WebLogic Tuxedo Control - TPESVCFAIL errors

Hi,
I am trying to invoke a tux service from WebLogic. In a success scenario, this works well, although when the tux service returns a TPFAIL with a TPESVCFAIL, it seems like I cannot access the return buffer when my process throws the exception...
is it possible for me to do this? get the reply buffer when the process throws this specific exception? The buffer returned contains error messages required in the WLI Process.
The other way I thought of doing it is using the getConnection() method in the Tuxedo Control, to establish a connection, then manually perform a TPCall to the service, and read the buffer and return the information when I receive the TPESVCFAIL. Should I even look at this option? The error i get in the Tuxedo ULOG when i attempt to do it this way is: LIBGW_CAT:1029: ERROR: Service request not forwarded to remote site:"TPETIME - timeout occured" gwerrno(402017)

Hi,
It is possible to get the reply buffer from the exception. The ControlException will contain the TPReplyException. Use the getNestedException() method on the ControlException and make sure it's an instance of TPReplyException. Then you can then use the getExceptionReply() method on the TPReplyException instance to get the reply buffer. But you will need to process the reply yourself, i.e., fall back to JATMI calls to pick apart the Reply instance.
There is a enhancement CR already filed against the control to have it provide its own exception type that would include the deserialized return type in the cases where a reply buffer was provided. This was simply a case I didn't consider, sigh.

  • How to configure Weblogic Tuxedo Connector ?

    Hi:
    I have 2 machines. One machine "A" installed with BEA TUXEDO 8.0 software.
    The other machine "B" doesn't have BEA TUXEDO 8.0 software but it has BEA WebLogic
    Server 6.1
    installed.
    My desire is to be able to make a successful application using WebLogic Tuxedo
    Connector from the machine "B" to machine "A".
    I have tried to follow the instruction for the WebLogic Tuxedo Connector example.
    However, I wasn't able to make the application work. I am suspecting that
    I must have BEA TUXEDO 8.0 software installed into machine "B" in order to make
    it work. Am I right or wrong?

    Khanh,
    You don't need Tuxedo installed on the same machine as WLS to use WTC.
    Your problem must be caused by some error in your configuration, either
    in the dmconfig on the Tuxedo side, or the xml config on the WTC side.
    I think you will need to post more detail to get any further help.
    Regards,
    Peter.

  • WebLogic Timer Control Couldnt start

    I problem starting WL Timer.
    I want to use Timer not in the context of Web Service... I just need it so I can spawn new thread to execute long running process. But when my program (a Java Control) trying to start the timer, it kept give me error:
    <b>weblogic.jws.control.SchedulerException: Unable to schedule Control callback onTimeout for ... (Destionation is null).
    </b>
    What has caused the problem? Any prior configuration required to use this control?
    Thanks

    So I'm creating the timer(weblogic.management.timer.Timer) object in method ejbCreate() in InitBean.
    Yes, when I invoke handling bean by stand alone client all works good.

  • WebLogic Tuxedo Connector config question.

    I am not sured if I experienced a network configuration problem that my WebLogic
    Tuxedo Connector application from My machine "B" (which is a PC with window
    2000 and WebLogic Server 6.1 installed ) to My machine "A" (which is a UNIX
    work station with BEA TUXEDO installed).
    I have decided to do an experiment and receive a result like this:
    Situation 1:
    1) Machine "A" ( UNIX Work Station ... ) hosts a RMI server process.
    2) Machine "B" ( PC Win 2K ... ) run a RMI client process to request
    a service from RMI server above.
    Result: It 's OK
    Situation 2:
    1) Machine "B" hosts a RMI server
    2) Machine "A" run a RMI client to request a service from RMI server above.
    Result: NOT OK
    Does it mean that if my situation 2 doesn't work so is My WebLogic Tuxedo Connector
    application?
    Many Thanks

    Khanh,
    The samples/examples/wtc/atmi/simpserv example shows how to export
    a service defined in WLS to Tuxedo. The problem that you ran into can
    be anything from a configuration error to a usage that was not supported
    for the 6.1 release. Please check the example, your logs and the release
    notes for WLS/WTC 6.1.

    response->set_header_field(

    finally display Excel format in Browser
    l_len = xstrlen( l_xstring ).
    response->set_data( data = l_xstring
    length = l_len ).
    navigation->response_complete( ).
    But I'm getting runtime errors in the line
    response->set_header_field( name = 'content-type'
    value = APP_TYPE ).
    Do you have any idea about how to correct it?
    Or, could you please suggest a simpler method?

    Check the value for the parameter "COMPATIBLE" in the source and standby database instance parameter files.
    "COMPATIBLE" should be the same.
    See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/create_ps.htm#i70517

  • How to control the error messages (like Application..) in visual composer?

    hi
    is it possible to control the error message?
    After creating the delivery using a BAPI function,
    the return message is displayed in the table list if the transaction is succeeded.
    But the error occurred, dialog box is showed (Application Message).
    I just want to show the error message like being succeed in.
    Regards,
    Wooho.

    Hi
    You can try and use guard conditions or check the table for data, if there is no data in the table the application will return an error message.

