WebI 3D bar graph doesnu00B4t look 3D in excel

In Webi I created a vertical grouped bar chart and then I chose the Display option->  3d look.  The graph looks cool in WebI, it looks 3D as I expected, but when I export it to excel it doesn´t show 3D, it looks like if I didn't choose the 3D look option.
Is this an Excel issue or a WebI issue?
What can I do to make the graph look 3D when I export my report to Excel?

right click the graph into excel, and select 3D-rotation
and change the X angel.
it go in 3D but maybe it doesnt appear as 3D, so you may need to increase the X angel to looks more 3D
good luck

  • BO 4.0 webi: Conditional formatting on a bar graph

    Hi,
    Is it possible to fiormat a Bar graph conditionally in BO 4.0(SAP BO BI: web intelligence)..
    I want to create a bar graph that displays bar in Green color if the value of bar is greater than target set and Red if it is less than target, which is not doable with BO xi3.1 version.
    Please let me know if this can be doable with latest version of BO 4.0 webi.
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Bharath,
    One workaround in 3.1 I have found is to use a stacked bar chart and then create two variables out of the measure you want to be green if over a certain amount and make the formula:
    =[Measure Object] Where([Measure Object] >= 10,000)
    and the 2nd variable formula for red:
    =[Measure Object] Where ([Measure Object] <10,000)
    Then place these two measure variables on top of each other where the measure values go. Then go into the color palette and make a custom palette with the first two colors green and red see if that gives you what you are looking for.
    Thanks

  • BO XI3.0 - OpenDocument on WebI bar graph

    Hi:
    I'm still learning the tool -
    I have created a bar graph - the requirement is when user clicks on a bar it should open up another report with the value of the bar clicked -
    E.g. bar is for 3 values - X, Y and Z ... if user clicks on Z's bar then it will open another report with Z's data
    I can do this with links and openDocument function - but was wondering if there is a way this can be done from the graph directly without the need for any SDK.
    Any help will be much appreciated
    Thanks

    As far as I know only in XCelsius you can implement this feature using generic functionality.

  • Graph format looks awful

    Hi, everyone.
    One of my users needs to export her Webi reports to Excel. Her Webi reports include graphs.
    The problem is that it doesn't matter if the graphs are Pie Charts or Bar Charts, the looks is plain and the user complains that she would like them to look like Excel format graphs, with their gradient fill effects, because those plain colors are not nice.
    However,  in WebI I haven't been able to find an option to make the WebI graphs look like gradient colors graphs just like Excel charts.
    Is there any way to make graphs look better with gradient colors in WebI?
    I can´t find a "fill effects" option in the properties tab.

    No, this doesn't exist yet. XI 4 (not yet released) is rumored to have much better graphics presentation options.

    I want to display the above data in line stacked bar graph format where the
    #Enrolled will be in Stacked Bar by Study -Site ( Y axis)
    Planned Subject should represent a single line at 50 ( Y axis)
    Group by Year and Month ( X- Axis)
    Study excluded ( Study will be selected from dashboard prompt)
    I'm getting the stacked view of Study Site ID correctly but I want Single Line for Planned Subject .
    Currently I'm getting multiple line .
    Eg for 2001/03 I'm getting line at 50 in yellow colour
    for 2001/04 I'm getting a line at 150 in different color since it has 3 Study-Site ID's But the desired output is Single Line at 50
    As per 11g doc this is not possible because there is some upgradation in the nature of the graph
    " Stacked line-bar graphs in which 2 or more measures are shown as lines on the same axis and are not stacked in 10g are stacked in 11g."
    Refer - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/bi.1111/e16452/apndx_ui_chngs.htm
    Is there any workaround for it ?

    Did you found any workaround for it ? I am too looking for same scenerio.

