• Indesign debug version(64 bit) throws exception while loading pluggin

I build a sample plugin in Microsoft Visual Studios 2010 in debug X64 mode and copied the generated files from debugX64 folder to the plugin folder inside indesign folder.
But In-design is throwing exception in loading the plugin. Any help will be appreciated. Please note that same plugin when compiled and released using release version of indesign is working.

The issue was I trying to load 64 bit pluggin into 32 bit version of Indesign. Got resolved after loading into correct version.

Mandy,
I've run into this as well. It ONLY occurs when we're doing load testing
too. I guessed that it was some sort of timing issue accessing a socket
that had been closed or something...
This may seem like a strange question, but did the tests indicate an error
on the clients? Our tests did not, which indicated that the error was
(perhaps) handled internally.

I don't see this if I put the load down to 10 processes so am concerned
why this might be happening. Our production server is currently running
Weblogic 3.1.8 under JDK 1.1.6 and I know I need to upgrade to version

recommend 4.0.3 over 4.0.2?
Any help appreciated

Hi Russell,
In our case the exception does get propogated to the client. I've traced the
problem down to the following line:
e = postInvoke(current, newTx,
((EJBSpnAPIBeanHomeImpl)ejbHome).md_getRule
GraphFileSummaryForSpn_SpnKey, e);
I think.
Has anyone else had similiar issues? Again, all works fine under 3.1.8 so I'm
reluctant to upgrade.

Hi,
We are researching your issue. Please clarify my question with detailed information:
1. Do you get the error in your first post when you click ‘Download report’ after you run load test from
Visual Studio 2013 on
team foundation service?
2 You said that ‘I am trying to import the test results into a Visual Studio 2012 (Update 3) on-prem instance’, what and where is
your load test result repository? A SQL Server database or the default database:LoadTest2010 in SQL Express on the same machine with Visual Studio 2013?
3 Whether you specify the load test result repository under Load Test->Manage Test Controller?
4. What error do you get? Please provide us more detailed information about the error message or share us with a screenshot.
5 Whether you can run the load test successfully locally and get the load test result with the same load test result database?
6 You said that your co-worker can work fine. Please check whether your account has enough permissions for load test result database and download load test result from TFS to load test result database based on the account
permission of your co-work.

• OutOfMermory errors running load test

We are running load tests on VS 2013 - 2k users - and are consistently getting out of memory errors. When we look at the services we can see that the QTController service has (32 bit) after it. Our assumption is that this is what is causing the problem,
but we are not able to get the controller - or agents - to run in 64-bit mode.
Entire lab is running on Windows 2012 R2 Enterprise.
Thanks!

Hi SharonBjeletich,
Your assumption is right. Running test agents on 64 bit OS in a 32 bit test run may cause Out of Memory exception in load test.
In order to set test agents to run on 64 bit process if the test agent is a 64 bit machine, please you’re your test settings file in this solution and select
Hosts --> Run tests in 32 bit or 64 bit process --> Run tests in 64 bit process on 64 bit machine
About how to resolve ‘out of memory exception’ in web/load test, the following blogs gave detailed explanations and troubleshooting methods:
Resolve “Out of Memory exception“ in VSTS Web/ Load test

• Load testing in Oracle BPM

Hi,
Can anyone help me how to perform Load testing in Oracle BPM
Regards,
Jai

Hi Jai,
What we are using is Oracle ATS (Application Test Suite) for both functional and load testing (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/app-test/etest-101273.html) .
Of course there are a lot of open source tools that you can also use such as JMeter.

• Weblogic 10.3.2: Under load, system gives 404 error when accessing page

Hi all,
I am running Weblogic 10.3.2 with a J2EE EAR deployed against it. I am using JDBC data sources to connect to an Oracle 11g database. I am running on Linux Red Hat 5. The machine has 16 GB RAM and 16 cores of an Intel Xeon processor.
I have recorded some Grinder scripts to simulate the HTTP requests going back and forth from the web browser to the app server in an attempt to play them back in volume to do some load testing. I am finding that even under relatively moderate load, after some time (say 30-60 minutes) when trying to access the application in my web browser (and in Grinder), I am getting 404 errors.
The strange thing is that the app server is still running fine and there are no errors thrown in any Weblogic log file. There is nothing wrong in the verbosegc log file and the CPU usage via "sar" is very low. The number of JDBC connections is well below the threshold for concern. Sometimes, if I wait a while (hours or more), it sometimes comes back up and works fine again, until the next worjload hits it. I have studied thread dumps and see nothing unusual.
I've been very puzzled with this for days. Does anyone else know what might be wrong or something else I could check to get more information?

