WebLogic 10.3 clientgen missing .java for complexType

Hi Everyone,
I am attempting to upgrade some WebLogic 8.1 code to 10.3. Part of this code base has a webservice call another webservice. In the 8.1 code base the original author used a Beehive control. Since that didn't work and it is retired I decided to use a more traditional approach using the <clientgen> ANT task. It all seems to work, but it looks like I have been shorted a few .java files. For example:
Foo_saved_wsdl.wsdl contains this snippet:
<s:element name="UpdateData">
<s:complexType>
<s:sequence>
<s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1" name="San" type="tns:SanName"/>
<s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1" name="objSanData" type="tns:SanData"/>
</s:sequence>
</s:complexType>
</s:element>
<s:simpleType name="SanName">
<s:restriction base="s:string">
<s:enumeration value="Foo1"/>
<s:enumeration value="Foo2"/>
</s:restriction>
</s:simpleType>
I was thus not surprised to see a SanName.java be generated. But...
<s:element name="THECreds" type="tns:THECreds"/>
<s:complexType name="THECreds">
<s:sequence>
<s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1" name="ConsName" type="tns:ConsName"/>
<s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="ConsKey" type="s:string"/>
<s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="MYAccount" type="s:string"/>
</s:sequence>
<s:anyAttribute/>
</s:complexType>
<s:simpleType name="ConsName">
<s:restriction base="s:string">
<s:enumeration value="Bar1"/>
<s:enumeration value="Bar2"/>
</s:restriction>
</s:simpleType>
no ConsName.java was generated. Is there something special one must do since THECreds is a complexType?

-Randy

Hi Again,
My question did not supply a complete picture. In the 8.1 code base I can see the developer created a Java String object that contained a SOAP Header element like so...
<SOAP-ENV:Header
xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<tns:THECreds xmlns:tns="http://tempuri.org/WXYZ/ABCServices">
<tns:ConsName xmlns:tns="http://tempuri.org/WXYZ/ABCServices">
ConsNameData
</tns:ConsName>
<tns:ConsKey xmlns:tns="http://tempuri.org/WXYZ/ABCServices">
ConsKeyData
</tns:ConsKey>
<tns:MYAccount xmlns:tns="http://tempuri.org/WXYZ/ABCServices">
AccountData
</tns:MYAccount>
</tns:THECreds>
</SOAP-ENV:Header>
When I call the webservice now I can see the XML going across the wire has an empty Header element. Thus even if I could get <clientgen> to create ConsName.java file I will still need the results to land in the SOAP Header element. Any comments on manipulating the Header element moi bien!

  • I uninstalled Java get this messag - Missing JAVA? For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version.

    I am using Windows 7 premium 64-bit. I have uninstalled Java completely through Windows program manager. There is no Java in my list of plugins. Every time I update my plugins I get the following message - "Missing JAVA? For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version." I cannot find Java anywhere on my computer. Checked every troubleshooting website I can find but there seems to be no solution.

    hello, is this happening on the plugin-check page - https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ ?
    if so, you can probably safely dismiss this warning since it's likely a mistake. when java isn't present, the site will give that warning message though a webpage cannot detect if this because of java being blocked or if it isn't even installed on the system.

  • XMLBeans build aborted for project ...project was missing Java nature.

    I always get this project level error in an OSB Project in Workshop whenever I add XMLSchema resources to the project and try to create XQuery Transformation resources. The project is then unusable and may not be deployed to OSB. I have tried adding the Apache XMLBeans and Java 6.0 facets, but that does not eliminate the problem. I can delete the project, create a new project, and copy all of the files from the old project to the new project but, as soon as I attempt to edit the XQuery Transformation, the error returns. The OSB Project in Workshop is, essentially, unusable if you want to add XQuery resources to your project. An OSB project without XQuery resources is just a Webservice, so using OSB isn't necessary. The only thing we have found that works it to edit the project in the OSB console.
    The full error string in the Problems View is:
    XMLBeans build aborted for project XXX because project was missing Java nature.
    Any workarounds? Solutions? Configuration changes?

