WebLogic 8.1 support for JSP includes using XML formatting

Hi,
          I have a web application I'm trying to deploy to WebLogic 8.1 which uses JSP includes.
          My JSP page starts with :
          < ?xml version="1.0"?>
          At runtime, I get this exception:
          java.io.IOException: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: The taglib validator rejected the page:
          "org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed., "
          Are XML formatted JSP includes supported ?
          Thank you
          John

I got a similar exception which was:
          java.io.IOException: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: The taglib validator rejected the page: "org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Attribute "xmlns:html" was already specified for element "jsp:root"., "
          This is how I fixed it:
          The taglib for the html was declared twice. Once in the main.jsp and once in taglibs.jsp. The taglibs.jsp was included in main.jsp (The jsp which was throwing exception)
          Hope this works for your case.
          Thanks
          -AKJ

    Log Message:
    Add support for <destination-include directory-path="mydir"/>.
    This will process each file ending in ".xml" as an individual <destination-include file-path=""/> element, allowing a web application to define a directory of destination configuration snippets.
    Added a new API to ConfigurationFileResolver.java: getFiles(String dir).
    This returns a list of XML files contained in this directory relative to the current configuration file.
    Updated both the ServletResourceResolver and the LocalFileResolver with implementations.

  • Session-scope variable for JSP page used in a frame

    Hi,
    I don't know if there's a way to do this at the same time:
    (1)- assign session scope to a variable (in order to be able to retrieve recurrently the previous value each time the JSP is called);
    (2)- set its visibility in a way that it could be accessed only by the page that defines it. The JSP is used in a frameset along with an other JSP that can potentially define identical session-scoped variable (You understand why I want to keep them separate)
    session.setAttribute():
    seems not to be the thing I need
    pageContext.setAttribute():
    with SESSION_SCOPE, it behaves the same way as session.setAttribute(). with PAGE_SCOPE, condition (1) can't be satisfied.
    Does anybody have an idea ?
    Thanx in advance.

    I can see that you will not want to maintain two different files for every possible page on the site!
    It may be possible to do something like <frameset rows="*" cols="50%,*">
      <frame name="content1" src="file.jsp?frame=one" >
      <frame name="content2" src="file.jsp?frame=two" >
    </frameset>and then in the jsp<%
    String frame=request.getParameter("frame");
    session.setAttribute(frame+"AttributeName",attributeValue);
    %>This will set up two session attributes - "oneAttributeName" and "twoAttributeName". Depending on how many variables you have, this may prove just as difficult to maintain.
    You may end up having to simply pass url parameters between pages to maintain state within the individual frames, which is far from elegant also.
    I am interested in how you end up solving this one.

  • Flex/ActionScript3 support for web services using WS-Security

    Does Flex/ActionScript3 have support for connecting to a web
    service using WS-Security (Policy Creation). I've tried using the
    Flex Data Service "Import WSDL" method and it does not allow me to
    connect. Is there Flex/AS3 package that can handle creating the
    Policy information for a web service that utilizies WS-Security?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    quote:

    Yes and no. The "Import WSDL" doesn't create AS3 classes that
    allow header injection of the appropriate WS-Security elements.
    I've managed to work around this using straight mx:webservice tags
    and AS3. There is an open bug at
    https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-15398
    that I voted on, the more the merrier.
    http://www.jroller.com/wookets/entry/ws_security_in_flex
    Has a useful class for creating the soap header elements for a
    username token,
    In general though, it's been a challenge to get the simplest
    of WS-Security pieces working.

  • Camera Raw support for Nikon D810, using Photoshop CS 5.1

    I know the last update supported the D800 - can we please get support for the D810 on Photoshop CS 5.1 (version 12.1 x64)?

    Current Version means whatever Adobe is selling and therefore supporting at the time the camera is released.  Right now, that would be PS-C6, PS-CC, PS-CC 2014, and Lightroom 5, and maybe Elements 12, although sometimes the last update of the summer doesn’t get to Elements at all.

