Weird Script Alert message

Using PS CS3, I opened a few JPG images taken with a Nikon D100 a few years ago. I copy/pasted one image on top of another, flattened it and saved as a PSD. Later on, when I double-click on the PSD, PS opens and I get a script alert:
"Nikon Corp, Nikon D100, was used to shoot this file!"
Well, yes and no. The original JPEGs were of course shot with the D100, but the PSD certainly was not.
So, if I leave PS open, close the file and double-click it again, the same message does not appear. But if I close PS and then repeat the above, the message re-appears. Which leaves me with two questions:
1. What's the point of this misleading message?
2. How do I get rid of it, permanently?

My first guess is that you might have an event setup in:-
File - Scripts - Scripts Event Manager
There is a script in there that does give model and make, maybe someone has modified it so that it only alert on a certain type/make?

    Hi,
    You can NOT do it with Javascript.

  • Script Alert: "Sorry I could not process the following files" (Error Message using Image Processor)

    I'm a seasoned Photoshop/Bridge CS5 user who recently upgraded to CS6.  In Bridge I just ran my first Image Processor batch, trying to convert a set of RAW .NEF files to .PSD files with a basic editing action I created applied to them.  Photoshop CS6 opens the files from Bridge and applies the actions, but then I get the "Script alert" error message "Sorry I could not process the following files" and a list of all of the files in the batch I was trying to run the script on.  The files all remain open and are saved on my hard drive in a folder created by the Image Processor script, but do not close unless I manually close them.  I never had this problem in CS5 where the image processor would apply the desired actions to the batch of photos one at a time, then save and close.  Thoughts on how I can fix this bug?

    Hey Jeff--
    No specific action steps to make the image safe - no flattening, etc. Had problems narrowing down the specific action step causing the problem. So I ran the Image Processor script in the ExtendScript ToolKit and debugged in. (I'm using the version that shipped with CS4.)
    Turns out what was happening is that the app.activeDocument.close() command on line 1490 was never getting called, because the this.SaveFile() above it was throwing an exception. More debugging got me to the problem - SaveFile() tries to restore the history state after making a doc safe for saving as a JPEG. This causes an exception. So I commented out line 1571:
    // app.activeDocument.ativeHistoryState = historyState;
    The script runs just fine after this. I commented out the close to see what history states got added to the doc, but no new states are recorded, so commenting out the restore line should not cause any problems.
    Of course, my solution does not solve the problem and I may need to comment out all the saveFile() lines that does this. Not sure why some actions have this problem and others don't. The actions I am running have about 25 steps. Perhaps PS is not catching up quick enough. I added a $.sleep(2500) after the restore history but that didn't help.
    So, not sure where this gets us. I will check about posting an action set with just one of the actions that cause the problem. But I may also have our customer comment out that line of the Image Processor script.
    Hope this helps. May post more next week.

    I have an internet enabled Nokia E71. when I try accessing my (web based) microsoft outlook web app mail through the web on the phone, ie. by typing web address as 'https://owa.*****.org/owa' then on entering the username and password mail account opens for a second and there is a pop up notification which say 'script alert: Undefined' and on clicking OK, another screen opens which says 'You have succesfully logged off from outlook web app'.
    It worked up until we upgraded our Exchange Server in August! any ideas?

    Hi friends,
    I am using N79 and get the same error. I tried different browsers, finally opera did it.
    Download  "opera mobile 12 (S60)" and it works fine with the OWA in light version as like tablets.

  • Safari comin up with weird alert message after 10.4.3 update

    after installing the OS 10.4.3 update safari comes up with alert message when launched: Safari 2.0.2 (v416.12) has not been tested with the plugin (null) (null) (v0.51). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer for further information.

    I have the same error message for the "(null) (null)" plugin, different version number. I suspect there are going to be a lot of these as people update to 10.4.3.
    How do we go about removing these plug-ins, or at least this paticular one, so we do not have to deal with the error message after starting up Safari every time? Under Help => Installed Plug-ins, I see it lists plug-ins from a Plug-ins.html file within the Safari.app package, but it's not clear how to manually manage them. I do not want to uncheck in Preferences all the Safari Plug-ins from loading. For this particular error, I'm not sure I want to mess with SIMBL.bundles...

