Webui is undefined

Hi,
I have developed a e web application using netbeans 6.5 and deployed it in tomcat 6.0.18. When i am trying to access the application from the browser, the components are not rendered and i am receiving a javascript error '*webui is undefined*'.
I tried all the permutations with the jar files which didnt help. I deleted the application and recreated it, and it worked for the first time. When re-deployed and clearing my cache, the same error popped up again.
Any clue?

I have figured out the problem myself. Hope this helps others.
I actually had a filter which is checking the users login credentials and redirects them to the login page if the user is not logged in. I did a request forward in order to direct to the login page, which was actually the root cause.
Please do response redirect for this, and it solves the problem

Hi,
I am experiencing an issue whereby a customer cannot access our site. When they get to the login screen the JSF components aren't rendering and instead they have the warning triangle which when clicked states '"webui" is undefined'. The customer is using IE7 and cannot install any other browsers. Active scripting is definitely enabled in their browser. We are using Woodstock JSF. I've tried to replicate this myself but even with Active scripting disabled I cannot.
I've seen comments which say to ensure that response redirects are being used rather than response forwards and I can confirm that we are using response redirects.
Can any give any ideas as to what may be causing the error '"webui" is undefined' to occur?

I have figured out the problem myself. Hope this helps others.

BACKGROUND: I have created a Netbeans 6 Visual Web Project. I have also integrated my web app with RichFaces 3.1.3. My web application can be viewed properly and correctly when i deploy it on tomcat 6.
ARCHITECTURE: Our server configuration requires IIS to be our web server and tomcat to be our app server. Both are running on different machines. I have successfully linked up IIS 6 and tomcat 6 using the JK isapi_redirector.
PROBLEM: However, when i connect to my app via IIS, my starting page opens but the input box components on that page are not displayed and i get several javascript errors that read - 'dojo is undefined' and 'webui is undefined'.
Any help or advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I managed to find a workaround. Thought i should share it with those who are faced with a similar issue.
I found that a bug report had been placed in the past with Apache Dev. However, they had said that they would not modify their logic because the servlet container spec requires it (even though isapi_redirector is only a connector and not a container). They said that there is no way for the isapi_redirector to differentiate between /foo/WEB-INF when foo is a context and when foo is just a sub-directory of the ROOT web application. So, the general consensus was to err on the side of safety and risk blocking a few requests that are valid.
However, this causes a serious issue for those using NetBeans JSF Visual Web Projects. Hence, I created my own flavour of isapi_redirector by modifying the code such that this check is not performed and leaving the onus of checking on Tomcat.
For those who are interested, the simplest way to go about this would be to force the function uri_is_web_inf (in jk_isapi_plugin.c ) to always return FALSE.

Visual Web JSF web app unable to render. The theme tries to access META-INF

Dynamic mandatory field error message is not getting displayed in webui

Hi,
In Appointment if the importance is HIGH i made Location as mandatory.For this i enhanced BT126H_APPT/ApptDetails. In the get_p_location() method of BTACTIVITYYH i have written the code.
Now the problem is Error message for this dynamic mandatory field is not getting displayed in webui.
I debugged in DO_FINISH_INPUT error message is getting generated but it is not getting displayed in ui.
Can anybody tell where the problem is?

Really sorry do not know how to convert this nug file to text
How ever quick solution for your problem would be just keep your validation in 'DO_VALIDATE_INPUT' method of the view controller.
Means even if the User clicks on SAVE , Since it fails here , it would not allow you to go further.

Check log file : C:\JDeveloper\mywork\Sample\SampleDequeueBPEL\SCA-INF\classes\scac.log for errorsDid you managed to look into logs.
Try to reconfigured the ftp adapter from scratch.
I had ran into same error as yours what i did was, restarted the Jdeveloper and was able to compile !!

Problems: Standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset DOES NEVER RETURN ANY RESULTS on the segmentation builder of the WebUI client (no matter the filter you specify).
Other cases: However if we create a new Data source with data "Extraction from Query" (transaction RS02) based on this standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset and we test the functionality using transaction RSA3, IT DOES RETURN RESULTS (using the same filters as in the segmentation builder)! Of course the segmentation builder works with other attribute lists.
NEW: IF WE DON’T ESPECIFY ANY SEGMENTATION BASE IN THE PROFILE GROUP, IT DOES RETURN RESULTS!!! (GO TO THE END OF THE DOCUMENT FOR DETAILS)

Review Standard Infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE (Transaction SQ02).Review Data Reading Program code: do we have to change the standard code? We have only remove the "BREAK-POINT" statement.
Creation of a Data source based on the standard CRM_MKTTG_BP_BIRTHDATE Infoset (Transaction CRMD_MKTDS).
Creation of an Attribute List based on that standard Data source and selection the Birth date as a filter in the Attribute list (Transaction CRMD_MKTDS).