    Hello,
    I struggled through and got the examples.security.jaas.SampleCallbackHandler.java and examples.common.utils.ExampleUtils.java/ExampleConstants.java into eclipse where they compile. A bean I made can call SambleCallbackHandler like such:

It does seem to correctly identlify that it is authenticating me (I see in stdout logs that it shows success or failures. The problem I have is I do not know how to apply this weblogic and web.xml/weblogic.xml so that if authentication works it redirects me to the page requiring the authentication. In web.xml I have the following set up:
    <security-role>
         <role-name>Admins</role-name>
    </security-role>
    <login-config>
         <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
         <realm-name>default</realm-name>
         <form-login-config>
              <form-login-page>/login.jsp</form-login-page>
              <form-error-page>/badlogin.html</form-error-page>
         </form-login-config>
    </login-config>
    <security-constraint>
         <web-resource-collection>
              <web-resource-name>empower</web-resource-name>
              <description>These pages are only accessible by authorized users.</description>
              <url-pattern>/admin/*</url-pattern>
              <http-method>GET</http-method>
              <http-method>POST</http-method>
         </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <description>These are the roles who have access</description>
    <role-name>Administrators</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
         <user-data-constraint>
         <description>This is how the user data must be transmitted</description>
         <transport-guarantee>NONE</transport-guarantee>
         </user-data-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    My weblogic.xml has:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <wls:weblogic-web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:wls="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90 http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90/weblogic-web-app.xsd">
    <wls:security-role-assignment>
    <wls:role-name>Admins</wls:role-name>
    <wls:principal-name>Administrators</wls:principal-name>
    <wls:principal-name>dashap</wls:principal-name>
    </wls:security-role-assignment>
    </wls:weblogic-web-app>
    With this set up, if I try to go to a page in /admin folder in my application, it correctly pops up the login page. The jaas in the bean is doing a loginContext.login(), which I thought does authentication too, but it never goes back to the /admin page I was going to that needed the authentication. With jaas, can I not use the web.xml FORM security option? Do I Need to use j_security in the login.jsp's form's action= option and j_username and j_password for the input type names? How do I use j_username/j_password things if I am using jaas? I could just ignore using the web.xml security stuff and put something in the pages that need authentication, but it would be easier if I could use jaas with the security featurs without doing all that. Note that my code above is using a realm called default just because that was what was in the example I got from the web. Does that need to be something else?

    Hi John,
    I would like magic of course. However, in this case I want something special: my authentication provider uses special means and contents of headers, cookies and service from external identity management systems to determine the user's identity.
    I do not want the application to present the login dialog! I want to derive the identity and the fact that the user is logged in from whatever the authentication provider returns in terms of Subject.
    Ideally, the flow is something like:
    - user accesses an unprotected resource - resource is shown, no interaction with authentication provider
    - user presses a link or button that takes him/her to a protected resource
    - the authentication provider is contacted to work with the identity asserter to establish the identity of the current user and create a subject object for this user
    - the application can access the subject and principals
    - ADF Security recognizes the identity and the roles (based on the principals) and coordinates access based on this.
    the authentication method is client certificate. presumably this prompts WebLogic/OPS to use an identity asserter to work with custom headers and cookies ("... when you configure a web application to use CLIENT-CERT authentication. In this case, WebLogic can perform identity assertion based on values from request headers and cookies. If the header name or cookie name matches the active token type for the provider, the value is passed to the provider."). No login form should be presented to the user, as all information required to perform the authentication is already available.
    I am trying to understand what I must do to have the ADF application adopt the subject set by the authentication provider - if anything?!
    If you more ideas to share - I would love to hear them.
    best regards,
    Lucas

  • Designing the structure of jsp pages using xml

    how can i design the structure of the jsp using xml file?

    The structure of the JSP? I don't know what that means. Perhaps you can explain why you thought using XML for that would be a good idea, that might help us comprehend the question.

    I don't know what the OP want's to do. Maybe he
    want's to write a application which replaces some
    html tags in JSP files.
    His post can also be interpreted that he want's to
    use JavaScript (DOM)) to find any particular tag.Hello,
    my problem is in our application some programmers have written hardcode in <intput tag> like <input type name ="hardcode" instead taking values from database dictonary.

