when we are creating generic data source in RSO2 we have an option about safety intervals (lower limit and upper limit)
can some one give the explanation why we maintain safety intervals and what is the standard intervals should maintain,
what will be the problem occurs if we dont maintain intervals

Follow these you would see lot of info:

the safety limits dictate what amount of overlap you can have between two successive delta requests.

"The upper limit for safety interval contains the difference between the current highest value at the time of the delta or initial delta extraction and the data that has actually been read. If this value is initial, records that are created during extraction cannot be extracted."
this would mean that if your extractor takes half an hour to run , then ideally your safety upper limit should be half hour or more , this way records created during extraction are not missed.
For example :
If you start extraction at 12:00:00 with no safety interval and then your extract runs for 15 minutes , the delta pointer will read 12:15:00 and subsequent delta will read records created / changed on or after 12:15:00 - this would mean that all records created / changed during extraction are skipped.
Estimate the extraction time for your datasource and then accordingly set the safety upper limit so that no records are skipped. But then this being an additive delta - you need to be careful not to double your records . Ideally this being an additive delta - either extract records during periods of very low activity or have smaller safety limits to make sure data does not get duplicated.

If the consignment stocks are not managed by the sold-to party but by a central office, you can use the partner function for special stock partner.
Prerequisites
Special Stock Partner
The special stock partner has been defined for carrying out consignment stock processing by means of a third party rather than the customer. This means you can manage all special stock under one partner. It makes sense to use the special stock partner if your customer is using decentralized order processing but manages consignment stock centrally.
Inventory Management Using the Special Stock Partner
If you want to process your consignment goods using a special stock partner, proceed as follows:
Create a customer master record for the special stock partner (account groups 0001 and DEBI are defined for this purpose in the standard system).
Enter the special stock partner in the relevant customer master record on the partner screen using the partner function SB.
When you create an order for this customer, the system automatically proposes the partner function SB in the document header and the document items. Consignment goods which have been entered in a consignment fill-up are always posted to the stock of the special stock partner when goods issue is carried out. Consignment fill up is used to supplement the customers consignment stock.

Consignment issue
Any consignment goods stored at the customers warehouse that havent been used can be reposted to your companys warehouse with a consignment pick-up.
If the customer returns consignment stock to you, you record the transaction in the system by creating a consignment pick-up order (order type KA). As a result, the system carries out the following actions:
When goods issue is posted, the relevant quantity is deducted from the customers special stock and is added back into your regular stock at the plant where the goods are returned. Your total valuated stock remains the same since the returned stock was regarded as part of your own inventory even while it was at the customers premises.
This transaction is not relevant for billing.
Consignment return
Consignment returns are used for when your customer wants to return goods to the consignment stock.
If the customer wishes to claim on consignment goods which have already been issued, you can record this transaction by creating a consignment return order (order type KR). As a result, the system carries out the following actions:
When goods issue is posted, the relevant quantity is added to the customers special stock at the plant where the goods are returned
Since the ownership of the goods is passed from the customer back to your company, the transaction is relevant for billing. In this case, the customer receives a credit memo for the returned goods.
Depending on the settings in Customizing for Sales, you can create consignment returns with direct reference to a consignment issue. The consignment issue appears in the document flow for the consignment return. This function is not supported in the standard version of the SAP R/3 System.
When you create consignment returns in the standard version of the SAP R/3 System, the system automatically sets a billing block. To credit a return, you must first approve the request for a credit memo by removing the billing block in the return header. You can control the automatic setting of a billing block in Customizing for Sales.

If you need Windows as your main operating system you would be better off buying a Real Windows PC.
Running windows on a Mac is always a compromise. Whether in a Boot Camp partition or in a Virtual Machine.
In boot camp you can't easily Re-Partition and or Re-Size the drive it is installed on. You can't use both graphics cards as Apple has limited Windows to use the discrete graphics only, that is if your mac has 2 graphics cards (15" MBPs), which will shorten the battery run time in Windows.
The trackpad only has limited functions in Windows, less then is available on the Mac side and a real Windows PC.

SRM RFC users for ERP , what are the profile/roles should be used?

I have integrated SRM and ERP systems using config wizard. Multiple rfc accounts were created automatically by the wizard but what i did was i skipped on the profile and role field because i don't know what to put. Now, I am battling on what profiles and roles should i put there since the wizard didn't do the automatic placing of authorizations and roles for me.
here are the users that have been created automatically by the config wizard.

Please help on what ABAP Roles and Profiles should i place to it.

Hi ,
The user should have profile SAP_ALL assigned automatically when you run the CTC script.
Else please assign manually.

What are the runtime advantages of using Java generics?

I have downloaded Build 31 (courtesy of JavaLobby) and compiled the following program.
Both methods (main and main2) are compiled to the exact same bytecodes (use javap -c to dump the bytecodes). I believe that the generics version (main) is clearer and cleaner (I regularly use templates in my C++ programs), but for the JVM they are exactly the same thing.
Why did not the JVM was slightly modified to support without using erasure (the checkcast opcode that is used in compiling (String) it.next() could be eliminated in for (String v : s) )?

i have written one win32 dll, in that what are the project settings should i follow to access the dll file from the lab view..
i have done the following changes but still its not working,
1. Added the library.lib to the dll from the installed path of lab view
2. project settings > settings for All configuration

use run time lib : Multi threaded dll
processor : blend
struct member allignment :1 byte
call convention : _cdecl*
For my driver access i have included the sys file.

