Webreport (or Query) deployment to EP?

Hi Experts,
I would need to deploy a webreport (or a BEx Query) to the EP. I have created the webreport and made a new iView (type 'iView SAP-BW Report') on EP. I set the 'Query-String BEx Web Application' parameter of the iView to the tech name of the Webreport. It does not work. A blank page appears with icons on the top of the page (table, graphs etc.)
How can I do that?
(I am using BW 3.1 and EP 6.0)

if yes check ur BW WAS system property under portal.
check the user mapping done correctly.

You can copy the Query Template xml file from server to server. The file is in C:\Lighthammer\Illuminator\Templates.
Or, why don't you create a Virtual Server connection to the server that has the same query template? If the template calls the same database (or datasource) try this method. Meaning if you have a database in Pennsylvania that the xMII server in Pennsylvania calls and you want to copy that query to a server in Texas that queries the database in Pennsylvania, just point the Texas xMII server to the Pennsylvania xMII server.

How to query deployment status.

Hi all
I'm trying to get the list of deployments in the admin console, namely, I'm trying to get the same thing you get when you go to Domain Structure -> Deployments, the list with the status of all the deployments, I need a third party application to check their health. Either by using a java or the command line tools, is that possible?
I've tried the utilities (weblogic.Admin and weblogic.Deployer) and using the API that comes with Weblogic, but they don't seem to list the same things I get in the admin web interface. Any ideas?

you can use WLST to get status of all deployed apps.

The problem here is that you compare an input-parameter with an embeddable field of your entity.
Regarding to the JPQL-grammer (spec 4.14) you are not allowed to compare
with the non-terminal embeddable field but with the terminal fields of your
embeddable. Stating that your embedded class might have the fields
startTime and endTime your JPQL query might look like this:

With that help I was able to get it up and running for the timeSlice field but
I don't see the difference to the dayOfAggregation field which is also just
another embedded class using an object of a class annotated with
@Embeddable.
The get method of the dayOfAggregation field is as follows:

I'm trying to deploy an application containing 2.0 style CMPs to OC4J 9.0.3...
One of the CMP beans has a EJB-QL finder method. I packaged the application using Ant and tried deploying it to OC4J.

BEx Selection screen Hierarchy display (text - key)

Hi,
We have a new query deployed that uses several hierarchies in the selection screen.
When running the reports, the drop down for the hierarchies on the variable selection screen displays the full text.
However, the users are more familiar with the key value and would prefer to see that. In the actual report, the keys are displayed.
I am trying to find where the default display can be set for the hierarchies on the BEx selection screen so I can show the key values?

Create a FM like below and a wrapper for it so you can call it as part of process chain; we load all of our hierarchies then call this:

Error executing the Query after deploying and executing the application in WLS 6.1 SP3

Hi,
We are trying to run a application by deploying a war file on Web Logic Server
6.1 SP3. After deploying and at the time of execution of the application, the
server console displays this error message
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ttcgcshnd-1],
[0], [], [], [], [], [], []
While debugging thru the application we found that this error comes at the time
of execution of the query thru the Statement.executeQuery method of java.sql.Statement
class.
This same application when deployed on Web Logic Server 8.1 runs perfectly, without
any hitches.
Please, provide me the solution to this asap.

The next version of Apache that we will support will be 2.0.42/2.0.43

the module for that will be included in the next Service Pack for6.1(SP4)
and 7.0(SP2).
The problem with Apache 2 is that when a new release comes out a newmodule
needs to be compiled. Most of the time. For 2.0.42/2.0.43 this is notthe
case.

I've installed Apache 2.0.40.
I've copied the mod_wl_20.so file into the apache modules folder.
I've edited the httpd.conf file and added the line:

Looking at previous postings it sounds like there's an issue with
versions
of apache after 2.0.39 but I can't find a download for that version.Also,
it sounded like the issues were for WLS 7, not 6.1. Can this work
with
2.0.40 or am I wasting my time?
If I get the mod_wl_20.so from dev2dev I get the "incompatible plugin"
message that has been mentioned in this group already.
Any suggestions appreciated,

Query related to UPN Suffix in Hierarchical domain architecture in Active Directory deployment