  • 3D bar graph: issues using 2D Y-Z plane and timestamp

    Hi,
    I'm having issues trying to plot a multiplot 3D bar graph using view towards Y-Z plane property (3D plot properties/View direction). This makes the 3D graph basically look like 2D. Bar graph looks quite ok when it is drawn without y vector (timestamp) but as soon as the timestamp is connected it doesn't make any sense. The bars are basically thin lines plotted to a very small area. Autoscaling or manual scaling doesn't help. Attached is a small example VI with some data which gives an idea what I'm trying to accomplish and what the issue is.
    What I would like to achieve is to keep the bar width as in the case before y vector is connected to and have timestamps.
    I'll be glad if you had any suggestions that could help.
    Thanks,
    Matti

    Oooh. This is a bug for 3D Bar. The width and internal are not relative to the actual range. I filed CAR 344934.
    If you could use 3D projection, you can use value pair (also from Properties or VI Server) as a temporary workaround. Value pair can override scale with any text. Here is an example.

  • Bar graph legend problem

    Hi I am using JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0.
    My problem is that I have made a bar graph inside an af:showDetailItem but the legends isn´t shown correct. I can´t see the legends at all when I place the legends in the bottom and if I place them in the right I can see half of the text. The source code is below. • Simple Bar Graph

    What I'm trying to do is make a simple bar graph, with multiple bars of different colors and do this using an array. I create a new bar, set its size and color, and then create another bar, set its size, color and i've also moved it over 10 pixels so its not ontop of the original bar. And I'm using an array for the ractangle shap, and fillrect to fill it.
    My problem comes when I add the object to the pane ( frame.getContentPane().add(blue); )
    It only adds the last one, it doesn't add the blue bar. does getContentPane repaint the screen or something, so that the previous one doesn't show? Or am I missing something?
    Thanks for any input,

    Hi,
    I am trying to increase the width of bars in bar graph developed in 10g reports. I found your thread which says please find in my previous posting.
    I could not find. can you please enlighten me on this question
    You help will be truly appreciated.
    Thank you,

    If you are refering to bar plots, you have 3 bar styles (thin, wide but not connected, wide), accessible using the plot.barstyle property node, or directly witha right click on the legend.

  • Stacked Bar graph with multiple bars

    Hi,
    I want to have a graph where I will have multiple stacked BARs. Having single stacked bar is OK.
    Is there a way to achieve this ? I am using 11.1.1.2 ADF and ADFBC
    For Ex:
    You have
    -TV sales per month for different regions
    -DVD sales per month for different regions
    I want to have 2 stacked BARs one for TV and one for DVD. X axis will have the date ..
    Thanks

    From what i understand, i think you are looking Dual Y Bar graph.
    For more information, look into this documentation - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e12418/tagdoc/dvt_barGraph.html

  • Anychart bar graphs - Can we map colors to customer IDs in JSON/XML dynamically?

    Hi,
    We are using the Anychart bar graphs to show our customers data. We need to be able to map colors to customer IDs, so that anytime we use a bar chart a customer will aways be the same color.
    Example: if one view shows 3 customers  (cust ABC is maroon, XYZ is yellow and DXA is blue) and a second view, because of the data, shows 12 customers, that if 2 that are in the first view are also showing they would have the same colors as they did in the first view (cust ABC is still maroon and cust DXA is still blue and if XYZ is not in the second view then Yellow would not be present)
    Is there a way to map the colors to the customers in an XREF table then build the JSON or XML dynamically and use that in the graph each time?
    I have found the Anychart site and it looks like it is possible but was wondering if anyone has done it? Otherwise it looks like it is going to be to time consuming to read everything I would have to read.
    Thank you,

  • ELOCATION_MERCATOR.WORLD_MAP errors for pie/bar graph theme below zoom 5

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a map using ADF DVT map component in my jspx page. I am using 'elocation_mercator.world_map'. I am creating a pie graph theme over the base world map. For some reason whenever I zoom below 5, i get following javascript error
    [MVThemeBasedFOIControl.foiLoaded] MAPVIEWER-05523: Cannot process response from MapViewer server. (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <oms_error> MAPVIEWER-06009: Error processing an FOI request.
    Root cause:FOIServlet:null</oms_error>)
    The Pie graphs displays fine at or above zoom level 5. I tried the same thing using my local map viewer instance which has mvdemo.demo_map as the base map. The pie graph displays fine at all zoom levels using my local map. Can anybody tell me what may be the problem when I use the elocator world_map. I can't even look at the logs as it's a hosted service.

