Webservice from WSDL with imported XSD

Hi all,
Firstly, as a newbie to Jdeveloper forgive the ignorance....
I'm trying to create and deploy a webservice (created top-down).
I have an XSD, and a WSDL which imports this via a relative reference of the kind ../../ etc. - this validates OK in JDeveloper
When I try to deploy this to WL I get a file not found error for this XSD, it can't find the XSD in the packaged archive to be deployed.
So my question, for the import statement in my WSDL which is currently....
<xsd:import namespace="http://xml.netbeans.org/schema/LoanApplication" schemaLocation="../../../LoanApprover.xsd"/> (i.e. XSD directory relative to WSDL directory at design time)
...what do I need to change it to so that when packaged it can find the XSD ?
Thanks in advance
MarkF

  • WebService - XI - WSDL with addtional XSD-files

    Hi all,
    i have a WSDL-File which contains only the operations of a webservice.
    Then i have different XSD-Files which contains the structure of the data.
    I can't find an external reference in the WSDL-file to the XSD files...
    How do i have to configure my interfaces in XI? If i use the WSDL-file only one parameter is shown (reqeuest).
    If i use the XSD-Files i can do the mapping... But I don't need the WSDL-file??!!
    Any ideas?
    regards

    Hi Wolfgang,
    There is a tag called xsd:location which relates the WSDL to external schema files .
    If you are calling a web service, then you can directly use xsd to create your data types but in some cases operation name is also required which is present in WSDL.
    Data Type is just an way to send the required data, but what operation you are calling from Web Service. A Web Service may contain various operations. So to distinguish, operation name is also required.
    Try creating your message throough XML SPY and see the input message generated , whether it matches with your XSD format or not.

    are you trying access web service(old) which is free of cost.
    nowdays, most of the webservices(free of cost) they are re-locating the service to somewhere else
    anyhow, some of the service had been stopped.
    so please post which web service are you trying access(if it belongs to public).
    if it is private web service dont post here

  • Webservice from WSDL - Endpoint URL unchanged

    Hi all,
    I'm following the JDeveloper tutorial here....
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards111/j2ee_set_17/ccset17_ALL.html
    ...in this the endpoint URL is left as http://www.example.com - this gets transformed into....
    http://localhost:7101/ServiceFromWsdl-Project1-context-root/RatingServicePort
    ...I believe at the point the webservice is generated from the WSDL.
    I have a couple of questions....
    1. Where does it get the localhost & 7101 from - at the point of generating the webservice how does it know where I want to deploy it ?
    2. When I generate my webservice from WSDL my URL is left unchanged - it deploys ok to my SOAServer (not the JDeveloper integrated one) but not with the endpoint I used in the WSDL - how do I find this endpoint ?
    Thanks
    MarkF

    OK, I managed to find the endpoint by hacking a few bits of information together....I assumed the port number because I knew the HTTP port number for my SOAServer, the context root is displayed in the deployment log, I then tagged on the Port Name from my WSDL .... et voila !
    Still begs the questions....
    1. Is it supposed to overwrite the URL in my original WSDL ?
    2. Is there no easier way of finding out the endpoint for a deployed WS ?
    Thanks

  • JAXWS Webservice from WSDL - Compilation errors in schemas

    Hello,
    I am creating a webservice (Java EE1.5 JAX-WS ) from wsdl .
    When I build the artifacts in JDeveloper, I get few compilation errors related to schemas.
    Error(5412,31): com.service.gsrl.FingEvntType.FINGEVNTENTR.ROLEPLYR is already defined in com.service.gsrl.FingEvntType.FINGEVNTENTR
    •     GSRL_Vers7_Rls21.xsd and DALGSRLService.wsdl both define a ROLE_PLYR and FINGEVNTENTR element.
    There could be a conflict when mapping this to Java class names.
    Not sure if there is a way around in JAX-WS and if this is a bug.
    Any one faced this ort of issue? How to resolve this??
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    There are few problems with your WSDL
    1. targetNamespace in schema section is missing trailing '/', it should be 'http://10.25.98.19:8080/dart/'
    2. in portType section 'fault' element is missing 'wsdl:' prefix, it should be '<wsdl:fault>'
    3. in binding section type is wrong, it should be 'tns:DartServicesImpl'
    4. Also fault element is wrongly defined in binding section it should be
    <wsdl:fault name="DARTException">
    <soap:fault name="DARTException" use="literal"/>
    </wsdl:fault>
    Hope this helps.

  • Generate Proxy from WSDL with multiple Files

    I need to load a WSDL (to generate a web service consumer proxy). However, that WSDL is build from multiple files, both .wsdl and .xsd, not a single one. It seems the SAP wizard to generate the proxy does expect one single WSDL file however.
    Is there a way in SAP to load a WSDL with multiple files, or do I need to (manually) flatten all these files into one single file?

