Weblogic.server.ServiceFailureException:com- embedded LDAP error
Hi
While starting teh weblogic server, I am getting error as
weblogic.server.ServiceFailureException: Error initialisng embedded LDAP server - with nested exception
java.lang.ClassCastException:com.octetstring.vde.backend.BackendRoot
the server is not started (I have installed it as a window service in Win2k)
Any help on this ?
there are few different ways to fix this. I do this frequently
--Delete the data folder and boot the server it will fix the issue. You will lose all the users information (except admin user) need to recrate any ohter users you created.make sure backup data folder
-- Second get the data folder from domain_bak folder
Hope this will fix your problem
Thanks

WebLogicServer Embedded LDAP Error!!
Hi,

Please advise me on how to resolve this issue..
ThanksBEA-171500
Error: The embedded LDAP Configuration file: fileName was not found and the embedded LDAP server has not been started. To resolve the problem, ensure that weblogic.home is defined correctly (it should have a lib subdirectory that contains this file).
Description
The lib directory contains the configuration files required for the embedded LDAP server. If those files are missing or the appropriate directory cannot be found, then the embedded LDAP server cannot initialize.
Cause
The embedded LDAP server cannot find the specified file. This file is installed as part of the installation process. Most likely, the default directory is not the server root directory and the lib subdirectory cannot be found.
Action
Set the default directory to the server root directory or set the location of the embedded LDAP server configuration files via the weblogic.EmbeddedLDAPConfigDirectory system property.
As suggested in the Action plan for error code 171500,try setting up EmbeddedLDAPConfigDirectory system property in the server start-up script or in setDomainEnv.sh script.
You can set the same as JAVA_OPTIONS in the script.
e.g.
JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dweblogic.EmbeddedLDAPConfigDirectory=/home/mwhome1/wlserver_10.3/server/lib ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
export JAVA_OPTIONS
Hope this helps!!

Oracle WebLogic Server 9.2 MP4 - license error
Hi,
I have installed Oracle WebLogic Server 9.2 MP4 on my dev/test server, while starting the server in production mode getting licensed validation error, can any body help on this please.
downloaded 9.2 MP4 from this location (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html)
<20-Jun-2011 09:04:38 o'clock BST> <Critical> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000362> <Server failed. Reason:
Unable to start WebLogic Server!
Exception occurred while reading the license file.
Please make sure you have a valid license.bea
file in the BEA home directory associated with this
installation. For more information about the license.bea
file, see the installation guide for the version of the
software you are using at http://e-docs.bea.com.
ThanksHi,
I was able to figure out the root cause. I was using the primitive data type "int" for primary key and foreign key for one of the beans in the relationship. After I changed it to "Integer" wrapper type, the issue got resolved.

Not able to start weblogic server 10.1 getting the error
Hi,
I have installed weblogic 10 on solaris 8. when i am trying to start the application i am getting the following error.
Unable to load performance pack. Using Java I/O instead. Please ensure that a native performance library is in:
'/10/wl/jdk150_11/jre/lib/sparc/server:/10/wl/jdk150_11/jre/lib/sparc:/10/wl/jdk150_11/jre/../lib/sparc:/ora001/product/9.2.0.5/lib32:/wl/weblogic/wlserver_10.0/server/native/solaris/sparc:/wl/weblogic/wlserver_10.0/server/native/solaris/sparc/oci920_8:/epy00q10/wl_r43a/weblogic/wlserver_10.0/server/native/solaris/sparc:/10/wl/weblogic/wlserver_10.0/server/native/solaris/sparc/oci920_8:/usr/lib'
Please let me know if you got the similar problem as well as solution.
thxTo connect WebLogic Server instances with Coherence clusters, coherence.jar must be referenced from applications in one of the following ways:
EAR scoped: Referenced as a shared library in weblogic-application.xml (recommended) or embedded in APP-INF/lib
WAR scoped: Embedded in an application in WEB-INF/lib
Server scoped: Can be put on the system classpath
Can you try to set the coherence.jar in the classpath of the new managed server node (i.e in the startup script) and start the new managed server instance?
Thanks,

WebLogic Server 5.1 SP11 starting error
Hi,
I have installed WebLogic Server 5.1 SP11 in my home PC on Win NT and I tried to start the server, I got the message WebLogic server started, immediatly after that I got a message "IIOP Service not started as 1.3 vm was not found". Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.Hi.
You are not starting WLS with JDK 1.3.x. If you need IIOP then you need to get a 1.3 JDK, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

Michael

I just installed the Oracle Fusion Middleware server. The server start fines and I can get to the admin console and use it, but once I deploy the console I begin to get exceptions on the server and it pegs the processor at 100%.

