I get this error message when I try to compile a file:
ProviderMain.java:11: cannot resolve symbol
symbol : Class CyberlabInterface
location : package Cyberlab
import com.Cyberlab.CyberlabInterface;

The class CyberlabInterface does exist.
Any Ideas?

Yes, that is how you include a .jar file in your classpath.
Whenever you receive that message, the problem is that the compiler can't find the class or method you are referring to. This means that either the class isn't in your classpath, or the class/method is misspelled/doesn't exist.

Hi,
For some reason very recently everytime I plug in a peripheral into the usb port I get a weird error message and the units (like an external HD, external DVD burner, etc.) won't work. The errors are something like:
The system extensions/system/library/extensions/systems/kext plugins/libkern.kext was installed improperly and can not be used. Please reinstall ir or contact the products vendor for an update.
Ohter error with the have the same message but file components change like:

Yes, you should absolutely report it as a bug.
But this is a problem in error reporting, not in valid code compilation, because the code
cannot compile -- so don't expect to impart much momentum on a fix without additional community support.
There's very clearly a coding problem that the static function f cannot access the non-static member

To estimate the risk of more serious problems with the compiler, I investigated the two closest scenarios for making the code legal. If you either:
make g a static member (and give it storage), or
make f a non-static function (and call it with an instance of A)
...then the code is valid and the compiler doesn't ICE in either case.
So the severity of this problem is very low because, as you said, this ICE seems to occur only when there is an error in the code.

Using Site Content and Structure unable to move documents,pages and getting weird error message

earlier we are moving a page ,document from one site to another sub site with in the Site Collection.
Now,we are getting a un-readable format error.
After selecting the destination we are getting the error.
and the file can't move.
What might me be the error.
Expecting answers related to my question.
1.As we can do using Internet Explorer,
2. Using Send To also we can move.
Using this Site Content and structure we can maintain Versoining also.
If any one face the same issue then we can easily find out the solution.

I did copy it to my desktop, but it still won't let me open it. I think the file on the disc might be corrupt or something like that though the cd itself checks out fine as far as viruses go. I was able to verify the disc, but that's about it. My husband tried it on his iMac and we have the same issue. It's unzipping the folder, but won't let us open the folder on both the Mac Book Pro or the iMac by double clicking, going to file/open or right clicking. It just keeps saying the same message as I posted above. I think I'm just going to have the client put the pictures on either a memory card or a USB memory stick so she won't have to compress the files for zipping purposes. It's been too frustrating trying to open this folder on this cd she gave me. She said she created/zipped the cd on her Mac Book Pro but it sure won't open on mine.

Weird error message using phone as iPod

When I plug my iPhone into my car's iPod connection cord (which works fine with regular iPods and does not cause regular iPods to display any weird error messages), the iPhone says something about how "...that accessory does not work with the iPhone..." and asks me whether I want to switch to airplane mode. In spite of this weird message, I am able to play my music via the usual method in my car. Weird. Remedy?

Many iPod accesories were not designed to operate in close proximity to a GSM phone. The iPhone is a GSM phone. There is a program for iPod accessory manufacturers to test and certify their accesories for use with the iPhone. This article contains more information:

That being said, many will work without going into airplane mode, some will get interference from the GSM signal that will come through as a hum or sometimes popping noise. Since sending and receiving the GSM signal is needed to make calls, the iPhone can't be shielded to prevent interfering, the accessory needs to be.

The short answer is the car adapter may work without going into Airplane Mode, or it may have interference from the GSM signal at times.

Error message when compiling invalid packages and procedures

Hi.
I have a routine for copying certain data from a production database to a test database. To do this I disable constraints and triggers, truncate tables, copy tables and enable triggers and constraints again.
Now several of my functions, procedures and packages are made invalid and marked with a red cross. In SQL Developer I can compile invalid functions, procedures and packages. When I compile functions it works fine, but when compiling procedures and packages I get the following error message:

ORA-00904: "ATTRIBUTE": Invalid identifier
Vendor code 904
When I click OK on this message I get a confirmation saying:
Packages have been compiled with #0.CNT# errors.
I had this error in both the previous and the new version. Is this a bug or is there a way to come around it? When I copy and modify the SQL generated to perform this task and run it in SQL Plus it works fine.
I use Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4, SQL Developer version 1.2.1, Oracle 9.2.0.8.0 and Java version 1.5.0_11

i have now upgraded to Java 1.6 update 2. I still get basically the same error, but it is presented a little bit differently:

My program compiles fine, no errors, but when the emulator is running and I click on the MIDlet I want to run I get the following error message, even tho
I have that class defined in my library:
Uncaught exception java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: org/bouncycastle/crypto/InvalidCipherTextException.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of this error?

For user library like bouncy caste libraries,
cldc_crypto.zip
cldc_classes.zip
you can try to add user library as following in netbean,
1. Right-click the your project node in Projects window and select Properties
2. Select Build / Libraries & Resources in properties tree
3. Click Add Jar/Zip
I am not sure if it is right way to add user libraries in netbean, but here you can read more about it.

Keep getting a weird error message in AE CS4

I keep getting this error message concerning a few of the files in my Project bin:
I get this message multiple times when I open this particular project and repeatedly click "OK" until the project finishes opening up. The result is missing files. When I go to replace the file with the proper file which it already should be anyways it pops up this error message on me again. What does this mean and why are my files not able to be in AE? Sometimes they are and sometimes not.
I can drag the same file into the project bin and it will work fine (but I have to go through the trouble of putting it back in the correct spot in the layer stacking order in my compositions that use this particular file).

Hi, still having this problem. What's weird is it's intermittent. I'll go to open the project one day from the same drive hooked up the same way and it will work and then the next day, without even having imported anything into the project the previous day, it will give me the error and I'm screwed because there's so many files that are "missing". I tried renaming a long file name with only 10 characters in the finder and then replacing the file in AE and when I hit OK it gave me the same exact error message.

Error message when compiling WinHelp 2000

I'm working a project in RoboHelp X5 using WinHelp 2000 to
create context-sensitive help. I have been working on this project
for about a week now, and just this afternoon started getting an
error whenever I attempted to compile. The error pop-up reads:
"hpj2hlp
The WinHelp Wizard encountered an unexpected error when
attempting to generate WinHelp."
Is anyone else familiar with this error message? How can it
be fixed?

The two or so times I got that kind of message, they turned
out to be due to corrupted .rtf files. The solution that I found
and applied successfully was to delete all of the .rtf files from
my project folder in Windows Explorer (not in the RH environment),
open the project, make a minor change to the default .doc file
(simply add a space, then delete it), click the Save All button in
the RH Explorer pane, then the button for compiling and generating
the WinHelp file - doing all that forced RH to regenerate the .rtf
files for all of the .doc files (the source files), and the
regenerated .rtf files were "clean" - the project compiled nicely
and resulted in a good WinHelp file. I hope the same works for you.
