Weblogic throwing "null SOAP element Exception" in multi-part SOAP response
Hi All,
I'm using weblogic 10. My application is a webservice client generated using '*clientgen*', which is running on weblogic, and
is invoking a remotely hosted webservice ( Remotely hoseted webservice may not be running on weblogic).
I've the wsdl file of remotely hosted webservice.
Now the problem is with WSDL file (I suppose), have a look at this.
*<message name="m1">*
*<part name="body" element="tns:GetCompanyInfo"/>*
*</message>*
*<message name="m2">*
*<part name="body" element="tns:GetCompanyInfoResult"/>*
*<part name="docs" type="xsd:AnyComplexType"/> ------> assume all elements inside this complex type can be nil or minOccurs set to '0'*
*<part name="logo" type="xsd:AnyOtherComplexType"/> ------> assume all elements inside this complex type can be nil or minOccurs set to '0'*
*</message>*
<portType name="pt1">
<operation name="GetCompanyInfo">
<input message="m1"/>
*<output message="m2"/> -----> multi part message.*
</operation>
</portType>
Now here is sample message for the request(I've composed this message for this question):
<soap:Envelope> MESSAGE1
<soap:header/>
<soap:body>
<tns:m2>
<tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
Blah Blah....
</tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
<tns:docs>
Blah Blah....
</tns:docs> Assume no data for 'logo', so it's not returned. Since all its elements can be nillable.
<tns:m2>
</soap:body>
</soap:Envelope>
First of all, is this SOAP response is valid? I'm not sure about *'message' and 'parts' in SOAP*, but according to XML schema standards it's invalid.
Because, according to *'message' m2, 'logo' is missing*, eventhough all it's elements are nillable in such case there should be *<logo/>* at the end.
I mean valid message should be like below
<soap:Envelope> '*MESSAGE2*'
<soap:header/>
<soap:body>
<tns:m2>
<tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
Blah Blah....
</tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
<tns:docs>
Blah Blah....
</tns:docs>
*<tns:logo/> ------------------> here is the change compared to above message. empty element.*
<tns:m2>
</soap:body>
</soap:Envelope>
Now the concerns are :
(1) Which is a valid response? Message1 or Message2
(2) If message1 is valid then why is weblogic throwing an exception 'null SOAP element', I suppose this is due to missing 'logo' element.
(To confirm this I've used tcpmonitor and found message1 as response but weblogic is still throwing 'null SOAP Element' exception,
which confirms it needs 'logo' as well, I suppose <logo/> at least). Is there any workaround for this in weblogic for multi-part messages?
(3) If message1 is invalid according to SOAP standards then You've answered my question. ---> I need to talk to the webservice provider in this case.....
Thanks in advance...
Message 1 is not Basic Profile 1.1 compliant. It is specified by BP1.1 in section 4.4.1(http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1.1-2004-08-24.html#Bindings_and_Parts) that when a wsdl:part element is defined using the type attribute, the serialization of that part in a message is equivalent to an implicit (XML Schema) qualification of a minOccurs attribute with the value "1", a maxOccurs attribute with the value "1" and a nillable attribute with the value "false".

Mutual authentication & null cert chain exception
Hi,
I am conteniously recieving "null cert chain" error. When my ssl enabled client mutually authenticate with ssl enabled server. The server refuse to accept client whose certificate is saved as a 'trustedCertEntry' in server's key store. The server throws "null cert chain" exception.
When I run the same client/server by setting setClientAuthentication(false) then both works very well.
The process I had followed is as follows:
- Create a key store for client
- Create a key store for server
- Create a key for client
- Create a key for server
- Export client key
- Export server key
- Import key of server as 'trustedcacert' in client
- Import key of client as 'trustedcacert' in server
- Run Client & Server
Any ideas whats wrong in it ???
Thanx in advance,

