WebUtil -- OLE functions Forms 10G -- OutLook Access dialog window

Hello:
I am using OLE to open outlook compose dialog email dialog box from Forms.
When we invoke Outlook Compose/draft window, an Outlook Dialog window/alert comes up with a message "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? etc.."
How can I suppress this dialog box?
Thanks

Hello,
take a look at this thread:

  • Using OLE in forms 10g

    Gurus,
    I have a problem. I want to import MS-Excel sheet into forms 10g, any builts to be used ?? what's the procedure ?
    Can anyone help me
    Regards

    Well, the application should come from the client machine rather than serverThe application runs from the server (as it is web-forms), but the UI runs and the client.
    WEBUTIL is designed to do things on the client. So CLIENT_OLE is executed on the client-pc.

  • Forms 10g Installation issue on windows 7 Professional service pack 1

    hi
    I am trying to install oracle forms 10g  64 bit windows 7 Professional service pack 1 ..
    Below are 2 files that i am using ..
    ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip (626,122,752 bytes)
    ds_windows_x86_101202_disk2.zip (236,880,881 bytes)
    But it failed but the error is ..
    Checking operating system version: must be 4.0, 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2.    Actual 6.1     Failed <<<<
    just wondering if there are any workaround ..

    Christian is right - Forms 10g R2 (version 10.1.2.0.2) is not certified for installation on Windows 7.  You must apply a Forms 10g R2 patch to bring the version to 10.1.2.3.0 for it to be certified.  You must have a My Oracle Support account to obtain the patch.
    Now, to your question - is there a workaround; the answer is yes.  There are known issues with this installer.  I'll list them and their workaround.
    1.  The Oracle installer checks for a specific set of Windows versions rather than check for a minimum Windows version.
    Workaround:  Right-click the Installer and select Properties.  Click the Compatibility tab and click the checkbox: Run this program in compatibility mode for:  Windows XP SP3).
    2.  The Oracle Installer can't detect Windows Managed Virtual Memory (VM).
    Workaround:  You must temporarily change the Virtual Memory settings and specify specific Initial and Maximum sizes.  See this Microsoft article for more information on changing VM settings.  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/change-the-size-of-virtual-memory
    This change will require you to restart your computer.  After you have successfully installed Oracle Forms 10g, you can restore the original VM settings.
    3.  The Oracle installer MUST be installed as an "Administrator".
    Workaround:  Windows 7 uses "Least privileged user" so you must right-click the Installer and select the Compatibility tab.  Click the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox.
    4.  Not a Oracle installer issue, but you will have to install the 32-bit version of the Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (1.6.0 - not 1.7.0) because Oracle Forms is a 32-bit application so it will not be able to use the 64-bit JRE.
    Run the Oracle installer and it should now install succesfully.

  • Javabean is not working after adding webutil.olb in form 10g

    I have created a form in which I am using javabean for running marquee and is working well. I have also attached webutil library in that form and it's working well also. But when I am adding webutil.olb in that form marquee stops to work. I have given path in Start In and in Preference/Runtime also. I have searched so many forums for that problem but did'nt get solution. That's why I decided to ask here....

    Dear Gerd,
    "are you sure, that it is the hotkey"
    Yes, i am dead sure. Since:
    (1) It was working fine in forms 6i
    (2) If you run a form and select Help => Keys, you will see Ctrl+B on the top of list
    The problem is its not taking into account the keys which i am defining in the file (although i am following the same procedure detailed on metalink.oracle.com).

  • HOST command not working in forms 10g

    Hi,
    I have migrated forms 6i to forms 10g, and having a requirement to open sqlplus prompt using a form menu. I have used the below command: -
    "host('sqlplus '||user_name||'/'||pass||'@'||sid, no_screen);"
    But I am not able to get the sqlplus window, and the main form is still in process for long time, till i bounce the server.
    The forms are deployed on Oracle Applications Server 10g and i want to run it on server side.
    Please help me with the problem.
    Thanks,
    Ankit

    The deployment architecture is different between forms 10g and forms 6i.
    In Forms 6i HOST built-in command will run on the client machine since you are running as client/server, but in WebForms (Forms10g) the HOST built-in command will run on the middle tier which is your application server machine.
    In order to run hosts commands in WebForms you need to use webutil and use CLIENT_HOST in the webutil.
    check the [Forms 10g R2 Demo|http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/demos/Forms_Demos_10gr2.zip] for sample codes of webutil.
    You are using NO_SCREEN in your example, this will hide the window.

  • Open word document from oracle forms 10g

    Hi,
    Could any one please guide me how to open a word document from forms 10g on client machine (windows). My word document resides on application server (unix).
    Thanks for the help in advance.

    I tried that, but it doesn't work.
    What I have done is, I have written a java code that has a function ope_word that opens up a word document. I have created jar out of it called wordbean.jar.
    Add this wordbean.jar in $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java directory and also added in the formsweb.cfg file (archive_jini=wordbean.jar)
    Then I created a form and usinf fbean.register and fbean.invoke functions of forms, I am trying to call wordbean.jar.
    F.bean.register is registering all the components of wordbean.jar but it is not opening the word document.
    Could you please help ??