  • Excel Output for Standard Reports using XML Publisher

    Hi All,
    Customer wants to get Excel Output for the existing Standard/Custom Reports using XML Publisher. I followed the following procedure.
    1. Changed the output to XML for Concurrent program ( Trial Balance - Detail )
    2. Used the Existing seeded Template
    3. Ran the Report using EXCEL as the output.
    When I clicked on View Output, I am not able to see the Excel output. I am seeing the HTML tags in the output window. Verified that Viewer Options existed for Excel as follows:
    File Format=Excel, Mime Type=application/vnd.ms-excel.
    When I ran the report with PDF output. I can see the PDF output.
    Ran the HTML output with new Viewer Option ( File Format=HTML, Mime Type=application/vnd.ms-excel) then I can see the output in Browser in the Excel format. I did this test after going through the Metalink Note: Note:316752.1
    My question is.. Do I need always choose the HTML ouput in the options window to trigger the Viewer option for HTML. Customer may not like this idea. He would like to choose the Excel Output and see the output in Excel format either in the Browser or Microsoft Excel.
    Can someone in this situation before help me out.
    Thanks,
    V

    Questions rephrase:
    1. Is the output is same for HTML and Excel options ?
    2. Why the output is viewable with HTML option and not with Excel option ?
    Customer has XML Publisher Version 5.0.1 and in the process of applying 5.6.1
    Thanks,
    V

  • FILE model support for CSV and fixed-length format!!

    Hi all,
    As I'm working on a data conversation project, we are in the middel to design whether the extraction for the data source should be in CSV or fixed-length. Here is the pros and cons:
    CSV:
    1. There are a lot of remarks field in the data which are all free text. It's really hard to define the record delimiter.
    2. Extracted file size for CSV is relatively small compare with fixed-length.
    fixed-length:
    Even for fixed length, we can either
    1. Extract the file without an separator/delimiter (1 row) with fixed column length
    2. Extract the file with fixed column length per record and define the record delimiter to separarter the record.
    I'd try all the above formats and it seems ODI is more prefer on CSV or combined mode (fixed column length) as:
    1. The LKM (file to external table) need to be customzised to handle the file format which without any separator/delimiter
    2. It is very hard to reverse the column definition for fixed-length (no delimiter)
    Any suggestion?
    Tao

    You can transform your files to an xml format using respective tags:
    eg:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <MONEY>
    <MoneyID>MoneyID0</MoneyID>
    <ContractID>ContractID0</ContractID>
    <EffectiveDate>2006-05-04T18:13:51.0Z</EffectiveDate>
    <MessageDate>2006-05-04T18:13:51.0Z</MessageDate>
    <ReversalIndicator>false</ReversalIndicator>
    <PriorMoneyID>PriorMoney, something "ID0" for life;</PriorMoneyID>
    <Amount>0</Amount>
    <MoneyType>0</MoneyType>
    <ExchangeDetails>
    <CostBasis>0</CostBasis>
    <ExchangeType>0</ExchangeType>
    <MEC>false</MEC>
    <LoanAmount>0</LoanAmount>
    </ExchangeDetails>
    </MONEY>
    So, as you see, you can embed any symbol in a tag.
    After creating this xml file, you can use XML technology in Topology Manager to map to this file and then create a data store based on this technology.
    And you will be able to retrieve the data in this file under respective column headers without worrying about delimiters existing in the actual data.

  • Support for JSP's located in WEB-INF directory

    Several application servers support the use of placing JSP pages underneath the WEB-INF directory, to insure that only server side workflow forwards requests to those pages and not direct URL access. IN addition the JSTL specification supports the use of
    <c:import url="/WEBINF/published/campaign_Arts.jsp" />
    Does OC4J 9.0.3 support this syntax? I cannot get it to work. Is there an application configuration file I need to update to support this?
    Thanks

              thank you for your reply...
              but...
              My problem is that i want to serve jsp pages that include various other jsp pages.
              But i don't want those other pages to be served directly. The approach of putting
              the jsp files in the WEB-INF, or in a sub directory of it, worked fine on Tomcat.
              The way i look at it is that the server has direct access to them when putting
              togetter the main jsp, but they can't be accessed from the outside. But this seems
              not to be the case.
              Any ideas?
