Weblogic 10mp2 - jrockit 1.5_15 64 bits?

Hello,
We are installing weblogic 10 mp2 in a 64 bit linux environment. Although jrockit version that comes with the package is 32bits.
We have tried searching for a 64bit version from the oracle site to no avail.
Anyone knows if there is a 64bit version of jrockit?
Thanks in advance

There is a special forum just for JRockit issues:
JRockit
I would try there as the JRockit engineers monitor that one.

  • Unable to start weblogic with JRockit

i am using a 32 bit machine to start weblogic server on JRockit JVM. Doing this in order to have already installed Oracle SOA suite and when I start weblogic using JRockit it is Running out of memory. Tried the solutions given in the forum but not able to resolve this issue.
Also when using jdk getting permgen error. Tried with resetting the maxPermSize value etc in the startweblogic server but not able to do so.
For JRockit OOM has any one faced a similar issue?
Can any one help me with same ?

Thanks Carlos. The value was getting overridden in startweblogic.cmd for Sun jdk but was not sufficient for my problem as I was using Jrockit and with JRockit there is no Permsize issue inturn there was OOM.
    I followed these steps:
    1. changed maxpermsize in startweblogic.
    2. Tried increasing system swap space.
    3. Used a profiler which controls JVM running, tried reduce memory leaks, but none worked.
I switched to JRockit for weblogic
    1. tried increasing memory etc. Finally I switched to 64 bit machine as suggested in one of the forums for JRockit oom.
Now both jdk and JRockit weblogic with all SOA components working successfully.

  • Where to download Tuxedo 10gR3 and Weblogic 10.3.1 for 64-bit Win2K3 ?

    Folks,
    Hello. I am installing PeopleTools 8.50 in 64-bit Windows Server 2003 .
PeopleTools 8.50 is certified on 64-bit OS and requires Tuxedo 10gR3 and Weblogic 10.3.1.
In http://edelivery.oracle.com PeopleTools 8.50 package, there are only 3 files for Windows as follows:
    1) Tuxedo 10gR3 for MS Windows Server 2003 32-bit (V15053-01)
    2) Weblogic 10.3.1 for MS Windows 32-bit (V16992-01)
    3) Weblogic 10.3.1 Generic (V17003-01)
As I know, Tuxedo 10gR3 and Weblogic 10.3.1 do support 64-bit Windows Server 2003. But I cannot find any website to download Tuxedo 10gR3 and Weblogic 10.3.1 for my 64-bit Windows Server 2003.
Can any folks provide a link to download Tuxedo 10gR3 and Weblogic 10.3.1 for 64-bit Windows Server 2003 ?

Take the software under Peopletools 8.50 package for your plateform, they are certified with that one.

  • Weblogic server for Windows 7 64 bit operating system

    Hi,
I have installed Personal Oracle 11g on my laptop. Next, I would like to install the weblogic server and then the Fusion middle ware. My goal is to have Oracle Forms, reports and discoverer running on the laptop. I dont see Weblogic server 64 bit for windows in the oracle product matrix. Can anyone suggest where I can get weblogic server for Winfows 7 64 bit machine?
    Thanks,
    RV

    Hi,
Oracle WebLogic Server Downloads can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
I believe Oracle WebLogic Server is not certified yet on Windows 7 64-bit, and this explains why you cannot find installation files to download. More details about the product certification can be found at:
    Oracle Certification Matrix

  • How to install and configure WebLogic 10.3 to use 64-bit JDK?

    Hi,
Is there a preferred/supported way to configure WebLogic to use the 64-bit JRockit that comes with JRockit Mission Control?
I can't find any official documentation about how to configure WebLogic to use a 64-bit JDK. From other forum posts I can tell we need to use the 64-bit JRockit that is bundled with JRockit Mission Control (available at [http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jrockit/index.html]) but then we are kind of stuck - the configure script which let me select a JDK for a domain doesn't seem to let me re-configure an existing domain, and I can't find anything within the admin console that would let me set the JDK to use.
I was able to rename the existing jrockit_160_05 directory to e.g. jrockit_160_05_original and then rename the jrmc directory to "jrockit_160_05", effectively taking the place of the JDK being used but this seemed like a bad way to do it. I also found via Google this page: [http://java.sodeso.nl/application-servers/bea-weblogic/how-can-i-change-the-jdk-installation-that-weblogic-uses] which basically says to modify the JAVA_HOME environment variable in the start scripts, but this seems like the same thing.
With the plethora of products and the different ways they are bundled, combined with all the documentation about everything, I thought I would find something but I keep coming up blank. Does anyone have suggestions or pointers?
    Thanks,
    KaJun

Make sure your environment configuration is supported here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/fusion_certification.html
Then, you need to have the correct 64bit JDK installed. Sounds like you have done that.
Then download and run the generic platform installer as described here with your 64bit supported JDK:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/doc.1111/e14142/start.htm#i1077535
Notice how the link you post has the generic installer for all the 64bit JVM rows, but the other installer for the 32bit JVMs on the 64bit OS?