MuraliYou're getting that probably because the WL instance was not shut down properly.
If that's the case, you'll need to remove an ldap lock file (with a .lok extension) in the directory of ldap files (under the server dir) . -

I followed the link:
http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/10/how-to-solve-javalangclassnotfoundexcep.html

i removed the public-html folder from Model folder.
But still it is giving the same error.
Please provide any Suggestion is anyone has come across the same issue.
TIA,

Cannot run PAPI in Weblogic Server 10g - Error 500--Internal Server Error
I use Jdev 11g to create an ADF (PAPI) and deploy it to Weblogic 10g.
The code is copied from Jdev 10g. The PAPI works fine in when running in Jdev 10g
However, after I deploy the ADF (PAPI) created using Jdev 11g to the Weblogic server. The following error appears.
How to modify the code? Should I add the fuego lib to the weblogic domain?
I try to add the fuegopapi-client.jar to Weblogic Server. But it shows error: Unable to access the selected application. java.lang.NullPointerException
BPM is running in BPM standalone. I do not use PAPI webservice

Thanks,It looks like some jasper library missing.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.jasper.compiler.JspRuntimeContext
Please make sure you have all dependent jasper libraries imported in your project.

Error while deploying application with WebLogic server
Hi,
I use Jdeveloper 11g and created and ADF application which i want to deploy with WebLogic Server. But i have an error which is :
"There was a failure when processing annotations for application C:\...\xxx.war. Please make sure that the annotations are valid. The error is oracle.adf.library.webapp.ResourceServlet "
Plz help me.
ThxI am receiving same message for simple servlet. Running JDev11g build 5166 and embedded WLS 10.3. Servlet used to deploy to embedded WLS and ran fine. Recently running newly created servlets produces error message as in this thread.
Investigation turned up the fact that the class file for the servlet was not deployed to the context-root (o.j2ee\drs) on the server. Copying the class file from the mywork project folder to the context-root folder (o.j2ee\drs) permitted the servlet to run.
Don't know if this is the cause of what you are experiencing but it may assist in your investigation! I have not figured out why the class file for servlets does not deploy to server despite the fact that the log file shows war and ear files were deployed. As it turns out, the war file does not have the class file in it so something is wrong before the war file is created.

Installation Error at the time of starting Weblogic Server
Hi All,
I am not a Java guy, so really need help on this problem for Weblogic. I request whosoever trying to explain the resolution to give the details
I have installed Weblogic 9.2 MP3 from edelivery.oracle.com. I have now configured as well one user_domain as well as per the steps mentioned. But when I start the Weblogic Server, I get the following error on command window of Weblogic.
\Java\jre1.5.0_10 was unexpected at this time
I have installed JRE1.5, after I have tried several times the same thing with JRE1.6. Where am I going wroing, I am really not able to figure out. Also, one point, I am not sure how much relevance it makes, when I configured Weblogic user_domain, as I feel, Weblogic should have automatically picked up the Java home, but it did not, and showed Unknown JDK, which I later confirgured with the correct path I had installed JDK/JRE.
Let me know if some log/error files are required.
Any insights on the above problem would be helpful.
Thanks
AJ.Hi,
You should have JDK installed in your Machine... Not JRE.
Because the JAVA_HOME Variable of WLS Scripts must refer to the Java Standard Development Kit (JDK) not the JRE home.
Example: WebLogic has a Script "config.sh"/"config.bat" to create WebLogic Domains which is placed inside "D:\bea922\weblogic92\common\bin" directory ...There in that file we will find JAVA_HOME variable...which should not point to the JRE Home rather it should point to Something like this:
JAVA_HOME=D:\bea922\jdk150_06
WebLogic will pick up the JAVA_HOME which is defined inside your *"<DOMAIN_HOME>\bin\setDomainEnv.sh"* script Just search for the JAVA_HOME variable in the above script. So it means once the WebLogic Domains are created Different Domains can use Different JDKs...All you need to do is Just set the Correct JAVA_HOME inside your "setDomainEnv.sh" script.
Thanks
