Find Weblogic server is Enterprise or Standard Edition
Hi,
I need to find if the Weblogic server version in my windows server is standards or enterprise edition.
My weblogic version 10.3.6.0 which was configured earlier and now we have got the enterprise version lisence
Regards,
GauravHi,
There is only one WebLogic Server software download. Whether you need a WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition or a WebLogic Suite license depends on whether you use the premium components which are included in the WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition or WebLogic Suite licenses.
For WebLogic Server 11g, the packaging is as follows:
WebLogic Server Standard Edition:
includes WebLogic Server
Kodo Enterprise
TopLink and ADF
JDeveloper
Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition:
includes WebLogic Server Standard Edition
+ Clustering
+Enterprise Manager Diagnostics Pack
WebLogic Suite:
includes WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition
+ Coherence EE
+ JRockit Real Time
+ Management Pack for Coherence
+ iAS EE (on WebLogic)
+ WL Operations Control

Problem Login to Weblogic Server and Enterprise Manager Page
Hi master and guru,
I have installed WebLogic 10.3.5, SOA 11.1.1.5.0 and OIM 11.1.1.5.0 in production server.
But when trying to login to Weblogic Server page (http:\\<host>:7001\console), failed without error.
And when trying to login to Enterprise Manager page (http:\\<host>:7001\em), failed also.
The error in log :

Can anyone help me why this problem occured and how to solve it?
Thank you,
Ivan P.Hi
Try to increase socket limits
Normally you can do this within the admin console , Servers -> Configuration -> Tuning -> Socket Readers
For you, since you can't login, set the ThreadPoolPercentSocketReaders in the config.xml to a higher value than 5

Wrong Version of Weblogic Server with Enterprise Pack?
Hello. I am having a runtime server problem with my Enterprise Pack. Here is the scenario:
I downloaded and installed Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3. I am using the bundled (Eclipse) Enterprise Pack that came with it. I am following the "Introduction to the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) IDE" tutorial. I am at the stage (in wizard) where I am creating an eclipse project, and assigning the target runtime server. It says to pick Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3 as the server. I do this. At the next step, when I browse and select the weblogic home for my chosen server, I get the following error:
The path "C:\bea\wlserver_10.3" contains the wrong version of WebLogic Server. Expected version 10.3.0. Found version 10.3.1.
This strikes me as odd as it is the server that the eclipse enterprise pack came with. At this point, I can go no further. Should I download a different version of the Enterprise Pack? Should I install a different version of weblogic? I am not sure what to do, and would appreciate any insights. Thanks.I'm stuck on this also.
On 2009-09-22 I downloaded and installed Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11gR1 from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/enterprise-pack-for-eclipse/index.html Windows All-In-One oepe-ganymede-win32.zip. I installed it into an existing exclipse directory and maybe that is related. I'm currently deleting that directory and unzipping the root of C to see if that helps.
We have a DEV instance up that I hope be able to deploy to remotely. It is on a secure server (i.e. https://crpXXdev1:9023). The splash screen indicates that version is WebLogic Server 11g and WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.1.0
I also downloaded and installed Oracle Web Logic 11gR1 (10.3.1) so I could deploy on my development box as well. I installed it to bea10_3_1_0. I can start this instance and when I do the splash screen says starting weblogic with Java version: java version 1.6.0_11.
Logs should be written to:C:\bea10_3_1_0\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\AdminServer\logs\AdminServer.log.>
I see Server started in RUNNING mode.
I throw this in my Browser http://localhost:7001/console/login/LoginForm.jsp and I get splash screen and can log in as User name weblogic.
Systems Status says OK
As I go through the OTN Tuturial 'Introdcution to Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) IDE, configure the eclipse.ini fill as shown (e.g. -vm C:\bea10_3_1_0\jdk160_11\bin). And just to be safe I remove the following from my Environment Path so I don't use a pre Jave 1.6 version C:\Sun\SDK\jdk\bin;C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.3.1\bin;
I fire up eclipse and go to Window / Preference Installed JREs and Add a reference to jdk160_11 in c:\bea10_3_1_0\jdk160_11. That is the only JRE I reference.
I don the following
1. Select Help > Software Updates > Available Software > Add Site.
2. In the Add Site dialog, enter http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/ganymede, and then click OK.
3. Select Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse, verify that all of the subcomponents are selected, and then click Install.
I get some prompts see some download activity and after it is down, restart Eclipse.
I go to Open Perspective and Java EE is not available as an option to choose. This is bad because I cannot see the Server tab to add a Server. I could do this yesterday before I re-installed Eclipsed. Without the Server tab and can not continue the tutorial to get to where I was having errors yesterday. -

