM) and raised in most cases ater an upgrade (having a higher basis netweaver release).
So maybe it is a core WD issue with new netweaver base releases.
Do appreciate if you can help us to find the solution or suggest what to check/trace, etc.
Many thanks for your kind help.
    BR
    Richard

    Dear Raja,
I loggged into Visual Admin to change the value of sap.ADSCallingMode", from "http" to "soap. but that particular property is not maintained in the default property sheet  in the following path
    Server -> Services -> Configuration Adapter -> webdynpro -> sap.com -> tcwddispwda.
but you can see in the error trace i have given above that it is a SOAP based request. I am on EP 6 SP 9; will I have to upgrade or is it any other problem?

Is there any solution for that?
WebDynpro Exception: The ADS call has failed. You can find information about the cause in the error.pdf on the application server.

It sounds like your system is not properly configured for the connection to the Adobe Document Services.  Have your system admins confirm the setup.  Look for the error.pdf document mentioned in the exception for more details on the actual cause of the error. This error message is generic and could be caused by several different conditions - almost all of which are related to incomplete or incorrect configuration of the ADS/ADS Connectivity.
