WebDynpro Java Field for recognizing Subtype selected

I wanted to find out the field which gets updated each time when different subtypes are selected in the Overview screen....

can you verify if some personalisation is done on this iview to hide these fields of clock times?
It should be visible

I have a dynamic table I have given a context node as a data source and it executes a Web Service and populates itself based on the resultset of query this node contains no of columns and rows
The table changes dynamically everytime the user selects different table type
When I created a TableFilter I used IWDTableColumn from the current view and looped though the context elements and binded the values of attributes of each context element to this column inside a loop. TableSort works, But I am not able to get the Filter working for the Dynamic Table , when I click on Filter Button the Filter does not filterand just sorts.
Not sure what is wrong but if someone can give some inputs,leads I will highly appreciate if some one has a sample of WebDynpro Java TableFilter for Dynamic Table

since your dynamic table uses webservice I assume it has fixed context attributes, just put the filter into wdDoModify method everytime you execute/trigger the webservice.

Address fields for a country selected

Hi All,
Based on the country I need to get the address fields that I have to display.
I am having a module pool screen where the address fields should be enabled disabled based on the country the user selects. Is there any function module which gives the address fields for a country selected.

If i eneter Counrtry code it should display all the Address Belonging to that Perticulsr country
I dont think there is a Function Module which fulfills ur requirement...
I hav used Smartforms for Report and i wrote Query to get t data...
just try " ADDR_GET"

How to export a Webdynpro java DC, for reuse in another system

Hi Everybody,
I am having a Webdynpro Java DC, i want to give that DC to another person to import into his system and work. i am doing a export of that DC and creating a zip file. But when we are trying to import it in another system, it is giving errors. When trying to build, its not showing DC options at all, DC-> buid or deploy options are not visible, when right clicked over the DC.
Am i doing it in a wrong way. Can anybody help me.

Are you working with local DC?
Then you can take ur dc in the following way..
Find where the dcs are stored in ur system..
<Some File Path> .dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\<your dc package>\
There will be a folder with your project name.
Copy that folder and Paste in the other system under the same folder structure.
ie., the copied folder need to be pasted here
<Some path> .dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\<your dc package>\
Once you copied,Open your NWDS and go to DC perspective.In the Local DCs.
Go to Local Development -- > My Component
Right Click on 'My Component' and click on 'Refresh'.
Your new project will appear under the 'My Component' hierarchy.
Right Click on your project and Choose 'Create Project'.
Now Proper dc will be available for you to work on.

Dynamic table field for filtering a selection criteria

I am using a table a981 and fetching data in internal table but the table has a fieil Country whose technical name is ALAND in dev and LAND1 in production.Now i cannot use LAND1 as it wont let me to activate the report and if i use ALAND i cannot move the request to production as it fails. So how can i achive dynamic table field in the select query based on server.My query is-

           wkreg
           matnr
           knumh
   from a981 into corresponding fields of table it_a981
   for all entries in it_marc where matnr = it_marc-matnr

Unable to mark ITXEX field for first subtype in IT40

Hi,
My problem is as follows:
1. I am using a bespoke ABAP program to create a subtype (any subtype) for IT40 (objects on loan).
2. The program is able to create the infotype - subtype records correctly. This is was verified using PA30.
3. However, if the subtype created is the first record i.e. SEQNR = '000', the ITXEX field would NOT be marked, i.e. ITXEX=X.
4. Subsequent created records of the same subtype e.g. SEQNR = '001, 002...etc' will be marked however.
What happens then is that the comments are not displayed for the first subtype record in PA30. They are however displayed for all subsequent records.
I am able to see all the created records in table PA0040. Also, the cluster table PCL1 is updated with a new record each for each records created in PA0040.
I am using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION (Mode = 'INS') to create the record and CL_HRPA_TEXT_CLUSTER Update method to write the comments into the cluster table.
I am unsure if this could be a config issue. Please help if you know what is going on.

I don't think supressing through Global Personalization will change the business logic. Within the Business Logic it checks for the mandatory field.
After the changes I guess you need to make the changes accordingly.

How to select this field for the extractor?

Hi Gurus, I hope you are fine!
I need to extract the field     PRED_OPPT_GUID   form the Data source 0CRM_SRV_CONTRACT_H inside CRM system.
If I go inside CRM to:
Transaction SBIW -> Settings for BW Adapter -> Maintain DataSource and Enhance BW Adapter Metadata ->
tipe "0CRM_SRV_CONTRACT_H" and press change buttom -> Mapping TAB
there I can see the field I need "PRED_OPPT_GUID" but this is not selected at the "BW Selection" Column , I guess this is the cause why I am not receiving this field from the extractor, Am I right?
If yes, How can I select this field for the "BW Selection" Column? (the system does not allow me to click it directly)
if not, what is the proper procedure if I need to extract this field ? because this is the key field for the DSO

This is what i can see inside the ROOSFIELD table:
Filtered by data source = 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H
Comparison with another field:
BILL_TO_PARTY (working properly)    columns:        SELECTION = X              NOTEXREL= Y
PRED_OPPT_GUID (Not working)           columns:        SELECTION = (Empty)    NOTEXREL= Y
I think that if I try to change the Selection field to X it will cause inconsistencies with the SMOXRELP table am I right ?
I tried to change using the system and not directly into the tables, but thaere was an inconsitecie between these 2 tables.
Why is no able this field taking into account that this is the KEY FIELD inside the standard DSO? it has no sense to me.
What do you think?

