Weblogic J2EE agent 2.2 performance issue

Hi All,
Are these known performance issues with J2EE Agent 2.2 for Weblogic 8sp5?
Is there a document that tells about performance tuning of J2EE Agent 2.2 for Weblogic server?
We are doing the load testing with AM 7.0 and Weblogic J2EE Agent. We found that AM7.0 with Apache Policy agent works fine in our load test. Our Application's performance without the J2EE agent is good. The moment we add J2EE Agent for weblogic to the equation, it goes south...
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks,
Vivek

  • WebLogic 10.3.4 Adminserver Performance Issues - Clustered Environment.

I am running WL 10.3.4 64 bit version on 64 bit hardware (blade serves) running Solaris 10 and I have the servers setup in a cluster. There are 3 machines are part of the cluster.
Managed Server1 is on Blade Server 1
Managed Server2 is on Blade Server 2
Managed Server3 is on Blade Server 3
We have about 20 different clusters setup and 60 servers across those 20 clusters.
The adminserver runs on a separate box (not a blade server). Tasks that do NOT involve the servers or deployments tabs are relatively fast however, when I go to the servers or deployments tab, and to some extent the clusters tab, the response is very slow.
For example, I am running WL 10.3.0 on less robust hardware. I installed the patch that Oracle published to resolve this particular issue. We have a similar number of clusters and servers on in that environment (3 severs to a cluster). The servers tab responds in 10 seconds.
In WL 10.3.4, the servers and deployments tabs take about 45 - 60 seconds to respond. This adds a LOT of overhead to doing any server or deployment related tasks.
I realize that the admin server has to query all the managed servers but performance in 10.3.4 is much worse than WL 10.3.0 with the performance patch.
Has anyone else run into similar performance issues with the WL 10.3.4 ADMIN Console running in a clustered environment? If so, does anyone have any suggestions to help improve performance.
I also run a WL 10.3.4 instance in a single server environment and the servers and deployments tabs respond withing 10 seconds (very fast). It is just in a clustered environment.
    Regards,
    Mark

hi Mark, it's a very interesting story, any follow-up? I would be curious to know the reason for the delay...

  • Performance Issues in IC Agent Search - Category and / or Status search

    Hi All
We are encountering a serious performance issue in SAP CRM 7.0 WebUI for  IC Agent Inbox Search, when using the provided selection criteria viz u2013 status, category etc.
When we click on search , we are getting a timeout for the same.
As per ST22 analysis, the timeout is occurring due to the read on CRMD_ORDER_INDEX table where a sequential read is timing out.
A Custom Index has been created on the CRMD_ORDER_INDEX  table for improving performance.
In ST22 the standard tips mention
"Dataset resulting from database access is too large".
    and
"Database has unsuitable index. Check index generation".
We have done a database inconsistency check and no errors are appearing for the index.
We also did a rebuild index in RSANORA but that has not solved the issue.
Any pointers that could help solve / analyze the core issue would be very beneficial.
I have a feeling using APPEND HINTS to curtail the dataset should sovle the issue, however i am not a DB expert.
If u have any suggestions pls let me know.
    Thanks
    Ron.

    Hi Ron,
Are you getting the search result if you limit your search for a specific date or for a specific transaction number. If yes then i believe your Indexing is still not proper. There are few notes available for improving performance of agent inbox for CRM 7.0. Did you check those notes?
    Thanks

  • Error when deploying JDBC file data source for J2EE agent in weblogic

    Hi ODI experts!
we're using ODI 11g and we've installed J2EE agents on weblogic. We need to configure a connection pool within weblogic for a file data source. Thus, we've added snpsFile.jar (that was shipped with ODI 10g...) to the weblogic config so that we can configure a JDBC connection to file.
As we validate the config, an error occurs (see below):
Obviously, driver is found but cannot be deployed.