    Here are the steps to reproduce the problem
    1) Create a jspx page.
    2) From the component palette on the right hand side, select ADF Data Visualizations and then click on Map in the Geographical Map section. This will open an ADF Map configuration window.
    3) Create a new Map Configuration by providing an id and a URL connection. If you have not created a URL Connection to elocation service, create a new connection to "http://elocation.oracle.com/mapviewer" and select that connection.
    4) You will see data source as ELOCATION_MERCATOR and Base map as WORLD_MAP selected. Enter startingY="38.648911" startingX="-98.349609" , select mapZoom="5" and Click on OK.
    5) Now create an entity object and a view object based on the STATES table in the MVDEMO database and add it to an application module.
    6) Refresh the application module data control. You should a new StatesView1 data control.
    7) Drop it on the map and select Bar graph theme. This will open a Bar Graph theme configuration window for the Map.
    8) In the Name select MAP_STATES_ABBRV. In the location column select STATE_ABRV.
    9) In the Data Location Select Location as StateAbrv and Location Label as State.
    10) Enter Series Attribute as Totpop and Label as Total Population. Enter series attribute as Female and Label as Female Population. Click OK.
    11) Now Run this page.
    12) The page runs fine displaying the Bar chart. Now zoom out. You will get error
    '[MVThemeBasedFOIControl.foiLoaded] MAPVIEWER-05523: Cannot process response from MapViewer server. (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <oms_error> MAPVIEWER-06009: Error processing an FOI request.
    Root cause:FOIServlet:null</oms_error>)'
    When you say that we should use elocation for map tiles not for FOI rendering, does that mean that I should not use the themes provided by elocation. When I enter the base URL to a mapviewer instance in my map client, the base map and the themes are displayed from the database used by the mapviewer instance. So, how can I use my own mapviewer for FOI rendering? Can you please explain a little more. Thanks.

  • I need a stacked bar graph stacked but overlaying data help please

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to change an existing combination graph.
    Currently we use a combination graph that has a bar that shows the usage accross a number of weeks, with a line that shows total available over the top. So the customer can see what they have used in a week against themaximun it could be used in that week.
    Unfortunatley our customer would like this changes to a single bar graph that shows the usage and then if the total available is more than the usage (it is sometimes the same but never less) then this should be added to the bar graph to increase the bar in a different colour.
    I have looked at Reports 10g and the stacked bar graph seems perfect but this adds the two values together and not just the increase. I know i could minus one from the other but with the way my data is structured in the data model this could be a pain as they are linked via a data link in the data model and also seems a bit of a work around. Is there no way to have a overlay on the stacked graph or is there another way to achieve this that i cant see.
    Thanks

    I was able to figure it out.
    Instead of using creating the dataset using:
    CategoryDataset datasetWorkload = DatasetUtilities.createCategoryDataset()
    if a 'DefaultCategoryDataset' is used, the values to be displayed can be customised:
    DefaultCategoryDataset result = new DefaultCategoryDataset();
    result.addValue(200.0, "Allocated", "Jan 04");
    result.addValue(500.0, "Allocated", "Feb 04");
    result.addValue(10.3, "Over-Allocated", "Jan 04");
    result.addValue(16.2, "Over-Allocated", "Feb 04");
    Thanks for your time, users: wpafbuser1 and practissum.

  • 3-D bar graph?

    Is there any way to create a 3-D bar graph in LabVIEW 6.1? I have been able to create a 3-D surface graph - but we are interested in looking at our data with a bar graph. Thanks.

    I just overplotted surface graphs (one for each bar),and it worked quite
    nicely (I only had about 20 bars or so to plot, it you need many more, this
    approach may not wo
    rk).