Count target group. Here I would like to stand out that once you click on the “Count” option, immediately it shows 0 results. In other words, it doesn’t process any information. It seems that the standard Infoset doesn’t work by itself with Segmentation Basis. Two SAP notes have been applied and a new Field Group has been added to the Infoset (in order to distint the Segmentation Base).

For that reason we had to create a new Infoset based on the standard CRMT_MKTTG_IS_BIRTHDATE, but adding this new Field MGRGUID to the Group Fields.

Adobe Bridge CS6 undefined in not an object Help Please

I am so sick and tired of getting this error message when I try to create a pdf contact sheet - undefined is not an object. Can someone help me?
What frustrates me the is there is no log file telling me what image has the problem which Bridge does not like.
This example is of brand new eps files that were created in the last month
I also have the same undefined object is not an object using AI files but none are shown in this example.
If there is no solution to tell me what eps or ai file(s) bridge does not like - is there a setting I can change so Bridge skips the file it does not like? Sorta silly skipping a file for a contact sheet but if that is a workaround to make it bridge work that would be a huge improvement versus the program not working at all, LOL...
1. I have tried using another program to rename all my files to be sequential numbers too, so that is taking more time and I am losing the ability to find my files by name and I still get the undefined is not an object.
2. I am to the point of using other programs to create jpeg images of AI and EPS files and then using bridge to make contact sheets and doing that takes a ton more time and is just silly to do so now I am to the point of asking for help.
3. Operating system is Wondows 7 - I use CS6 - Adobe Bridge for making contact sheets - screen shoot is attached - all CS6 items are up to date with updates.
4. Yes, I have searched the internet for help and searched adobe for help --- seems like no one has posted a solution.

I am having this same issue. I'm attempting to make a pdf in Bridge but am getting the error message "undefined is not an object." A log or a report of some kind would be very useful here to find out which object is the offender. Looking at my files they appear to be in order but obviously something is amiss....

Upgraded to Firefox 4 now can not access my inbox in email. Error message say I have undefined new mails in the inbox

Downloaded update toi mFirewfox 4. ISP is Talktalk. Can open My mail and get to screen with inbox but page seems to stopp loading then as it doesa not show amount of space being used etc which it normally does. Instead message says 'You have undefined new mails in your inbox' Nothing then happens and the button to open the inbox does not work. Can however access my email and inbox through Outlook express. View attributes can not be retrieved. View instance not found or undefined

Hi,
I am creating a simple master detail OAF page. For this I have done following steps:
1. Created ParentEO and ChildEO
2. Created ParentVO with a transient attribute called "SelectFlag" with default value "Y" .
3. Created ChildVO
4. Created a UserViewLink.
5. Created Application module (UserAM).
6. New Page UserPG
7. In the main region I have defined Application Module.
8. Under the main region, I have created a new advanced table region with following properties:
View Instance : ParentVO1
Detail View Attribute : SelectFlag
View Link Instance: UserViewLink.
Now when I click to select the "Child View Attribute", it gives a pop up saying "View attributes can not be retrieved. View instance not found or undefined".
Please help, I am not able to proceed on this.

Anupam,
I do not see in your steps where you associated the VO with the AM. In order to select an attribute, the AM must have an instance of the VO associated with it. Double click the AM in the navigator. Click Data Model and shuttle the VO's you want to be available from the left to the right.

the range ( No error at this step ) . But when we exceute this

Message log is not getting deleted in WEBUI (BADI ORDER_SAVE)

Hi,
I am displaying an error message based on certain conditions in BADI: ORDER_SAVE (CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE). On getting error, I am correcting that error.
Using CRM_MESSAGE_DELETE, I am deleting error message before displaying new error message. However, my error log is not going away. It is still displaying in the log in WEBUI.
Could you please help me out, how can I delete error message, and error log from WEBUI.

I have the same question as you .
   I have use folleing code to display message in web ui:
      if (conditions).
      CV_OWN_MESSAGE = 'X'.
      MESSAGE '商机描述已经存在，请修改后再保存！' type 'E' RAISING DO_NOT_SAVE .
    endif.
but when i have edit the description , the Message log is not getting deleted in WEBUI .
who can tell me , thanks for all your help !