    Hi!
Some information: I found this website [http://gerardnico.com/doc/odi/webhelp/en/refmanual/connexion/jdbcdriversample.htm] explaining that the 'old' snpsFile.jar driver was deprecated and that a new one was existing... but I can't find it anywhere!
    My questions are:
    - Can the problem (original problem. See initial post) be due to driver version?
    - Does someone know where to find this 'new' driver?
    Thanks for your help.
    Fredd.

  • New weblogic cookie gets created - app is protected by SAM J2EE agent

    All
We have installed J2EE agent 2.2 on Weblogic App server (8.1 SP6) fine..
We get authenitcated against access manager while accessing a weblogic app, however it seems that
we are going in a loop and a new weblogic session id is getting created every time
We have the AMfilter as the 1st filter .. etc... We have deployed the SampleApp etc fine in the past
We have checked the AMAgent.properties file etc..
The weblogic app is in the same domain as our SAM server and the cookie domain is set fine...
We can see that SAM cookie is used fine.. but it seems like the weblogic thinks its a new session
and creates a new session cookie all the time
    Any ideas
    Thanks

We got some new jar files for the agent and now the agent with the tomcat container is working as expected.

We have performed workload manager tuning in weblogic console as below.
The property ‘Maximum Threads Constraint’ of work managers OIMMDBWorkManager = 80 and OIMUIWorkManager = 20
    Please suggest the solution.

    Hi,
If you look more closely at the STUCK Thread stack trace, you will notice that the thread is attempting to acquire a LOCK on the following Object monitor: java.io.PrintStream@41a53700. The native thread state is also in a BLOCKED state.
My primary recommendation is to generate a full JVM Thread Dump (next re-occurence) so we can identify the potential culprit Thread holding such lock. One more thing, please see if you have multiple snapshots of this thread 294?
I also recommend to review the following source code:
    com.wyndham.operations.user.eventHandlers.PostCreateOperationsEventHandler.execute(PostCreateOperationsEventHandler.java:60)
Sharing the same Stream object in this case would trigger thread lock contention given java.io.PrintStream has built-in synchronization ex:
       public void println(String x) {
      synchronized (this) {
         print(x);
         newLine();

  • BEA Weblogic performance issue

    Hi All,
We are using bea weblogic 10.2.
We have some performance issue in our production.
    We face the proble like
    1. Our bea query takes maxixmum cpu utilization in the oracle databse.
process are content upload, update, expiry and report fetching.
    2. When we run BEA query for report it takes around 10 min to run and content count is around 70,000,
    is this OK?
    3. Some times we get Socket connection error.
    4. Sometimes we get portal datasource connection pool error, currently it is set as 30.
    5. Almost every process is slow.
Can anyone help me for optimization?
    From BBA,
we idetified the query which is taking high CPU utilization..

If your DB CPU is pegged, then anything that does db operations will take time (including some portal operations). If you take a thread dump you should be able to see them waiting on the DB
When we run BEA query for report it takes around 10 min to run and content count is around 70,000,No. If it causes your CPU to max out it isnt. However your content items arent that much, so what query are you running? You could always export and import just the content tables and run your queries on some other machine (Assuming this is the cause)
    3. Some times we get Socket connection error.More information needed
    4. Sometimes we get portal datasource connection pool error, currently it is set as 30.What is the error?
    5. Almost every process is slow.If the DB is maxed this is what you should expect.
When is the query fired? Are your indexes created? I assume caching is not much good to you since these are reporting queries?

  • OpenAM Weblogic Policy Agent

    Hi Everyone,
I have installed Weblogic Policy Agent in OpenAM. Followed the URL “http://openam.forgerock.org/openam-documentation/openam-doc-source/doc/agent-install-guide/index/chap-weblogic.html” to install the policy Agent.
I am using Oracle Weblogic server 10.3.5.0 to use deploy the .war file. Same Weblogic server used for Oracle Identity Manager 11.1.1.5.0.
In Weblogic Policy Agent post-installation steps need to select Agent Authenticator for the security Realm.
I have doubt here. Whether i want to create the *"new realm"* or i can use the existing realm *"myrealm"*? But , "myrealm" is consists the details of OIM.
I am thinking to create the new realm for openAM Weblogic policy Agent, if so what are the things i need to do create new realm for OpenAM.
    Please suggest me on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Karthick

