@WebService & @Session- Error of conflicting class level annotations

Hi,
I am trying to compile the following code
package test;
import javax.ejb.SessionBean;
import javax.ejb.SessionContext;
import javax.jws.WebMethod;
import javax.jws.WebService;
import weblogic.jws.WLHttpTransport;
import weblogic.jws.Transactional;
import weblogic.ejbgen.Session;
@Session(ejbName="TransactionEJB")
@WebService(name="TransactionPortType", serviceName="TransactionService", targetNamespace="http://example.org")
@WLHttpTransport(contextPath="transactions", serviceUri="TransactionService", portName="TransactionPort")
public class TransactionImpl implements SessionBean {
     @WebMethod()
     @Transactional(value=true)
     public String sayHello(String message) {
          System.out.println("sayHello:" + message);
          return "Here is the message: '" + message + "'";
     public void ejbCreate() {}
     public void ejbActivate() {}
     public void ejbRemove() {}
     public void ejbPassivate() {}
     public void setSessionContext(SessionContext sc) {}
However, Thiis gives me following error at compile time.
"The web service has conflicting class level annotations and cannot be compiled."
Will much appreciate any help on this.
Thanks,
Makarand

Has Anyone Found an Answer to this ? I am getting the exact same error

    I think it is possible to do it in an aggregated level however you need to define your distribution rules in order to get the desired result, you need also to consider that if distribution rules changes and the value after promotional planning returns the same value, it is possible that detailed level are not realigned to the new distribution rule (e.g. regarding another ratio).
    Maybe this is one of several causes.

  • Error checking for persistence unit annotations in the main class

    Hi
    When I tried running the examples from the SUN JMS tutorials, I landed in a problem. I did the following changes...
    1. I created a new project in eclipse
    2. created the java class 'Producer.java' in a package..(the one in java tutorial is not in a package)
    3. copied the build.xml and made the the respective changes.
    I successfully created the jar file, but when I tried to run the the application
    appclient -client JMSProducer.jar eg.jms.P2PProducer.Producer queue 3it throws the following exception:

    I'm having the same problem, albeit 18 months later. I am working with a tutorial from apress, which seems very high on Glassfish as a AppServer environment for learning EJB 3.0. I have the same error when I try to run the client application in the Sun Platform 9.0 Application Server's AppClient Module container , "... Error checking for persistence unit annotations in the main class..." and I think it has something to do with the fact that the AppClient is expecting "something" in the MANIFEST.MF file that actually isn't there... ( sigh ). " so close, and yet so far away.... "

  • Class level resource recollection

    Hi
    Please tell me how to handle finalize at class level?
    ie when class is about to be unloaded resources should be freed.
    when class is about to be unloaded resources should be freed.
    There can be many ways when they resources not freed.( Class A loaded by some loader, A loaded all Hibernate session in Class Global(:)), session reference used by other classes, when A finishes session will still be thr in Global. Correct me if i am wrong.)
    How can a class say Good Bye message at 'END'?
    Thanks & #
    Amit

    Is it because of this :
    <font size="2">16.7.1.2 Programming Interfaces for Resource Manager Connection Factory ReferencesThe Bean Provider must use resource manager connection factory references to obtain connections to
    resources as follows.
    • Assign an entry in the enterprise bean’s environment to the resource manager connection factory
    reference. (See subsection 16.7.1.3 for information on how resource manager connection
    factory references are declared in the deployment descriptor.)
    • The EJB specification recommends, but does not require, that all resource manager connection
    factory references be organized in the subcontexts of the bean’s environment, using a different
    subcontext for each resource manager type. For example, all JDBC™ DataSource references
    might be declared in the java:comp/env/jdbc subcontext, and all JMS connection factories
    in the java:comp/env/jms subcontext. Also, all JavaMail connection factories might
    be declared in the java:comp/env/mail subcontext and all URL connection factories in
    the java:comp/env/url subcontext. Note that resource manager connection factory references
    declared via annotations will not, by default, appear in any subcontext.
    • Lookup the resource manager connection factory object in the enterprise bean’s environment
    using the EJBContext lookup method or using the JNDI API.
    • Invoke the appropriate method on the resource manager connection factory to obtain a connection
    to the resource. The factory method is specific to the resource type. It is possible to obtain
    multiple connections by calling the factory object multiple times.</font>>
    Does it's mean that EJB should always retrieve connection factory through local EJB context (java:comp/env) ?
    Why ?

  • Multiple Error message at Item Level....

    Hi all,
    I have some doubt into display multiple error message from item level.
    The scenario is, I have to run some validation at each line item. If validation fails error message is population. Now suppose user ignore the error message or with that error user creating new line item and again because of validation some error occurs, then both error message should display all together but system is displaying only last message not previous one. This is happening with both the classes CL_BSP_WD_MESSAGE_SERVICE' and CL_CRM_GENIL_GLOBAL_MESS_CONT.
    But if I check same thing with standard validation all error message display all together.
    Any suggestion through which I can combined all message and display together.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

    Yes.I have tried ADD_MESSAGE method of the CL_BSP_WD_MESSAGE_SERVICE class.
    Thanks

    Any suggestion from experts..