Hi, I have the same kind of problem. but when it happens I noticed strange line in the access.log like these ones :
access.log00003:192.168.104.198 - - [20/Apr/2012:12:16:45 +0200] "ancelActionID=CCACustomerProfile&contactreasonwrapuplaunchable=true&contactCode=&contactType=&contactInformation=&Customer.CustomerNumber=5146990&processheadertitle=&PageState.CaseNumber=&PageState.CaseReference=&caseId=42ceed6436cbd7c70136cf3ea82c3b4a&" 404 0
access.log00004:192.168.104.122 - - [20/Apr/2012:14:02:16 +0200] "s-xpsdocument, application/x-ms-xbap, application/x-ms-application, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, */*" 404 0
access.log00004:192.168.105.122 - - [20/Apr/2012:14:02:18 +0200] "-ms-xbap, application/x-ms-application, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, */*" 404 0
access.log00004:192.168.104.122 - - [20/Apr/2012:14:02:20 +0200] "application/x-ms-application, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, */*" 404 1214
As you can see, instead of containiing the HTTP action (GET/POST /someurl HTTP/1.1) it contains part of the url or even part of the Accept http header...
When your 404 happened did you have those strange entries in your access.log ? Did you succeed in resolving it ?

• How do i backup the list of load images automatically exceptions under Options- Content. I want to transfer to another comp without re-adding one at a time

How do i backup the list of load images automatically exceptions under Options->Content. I want to transfer to another comp without re-adding one at a time. EVen if there is no way to backup, what is the system file for Firefox that stores these, so i can transfer this file or open it in an XML or similar editor to copy them out?

The permissions.sqlite file stores 'allow' and 'block' exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and extensions (software) installation.

Hi Maris,
I see that you have create-default-dbms-tables set to true so WLS should be creating
the database table for your EJB. If you can give me some more information, I'll be
able to help you further. What version of WLS + service pack are you using? Also,
is this a 1.1 bean or 2.0? Lastly, what are the types of the CMP fields in your
bean?
As a work-around, you can try creating the database table yourself before deploying
the bean. This should resolve the deployment problem.

• Need help with getResource() problem under weblogic 6.1

Hey all,
I've got a serious problem that I can't figure out. This should be really
simple - but it's alluding me. I have an ear file with a number of servlets
inside it. This ear file also contains a resource that my servlets want to
read from. This resource is located (within the ear file) at:
"/content/structure/a.txt". The file contains raw ascii.
To have my serlvet read from this file, I thought it would be as simple as:
URL content =
servlet.getServletContext().getResource("/content/structure/a.txt");
// pw is an instance of PrintWriter
pw.print(content.getContent());
However, when I execute the above I get the following exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at
java.net.URLConnection.stripOffParameters(URLConnection.java:1011)
at java.net.URLConnection.getContentHandler(URLConnection.java:979)
at java.net.URLConnection.getContent(URLConnection.java:581)
OK, so fine - I figure that I'm new to this. The documentation for the URL
class tells me there is another way around this. It says that rather then
calling getContent() directly, I can open a stream on the URL and read from
that, like so:
URL content =
servlet.getServletContext().getResource("/content/structure/scenario2resourc
es.txt");
FileInputStream fis = content.openStream();
but when I do this I get the following different exception:
java.lang.ClassCastException: weblogic.utils.zip.SafeZipFileInputStream^M
at Utility.writeFileToOutput(Utility.java:134)^M
Apparently this thing is trying to return a web-logic-specific stream (which
is incompatible with an FileInputStream) - which I don't want to use or
learn about since I want my stuff to work under other webservers.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? This should be simple.