    I am not sure why it fails in WebSphere. Please try posting
    this question to a WebSphere newsgroup.

    thanks manoj for your reply.
    I'm using IBM WebSphere SDK for Web Services v5.1
    for generation of java client.
    I'm able to generate the client but the problem is
    the WSDl2Java command ignored the SOAPHeaders while
    generating the proxy. Since I'm using SOAP headers for
    authentication the code fails.

    HI,
    I have a web service (implemented in .NET) which extends soap headersfor
    doing
    Authentication. WSDL is generated out of this web service. But wheni use
    wsdl2java
    (J2EE) to generate a proxy class, there is no interface generated forsoap
    headers.
    Without extending SOAP headers the web service works fine.
    Basically, I'm looking for a way to generate java interfaces (ie.
    proxies)
    for
    SOAP headers out of the WSDL file.
    PFA the WSDL file and the proxy
    Any help on this is appreciated.

    Hi,
    From your description I am assuming that you are using JAX-WS, if not get back to me as I might have another bug to look at.
    The problem is that the annotation @Oneway needs to be added to the methods in java files for this to work correctly. You can either do this manually or use the PI in the code editor. I have raised bug 6266513 to track the fact this annotation is not written out properly. I have logged bug 6266556 to track the nillable=true and extranious elements you will see when you do add @Oneway.
    Thanks for the quality of your bug report, and we would of course welcome any other feedback good or bad you would like to give us.

If I use a String variable for the import parameter of my webservice method everything works fine! But if I us a custom class for the im port parameter of the method I get an soap error when I call the webservice!
    Error:
    Service: MyService
    URL: Endpoint
    http://myportal/irj/servlet/prt/soap/com.sap.portal.prt.soap.MyServicec?style=rpc_enc
    Method: add1to1
    Exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException
    Message: com.company.ImportClass
    The WSDL was generated Correctly:
         <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://namespace.com" elementFormDefault="qualified">
              <complexType name="ImportClass">
                   <sequence>
                        <element name="Import1" nillable="true" type="xsd:string"/>
                        <element name="Import2" nillable="true" type="xsd:string"/>
                   </sequence>
              </complexType>
         </schema>
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Ozzie,
    in newer NWDS versions this wizard doesn't exist any more.
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/4554426dd13555e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/4554426dd13555e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm] describes how to create a web service from a portal service.
    I personally didn't create a web service by this description however. I just created a normal Java class and created a Web Service out of this class (using EAR deployment).

  • External Definition (wsdl) with abstract xsd element

    Hello All,
    we are trying to call a webservice, here is the wsdl:
    https://www.1link.com/fr/demo-sn/site/gaiwebservice.asmx?WSDL
    the problem is that the GAIJobLine element is defined as abstract:
    <s:complexType name="GAIJobLine" abstract="true">
    and there several elements which are extending GAIJobLine, for example:
    <s:complexType name="GAITyreLine">
                        <s:complexContent mixed="false">
                             <s:extension base="tns:GAIJobLine">
    So in our mapping we need to map to those element which are extending base element and not to the abstract one, but Graphical mapping displays only GAIJobLIne base element.
    Does anybody know how we can map to extended elements without mannually changing wsdl?
    Best Regards,
    Artsiom Anichenka

    thanks for your reply!
    the extended elements are seen when I open wsdl in XMLSpy.
    they are also visible in external definition object, but the main problem is that in the mapping only the base lement is displayed and there is no possobility to choose the extension.
    Maybe this kind os XSDs (with abstract base types and extended elements) are just not supported by PI711?

  • Error referencing from WSDL to an XSD in another project in OEPE.

    Hi,
    I have 2 OSB projects in my workspace. 1 project contains my CDM files, the other one is a project which makes use of the CDM. No problem you would think but it seems that OEPE can't handle any more then 2 ../ to go up in my filetree?!?
    For example this import is ok.....OEPE doesn't complain:
    <xs:import namespace="http://www.mycompany.nl/schema/generic" schemaLocation="../../General/CDM/GenericTypes.xsd"/>
    but this import gives a problem:
    <xs:import namespace="http://www.mycompany.nl/schema/generic" schemaLocation="../../../General/CDM/GenericTypes.xsd"/>
    This gives me the following error: The dependency is not configured in schema resource. Possible reason one or more import/include is not set correctly.
    Im using Oracle workshop for weblogic Version: 10.3 Build id: 1137967.
    When I check the files with XMLspy.....there is no problem at all.
    Does anyone have a fix for this perhaps?
    Much thanks!