    This is a strange error, because OSB projects do not use facets/natures/builders provided by Eclipse for any resources within the project. OSB has its own mechanism for validation on OSB Projects, so it's surprising to see any error messages from an XMLBeans builder relating to the Java nature.
    Can you look at the OSB Project's properties and see if there are any facets/natures/builders/validators on the project?
    The only builders should be:
    - Faceted Project Validation Builder
    - Validation
    The only facets should be:
    - AquaLogic Core Facet
    - Oracle Service Bus
    The following Validators should be disabled:
    - WSDL Validator
    - XML Schema Validator

  • Uow registerObject: Missing descriptor for java.lang.Integer

    I get this message on uow.registerObject
    Missing descriptor for java.lang.Integer.
    Any help greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Vivek

    Are you trying to register an Integer with the UOW? You don't have to register primitives. Odds are you're not doing this, but this exception will still be thrown if you have accidentally mapped a DTF as a 1-1 (i.e, if an Order has a price that is an Integer and you accidentally have it as a 1-1 mapping). Or, if you have a 1-M relationship and an Integer gets into the collection. Etc.
    In a nutshell, this error is saying that somehow you have an Integer where TopLink is expecting some sort of business class mapped.

  • Been out of Java for 3 months, what did I miss?

    Hey I stopped doing Java for a couple of months, and I plan to get back in it, im gonna buy a book soon, what do you guys think I should focus on when Im looking? Has anything big come up in Java Game design recently?

    Also, I plan to start doing some multiplayer games now
    as opposed to my old create an AI and the human goes
    against the computer style, what should I know about
    doing multiplayer stuff, and where can I find info?I hate to give a flippant answer, but the best things to do are...
    a) search/browse these very forums (and read the posts); just because people haven't responded to a topic doesn't mean there's nothing useful in them. In the past two, three weeks, we've discussed topics ranging from synchronizing maps to message passing to security, that is, preventing people from hacking the clients to cheat.
    b) don't worry about what you have to know and instead, think of some ideas for games that YOU would enjoy playing. Once you have a rough sketch in place for what you'd like do to, then, and this is crucial, think of ways you might be able to exploit it.
    For example, if you create a multiplayer RPG, one of the obvious ways to exploit it is to allow the players to create their own characters, roll their own dice and so on. There are dozens of solutions that may work, but only you can decide which ones best fit your ideas.
    When you have a specific question like "I need to do this and that and these create latency. How can I prevent that?" then we are here and happy to help. :)

  • WebLogic 10 and EJB 3.0 for Message Driven Bean

    Hi,
    I am trying to deploy Message Driven Bean using EJB3.0 on weblogic 10. I am using annotations and don't want to use deployment descriptors.
    The Bean class:
    CalculatorBean.java
    import javax.ejb.*;
    import javax.jms.*;
    import java.sql.Timestamp;
    import java.util.StringTokenizer;
    @MessageDriven(activationConfig =
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName="destinationType",
    propertyValue="javax.jms.Queue"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName="destination",
    propertyValue="queue/mdb")
    public class CalculatorBean implements MessageListener {
    public void onMessage (Message msg) {
    TextMessage tmsg=null;
    try {
    if (msg instanceof TextMessage) {
    tmsg = (TextMessage) msg;
    System.out.println
    ("MESSAGE BEAN1: Message received: "
    + tmsg.getText());
    } else {
    System.out.println
    ("Message of wrong type1: "
    + msg.getClass().getName());
    catch (JMSException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    catch (Throwable te) {
    te.printStackTrace();
    My client:
    import javax.naming.*;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import java.text.*;
    import javax.jms.*;
    public class MsgClient {
    public static void main(String args[])
    QueueConnection cnn=null;
    QueueSender sender=null;
    QueueSession sess=null;
    Queue queue=null;
    try {
    java.util.Properties p = new java.util.Properties();
    p.put("java.naming.factory.initial","weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
    p.put("java.naming.provider.url","t3://10.6.74.79:7001");
    Context ctx=new InitialContext(p);
    //InitialContext ctx=new InitialContext(p);
    queue = (Queue)ctx.lookup("queue/mdb");
    QueueConnectionFactory factory = (QueueConnectionFactory)ctx.lookup("ConnectionFactory");
    cnn = factory.createQueueConnection();
    sess= cnn.createQueueSession(false, QueueSession.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    sender = sess.createSender(queue);
    TextMessage message = sess.createTextMessage();
    message.setText("This is message by Gurumurthy" );
    System.out.println("Sending message: " +message.getText());
    sender.send(message);
    sess.close();
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    I am compiling and creating jar file for this class. Then I am creating a .ear file for this.
    The meta-inf/application.xml contains the following:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <application xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" version="1.4"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com /xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/application_1_4.xsd">
    <display-name>MDBWorking1</display-name>
    <description>Application description</description>
    <module>
    <ejb>MDBWorking1.jar</ejb>
    </module>
    </application>
    I don't want to use deployment descriptor (ejb-jar.xml or weblogic-ejb-jar-xml), because I want to utilize the annotation feature of EJB3.0
    So, after creating the .ear file for this, and try to deploy on weblogic 10, I get the following error:
    An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
    Exception preparing module: EJBModule(MDBWorking1.jar) Unable to deploy EJB: CalculatorBean from MDBWorking1.jar: [EJB:011113]Error: The Message Driven Bean 'CalculatorBean(Application: MDBWorking1, EJBComponent: MDBWorking1.jar)', does not have a message destination configured. The message destination must be set using a message-destination-link, destination-resource-link, destination-jndi-name or a resource-adapter-jndi-name.
    Substituted for missing class [EJB - 11113]Error: The Message Driven Bean 'CalculatorBean(Application: MDBWorking1, EJBComponent: MDBWorking1.jar)', does not have a message destination configured. The message destination must be set using a message-destination-link, destination-resource-link, destination-jndi-name or a resource-adapter-jndi-name.
    How to solve this?
    Note:
    I don't want to use Deployment Descriptor and all I want to use is EJB3.0's annotation feature.
    Thanks,
    Guru