Wenjin,
I appreciate your response. I tried treating it as a normal InputStream -
but it didn't make any difference. Here's what I did:
URL content =
servlet.getServletContext().getResource("/content/structure/scenario2resourc
es.txt");
InputStream is = (InputStream)content.getContent();
And here's the exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException^M
at
java.net.URLConnection.stripOffParameters(URLConnection.java:1011)^M
at
java.net.URLConnection.getContentHandler(URLConnection.java:979)^M
at java.net.URLConnection.getContent(URLConnection.java:554)^M
at java.net.URL.getContent(URL.java:807)^M
at Utility.writeFileToOutput(Utility.java:134)^M
You can see that it is definitely breaking somewhere in getContent().
If you have any other ideas, I'd appreciate hearing about them.
-john

• Late 2012 iMac 27" reboots while under load - please help!

It seems that every time I put my iMac under load, usually GPU load, such as in playing games or watching movies - I get a kernel panic and the system reboots.
I need help deciphering the dump. The iMac has been doing this for the last few months and it seems to be getting worse. Here are two kernel panics from today. I was watching an mkv and copying (via terminal) a lot of files.

I'm using weblogic 10. My application is a webservice client generated using '*clientgen*', which is running on weblogic, and
is invoking a remotely hosted webservice ( Remotely hoseted webservice may not be running on weblogic).
I've the wsdl file of remotely hosted webservice.
Now the problem is with WSDL file (I suppose), have a look at this.
*<message name="m1">*
*<part name="body" element="tns:GetCompanyInfo"/>*
*</message>*
*<message name="m2">*
*<part name="body" element="tns:GetCompanyInfoResult"/>*
*<part name="docs" type="xsd:AnyComplexType"/> ------> assume all elements inside this complex type can be nil or minOccurs set to '0'*
*<part name="logo" type="xsd:AnyOtherComplexType"/> ------> assume all elements inside this complex type can be nil or minOccurs set to '0'*
*</message>*
<portType name="pt1">
<operation name="GetCompanyInfo">
<input message="m1"/>
*<output message="m2"/> -----> multi part message.*
</operation>
</portType>
Now here is sample message for the request(I've composed this message for this question):
<soap:Envelope> MESSAGE1
<soap:header/>
<soap:body>
<tns:m2>
<tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
Blah Blah....
</tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
<tns:docs>
Blah Blah....
</tns:docs> Assume no data for 'logo', so it's not returned. Since all its elements can be nillable.
<tns:m2>
</soap:body>
</soap:Envelope>
First of all, is this SOAP response is valid? I'm not sure about *'message' and 'parts' in SOAP*, but according to XML schema standards it's invalid.
Because, according to *'message' m2, 'logo' is missing*, eventhough all it's elements are nillable in such case there should be *<logo/>* at the end.
I mean valid message should be like below
<soap:Envelope> '*MESSAGE2*'
<soap:header/>
<soap:body>
<tns:m2>
<tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
Blah Blah....
</tns:GetCompanyInfoResult>
<tns:docs>
Blah Blah....
</tns:docs>
*<tns:logo/> ------------------> here is the change compared to above message. empty element.*
<tns:m2>
</soap:body>
</soap:Envelope>
Now the concerns are :
(1) Which is a valid response? Message1 or Message2
(2) If message1 is valid then why is weblogic throwing an exception 'null SOAP element', I suppose this is due to missing 'logo' element.
(To confirm this I've used tcpmonitor and found message1 as response but weblogic is still throwing 'null SOAP Element' exception,
which confirms it needs 'logo' as well, I suppose <logo/> at least). Is there any workaround for this in weblogic for multi-part messages?
(3) If message1 is invalid according to SOAP standards then You've answered my question. ---> I need to talk to the webservice provider in this case.....
Thanks in advance...

Message 1 is not Basic Profile 1.1 compliant. It is specified by BP1.1 in section 4.4.1(http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1.1-2004-08-24.html#Bindings_and_Parts) that when a wsdl:part element is defined using the type attribute, the serialization of that part in a message is equivalent to an implicit (XML Schema) qualification of a minOccurs attribute with the value "1", a maxOccurs attribute with the value "1" and a nillable attribute with the value "false".
