Weblogic workshop batch process

hi all,
am new to weblogic workshop. am looking to see how we can start a batch process in wlw (weblogic workshop) that in turn does a few activities like checking for file exsistence from previous application and if not copying it over from the backup directory on the server.
hope to get a response soon.
cheers

And you're asking about BEA's products at Sun's forum why exactly?

    From the error logs we can trace it out to the web project's Build.xml file ....I was getting a similar error and by commenting out the following lines in the web project's Build.xml I am able to run the build script correctly and get a EAR file. The lines are
    <!--
    <assemble
    moduleDir="${generated.module.root}"
    moduleName="${project.name}"
    srcOutputDir="${assembly.src}"
    appRootDir="${ear.root}">

    <assemblyContext factory="org.apache.beehive.controls.runtime.assembly.AppAssemblyContext$Factory" />

    <fileset dir="${project.dir}">
    <include name="**/*.controls.properties" />
    </fileset>
    </assemble>
         -->
    Please check it now, also if any one can let us know the function or role played by the above lines it would be great. Also if there would be any future or unseen problems by commenting out these lines please do let us know...
    Thanks

  • Invoking web service using Weblogic Workshop (JCX)

    Invoking web service using Weblogic Workshop
    Posted: 5 Jan 2005 23:31 PM Reply
    Hi,
    I have WSDL from which I have generated a web service control (.jcx) using Weblogic Workshop.
    I need to write a client which will invoke the web service using the control.
    Can someone help me on how to go about this ?
    BTW .. I also tried the clientgen route and tried to generated the proxy jar from the WSDL but wasn't successful because of a existing clientgen bug.

    Hi,
    if the consumer of the webservice is a control-aware consumer ( pageflow, control, process ) simply drag the control to this consumer and the control variable is ready for use.
    if the consumer is not control-aware, try to generate a proxy using eg. the axis tool, or handcode your proxy class.

  • Batch process cwk docs to open in pages?

    Hello, asking I hope a simple question: does anyone know how or have a script to ask Mac OS 4.11 to open .cwk documents into Pages '09 as a batch processing action?  I need a bunch of files from a workshop my sister did many years ago (still on her G3 iMac running Panther I think) - they are sooo old they are from Appleworks.  It would be great if there was a fast way to open AND save them at once. We have set her computer to open all cwk docs in Pages '09 but that is as far as our expertise extends. BTW, she can also transfer and open them on her new MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 - we just started with Tiger since it was closer in age to the G3.
    Thanks
    PS sorry if this is a common question, my search didn't turn up anything

  • Authentication error weblogic workshop

    Hi ,
    I am trying to debugg my application with weblogic workshop but its
    giving authentication error. My application is deployed and i can access it
    . I am using ant . Actually when i click the debug button it statrts the
    build and after successful termination of the build process it opens the
    debug view but gives the following error :-
    Authentication Failure when connecting to server
    Check your weblogic server username and password are correct and that the

    I have given the same username and password in workshop that i gave while
    configuring my domain. I guess workshop is not able to communicate with the
    server . Please help me out. I have spent enough time resolving this.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    I have created a session EJB in Weblogic workshop. In the propertyeditor, I have set the "type" to "Stateful". I have then set the
    max-beans-in-free-pool to 1. I build my ejb project, and I get the below
    error:
    "A Stateless Session Bean cannot have a tag max-beans-in-free-pool". Thisdoesn't make any sense to me since I have specified that it is a "Stateful"
    session bean. I am using Weblogic workshop 8.1 sp2

  • Random Error in Batch Processing

    Hi All,
    I have a batch process that reads records from DB, pass them to Mediator which calls a BPEL process. During a huge batch processing of 10000 records, we are getting errors in random fashion as under. This error is not specific to a particular record because on the second run with same records exception is seen for some different records. The instance is seen as faulted in the EM console.

  • How to speed up the BEA weblogic workshop perforkmance?

    Hi,
    Does anybody knows how to speed up the BEA weblogic workshop,as it consumes heavy memory.
    I've configured the settings in workshop.cfg file and set the maximum memory size as 1024m midium size 516m and minimum size as 256m
    and deleted all the files from .workshop directory before open up the workshop file.
    But it hanging up the system when i opened the worshop file after some time. what could be the problem . i am using 2GB ram size

    Hi Vishnu,
    I agree this can also be one of the reason for the performance. There is Trend Micro Office Scan client installed on my system, but i couldn't not do any settings ,as it is disabled by sys admin .
    however, i removed all the scanning processes from task manager and set the high priority for the java process! still, no improvement. There are only few jpd files not even 500kb size, but when i open them, weblogic cried and utilized lots lots of memory! :-(
    I am afraid to open the weblogic which had jpd files,as it hanged my whole system, unable to perform any other tasks!

    Vikram,
    Can you check the startweblogic.cmd script and verify that the following
    property -Dweblogic.jws.ProductionMode is set to true ?