    Dear gurubbc,
    I don't know if it still matters to you but you can use the javax.ejb.MessageDriven annotation to point your bean on your queue. I had the same issue like you but i could not solve it properly by switchihg to weblogic.ejb.MessageDriven.
    Use the following annotation and it should work out:
    @MessageDriven
    (mappedName = "queue/mdb",
    name = "CalculatorBean",
    activationConfig = {
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue")
    Here you can see that the mappedName is the JNDI name of the queue you are trying to connect to. The name is the name for your Bean, and the only property passed is the destination type.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Istvan

    For a local entity bean, i was using <ejb-ref> instead of <local-ejb-ref>
    Once i changed that, it worlked.

  • Installing "Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 6" (1.0) causing problems

    Hi,
    I installed the "Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 6" (1.0)" yesterday evening and it caused problems:
    - network
    - date/time screwed up
    - Time Machine crashed
    My environment is a MacBook Pro, running 10.5.8, all latest patches applied. During the install all other applications were closed (my once in three months cleanup of the desktop , Time Machine was not running although it might have kicked in during the download, I left it alone for install and the necessary reboot. I didn't hook it up to the power, had 82% battery left, afterwards (after all repairs) still 76%, so my guess is that is not the root cause, although I did get the power source warning and waved it away during the installs.
    Looking back into the logfiles and using some gut-feeling I do think somehow the date/time seeting was screwed up and caused all other problems. The date was reset to the famous Unix starttime, Jan 1, 1970. At first I didn't notice, only after my network (Airport Extreme based) asked me WPA password and then complained about the date/time I noticed something weird.
    After resetting date/time, verifying the disk for problems (none found), re-entering the WPA password, network ran again, had to re-connect with the Time Capsule and check the sparse backup-volume there before I got everything up-and-running again.
    Not a very big deal, but annoying, and certainly something wrong in the update here.
    Anyone any explains ?
    Regards,
    Wim.

    Sorry if I missed it...have you scoured logs for anything that might shed light on success/fail during the install?

    Hi,
    For WLS version 9.2 there is a Fix Available for the same issue : CR309671 Please contact Oracle support to get the Patch (CR309671).
    After BEA/Oracle integration the Patch Naming convention is changed so to get the TAR version of the Patch Number u need to contact Oracle Support.
    Thanks

  • TopLink to EclipseLink migration - Missing class for indicator field value

    I am migrating Toplink 11g to EclipseLink 12.1.3.  I have EclipseLink.jar to the classpath. I have few mapping xml files. When executing the application, i am getting following error.
    Exception [EclipseLink-9005] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.5.2.v20140319-9ad6abd): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.SessionLoaderException
    Exception Description: An exception was thrown while loading the project-xml file [META-INF/Business.xml].
    Internal Exception: Exception [EclipseLink-43] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.5.2.v20140319-9ad6abd): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DescriptorException
    Exception Description: Missing class for indicator field value [toplink:object-type-mapping] of type [class java.lang.String].
    Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(org.eclipse.persistence.mappings.DatabaseMapping --> [DatabaseTable(attribute-mapping)]).
    How to resolve this.

    Ooooops, sorry, guys!
    I was using TopLink 10.1.3.0 JARs to run a project created via TopLink 10.1.3.1 Workbench. That was the reason for the exception.
    I ran across the REAL problem, however. The one that was occurring when I created the TopLink project via JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 and ran it via JDeveloper 10.1.3.1. That's why I decided to try with TopLink 10.1.3.1 Workbench instead of JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.
    I will report the problem in a clean separate post.