How are you trying to access the DLL from LabVIEW? Have you tried using the Call Library Function Node? This should allow you to access the functions within the DLL. I hope this helps!

IPhone 3G - thinking of getting one but... what are the potential issues?

I'm thinking of getting an iPhone 3G because:
1. I've been writing iPhone apps with a friend of mine (already have two in the app store) and I think I'm probably the only iPhone developer in the world who doesn't actually own an iPhone himself. My friend and partner in this venture has worked extra time doing actual testing on her original iPhone (and we've had other beta testers too), but there is only so much I can do in the simulator. I can't develop multi-touch or accelerometer features without my own device. And I feel I shouldn't put the entire hardware testing burden on her.
2. I like the iPhone browser and the ability to use apps and a lot of other aspects of the iPhone.
3. I live in Japan, and switching from my AU cell phone to the iPhone is actually a bargain here. There is no money down, and the payment plans start at like $25/month to a max of about $68/month. So it's actually cheaper here than in the U.S. Even adding in the $10-$15 extra charge for 24 months until the phone itself is paid off, it's no more expensive than my current cell phone. And I can keep my current phone number.
So it would seem to be a no-brainer. I should just walk over to my nearest Softbank store and get one, right?
The only thing holding me back is this - every time (and I mean every single time with no exaggeration) that I have ever purchased an Apple portable device, including every single one of my many MacBooks and MacBook Pros over the years and the iPod nano 3G I bought last year, have had problems that needed immediate care and replacement or servicing and, in the case of the iPod 3G that awful "tilted LCD" problem that after 3 exchanges I had to have the consumer affairs office in Tokyo arrange with Apple for me to get a refund on.
I love the systems, I am using my MacBook Pro right now as I write this message (already been repaired twice and the trackpad is acting funny again - glad I have AppleCare), but I dread the mental stress of dealing with getting my new out-of-the-box Apple products fixed. I feel they have quality checking problems with certain of the product lines.
I just know that there is going to be something really annoyingly wrong with the iPhone 3G as soon as I turn it on - like obviously dead pixels, or a tilted LCD like with the iPod nano 3G, or some weird color discolorations, or something loose and jiggly like with my MBP battery cover or ... I don't know... something. It's just happened too often with me to not be wary.
So my question is this. If the Softbank store lets me turn on and check out the iPhone before buying it, what are the things I should look out for?
Are there common, well-known issues with the iPhone 3G that I can check for, similar to the tilted screen issue on the iPod nano 3G?
Any suggestions would be welcome.
I would like to get an iPhone. I just want one with no problems out-of-the-box.

So the new phone I got was working so good and than about two weeks later my phone would blink on and off and it would freeze on you during call's are anything.So you already know what I had to do again I had to drive other 138 miles there and back and I was not happy about that at all.So this time before I went I made appt that morning to come and they told me to come around 200pm but for me to try to be there at least ten minutes early.So I made it there around 145pm they didn't get to me still around 315pm.So when they final call me to go talk to someone about what's going on with my phone.They ask me for my receipt and I let them know I didn't have it cause they didn't give it to me cause yale told me I didn't need it cause yale was going to send it to my email address.
So they went to try to look up my email address,That took them other 30 minutes to find it,But they finial found it in there system.So they went on and exchange my phone again with no problem at all.
So this phone I got was doing so good, I really thought my trouble was all over still I saw a black line running down my screen of my phone.So I had to get on the phone with apple again so I can make other appt for the 3rd time,So I can go up there and bring this phone so they can look at it,Cause I thought maybe I was seening something are it suppose to be on my phone and I didn't know,But to come to find out it didn't suppose to be on my phone so they had to replaces my phone for the 3rd time.
So I bent haveing this phone That I got now about 3 months now and I got to tell you I went through **** and back to get this phone and it's really doing good really love the phone so much I'm so glade that I didn't give up on this phone because I was haveing so much bad luck with getting a IPhone I was about to give up but I am so glade that I kept trying.It really is a great phone to have it have so much on this phone I love it.I just hope I don't have no more problem down the line cause I don't want to go through this again.

User navigates on a Marketing website, spots items he/she is interested in and add them to the LOCAL shopping cart (without leaving the current website), after adding many items he/she decides to buy these items buy clicking FINISH, at this moment we add the N items to ATG shopping cart (how??) and redirect the user to ATG's home.

- Enterprise Structure info (Dist Channels,Divisions etc)
- Condition Master Data in Pricing.
I believe, all these need to be uploaded during GO Live.

I really need your help now. I use a DVD ripper to rip DVD to MP4 for Apple TV. I am trying to achieve quality that is close to a movie (m4v) from iTunes. What are the best settings to get this type of quality? I am not concerned with output file size, and I just want to get the very best quality I can. If so, what are the specific settings I should adjust to? The program I am using allows me to adjust video and audio parameters as below:
Video parameters:
Codec: h.264
Resolution: 1280*720
Bit rate: ??? (it is said Up to 5 Mbps, but what is the specific bit rate?)
Frame rate: 24 fps
Audio parameters:
Codec: aac
Sample rate: ???
Bit rate: ??? it is said 16 to 320 Kbps, but what’s the specific figure?
Audio channel: mono, stereo and 5.1 channel, which one should I choose?

Well, then how about playback Apple TV uncompatible video files?
