WEbsphere 5.1.2 JsF problem to connect Database by ODBC

hi
i have created a jsf project,it's simple,but now i want to do a connect to my database with bridge ODBC-JDBC.
i create a class:
import java.sql.*;
import sun.jdbc.odbc.*;
public class Connect {
     private Statement stmt;
     private String url;
     private ResultSet rs;
     private Connection con;
     Connect(){
                       try
                                     Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
                                      url = "jdbc:odbc:scrutinio";
                                      con = DriverManager.getConnection (url,"dba","sql");
                                      stmt = con.createStatement();
                                 catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
                                      e.printStackTrace();
                                 } catch (SQLException e) {
                                      e.printStackTrace();
          public Statement getStatement()
               return stmt;
}now in my backbean i call getStatement()(i try a login web ):
import java.sql.*;
import sun.*;
public class BackLogin {
     private String Nome;
     private String Password;
     private Statement stmt;
     private ResultSet rs;
    public void setNome(String Nome){
         this.Nome=Nome;
     public void setPSW(String PSW){
             this.Password=PSW;
     public String getNome(){
             return Nome;
        public String getPSW(){
                 return Password;
     public String id_Login(){
       Connect cn=new Connect();
          stmt=cn.getStatement();
          try {
               rs=stmt.executeQuery("SELECT CODICE,password FROM SECURITY_UTENTI");
            while(rs.next()){
                 if((rs.getString(1).equalsIgnoreCase(Nome))&&(rs.getString(2).equalsIgnoreCase(Password)))
                return "success";
          } catch (SQLException e) {
               e.printStackTrace();
          return "failure";
}but the console return:

    i was using scott/tiger.
    this time i have tried scott/tiger@rkmurari...(rkmurari is SID and Database name).

  • Access vba problem with ORACLE database via ODBC

    I get a problem when using MS-Access 2007 DAO recordset built on table hosted by an Oracle database 10g and connected thru an ODBC link (the id is generated by a sequence/trigger associated to the table).
    The code I use is :
    Private Sub Commande0_Click()
    Dim rs As DAO.Recordset2
    Dim bm As Variant
    'Set rs = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset("select * from table1", dbOpenDynaset, dbSeeChanges, dbPessimistic)
    Me.Recordset.AddNew
    Me.Recordset!libelle = CStr(Rnd)
    Me.Recordset!code = “”
    Me.Recordset!actif = True
    Me.Recordset!idCollege = 1
    Me.Recordset.Update
    Me.Recordset.MoveFirst
    Me.Recordset.Bookmark = Me.Recordset.LastModified
    Dim idtemp As Long
    idtemp = Me.Recordset.idPartenaire
    Me.Requery
    Me.Recordset.FindFirst "idPartenaire = " & idtemp
    Set rs = Nothing
    End Sub
    When I run this code, I get an error 3167 (current record is deleted) on the line :
    idtemp = Me.Recordset.idPartenaire
    If I change the ligne :
    Me.Recordset!code = “”
    By :
    Me.Recordset!code = “xxxx”
    Or if I comment this line, the error does not appear and I get the right value in idtemp variable.
    I tried also with the same table in a SQL Server database table. In this case it works fine in all cases.
    So, I seems that the problem is due to the Oracle ODBC driver.
    I search on Internet but I have not found any explanation or solution.
    Does anybody experiment the same problem (and find a solution)?
    Gilles Roussel.

    There is a dediacted forum for Oracle ODBC driver issues.
    Please post your problem at:

    i want access to database in page html with use AppletFirst of all, that doesn't make any sence, if it's a single user application make it a java
    application.
    If it's a multu user application make it a client server where the web server connects to
    the database when the client requests a connection.
    When the applet connects to the database any client running the applet needs a
    connection to your database server, the client needs the jdbc drivers and the client's
    jre needs to find them (set classpath with runtime parameters or set the classes in
    javadir lib). After that the client needs to change thiere java.policy or you need to sign
    the applet.
    Needless to say that's a lot of trouble. And if you go through all that trouble the client
    can de-compile your applet and see the connection to the database server and the
    server name. Now the client can destroy your database or worse see date it is not
    supposed to see.
    Since you are a brainless ... who needed to post this question 6 times did not respond to any of my post in your other threads I can just say good luck with your problem.

  • Problem in connecting Database by using SQL Developer

    Hi,
    I recently installed SQL Developer after installing Oracle 10g and am trying to connect existing database. could anybody help me to connect and what credential should i required to connect.
    Thanks in advance
    LN Reddy

    I am new to oracle myself, so I apologize if this information is not helpful. But I have a number of connections to a local database on my laptop. The way that I connected is using the 'Basic' tab with the following settings:
    Hostname: localhost
    Port: 1521
    SID: orcl
    And of course the username above.
    I hope that might be helpful.

  • Problem using JDBC to connect to WBEM ODBC driver

    Hello,
    I've got a problem to connect to WBEM ODBC driver using JDBC. The error is:
    exception due a la requetejava.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][WBEM ODBC Driver]Unable to connect
    When I try to connect to a MS access database, replacing only the ODBC source name, it's working. I can access to the MS access db. But when I put the WMI ODBC source name, WMI, I've got this error.
    Does anybody know what could happened? Is it possible to access to WMI through JDBC? With MS access, accessing WMI ODBC is working !
    Thanks very much for your help.
    Here is the part of the source code :
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Main_1 {
    /** Creates a new instance of Main_1 */
    public Main_1() {
    * @param args the command line arguments
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    String url = "jdbc:odbc:WMI";
    Class.forName ("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(url);
    String query = "Select * from Win32_Processor";
    //String query = "Select * from test;";
    ResultSet results;
    Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
    results = stmt.executeQuery(query);
    //System.out.println (results);
    catch(Exception e){
         System.out.println("exception due a la requete" + e);
    e.printStackTrace();
    }

    you have to first start the network listener before you can run the program
    start TNSLSNR before running the jdbc program

  • Problem with connecting to DB2 from ADFBC

    I have a problem with connection to DB2 data using ADF BC components. Everything looks fine till I run the page(JSF) to see the data of a db2 table. I created a read only view object. This view is registered in the AM and from AM the view is returning the rows without any problem. But when I am running the page which has the view as a table these errors are thrown. Please help me to fix this.

    AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 9.0.2.25 ModName: quicktime.qts
    In this context, that can sometimes indicate trouble with a content file on the phone (or Touch).
    Do you have any podcasts stored on the iPhone at the moment? If so, if you delete them from the phone, can you connect to iTunes without the error?