    Hi Vijay,
    The files are located like this on my file system
    project
        -General
            -trunk
                -CDM
                    -GenericTypes.xsd
        -Retail
            -trunk
                -OrderService
                    -Schemas
                        -OrderService.xsdMy configuration project looks like this:
    -OSB Configuration
        -CDM
            -GenericTypes.xsd
        -Retail
            -OrderService
                -Schemas
                    -OrderService.xsdThe import in OrderService looks like this: ../../../../../General/trunk/CDM/GenericTypes.xsd but OEPE says its wrong but XMLspy does find it.

  • Problem with importing XSDs and deploying to Weblogic 9.2

    Hi Guys,
    I am trying to deploy a simple web service wiith request response xsds packaged as an EAR to Weblogic 9.2
    Instead of making the request/response inline in the wsdl,I am importing it
    <message name="RequiredResponse">
    <part name="parameters" element="tns:requiredServiceResponse"/>
    </message>
    tns:http:://some.com/some
    And tns points to a valid namespace and I have made sure the xsd and wsdl are in the same folder and there are no import issues.
    When I try to start this application in Weblogic I get this error
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: no local element named 'parameters' on global element e=requiredServiceResponse@:http:://some.com/some
    This has no problem when deployed to Oracle App Server 10g.
    Thanks

    I have the same issue, albeit I am using WLS 10.... anyone have an answer?

  • Validate XML against XSD with imported xsd's

    Hello,
    I'm stuck for a while attempting to validate a xml against some xsd's. In the code below you can find my xsd's structure: (I need to use this structure in order to reuse the baseXsd's files.
    CommonTypes.xsd
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <xs:schema id="CommonTypes" targetNamespace="http://test.com/CommonTypes"
    xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    attributeFormDefault="qualified">
    <xs:simpleType name="NonEmptyString">
    <xs:restriction base="xs:string">
    <xs:minLength value="1"/>
    </xs:restriction>
    </xs:simpleType>
    </xs:schema>
    CommonLog.xsd
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <xs:schema id="CommonLogConfig"
    targetNamespace="http://test.com/CommonLogConfig"
    xmlns:cmn="http://test.com/CommonTypes"
    xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    attributeFormDefault="qualified">
    <xs:import schemaLocation="..\Base\CommonTypes.xsd" namespace="http://test.com/CommonTypes" />
    <xs:simpleType name="LogName">
    <xs:restriction base="xs:string"/>
    </xs:simpleType>
    <xs:simpleType name="LogPath">
    <xs:restriction base="cmn:NonEmptyString"/>
    </xs:simpleType>
    </xs:schema>
    LogConfig.xsd
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <xs:schema xmlns:mlc="http://test.com/CommonLogConfig"
    targetNamespace="component1_LogConfig"
    xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    attributeFormDefault="qualified">
    <xs:import schemaLocation="..\Base\CommonLogConfig.xsd" namespace="http://test.com/CommonLogConfig" />
    <xs:element name="root">
    <xs:complexType>
    <xs:sequence>
    <xs:element name="default">
    <xs:complexType>
    <xs:all>
    <xs:element name="LogName" type="mlc:LogName" fixed="component.name" />
    <xs:element name="LogPath" type="mlc:LogPath"/>
    </xs:all>
    </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>
    </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>
    </xs:schema>
    LogConfig.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <root xmlns="component1_LogConfig">
    <default>
    <LogName>component.name</LogName>
    <LogPath></LogPath>
    </default>
    </root>
    As you can probably notice, the <LogPath> key on the LogConfig is empty, but, it is defined as a NonEmptyString type. That is the way I'm validating the xml against xsd:
    FileStream stream = new FileStream("LogConfig.xml", FileMode.Open);
    XmlValidatingReader vr = new XmlValidatingReader(stream, XmlNodeType.Element, null);
    vr.Schemas.Add(null, "LogConfig.xsd");
    vr.ValidationType = ValidationType.Schema;
    vr.ValidationEventHandler += new ValidationEventHandler(ValidationCallBack);
    while (vr.Read()) ;
    The validationCallBack is not being fired.
    I suppose it is possible since the visual studio show me the error at compile time:

    Well, it is weird, but, the code below works when validating the NonEmptyString type:
    XmlSchemaSet schemaSet = new XmlSchemaSet();
    schemaSet.Add(null, "LogConfig.xsd");
    XDocument doc1 = XDocument.Load("LogConfig.xml");
    doc1.Validate(schemaSet, new ValidationEventHandler(ValidationCallBack), false);
    However, if I leave the <LogName> empty it does not valid the values set on xsd fixed attribute,
    The solution?
    Well, I'm validating the same xml twice, the code above and the code on my first question.
