Weblogic.jndi.WLContext.PIN_TO_PRIMARY_SERVER  == "true"  not helping...

          Hi,
          In cluster there are 2 NT boxes. All beans are deployed
          evenly on both the machines. m/c A session bean SB1 is doing
          lookup for the same session bean SB1 on m/c 2.
          The problem is it's getting the SB1 from m/c 1 and not from
          m/c 2, even after using PIN_TO_PRIMARY_SERVER to "true".
          Hashtable htProps = new Hashtable();
          htProps.put(WLContext.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
          htProps.put(WLContext.PIN_TO_PRIMARY_SERVER, "True");
          htProps.put(WLContext.PROVIDER_URL, "IP of m/c 2");
          Regards,
          Jitendra Kumar.

How do you know that it is not?

    Hello,
    I have this line in my code:
    import weblogic.jndi.WLContext;
    But when I compile it, I got the following error message:
    Class weblogic.jndi.WLContext not found in import.
    I think it's because I didn't set my CLASSPATH correctly. Am I right? What should be add to the CLASSPATH variable in this case?

    Why would anyone use this property? From the examples I've seen it seems
    to be involved with creating JMS related items. I couldn't seem to
    find any documentation on this.....
    Thanks.

    Let's say you want to bind an object to:

    Each part (my, own, context) is a separate sub-context, and unless you set
    this flag, you'll have to create each sub context separately.

    Stubs in WLS are generated dynamically these days, and I guess that they are meant to
    be network classloaded - change your applet codebase to load from WebLogic.
    You can see that this class is there by pointing your browser to
    http://localhost:7001/classes/weblogic/jndi/internal/ServerNamingNode_WLStub.class

    Hi
    We are facing problem in JNDI lookup inside the applet
    here is the scenario
    We have two weblogic servers(port 7001)

    web.xml file ( wall these files are provided by weblogic and the port
    of proxy server is 448)
    Both the servers are running on different machines
    and when we run the client browser and put the folloing url
    http://proxyServer IP Address:448/app.htm
    we get the following exception

    It looks like the object that you have placed into the JNDO tree is not serializable or doesnt implement exernalizable!

    Hi
    We are facing problem in JNDI lookup inside the applet
    here is the scenario
    We have two weblogic servers(port 7001)
    one server is main server where the Applet1 , weblogic.jar and app.htm
    are in C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp_myserver
    and another is proxy server where HTTPProxyServlet is running and one
    web.xml file ( wall these files are provided by weblogic and the port
    of proxy server is 448)
    Both the servers are running on different machines
    and when we run the client browser and put the folloing url
    http://proxyServer IP Address:448/app.htm
    we get the following exception

    Thank a lot

    Hi Famoniri,
    I guess you have used weblogic specific libraries for looking up. IE does not know about this class and hence java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
    If the above is the cause of the problem, try packaging the weblogic jar files with the applet(not a good idea!) or use the standard javax.naming packages(may be a good idea!).
    The problem causer is weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactoryDelegate.newRootNamingNodeStub which is trying to load classes which are not prsent in its viscinity.
    Let me know if this helps.

    Rajesh

    Any thoughts?

    Sean,
    Are you certain you a referencing the correct port in the admin url its generally defaulted to 7001 on weblogic. Thats all I could think of off the top of my head. Post back if you still have issues.

  • How to look up a TxDataSource bound in weblogic JNDI

    HI,
    How can i look up a TxDataSource bound in weblogic JNDI. When i access it using
    javax.sql.XADataSourse ds = (XADataSourse)context.lookUp(jndiName)
    ..it gives me classcast exception.
    and if i lookup it using javax.sql.DataSource like below
    javax.sql.DataSourse ds = (DataSourse)context.lookUp(jndiName)
    then while executing my sql on the connection object it throws some other excepiton
    like below
    java.sql.SQLException: weblogic.rmi.extensions.RemoteRuntimeException: Unexpected Exception - with nested exception:
    [weblogic.rjvm.PeerGoneException: ; nested exception is:
    java.io.EOFException]
    at weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialStatement.executeQuery(SerialStatement.java:92)
    at TestTransactionMgr.main(TestTransactionMgr.java:46)
    How can i solve this problem.. Actually my application needs to handle distributed transactions so i need to implement XADataSource.
    can somebody help me iin this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Akhil Nagpla