    Create a keyboard shortcuts (ctrl + shift + b) for your script and try...
    Code must be like this:
    alert("Bold Shortcut....");
    app.selection[0].fontStyle = "Bold";
    P.S.: you have to set conditions for bold, bold italic, etc.

    If your end goal is showing a pretty error message instead of the message that the tables unique constraint raises try the following. This logic will show a nice message and not try to insert non-unique data.
    (1) Create a validation of type "Function Returning Error Text".
    (2) Place similar code like the following in your validation. Notice that if the unique name does not exist the no_data_found returns null allowing the validation to pass.
    DECLARE
      v_error varchar2(100);
    BEGIN
      SELECT 'A person by this name already exists.'
      INTO v_error
      FROM your_table
      WHERE your_name = :P1_YOUR_NAME;
      RETURN v_error;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN no_data_found THEN
        RETURN NULL;
    END;

    "Current browser"? When viewing anything, or just when using an APEX app?
    Ans .. Just when using apex app....even if the apex app is minimised ..The current browser will be the one where I am using apex app...
    What i am looking for some scheduler .. to check ..in the table every 5 minute for change if there is a change..then a popup alert be shown...
    Split it into [at least] 2 components, database and browser. I'd expect someone calling themself a "DBA Architect" to have some ideas about the database side of things, even if not clued up on JavaScript and AJAX?
    I dont think its a database isssue... When i say to check every 5 minutes ..it could be easily done via dbms_scheduler ...I am having issue in getting the popup alert message...
    in apex... Dont know wether there is a plugin like modal window(available from skill builder) which shall help in this scenario,.Or might be have to use java scripting and ajax ..
    and if it is that (Java scripting and Ajax) .....then shall have to be familiar with java scripting and Ajax...and this shall be a bit time consuming..
    Had a feeling this could be accomplished via java scripting and ajax.. ...but still looking for some easy way..

    I agree w 936671, do this in PL/SQL. Much, much easier.
    However, I will recommend a different approach using PL/SQL.
    1) Create a package to send the emails. Sample code:
    create or replace package cust_fnd_utilities as
    procedure send_email(     p_sender     in     varchar2,
                   p_recipient      in      varchar2,
                   p_subject     in     varchar2,
                   p_message     in     varchar2);
    end cust_fnd_utilities;
    create or replace package body cust_fnd_utilities as
    procedure send_email(     p_sender     in     varchar2,
                   p_recipient      in      varchar2,
                   p_subject     in     varchar2,
                   p_message     in     varchar2)
    is
    v_mail_host     varchar2(30);
    v_crlf      constant varchar2(2):= chr(13)||chr(10);
    v_message     varchar2(10000);
    v_mail_conn     utl_smtp.connection;
    begin
    v_mail_host := 'localhost';
    v_mail_conn := utl_smtp.open_connection(v_mail_host, 25);
    v_message :=      'Date: ' ||
         to_char(sysdate, 'dd Mon yy hh24:mi:ss') || v_crlf ||
         'From: <'|| p_sender ||'>' || v_crlf ||
         'Subject: '|| p_subject || v_crlf ||
         'To: '||p_recipient || v_crlf || '' || v_crlf || p_message;
    utl_smtp.ehlo(v_mail_conn, v_mail_host);
    utl_smtp.mail(v_mail_conn, p_sender);
    utl_smtp.rcpt(v_mail_conn, p_recipient);
    utl_smtp.data(v_mail_conn, v_message);
    utl_smtp.quit(v_mail_conn);
    exception
    when others then
         utl_smtp.close_connection(v_mail_conn);
    end send_email;
    end cust_fnd_utilities;
    2) Build the email, then call the package from step #1. Sample code:
    create or replace package cust_fnd_monitoring as
    procedure profile_options_build_email (     p_errbuf     out     varchar2,
                             p_retcode     out     varchar2,