  • Forms 10g balancing

    Hi
    Looking for real life examples on how have you solved load balancing between Forms 10g application servers on Windows 32bit platform.
    Any good proven solutions for it?
    Thanks

    I don't have a real life example I can give you but all of the details for performing load balancing is available in the Oracle Forms Services 10g Advanced Configurations white paper (in the Load Balancing Oracle Forms section).
    Hope this helps,

  • Webutil for Forms 10g - Apple Mac Client - Save File Dialog Box

    I am trying to setup a button on a 10g Form to download a file from an Oracle 10g database. The button uses Webutil package and the client_get_file_name function to ask for a file name and directory to place the file via file transfer from the database.
    Using any Windows client, when you press the button the form brings up a Dialog box for the file name. Everything works fine in Windows.
    But when I use a Apple Mac client, I get this message when I click on the button:
    “oracle.forms.webutil.file.FileFunctions bean not found. WEBUTIL_FILE.FILE_SELECTION_DIALOG_INT will not work.”
    I can only assume this maybe because the MAC doesn't use the DLL files that are associated with Webutil, like jacob.dll, etc. ???
    Does anybody know of how to get a dialog box to appear on a Mac client from Forms 10g?

    The Windows java console says:
    RegisterWebUtil - Load WebUtil Version 10.1.2.0
    Loaded image:..
    proxyHost=null
    proxyPort=null
    connectMode=HTTP,native
    Forms Applet version 10.1.2.0
    When I checked the Mac's java console, I don't get the "RegisterWebUtil" I get:
    proxyHost=null
    proxyPort=0
    connectMode=HTTP, native.
    Forms Applet version is : 10.1.2.0
    Then I get the error messages below..

  • Problem running reports using webutil in Forms 10g

    This is about 3 dll files related to webutil functionality in forms 10g
    d2kwut60.dll
    jacob.dll
    JNIsharedstubs.dll
    I am running report which is using webutil functionality. So when I try to run report, our application server try to download above dlls to my local machine on path C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin
    Due to security policy, our company doesn't allow write access to folder C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin and hence report is failing to run.
    We need solution for this issue so that we should be able to run report successfully?
    Details as below:
    Application server : Forms 10g - 10.1.2.3 ( Using Sun jre and not jinitiator). We do not want to use jinitiator
    Browser - IE8

    Curious, typically Java will store these "temporary" files in the cache not in the BIN directory. Unfortunately, the only way I know to change the location of the CACHE (temporary files) directory is through the Java Control Panel applet. Open the Control Panel and start the Java Control Panel. On the General tab click the Settings... button in the Temporary Internet Files section. In the Location section - click the Change button which will bring up a "Temporary Files Location" dialog box. Simply navigate to a directory that your security policy will allow files to be written too.
    The ideal solution would be to push this type of change out to all of your users rather than have to manually change each workstation. I don't know if there is a way to push this change out, but you can check the Java website for more information.
    Hope this helps,

  • Forms 10g WebUtil

    Hi,
    I've a unix AS server and windows client, now i've also searched in the forum, but nothing answer was ok for my problems.
    I've created a directory named webutil under forms90 in AS
    under this directory i've copied this files
    ffisamp.dll
    jacob.dll
    jacob.jar
    webutil.cfg
    webutil.env
    webutil.jar
    I've mapped in formsweb.cfg the parameter
    baseHTMLjinitiator=webutiljini.htm (this file was under the same directory of basejini.htm.
    I've downloaded the webutil demo, but i get the knowed error wuc-015 Your form must contain the following Bean for this function to be available: oracle.forms.webutil.clientInfo.GetClientInfo
    Where is the error, what it's wrong????

    Ok, i've updated the archive_jini tag, and now all works (also havd the webUtilArchive=webutil.jar,jacob.jar line)
    But now I've another problem with jacob file, i've certified the jacob in client pc (window), but not in the
    AS(unix)(because i don't know the way to do that)
    When i create an "Excel.Application" object, my forms appear in process mode, but nothing happened.
    I'm debugged the webutil pll and i find the line of mistake
    GET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY(bean,1,propertyName); the forms stay there and nothing happend.
    I tried also the webutil demo, all work except the call to the client_ole2 package.
    This is the java console output

  • How can I read a blob created with ole container in forms 6i in forms 10g

    In forms 6i I used ole container to save a document (excel, pdf, word...) into a blob column.
    I want to migrate my application in forms 10g and I read that I have to use webutil_File_transfer.db_to_client and after webutil_host.blocking to see the document.
    In the same blob column I can have multiple type of document. How Can I know wich application to use to open the document ?
    Even if I know the extension of my document I'm enabled to open the file ???

    When you click a C/S OLE object, it is opened with its default application's owner, no ?
    So if the OLE object is opened by Excel, the extension is .xls.
    In any case you have to open the OLE object with its "mother" application if you want to save it as a file, so there is no problem at all to decide with extension to use.
    If you read this article : http://sheikyerbouti.developpez.com/webutil-docs/Webutil_store_edit_docs.htm you can see that the filename is automatically opened with the corresponding application.