    Hi,
    We have created a set of Web Services using Web Logic Workshop. They workfine
    on the development server(Weblogic 7.0 SP4) when run from Workshop. Wepackaged
    the Services into an EAR file and deployed them on the Production Server(Weblogic
    7.0 SP4, Platform Domain) where the property WLS_PROD_MODE is set to True.When
    we try to access a Web Service thru the URL, we are getting a Null Pointerexception.

  • Upgrade Weblogic Workshop8.1 to Weblogic Workshop 10.2

    Hi,
    I am upgrading my application developed using weblogic workshop 8.1 sp4 to weblogic 10.2 using BEA workspace studio. In the process of upgrading, I encounterd following error:
    "*Invalid Workshop 8.1 Application, only applications built with SP4, SP5 or SP6 are supported*. " in the Workshop 8.1 Application Upgrade wizard after selecting .work file. As, I mentioned our application developed using workshop 8.1 SP4.
    Pls, anyone has solution for this.

  • Weblogic WorkShop IDE does not start

    I reproduced this problem on my 2 CPU x86 laptop with Solaris 11,
    and I think I know what is the root of the problem.
    It seems to be a scheduling problem. If I run these "cpu-eating"
    programs without setting priority, prstat shows that they get high priority:
    PID USERNAME SIZE RSS STATE PRI NICE TIME CPU PROCESS/NLWP
    6449 nikm 1448K 768K run 10 0 0:17:04 50% loop_sqrt_1/1
    6637 nikm 1448K 768K cpu0 10 0 0:12:19 49% loop_sqrt_1/1
    They both have PRI=10, NICE=0. As a result they do not allow java
    to get enough cpu time to start Sun Studio IDE, because it runs with
    lower priority: PRI=59, NICE=0
    6680 nikm 311M 26M run 59 0 0:00:00 0.0% java/13
    If I run these "cpu-eating" programs with a specified low priority,
    everything works just fine, and Sun Studio IDE starts without
    any problems. Try to run them using "nice -20":
    nice -20 loop_sqrt_1 &
    nice -20 loop_sqrt_1 &
    sunstudio &
    Perhaps we shall set priority in the "sunstudio" script to avoid such conflicts.
    Thanks,
    Nik

  • Batch processing using JPD suitability

    Hello,
    In our company, we are using Weblogic Integration 8.1.6 for batch DB processing mixed with some business logic. We have a few applications built around this: an event generator is fired and a JPD (with DB controls and other controls calling EJBs and WSs) runs to process large CSV files (8MB) into the DB, with some other queries for business data in between, on a daily basis.
    However, we have been facing (and still are facing) many problems with those JPDs. It seems to me that they are not such a good choice for long running batches. There is always something: memory is to low, memory is too high (yes! there was a time when we had to lower the instance memory from 1.5GB to 1GB, to prevent it from crashing, after endless trial and error), the transaction timeout is too short (in the descriptors or domain wide), processes cannot be monitored in the WLI console for unknown reasons, transaction handling is not clear (you cannot avoid transactions inside the JPD; it is forced by default - you can only disable it through the datasource) and more problems that happened throughout the past few years, which required rather tedious trial-and-error solving.
    My question is: are JPDs really suitable/intended for long batch processing? The event generators certainly invite you into using them for that purpose. Is anybody else using them for that? Or is everyone else happy with batch EXEs?

  • Weblogic workshop denugger proxy

    Hi,
    Whenever I started debugging a web app, I got the following warning message:
    The debugger proxy is not running on the same machine as your Weblogic Server. You will not be able to hit breakpoints. You will need to restart your server to debug.
    Restarting server dis not eliminate this message.
    Thanks,

    In WLW 8.1, to debug the server you need to be running the debugger proxy, which is a separate process on the same machine as your server. The default startup scripts will start and stop the proxy automatically for you, but if the user has created a custom startWebLogic.cmd/sh, it may not be running. In startWebLogic.cmd, there should be a line that looks something like:
    start "WebLogic Workshop Debugger..." /B %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -classpath %DEBUG_CLASSPATH% %DBG_JAVA_OPTIONS% weblogic.debugging.engine.DbgMain
    Take a look at the startWebLogic scripts that come with the domain for SamplesApp for more detail.
    If the proxy is not running, you can debug the server as a "Non Workshop Server", but you lose some features like the ability to debug server-side JavaScript and seeing the output stream as it is being written back to the client when debugging JSPs.

  • In Bridge CS6, the "Tools" tab is missing the "Photoshop" option to batch process image

    Hello!
    Does anyone know why in Bridge cs6 under the "Tools" tab, my "Photoshop" option is missing?  That is how I have always batch processed images.  In Bridge, I choose the images to process, go to the "Tools" tab, down to the "Photoshop" option then to "Image Processor" and process.  Now when I go into my "Tools" tab it only has the options: Batch Rename, 4 kinds of Metadata related options and Cache.  Can someone tell me why this has happened and how to fix it?  Thank you!!!
    Eric

    Hello Omke,
    This problem lasted for two days.  I tried many suggestions but nothing worked immediately.  Suddenly I turned my computer on last night and it was fixed...inexplicably.  Not sure what worked but something did.  I appreciate you taking the time to offer advice.
    Best,