                             p_recipient     in     varchar2);
    end cust_fnd_monitoring;
    create or replace package body cust_fnd_monitoring as
    procedure profile_options_build_email (     p_errbuf     out     varchar2,
                             p_retcode     out     varchar2,
                             p_sender     in     varchar2,
                             p_recipient     in     varchar2)
    is
    v_subject          varchar2(100) := 'erpgamd1 - Recent Profile Option Changes';
    v_mime_type          varchar2(100) := 'Content-Type: text/html';
    v_body               varchar2(10000);
    v_line_feed          varchar2(1):=chr(10);
    cursor profile_cur is
    select     p.user_profile_option_name,

  • Alert message in pl/sql code

    I have a form based on procedure and i want when the procedure executed to appear an alert message. The form is as a portlet to a page. This is the code in the procedure
    htp.p('<SCRIPT>alert("my message");</SCRIPT>');
    The problem is that after the allert message, appears a page with a green icon and a 'back to form' link.
    I want to click on the OK button and returns to the same page. Can anybody tell me what have to do?
    Thanks

    I add the go procedure to the "On successful submission" but when the form is executed returns to the page without appears the alert message i want.
    In fact i want to execute the form and to appear a message in a form like as the message which appears in a form when an optional field is null. That missage is "item_name cannot be null".You click the OK button and continue to the same page. I want that functionality when the form is executed. For example when the form is executed i want to appear the message "The procedure was successful" and the user have to press only the OK button and continue explore the same page.
    Remember that my form is on store procedure and the allert code is in the procedure's body

  • How to convert javascript alert message into an Inline message in Apex Page

    Hi All. Im new to Apex.
    Present Approach -
    I have a dynamic report region developed using API's like APEX_ITEM etc. I am using java scripts to validate these dynamic items and popup alert messages as shown below -
    function ValidateNotObservedCB(p_row_num)
    var v_row_num = p_row_num;
    var v_not_observed_cb_status = document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).checked;
    var v_not_in_district_cb_status = document.getElementById('f_notindistrict_'+v_row_num).checked;
    var v_program_code = document.getElementById("f_program_code_"+v_row_num).value;
    if ( (v_program_code.length>0)&& ( document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).checked==true ))
         bold alert("You have already entered a program code.") bold
         document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).checked=false ;
         document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).value='N';
    } else if ( (v_program_code.length==0)&& ( document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).checked==true )) {
         document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).value='Y';
         document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).checked=true ;
    } else
         document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).checked=false ;
         document.getElementById('f_notindistrict_'+v_row_num).checked=false;
         document.getElementById('f_notindistrict_'+v_row_num).value='N';
         document.getElementById('f_notobserved_'+v_row_num).value='N';
    Question/Issue - How can I convert these alert messages into Inline messages to show on the page, similar to what appears when we do Item Validations in APEX.
    Waiting for responses as this is an urgent requirement.

    </script>I do not know does it help. Using this depend much on theme, defined class and IDs.

    I have a question about verify the JavaScript alert message on page. For example, I input the script in browser address like: "javascript:onmouseover=alert('popup windows')" . How to verify there's a alert message displayed on page with C#?
    Thanks

    Are you trying to use some automation or ? What the previous solution is they have put the text in the dom for you to pull out with C# or other languages.
    if you are trying to automate this through a browser maybe look into WebDriver
    WebDriverWait wait = new WebDriverWait(driver, 2);
    wait.until(ExpectedConditions.alertIsPresent());
    Alert alert = driver.switchTo().alert(); var alertText = alert.Text;
    alert.accept();

  • Not able to display javascript alert message from within a pl/sql block

    Hello,
    Can anyone please help me out with this issue. I wanted to display an javascript alert message from within a pl/sql block for an update button. Below is sample code which i am using. P1_ITEM is my hidden item on the report.
    begin
    if :P1_ITEM IS NOT NULL then
    HTP.p ('<script type="text/javascript">');
    HTP.p ('alert(''Please complete the item which is already assigned to you!'');');
    HTP.p ('</script>');
    end if;
    end;
    and I have made this code to be executed conditionally when request = Expression1
    Expression1: SUBMIT
    The thing is I am not able to display an alert message when the update button is clicked.
    Can anyone please help me with this one.