This is regarding a query related to UPN Suffix in Hierarchical domain architecture in Active Directory deployment.
We use LDAP query (filter uPNSuffixes=* for the parent domain DN) to retrieve the upn suffixes configured in the AD Domain. This returns the UpnSuffixes configured for the entire domain tree ( upnsuffixes of parent domain and all the child domains) in the
hierarchy. The AD Domains and Trusts configuration lists all the upnsuffixes as part of the dnsroot domain.
For one of our implementation, we need to distinguish between the UPNsuffixes belonging to the parent and child domain and map the UPN suffixes with the respective domain in the hierarchy. As the upnsuffixes are stored as part of the root domain in the AD
domains and trusts configuration, it was not clear how to retrieve the information specific to each domain in the hierarchy.
It would be helpful if you could provide pointers on how to obtain the above mapping for the upn suffixes in a hierarchical domain setup.

By default, you can use only the domain name as UPN suffix for user accounts you create within the domain. It is possible to add extra UPN suffixes but these are added at the forest level and not specific to a domain.

Query regarding App V Deployment - (Deploying DriverMSI in App - V)

This is my query regarding deployment of a driver MSI using App V. I have tried sequencing "NMap software" which has Kernel driver as service. I have separated the Kernel driver and wrapped in an MSI and tried deploying the Kernel Driver MSI using
the DeploymentConfig.xml file but its not happening.
I have tried writing script in DeploymentConfig.xml in AddPackage Tag as shown in the below commands where I have added driver MSI in sequenced package, and tried deploying the DeploymentConfig.xml in powershell during Add-Package event but the driver
MSI is not getting installed in Client machine.

1. Included the driver MSI in Package Files Tab in sequencer and called the same MSI in DeploymentConfig.xml using the below script.

2. After the above steps, deployed the AppV package along with DeploymentConfig.xml in App V Client using the commands mentioned below.
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Unrestricted
Import-module Appvclient
Set-AppVClientConfiguration -EnablePackageScripts 1
Add-AppvClientPackage -Path "Path of the AppV file" -DynamicDeploymentConfig "Path of DeploymentConfig.xml"
after trying the above steps the driver MSI is not getting installed.
Method 2:
1. Included the driver MSI and a VBS file(VBS contains script for calling the driverMSI)in Package Files tab in sequencer. Commandlines has been provided calling the vbs file in DeploymetConfig.xml as mentioned below.

SQL query works in SSIS, SSMS/SQL server but fails in deployment?

The SQL query in my execute sql task is correct. It works in SSIS and SSMS also. But, it fails when I deploy my package. The error -
Code: 0xC002F210
Source: MySQLTask Execute SQL Task Description: Executing the query
"UPDATE [MyTable] SET MyCol..."
failed with the following error: "Invalid object name 'MyTable'.".
Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query "ResultSet" property
not set correctly parameters not set correctly or connection not established
correctly.
What could be the reason for this error and how do I fix it ?

Does the database have the object [MyTable]? What is the default schema for the user? Is the table (assuming it exists) in the default schema for the user?

Yes, the DB has the object [MyTable]. The default schema is dbo, as given by SELECT SCHEMA_NAME()
The table is in the default schema for the user as per -
SELECT *
FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES
WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA = SCHEMA_NAME()
AND TABLE_NAME = 'MyTable'

Query to get the Deployment Status of an application - SCCM 2012

Do we have any query/report to get the detailed status report & machine name, user name of a deployment in sccm 2012 as in sccm 2007, instead of clicking on each deployment status to find the machine names and status details?

Like Torsten said, how can you tell the difference between CM12 installed applications and locally installed? Once you can answer that, then you can write report.

BO Production deployment of universes based on SAP BW query

Hi there,
We just set a scenario on a BO development machine, and would like to deploy all these created objects (webi/cr documents, universes based on SAP BW queries... ) to a BO Production machine.
How can this procedure be performed?
As far as I know, import wizard should be used, but what happens with universes that are referring to SAP BW queries? Obviously, universe in BO Production environment should point to the same BW query name, but from SAP BW Production system, not development.
Is import wizard capable of doing this step? If not, what should be done in order to replicate your universes based on BW queries from BO Development to BO Production?

which version of BOBJ are you using? The LifeCycle Manager (LCM) may be interesting for you. Runs only on Windows and only for BOBJ XI 3.1 though.