    Hi Aaron;
I am trying to see if I can force the policy agent to be invoked on non-protected resources. The agent is in J2EE mode. The scenario that I have is the whole site is open and nothing is protected so I have to make the policy agent recognize requests for both protected and non protected resources. The other issue I have is that even if I create a cookie the policy agent doesn't maintain the session state since the requests are for unprotected resources. It (PA) doesn't "touch" the cookie since the requests didn't go through it.
    Thanks,

On googling this seems to be an issue with java file handling on windows servers and I couldn't find a solution yet. Any recommendation or pointer is appreciated

    Hi shubhu,
I just analyzed your partial Thread Dump data, the problem is that the ajax4jsf framework ResponseWriterContentHandler triggers internally a new instance of the DocumentBuilderFactory; every time; triggering heavy IO contention because of Class loader / JAR file search operations.
Too many of these IO operations under heavy load will create excessive contention and severe performance degradation; regardless of the OS you are running your JVM on.
Please review the link below and see if this is related to your problem.. This is a known issue in JBOSS JIRA when using RichFaces / ajaxJSF.

  • Performance issues with the Vouchers index build in SES

    Hi All,
We are currently performing an upgrade for: PS FSCM 9.1 to PS FSCM 9.2.
As a part of the upgrade, Client wants Oracle SES to be deployed for some modules including, Purchasing, Payables (Vouchers)
We are facing severe performance issues with the Vouchers index build. (Volume of data = approx. 8.5 million rows of data)
The index creation process runs for over 5 days.
Can you please share any information or issues that you may have faced on your project and how they were addressed?

Check the following logs for errors:
    1.  The message log from the process scheduler
    2.  search_server1-diagnostic.log  in /search_server1/logs directory
If the build is getting stuck while crawling then we typically have to increase the Java Heap size for the Weblogic instance for SES>

  • Performance issues with Imac intel 2011 27 inch..

    I have an 2011 imac 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM.
Since a few months i noticed performance issues with FCPX, where before it would run through video it shows sometimes the color ball. Now the computer is slow in starting up and shutting down also. Ran disk utility but to no avail. I am now considering reinstalling mavericks.
    But I ran etrecheck.
here are the results, please who can help me? I use this computer to edit and about everything else.

  • Performance Issue with VL06O report

    Hi,
We are having performance issue with VL06O report, when run with forwarding agent. It is taking about an hour with forwarding agent. The issue is with VBPA table and we found one OSS note, but it is for old versions. ours is ECC 5.0. Can anybody know the solution? If you guys need more information, please ask me.
    Thanks,
    Surya

    Sreedhar,
Thanks for you quick response. Indexes were not created for VBPA table. basis people tested by creating indexes and gave a report that it is taking more time with indexes than regular query optimizer. this is happening in the funtion forward_ag_selection.
    select vbeln lifnr from vbpa
appending corresponding fields of table lt_select
         where     vbeln in ct_vbeln
         and     posnr eq posnr_initial
         and     parvw eq 'SP'
         and     lifnr in it_spdnr.
I don't see any issue with this query. I give more info later

  • Performance issue showing read by other session Event

    Hi All,
we are having a severe performance issue in my database when we are running batch jobs.
This was a new database(11.2.0.2) and we are testing the performance by running some batch jobs. These batch jobs included some inserts and updates.
I am seeing read by other session in top 5 timed events and cache buffers chains in Latch Miss Sources section.
Please help me to solve this out.

  • Major performance Issues after upgrading to 10.9.2

    Hi,
I have been having major performance issues almost preventing me from using the computer at times.  I suspect I don't have enough memory to run Maverick as the computer was great before I upgraded.
If any experts or people with ideas for me to speed up the computer, please respond.  If you think the only way to improve performance is add memory or revert back to a previous version of OSX that I have a backup for, let me know.
Here is the info on my system, thank you in advance!!