    Looks like you imported events.Event but not events.MouseEvent (or some similar syntax) basically you must import MouseEvents separately from other Events.

  • How to deal with conflict and potential conflict classes?

    Some classes are marked as conflict and potential conflict classes in the Classloader Analysis Tool.
    How to deal with them?
    How to use suggested solutions?

    Not double load them.
    Conflicting classes can lead to weird exceptions. One obvious example would be if you package
    an older servlet.jar version into your application and use the weblogic classloading features, such
    as prefer-web-inf-classes, to tell weblogic to use this class instead of the one provided in the
    system classpath. This one example which leads to weird exceptions, such as connot process jsp tag...
    If you really need a the version of the jar for your application, you have to test it through and through
    so that you know you do not run into weird production errors.

  • Collaborator on Document Level vs. Class Level Access

    Hi Guys,
    I am wondering what happens when you add a user as a collaborator / reviewer to a document that has not been given authorization on class level, ie. the user has no access to auctions but I am adding him/ her to an auction as a collaborator?
    Any idea if I can select this user?
    Thank you.
    /Anita

    System would throw an error message indicating the user does not have the requisite permissions.
    It would be something like this:
    "Either change the role to one with only a view right or add an edit permission to the user or the group. XXX could not be added because they do not have edit rights, but the selected role grants edit rights."
    Thanks,
    Vikram

But if I us a custom class for the im port parameter of the method I get an soap error when I call the webservice!
    Error:
    Service: MyService
    URL: Endpoint
    http://myportal/irj/servlet/prt/soap/com.sap.portal.prt.soap.MyServicec?style=rpc_enc
    Method: add1to1
    Exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException
    Message: com.company.ImportClass
    The WSDL was generated Correctly:
         <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://namespace.com" elementFormDefault="qualified">

    Hi Ozzie,
    in newer NWDS versions this wizard doesn't exist any more.
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/4554426dd13555e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/4554426dd13555e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm] describes how to create a web service from a portal service.
    I personally didn't create a web service by this description however. I just created a normal Java class and created a Web Service out of this class (using EAR deployment).

  • ERM "Unhandled error; type conflict" when clicking Maintain in PFCG button.

    I am testing my installation of GRC and when creating a role in ERM with the role designer I click the "Maintain in PFCG" and am receiving an error:
    Unhandled error; Type conflict when calling a function module (field length).
    I have been doing some searching but have been unable to find a solution for this. I have implemented the items found in SAP Note 1291501 regarding security.
    Does anyone have suggestions on what the solution of this problem is or what I can do to troubleshoot this issue more?

    Hi Michael,
    Can you please share your other details like: What is the GRC AC version you are trying to test and the patch level of ERM and RAR. Try to check the System logs in the Configuration section. Check st22 suggested by Julius and also sm21 in the backend system for system logs . I hope you'll get some hint out of that.

  • Duplicate session error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with CF10

    We're getting the "duplicate session" error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with Coldfusion 10 Standard.
    faultCode:Server.Processing.DuplicateSessionDetected faultString:'Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions,
    generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies.
    Session cookies must be enabled to manage the client connection correctly.' faultDetail:'null'
    Have read most of the docs about this error -all to do with LCDS
    Notes:
    Not using LCDS,
    No Remote Calls from loaded Sub-Apps,
    No Errors from the Flex Web App which is pretty  much identical and calls the same cfcs.
    The error does not happen all the time and is hard to reproduce - say 5% of app sessions at a guess.
    Could it be a two first time remote calls hitting the server together before a session is set up?
    Our remoteObjects are in two places 1) Main Application.mxml and within a class compiled into the main app - can't see how this would be an issue.
    I enabled session management for the CFCs in Application.cfc but still occurs. Is this neccessary - it's not in any docs?
    Could this be something to do with the app not being shut down - as is typical with mobile users? When they resume use after a day or two surely a new session will be created?
    Please advise thank you.

    For our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
    Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
    This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html  two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
    Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
    Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! )  caused the error when activated after a few hours.
    I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
    So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
    All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
    Fingers crossed we won't get any more!

  • WebServices: compilation error occurred

    Created a webservice from a java class. The method that i am exposing in the webservice takes a java object (Serializable) as input and gives another java object (Serializable) as output.I am creating webservice from JDeveloper. While i am creating webservice from JDeveloper, While Specifying Custom Data Type Serializers, i have two xsds one for input object and one for output object. After creating the webservice if i try to deploy my webservice, it gives me an error
    Error compiling :C:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\applications\ObjectJava-MyEmpJavaProj-WS\WebServices: compilation error occurred
    and there is no further info on this. How can resolve this? any ideas?

    I'm having the same problem except I used a top-down approach and created the web service from the WSDL. I go to deploy the web service and then I get the error:
    Binding WebServices web-module for application {"application directory"} to site default-web-site under context root {"context-root"}
    Operation failed with error:
    Error compiling :C:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\applications\{"application directory"}\WebServices: compilation error occurred
    I'm assuming this refers to the .war file since that is what the \WebServices points to but I haven't been able to figure out what Oracle JDeveloper is having problems compiling.
    Thanks!