Thanks
SBHi Alex,
Please ignore the above bapi call, it is too complex since it is a custom BAPI that Im trying to call. For now, I am trying to call a very simple BAPI --> BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETDETAIL just to make sure that communication is happening.
Here is the WSDL:

WPUMFactory.getUserFactory() throws null pointer exception
Hi,
I am trying to use KM API's to read files from KM repository. I am using the below code as mentioned in the blog: How to download KM documents using Web Dynpro Java
Below is my code:
IWDClientUser wdClientUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
com.sap.security.api.IUser sapUser = wdClientUser.getSAPUser();
IUser epUser = WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getEP5User(sapUser);
However the line WPUMFactory.getUserFactory() throws null pointer exception. Can some one please help on why these happens as these seems to be the standard code to read a file from KM.
Thanks.
Regards,
Ponraj MHi Ponraj ,
Instead of fetching the current logged on user , use the below line to set the resource context and see if it helps .
com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResourceContext resourceContext = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getServiceContext("cmadmin_service");
cmadmin_service is a existing user that can be used to access KM resources .

Class.forName() throws null exception in servlet
Hi, just wondering if anyone having this similar problem:
when i try to load a class using Class.forName() method inside a servlet, it throws null exception.
1) The exception thrown is neither ClassNotFoundException nor any other Error, it's "null" exception.
2) There's nothing wrong with the code, in fact, the same code has been testing in swing before, works perfectly.
3) I have include all necessary jars/classes into the path, even if i haven't, it should throw ClassNotFoundException instead, not "null" exception.I have tried to detect any possible nullable variable, and it is able to run until line 15. The exception thrown is actually null only... not NullPointerException... which is why i have confused...
the message i received is "PlugInException: null".
The code is at follow:
* Load plugin
* @return ArrayList of plugins
* @exception PlugInException PlugInException
01 public ArrayList loadPlugin()
02 throws PlugInException
03 {
04 PlugIn plugin;
05 ArrayList plugins = new ArrayList();

SOAP element wsse:Security with mustUnderstand="1"(SBL-EAI-08000)
Attempting to access Siebel (CRM On Demand) web service using Weblogic web service data control in JDeveloper, set web service security policy to "oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy", receiving the following error:
The Web Service call failed. The service returned a SOAP fault with the message: [SOAP-ENV:MustUnderstand] Unable to process SOAP Header child element 'wsse:Security' with 'mustUnderstand="1"'(SBL-EAI-08000)
How can I set mustUnderstand="0" in the SOAP request? (I cannot change the web service to accept mustUnderstand="1")
Thanks!
Edited by: user507901 on Dec 12, 2009 2:09 PMI am experiencing the exact same problem. From my research, it appears that the problem has to do with the namespace and WS-Security version compatibility.

Hi Everyone,
I tried to implement the following scenario SOAP--> XI --> IDOC(R/3). I created all the necessary objects,mapping, Channels. When tried to check the SOAP adapter with http://<hostname>:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<service name>:<channelname>, i got the reply as Message STATUS OK.
But when i checked the http://<hostname>:50000/XISOAPAdapter/HelperServlet?action=FindChannel&%20channel=:<service name>:<channelname>. i got the following error

Can any one tell me how to proceed.

BhaskarHi Everyone,
It is my mistake, I entered the space between the "Find Channel" and "Channel" in the following URL
http://<hostname>:50000/XISOAPAdapter/HelperServlet?action=FindChannel&%20channel=:<service name>:<channelname>
By removing that it worked fine.