    Hi Akhil did u get the solution for distributed database /
    I am also working on same but i dint get the solution yet. Please if u have any solution for the same do mail me to [email protected] and [email protected]
    here goes my problem !
    we have 2 oracle databases.
    I am using Stateless EJB and container managed transaction !
    And inside a ejb method i am getting 2 different connection from 2 different datasources ok !
    Since am using container managed transaction it starts transaction automatically when the method begins,
    and the transaction ends when the method exit out ok !
    Now i insert into 2 databases and when the method exits it gives an error listed below !
    i am using NON emulated datasource with class name "com.evermindsql.DriverManagerDataSource"
    and looking up this datasource in the EJB with name specified in location attribute of datasource !
    "com.evermind.server.rmi.OrionRemoteExcepttion: Transaction was rolled back: javax.transaction.SystemException: could not commit: error code 29540- for additional error code check the oracle log file"
    For distributed database we configured DBLINK also !
    If u can give more info regarding DBlink it will be better ! Even after we set DBlink we are getting error !
    Please tell us how to configure the database !

  • The DataSource with the JNDI name: contentDataSource could not be located

    Hello,
    We try to deploy our system/application to the servers that structed as
    Machine one has:
    1 administration domain
    1 managed domain
    Machine two has :
    1 managed domain which is administrated by machine one.
    I was trying to deploy the UI(portal application) to managed domain under Machine one. I got
    error message as following:
    Exception:weblogic.management.ApplicationException: activate failed for content.jar Module: content.jar Error: Exception activating module: EJBModule(content.jar,status=PREPARED) Unable to deploy EJB: ValueBean from content.jar: [EJB:011028]The DataSource with the JNDI name: contentDataSource could not be located. Please ensure that the DataSource has been deployed successfully and that the JNDI name in your EJB Deployment descriptor is correct.
    I have portalFrameworkPool Data Sources deployed to both managed domains.
    when I deploy the application to the server that has one one domain(both adminstrator domain and application domain are in one), it is fine.
    Can some one with same experience, or BEA people provide some help on this? Very appreciate any help on this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Christina

    :-p
    If you go to each Managed Server on the console, you can see the Service tab and then go to JDBC. Under JDBC you can see all the pool connections. Instead of localhost they should be pointing to the specific hostname or ip address of the adminserver and the pointbase port on that server (9093 by default) so the EAR files can be correctly deployed and then the JNDI Tree will look exactly the same on both servers. Change all the connection pools to use the specific hostname instead of localhost. Hope this works for you.

  • [WebLogic crash] Stack overflow error not notified

    I want to notify an error that occurred to me; this is the working
    environment:
    - Weblogic 5.1 SP10
    - Windows2K SP2 / Solaris --> tested on both systems
    - JBuilder 5 enterprise / JDK 1.3 and JDK 1.2.2 --> tested in
    both environments
    - session beans container managed ( incriminated components :-) )
    Last week I made a mistake with cut and paste in my code, resulting in
    a block of code like this:
    public static final void rollback() {
    try {
    rollback(); // this instead of something like
    // sessionContext.setRollbackOnbly()
    } catch(Exception ex) {}
    This method, that is included in the root class from which all my
    session beans are derived, is called whenever an excepion occurs in my
    session methods; a generic session method in my own implementation is
    something like this:
    public void performAction( <Action> data ) throws
    <MY_EXCEPTION_TYPES>{
    boolean bOperationSuccess = false;
    try {
    <do_something>
    bOperationSuccess = true;
    } catch (<HANDLED_EXCEPTION> ex) {
    ...... // handle errors and rethrow if necessary a new owner's
    exception
    } finally {
    if (!bOperationSuccess ) rollback;
    The result of this error has been a systematic crash of Weblogic,
    without any log or message on standard output (it has required more
    time than necessary for me to retrieve the error since there was no
    information about the cause of error). Is this an error of Weblogic
    that intercepts all Throwable objects but handle only some of them or
    is a problem related with JVM? Usually when JVM crash it create also
    files like "hs_err_pidXXX.log", but I've not found such a similar
    file, so I suppose it's not a crash of JVM.
    I've tried to test the same function with a "Test" class like this:
    class Test {
    public static final void rollback() {
    try {
    rollback(); // this instead of something like
    // sessionContext.setRollbackOnbly()
    } catch(Exception ex) {}
    public static void main(String argv[]) {
    try { <something> } finally { rollback(); }
    and the result has been correctly a "StackOverflowError" (no crash of
    JVM).
    Obviously it is due to a stupid error of mine ( damn cut & paste :-)
    ), but my question is: can be this a warning for you about how certain
    type of errors are handled by weblogic or is this a not systematic and
    so no relevant problem ?
    In the former case, can you remove this problem in future releases?
    It could be really problematic the crash of a server in a production
    environment
    (I'm working for a important bank, and here I can't allow the system
    to have systematic crashes, even if the situations that may cause
    crash are rare and strange, since that cause is systematic and could
    cause the crash of all the servers in the cluster in a chunk of
    seconds if the end-user repeat the critical operation more times).
    Obviously my particular error can be easily discovered in a testing
    environment, but what could it happen if the loop was caused only by a
    particular method in particular condition? It should never cause the
    crash of the server.
    Maybe some Weblogic settings can help me on this?
    Thanks in advance for any advice,
    Massimiliano Mercogliano.