Build gui for existing oracle database tables with webdynpro java?

i want to build a GUI to maintain existing oracle tables
so far we used oracleFORMS to do so
is there a good approach for webdynpro java? or do you recommend other sap tools?
can we generate the gui with a wizard based on the fields in the table?
do we have to generate sql statements or type in manually?

Hi Joerg,
generally that is possible, but you'll have to implement the data access by yourself, by means of EJB or another Java persistance framework such as JDO, SQLMaps, Hibernate, whatever...
Web Dynpro allows to build a GUI based upon a model - in this case this could be some POJOs (DTOs) representing your database tables, which are communicated to the GUI by your data access layer. Consider a model as a simple Java bean representing database data.
This approach would require to build a data access layer which incorporates manually generated sql statements, so you'll have to have expert database and java knowledge.
There might be other approaches, this is just to demonstrate one working possibility.

I am modifying PCRs (MSS 1.0,EP 7,ECC 6.0) and now I have come to a point where I need to decide if I have to use Webdynpro JAVA or Webdynpro ABAP for modifying Adobe interactive forms which come with MSS 1.0 out of the box from SAP.

I will have to develop a custom PCR for Hire/Rehire (no workflow -- weird right),
now if I develop Adobe forms for this, my question is how am I going to bind these forms to the scenario (QISRSCENARIO).
Whatever is entered in this form is not going through workflow but is going to be directly updated in the database when the manager says SUBMIT.
Usually the HR developer goes to the scenario and selects input by Adobe form and clicks <b>generate</b>, but now if I develop the form using Webdynpro JAVA how am I going to integrate the generated form to that particular scenario.
Sorry if Iam not clear enough, but I really need help in this regard.

How to write Java script for refering the 1st page text field from 2nd page?

Hello I am developing an VISITOR info interactive form with webdynpro ABAP, its with 2 pages. Their heirarchy is,

Validation of data fields in the Excel through webdynpro java

Hi Surya,
As per my info, you need to upload the file first then only web dynpro will be able to check for the mandatory fields.
Do this, while reading the buffer from the excel, just check the size of desired columns. Hope that will help.

10g Locks Up when selecting database field for optimistic locking

As the subject says, when I attempt to select the database field for optimistic locking, JDeveloper locks up and I have to kill it with the task manager.
Should I post problems with TopLink in 10g in this forum or the TopLink forum?

Here are the following ways
1.with the help of match code objects we can create the F4 Functionality for Field.
Syntax is :
PARAMETERS: p_org LIKE t527x-orgeh MATCHCODE OBJECT zorg.
2. One more thing is we can do it with Search Help's also.
3. Even we can do it HELP Views also.
Help Views:
You have to create a help view if a view with outer join is needed as selection method of a search help
The selection method of a search help is either a table or a view. If you have to select data from several tables for the search help, you should generally use a database view as selection method. However, a database view always implements an inner join. If you need a view with outer join for the data selection, you have to use a help view as selection method.
All the tables included in a help view must be linked with foreign keys. Only foreign keys that have certain attributes can be used here. The first table to be inserted in the help view is called the primary table of the help view. The tables added to this primary table with foreign keys are called secondary tables.
The functionality of a help view has changed significantly between Release 3.0 and Release 4.0. In Release 3.0, a help view was automatically displayed for the input help (F4 help) for all the fields that were checked against the primary table of the help view. This is no longer the case in Release 4.0.
As of Release 4.0, you must explicitly create a search help that must be linked with the fields for which it is offered (see Linking Search Helps with Screen Fields ).
Existing help views are automatically migrated to search helps when you upgrade to a release higher than 4.0.
A help view implements an outer join, i.e. all the contents of the primary table of the help view are always displayed. You therefore should not formulate a selection condition for fields in one of the secondary tables of the help view. If records of these secondary tables cannot be read as a result of this selection condition, the contents of the corresponding fields of the secondary table are displayed with initial value.

How to set a payload field value only once for multiple instances selected?

The user needs to set a payload field value and then he can approve the task so the task can continue through the process, that's fine when the user selects one instance and sets the value in the task details section and then clicks the approve button, but how do we achieve the same behavior in a multiple way?, I mean the user can select multiple tasks in the workspace (in this case the details task page is not available and instead the following label appear "Multiple tasks selected") then if the user clicks the Actions drop down -> APPROVE he only gets the message "your request was processed successfully", so how can the user modify the payload field value only once for all the selected tasks so when he clicks APPROVE the value is populated in all the instances selected.

Creating Packages and Namespace for Webdynpro Java applications in NWDS

Hi Experts,
I am working on a stand alone application and using NWDS for the same. This application consist of some Webdynpro Java apps, Dictionary perspective DC's and BPM applications.
I need to create a package and name space for all the applications. I have read some documents on creating SC in SLD and using it in NWDI. But since I am working on NWDS i am not able to see the SC.
May be I am not following a correct procedure. Can some one provide a basic document or can tell me steps in short that i need to follow, for Name space and package creation and how to use them in NWDS.
I am working on CE7.1 ehp1.