  • [SOLVED] NetworkManager "not authorized to control networking" error

    I'm installing arch with XFCE on an eeepc-1005ha. My wired ethernet works fine, both with dhcpcd eth0 and the NetworkManager (which connects automatically on boot). I'm following the instructions from this link: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … nager#XFCE
    I installed the NetworkManager and the xfce notify package. From the configuration setting part of the linked page, I disabled my internet connections with these commands:
    ip link set down eth0
    ip link set down wlan0
    I added NetworkManager to the DAEMONS array, after dbus, per the instructions. I still get a "not authorized to control networking" error when I select a wireless network, so I followed the troubleshooting instructions. This is my .xinitrc file:
    #!/bin/sh
    # ~/.xinitrc
    # Executed by startx (run your window manager from here)
    if [ -d /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d ]; then
    for f in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/*; do
    [ -x "$f" ] && . "$f"
    done
    unset f
    fi
    # exec gnome-session
    # exec startkde
    exec startxfce4 --with-ck-launch
    #exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch startxfce4
    # ...or the Window Manager of your choice
    The exec line that's not commented out comes from the XFCE configuration instructions. The troubleshooting instructions for NetworkManager say to add
    exec ck-launch-session wm
    to .xinitrc, where wm is whatever window manager I'm using. Should
    exec ck-launch-session startxfce4
    or
    exec dbus-launch ck-launch-session startxfce4
    work? Neither of those options, nor the commented exec line in .xinitrc work.
    Finally, I followed the NetworkManager troubleshooting instructions and added my user to the wheel group, using this command:
    gpasswd -a myusername wheel
    After a reboot, everything else still works (wired ethernet, xfce4, etc.) but the error upon connecting to wireless is still the same.
    Any ideas? My user (username: myusername) does have full sudo privileges for this hostname.

  • Coherence and WebLogic Operations Control

    Has anybody tried using WebLogic Operations Control to control a Coherence cluster? I have seen demo screen shots of it working but I am having trouble setting this up myself. All the documentation is more around controlling a set of WebLogic servers so not much help really.
    I can configure the controller to start a cache server on an agent but the controller cannot see that the cache has started so after about 5 minutes kills it and does a re-start.
    What I would really like is a step-by-step guide or a copy of the controller and agent configuration files from someone who has had this working.
    Cheers,
    JK.

    Hi Jonathan,
    We have a document we use for internal purposes that explains setting up a coherence service in WebLogic Operations Control (WLOC). This document is currently being edited for external use. The reason it is being edited is that it currently contains directories that match up with a preconfigured setup. If you give me your e-mail address I could send it to you in its current form. You will need to change the directories mentioned in it to match what you have in your environment. I can also send you the final metadata-config.xml that has the coherence service definition in it.
    The edited version of the doc will shortly be available on the WLOC OTN site (http://www.oracle.com/appserver/weblogic/operations-control.html).
    Thanks for your interest.

    public String Toupper(String toConvert) throws TPException, TPReplyException {
    Context ctx;
    TuxedoConnectionFactory tcf;
    TuxedoConnection myTux;
    TypedString myData;
    Reply myRtn;
    int status;
    try {
    ctx = new InitialContext();
    tcf = (TuxedoConnectionFactory) ctx.lookup("tuxedo.services.TuxedoConnection");
    catch (NamingException ne) {
    // Could not get the tuxedo object, throw TPENOENT
    myTux = tcf.getTuxedoConnection();
    myData = new TypedString(toConvert);
    try {
    myRtn = myTux.tpcall("TOUPPER", myData, 0);
    } catch (TPReplyException tre) {
    throw tre;
    } catch (TPException te) {
    throw te;
    } catch (Exception ee) {
    throw new TPException(TPException.TPESYSTEM, "Exception: " + ee);
    myData = (TypedString) myRtn.getReplyBuffer();
    myTux.tpterm(); // Closing the association with Tuxedo
    return (myData.toString());
    The point is the Tuxedo service provider gave me some examples written in C (not Java) which use TPINIT structure to supply programatically authentication params (usrname, grpname, cltname, ...) before starting the connection and calling tpcall().
    Where do these params enter the model above? Should they be supplied programatically inside my client code or should they be configured in WTC?
    Any help will be highly appreciated, many thanks

    Hi:
    This information is done under-the-covers through configuration:
    "Security and client authentication is provided by configuring the Remote TDM and Imported Services MBean components of a WTCServer MBean. This pathway is created when the WebLogic Server is started and a WTCServer MBean is present in the config.xml file and assigned (targeted) to a server."
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs91/wtc_atmi/Clients.html
    Using WTC you are trying to call Tuxedo services through Tuxedo domains. Your Tuxedo service provider should have domains configured and provide you with
    configuration information to define the remote access points and the services that are provided those those remote access points. Your WTC local access point will become
    a remote access point to your service provider's domains.
    Here is the WTC admin guide link:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs92/wtc_admin/index.html
    If your Tuxedo service provider does not have domains configured then you can not use WTC. You will need to find out what ways they allow remote connections to access their Tuxedo services.

  • Weblogic upgrade and WSDL error

    Hello all,
    we are trying to upgrade our Weblogic Server from version 10.1 to 11.3 and we are having some problems with our project of JAX-WS web services.
    Nowadays we are using the IDE Bea Workshop for Weblogic 10.1 and the web services project runs perfectly. We can generate the WSDL file and deploy them without issues.
    The IDE for the new Weblogic 11.3 is Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (Eclipse Galileo 3.5). We are able to compile the same web services project in it but when we try to create the WSDL we get some exceptions and the descriptor is not generated. The error log is the following:

    Is anyone having the problem? What is the different between the two IDE's and why we can't generate the WSDL in Eclipse Galileo?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Do you have any Method defined inside your WebService which is not Annotated with *"@javax.jws.WebMethod"* Annotation?
    If you dont want to publish those methods as WebMethod. It Means......If you have some methods without @WebMethod Annotation declared inside your WebService class ......then Please add the following annotations to them
    @WebMethod(exclude=true)
    exclude Means: Marks a method to NOT be exposed as a web method.
    (Declare the Methods Which u DONOT WANT to publish as WebMentods but still want to declare inside your WebService class)
    Thanks