    That is the result of a bug in HotSpot. If you use
    "-classic -Djava.compiler=" to use the interpreter, you will get the correct
    exception etc.

    public void performAction( <Action> data ) throws
    <MY_EXCEPTION_TYPES>{
    boolean bOperationSuccess = false;
    try {
    <do_something>
    bOperationSuccess = true;
    } catch (<HANDLED_EXCEPTION> ex) {
    ...... // handle errors and rethrow if necessary a new owner's
    exception
    } finally {
    if (!bOperationSuccess ) rollback;
    I've tried to test the same function with a "Test" class like this:
    class Test {
    public static final void rollback() {
    try {
    rollback(); // this instead of something like
    // sessionContext.setRollbackOnbly()
    } catch(Exception ex) {}
    public static void main(String argv[]) {
    try { <something> } finally { rollback(); }
    and the result has been correctly a "StackOverflowError" (no crash of

    This error line does hint that you do have the required JARs in the classpath but there may be version different. If jar is missing you would have NoClassDefFound Error. But it say method signature not found. May be the jar that you are using do not have this method. Try using other version of the jar. Incase if you have like any java decompiler, you can always open this .class file and see if this method signature exists in that class.
    Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.objectweb.asm.ClassVisitor.visit(IILjava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;[Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)V
    I do not know anything about asm, but just incase if this class happens to exist in any other package also but with different APIs (older versions) and you are referring them first. Usually this happens if we have same class with diff versions in diff jars and the order in which this class gets loaded. So if you have this same class but latest version put those JARs in the first before asm jars. You gave list of some packages, put the asm package in the end and see if that helps. Its just a hint as we do run into these kind of issues specially with diff version os Struts jars that we use everyday with weblogic.

    Any suggestions would be very helpfulI'm not promising that I'll be one of the individuals to try to help, but for starters don't you think what you posted so far is completely insufficient? Don't you think showing what you think is the relevant code and configuration would be more relevant than just saying you already think you're doing it right?
    All that's left for someone remote so far, is to say: Well obviously you're doing something wrong. But since we don't know what you're really doing, we can't tell you.

  • SAX2 class weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryXMLReader does not imp. XMLReader

    Hey,
    I'm currently facing some issues while deploying a Spring Webservice on WebLogic 10.3. The Webservice requires a Xerces Sax2 Parser, but the default implementation of weblogic doesn't seem to implement all necessary classes. I already tried to set up a XMLRegistry, but without any success.
    I'm running the webservice on a server besides the AdminServer.

    Hey,
    I'm currently facing some issues while deploying a Spring Webservice on WebLogic 10.3. The Webservice requires a Xerces Sax2 Parser, but the default implementation of weblogic doesn't seem to implement all necessary classes. I already tried to set up a XMLRegistry, but without any success.
    I'm running the webservice on a server besides the AdminServer.