  • Missing translations for Italian and French

    Hello Experts, I have successfully installed a ECC 6.0 server-ABAP +JAVA system (DB2 v9.5 FP4 windows server 2008-x64 bit). Kernel: 700 , Patch: 185 ; SP level : rel 700 , level 17. I have created 3 clients : 100, 700, 701
    I have installed 2 languages apart from default ones -- Italian and french.
    My issue is there are missing translations for few transactions when i log in italian and french and this problem is only with client 100(clients 700, 701 have no missing translation issue).
    For example, if i log in to client 100 in Italian or French and go to t-code FS00, the Tabs(Type/descripton,control data,Create/bank interest , Key word/translation, Informamtion (C/A)  ) are displayed in english instead of italian or french.
    I have already followed Note 1156507 - Language supplementation, RSREFILL and client maintenance.Still facing the same issue.Requesting expert help.

    Hi ,
    Refer sap note 1159021-in client 100, 518950-efforts to translet the language.
    You can run client maintainance again in client 100 and check.
    let us know, further.
    Thanks

  • Missing mapping for field error

    Here is the set up:
    Person extends Party using InheritanceType.JOINED
    Household extends Party_Relationship using InheritanceType.JOINED
    Household has a Set of Persons mapped One to Many unidirectional
    When I use PrimaryKeyJoinColumn on the Person and/or Household to rename the column say to PERSON_POID instead of PARTY_POID and when adding Persons to the Household Set the following error occurs:
    oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.DescriptorException
    Exception Description: Missing mapping for field [PERSON.PARTY_POID].
    Descriptor: RelationalDescriptor(com.dhsnet.cms.domain.Person --> [DatabaseTable(PARTY), DatabaseTable(PERSON)])
    What am I missing? If I do not use the PrimaryKeyJoinColumn mapping this error does not occur. I am stumped! Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Here are the mappings:
    @Entity
    @TableGenerator(name="party", table="generator", pkColumnName="table_name",
    valueColumnName="key_value", pkColumnValue="party", allocationSize=1)
    @Table(name="PARTY")
    @Inheritance(strategy=InheritanceType.JOINED)
    @DiscriminatorColumn(name = "PARTY_TYPE")
    public abstract class Party extends AbstractEntity{
    @Entity
    @DiscriminatorValue("PERSON")
    @PrimaryKeyJoinColumn(name="PERSON_POID")
    public class Person extends Party{
    @Entity
    @Table(name="PARTY_RELATIONSHIP")
    @TableGenerator(name="party_relationship", table="generator", pkColumnName="table_name",
    valueColumnName="key_value", pkColumnValue="party_relationship", allocationSize=1)
    @Inheritance(strategy = InheritanceType.JOINED)
    @DiscriminatorColumn(name = "PARTY_RELATIONSHIP_TYPE", discriminatorType=DiscriminatorType.STRING)
    public abstract class PartyRelationship extends AbstractEntity {
    @Entity
    @DiscriminatorValue(value="HOUSEHOLD")
    @PrimaryKeyJoinColumn(name="HOUSEHOLD_POID")
    public class Household extends PartyRelationship {
    On the Household Object:
    @OneToMany
    @JoinTable(joinColumns = @JoinColumn(name="HOUSEHOLD_POID"),
    inverseJoinColumns = @JoinColumn(name="PERSON_POID"))
    protected Set<Person> getMembers() {
    return members;
    }

    This looks to be the same/related issue that has already been entered. See
    https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1586
    The alternative like you mentioned, is to not use a PrimaryKeyJoinColumn to rename the column in the joined inheritance case.
    Cheers,
    Guy

  • Missing Descritpor for One to One Mapping

    Hi,
    I have a one to one mapping from an Object A to Object B. When I execute the code, I get an exception as given below. Has any one encountered the same problem ?

    Looks like you've mapped from ObjectA to ObjectB but accidentally set the target class to be ValueHolder. Except for the checkbox in the Mapping Workbench, you shouldn't need to specify ValueHolder in any of your mappings.

    Hi,
    As you are using WLS8.1 It means your JDK will be JDK1.4 and there is a Bug already available with JDK1.4 for the Same issue ... Please find the below link:
    http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;:YfiG?bug_id=4705373 (For Sun JDK1.4)
    AND
    http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6373059 (For Sun JDK 1.5.0_05)
    Please try to switch to JRockit JDK.
    Thanks