Namespace prefix in SOAP Elements causes problems in XI
Hi guys,
I'm using code generated by NW Developer Studio for use inside Portal components acting as a web service consumer. The problem is that the code generated includes a namespace prefix for each element in the body of the message, but XI doesn't like the namespace prefixes and throws back a DeliveryException.
The SOAP message created by the generated NWDS code is:
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:wn3="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema" xmlns:wn2="http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema" xmlns:wn1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:wn0="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:wn4="http://allieddomecq.com/poc" xmlns:tns="http://allieddomecq.com/poc">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<wn4:PortalSOAP_MT_Request>
<wn4:CustomerIdentifier>0001000064</wn4:CustomerIdentifier>
<wn4:SalesOrganization>ES50</wn4:SalesOrganization>
<wn4:SystemIdentifier>R3D</wn4:SystemIdentifier>
</wn4:PortalSOAP_MT_Request>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
The problem is the "wn4" prefixes on the CustomerIdentifier, SalesOrganization, and SystemIdentifier tags. When we send the soap request from XML Spy without the prefixes, the response comes back OK with the expected data.
I've had a very good look around the generated code - the serializers for creating the soap request - but could not find what exactly might be changed to leave off the prefixes.
Alternatively, is there something I could ask our XI consultant to do, to make his component accept the request with the redundant prefixes in the tags?
Many thanks for any advice/help,
LauraHi Laura,
you have to realize that the two documents
<ns:CustomerRecord xmlns:ns="http://company.com">
<ns:CustomerNumber> </ns:CustomerNumber>
<ns:CustomerDetails> </ns:CustomerDetails>
</ns:CustomerRecord>
and
<ns:CustomerRecord xmlns:ns="http://company.com">
<CustomerNumber> </CustomerNumber>
<CustomerDetails> </CustomerDetails>
</ns:CustomerRecord>
from an XMl point of view have totally fifferent structure. Thus, a mapping which is able to deal with the first structure will fail for the second and vice versa.
Surely, both structures somehow can carry the same information, but they do this with different languages (Maybe you can compare this to the fact, that you may deliver the same information in English or in German language).
When you model the structure in Integration Repository using datatypes and message types (what I think you did), you will always get a structure that looks like the second one. This is just a convention (like the convention that all information in this forum should be presented in English). When defining a message mapping for this structure it also relies on this fact and thus will not understand the other kind of document.
External Definitions are more flexible. They are also able to understand structures that are modelled the other way. This greater flexibility is due to the fact that External Definitions were designed to understand structures that come from an external world where different conventionts might be used.
To come to a conclusion: If the structure you have to deal with has been defined externally then it is not intended that you model it inside the Integration Builder using datatypes and message types. In this case the external source should provide a description of the message as XSD, WSDL, or DTD. You upload this as External Definition, and everything works fine.
If you have designed the structure yourself, you can model it with datatypes and message types. But then you will always get a structure which looks like the second one. In this case you should make sure that all other participants in the game also stick to that structure. Then everything will be fine, too.

HI
One of my RUSSIA Consultant ( where maximum PDF's are being used) is trying to generate a report PDF forms .
When consultant generating the required report for 1 user - the PDF form is opening,
But, When he is trying to generate for mass users (like a for a business unit around 1500 users) , he is getting the error as below
Error we are getting
ADS: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionFault : SOAP(100102)
FPRUNX001
Diagnosis
An error occurred when Adobe Document Services (ADS) was launched.
System Response
Error message
Procedure
When troubleshooting, follow the steps described in SAP Note 944221.
First check the connection to ADS.
You can use the program FP_PDF_TEST_00 to do this.
From SAP NetWeaver Release 7.0, the program
FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE must also run successfully
(both with and without the checkbox selected on the selection screen). If this program does not run successfully, there is a error in the configuration.
Please note for 1 user it is working, but for mass users it is not working.
I requested them to do in slice the data and do this, but for what ever reasons, they require this in a single run (let us not challenge there why sliced runs can not work)
can any one throw some light on this issues
Rgds
PRHello,
Did you check SAP Note 944221?
Also check following :
On the J2EE Engine on which the ADS runs, use the Visual Administrator to check the attributes of the following specified services.
"Visual Admin -> Server -> Services -> Document Services Data Manager".
The attribute "enableSSL" must be set to "false".
If this is not the case, change and save the setting to "false". Then restart the J2EE Engine. Note that restarting only the services is insufficient in this case.
Thanks,
Ravi