Trouble defining BAM Enterprise Message Source for BEA WebLogic Server
Hi all,
I've just started to play a little with Oracle BAM Architect.
I've WLS 10.0 and Oracle BAM Architect 10g release 3.
On Oracle BAM Architect I've defined an Enterprise Message Source for BEA WebLogic Server as follows:
Name: ALSBSource
Owner: ...
Type: BEA WebLogic Server
Initial context factory: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
JNDI Service Provider URL: t3://mypc:7001
TopicConnectionFactory name: com.myConnectionFactory
Topic name: com.myBAMTopic
JMS message type: TextMessage
Durable subscriber name: BAMSubscriber
Client ID: BAMSubscriber
Name | Flow name | Type | Max size | Formatting
content | BAM | String | 1024 | (none)
On WLS 10.0 I've defined the required JMS stuff.
On Oracle Design Studio I've defined a plan that includes:
- an Oracle BAM Enterprise Message Receiver from which I've selected the above 'ALSBSource' Enterprise Message Source
- a simple Grid
I've connected the BAM Enterprise Message Receiver to the Grid and clicked on 'Update' button.
When I try to publish a message on 'com.myBAMTopic' I don't see anything on the grid defined in the Oracle Design Studio.
The first question is about the definition of an Enterprise Message Source for BEA WebLogic Server in the Oracle BAM Architect.
I did not change the Oracle BAM Architect classpath or Oracle Design Studio classpath adding the weblogic.jar, because no error has been raised during the configuration of the message source and the plan. Should I update Oracle classpath with the weblogic.jar ?
Did I forget any other step ?
I thank you in advance for any feedback.
Regards
ferpferp - I got this to work with
JNDI Service Provider URL: http://localhost
When I add the port
JNDI Service Provider URL: http://localhost:23891
I cannot get my EMS to start.
Hopefully this should fix your issue.

Enterprise Manager For WebLogic Server 10.3
Hi,
I have a weblogic server version 10.3.
I want to access the Enterprise Manager for the same.I believe standalone version of weblogic server 10.3 doesnt come with
Enterprise Manager.
I believe we can have EM if we download Application Development Runtime.
I tried doing the same ,but I am unable to launch the Enterprise Manager Website.
My server is running on on port 7001 ,hence I tried accessing the Enterprise Manager
using the below url i.e http://localhost:7001/em,but i was not able to access.
Could somebody help me on how I can access the enterprise Manager.
Regards
HarishActually, with FMW 11g (WLS version 10.3.1 NOT 10.3), there is now an application called Fusion Middleware Control that is part of the Enterprise Manager family. AbhishekHi,
I was getting same excepction when tried to configure weblogic server (10.3.3 and 10gR3) through BPM Configuration Wizard, so I end up doing everything manually, like setting up JDBC data sources, JMS Server, JMS Modules and created DB (Directory & Engine).
Now, I am stuck at the last step of deploying the EAR files generated using BPM Process Administrator, they EAR's are generated fine but while deploying them to Weblogic server (through BPM Process Administrator), getting following exception (for "01-eng-bpmengine.ear")
<Servlet: "engineStartup" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "/albpmServices/bpmengine".

my assumption is JDBC Data Sources or the Directory/Engine database have some column name mismatch.
Let me know if somebody has a solution for this, or if I am doing something wrong.
NOTE: just found out that this happens only on Windows 2003 server, but not on OEL5 (Oracle Enterprise Linux 5).

Weblogic Enterprise 5.1 to Weblogic Server 6.1
Hello,
Can WLE 5.1 be a client to Weblogic Server 6.1?
If yes, can you please point me some URLs that explain the development process
for some C++ Tuxedo components to call some Enterprise Java Beans please.
Thank you.
Thierryhttp://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/wtc.html
Also, visit the weblogic.developer.interest.wtc newsgroup.
WebLogic Tuxedo Connector allows Tuxedo (6.5, 7.1, 8.0) components to make
"service" calls to EJBs in WLS 6.1.
Not sure if possible from WLE 5.1.

Jbuilder 6 enterprise and weblogic server 6.1 integration problem
hello,
i am using jbuilder 6 enterprise and weblogic server 6.1. i just got a new
workstation and imported my old project from cvs into jbuilder and
everything is fine up to this point.
the application in question is using servlet filters, so i absolutely need
web application version 2.3. it seems, though, that my jbuilder believes for
some reason that only tomcat 4 and borland enterprise server are capable of
using servlet filters. i cannot remember how i fixed this last time around,
but i did somehow. i had a recollection that the jb6_all_001 patch did the
trick, but obviously it didn't this time, at least. what is really annoying
is that the wizard does not allow me to create servlet filters and the
webapp dd editor does not allow me to configure filters, either. of course,
i can edit web.xml manually, but starting the server changes the dtd back to
2.2 and removes everything that is 2.3 specific.
please help me fix this?at the moment it is possible for me to work, though. i worked around the
problem and i set web.xml as a read only file. i still can't use wizards to
create servlets and i can't edit web.xml with jbuilder. -

What is 5.1 Enterprise VS 5.1 WebLogic Server?
I have recently been thrown into a BEA partner program where we
are reviewing many products.
I am experienced using the 5.1 Weblogic server, ecommerce and personalization.
However, I am totally confused as to what 5.1 enterprise fits into
this whole equation? What is the JEngine, is this Weblogic 5.1?
Can anyone shed light on this?
Thanks

Weblogic Server vs Weblogic Enterprise
What is the difference in security functionality between Weblogic Server and
Weblogic Enterprise? Can I use Weblogic Server in conjunction with a single
user sign on to secure my EJB objects?
thanks
scottI suggest taking a look at our external website: www.BEA.com. A summary of
the WLS security is located there -- and you can also look at the product
WLE to check out the security functionality there.
Thanks,