    Two issues now
    1) How do I get rid of weblogic from my machine manually so that I can do fresh install of 10.3.5?
    2) How do I confirm if it is completely removed because after doing the complete SOA suite installation process, JDeveloper throws me errors that it is not compatible with 10.3.6
Appreciate your help in this regard

    Hi
I am glad your original issue is resolved. For this new SOA installation, you can post a new thread and preferably in SOA Forums and not here in WLS Forums for quicker response: SOA Suite
    1. To begin with, looks like you have a 64 bit machine, so I would recommend first to install 64 bit JDK. Then install Weblogic using weblogic generic installer (.jar). This means if you already have WLS installed using .exe, you may have to delete that and start over.
    2. Worst case even if you want to continue as it is (32 bit), the location of java is kind of not ok having a space in one of the folder names like "Program Files". And is this java installed by you or did it came with machine and if so. If came with machine it will be older version.
I would recommend, uninstall existing JDK and install fresh latest JDK in a path something like shown below that do not have any spaces:
    1. C:\Oracle\Java\jdk1.6.0_24_64Bit = Will have JDK 64 bit
    2. C:\Oracle\Middleware116BPM = Will have WLS 10.3.6. Here you install SOA later on
    3. C:\Oracle\Middleware\Jdeveloper116 = Will have JDeveloper 11.6 installed here.
Now, coming to your actual installation error, do NOT use this command "setup -jreLoc %JAVA_HOME%". Instead just double click on Setup.exe or open a dos window, navigate to that folder and just type setup.exe. The point is do not give -jreLoc. NOW it will prompt to enter full JDK Path. Here you carefuly type full jdk path something like this "C:\Oracle\Java\jdk1.6.0_24_32Bit" (this is on my side...). It should work now.
Caution. While installing any oracle software do not use folder names with spaces. Like c:\Program Files\ etc. Spaces in folder names may be an issue. So avoid that.
Since you are starting all this fresh, I would recommend doing it in the right and correct way to avoid any future issues. It may take few hours of extra time that is totally worth.

  • Weblogic and Jrockit

    Hi All,
Please help me with the following query.
    Environment
    BI 4.1 SP02 FP03
    OS :- Windows 2008
Application Server :- Weblogic 11 (installed on Windows) using Jrockit
    Issue
We are in the process of deploying war files on Weblogic. I have set the jvm_is_jrockit=true in config.weblogic11. But when I execute the "wedeploy weblogic11 predeployall" I get the following message.
    "does_weblogic_use_jrockit:
    refine_file_layout_for_jrockit is false"
Everything works fine on the weblogic end. Is this an issue or am I missing out any configuration which needs to be done for using jrockit with weblogic?
    Regards
    Chinmaya

I was able to figure this out. For using jrockit as jvm we need change "jvm_is_jrockit=true" found in  <Install Dir>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\wdeploy\conf\weblogic11.conf"
    1. You will see "refine_file_layout_for_jrockit is false" for all applications except dswsbobje.
    2. It will generate a ear file for BOE application. (Note :- It creates a war file if jrockit parameter is set to false).
    Thanks
    Chinmaya

  • Weblogic 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit

It appears that Weblogic 11g for windows only comes in 32 bit and can run ok on 64 bit. I have 24 Gb of memory on the server and my question is will forms and reports user sessions be able to access all the memory? Or since Weblogic is 32 bit, will any forms and reports sessions be restricted to the first 3Gb of memory?
    Edited by: user1065650 on Apr 3, 2012 2:21 PM

    Hi
Weblogic 11g does come both for 32 Bit and 64 Bit for both Windows and Unix OS. Its just that for 64 Bit OS, for Windows, you need to download WLS Generic Installer (.jar extension) and follow the steps.
See this link and another post in this link for more details:
required weblogic 10.3.5 instllable for windows server 2008(64bit)
If you download and run .exe installer, yes it is 32 Bit. But for 64 bit machines, download .jar installer.
    Thanks

  • Weblogic 10, JRockit 1.5, Xverbose:exceptions=trace

When I start my instance of Weblogic with the -Xverbose:exceptions=trace option, the log gets to over 1GB before the Weblogic instance is even finished starting up. I looked at the logs and most of the exception stack traces are coming from JRockit or Weblogic themselves - not the code I'm trying to run.
Is there a way to filter the output from -Xverbose:exceptions - like with a log4j.properties type file or some such? I looked around and haven't been able to find any information on this. Again, we're talking Weblogic 10.1 and jrockit-jdk1.5.0_15_32

  • Oracle WebLogic Server Development Prebuilt VM: 64 bit or 32 bit?

    Hi,
This is a question regarding "Oracle WebLogic Server Development" Prebuilt Virtualbox VM available for download here - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/weblogic-developer-vm-303434.html . Its description simply mentions that it has Oracle Linux 5.5 as the guest OS, but does not indicate what type of guest processor - 64-bit or 32-bit. Can someone who has tried it out please check this out and confirm?
    Thanks!

Downloaded and got it running - it is 32-bit Linux.

  • Weblogic on JRockit

    hi all:
is there any information out about running weblogic on the JRockit JVM? What
I am most interested in is if anyone knows about stability issues -
performance, I would venture to guess, would only benefit :)
    Thanks,

I don't think we certified this JVM.
Check out our platform support page.

  • Which version of Workshop to use with WebLogic Server 10.0 for 64-bit Linux

I've downloaded and installed the 64-bit version of WebLogic Server for Linux. It is running on a 64-bit Xeon RHEL 5 machine with 64-bit Sun JVM.
During the install, I selected WebLogic Server and Weblogic Workshop but it appears that Workshop was not installed. Apparently, only the Runtime for Workshop was installed. I'm not really sure what good that does for me.
We need to use the Workshop IDE to develop apps. Is there a 10.0 version of Workshop for 64-bit Linux?

    Hi Anup,
Maybe you should be a bit more specific about what you want to do. Coherence is just Java and has been supported WebLogic for years in the same way most other third-party Java libraries and APIs are. I first started using Coherence about four or five years ago with WebLogic 8.

We are planning to migrate our db2 udb instance to V8.2 64 bit on SunOS. Currently we are on DB2 V81 32 bit using weblogic. We'd like to know what are the Weblogic Versions that are certified by BEA to support on db2 udb V8.2 32 and 64 bit instances on SunOS. And how to get weblogic to talk to Db2 UDB V8.2 64 bit instances?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
