What are these two settings in the "Advanced" tab?

Hello,
So I've recently cleaned out my library (deleted duplicated tracks and tracks that I don't like anymore), after doing so I've consolidated them. I did that to delete the BIG folders of music I had on my hard drive (because when I delete from iTunes and the track isn't consolidated, the track is still on the hard drive). Now, what do I do to have iTunes consolidate every track I add to my library?
And what is the difference between "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library"? And do they do?
I tried reading the little "description" and that just confused me even more.
Thanks if you're able to help me out.

Here's a pretty good explanation of what those two options do:

what do I do to have iTunes consolidate every track I add to my library?
What precisely to you mean by "consolidate"? If you want iTunes to keep things organized and in it's own folder, checkmark those two options. Then iTunes will keep everything neatly in the iTunes folder, and once added you can delete any extra copies.
Hope this helps.

  • What are these two powerbooks worth roughly?

I have a 15" 1.67 low res power book, here are some basic stats
1gb memory, 80 gb hd, 10.5.7. MS office, then all standard.
Excellent condition. No issues whatsover, great screen.
And a customer wants to trade some of my labor for this one
    15" 1.5 power book
512 mb ram, 80 gb, I think its running leopard, has MS office, needs charger (no big deal, can get one on ebay)
Im thinking about taking the labor trade (for a couple hundred off the bill), and selling both on ebay or maybe craigslist. Then getting a high res (maybe 17") or maybe macbook pro.
Anyone been paying attention to what they're worth? Are the High res models that much better? Should I get a Pro?
    Thanks

The high-res models are better in that they are the last ones Apple made and have all the bugs and such worked out of them. Also, the screen resolution is a huge PLUS.
I got a 15-inch 1.5GHz on eBay and after doing some tests, realized I'd have more space with the high-res 1.67GHz model and improved specs like faster RAM and a Double-Layer SuperDrive.
So, I did get that 1.67GHz model and sold the 1.5GHz to my friend.
Of course, I've since upgraded to a MacBook Pro unibody (Late 2008). It's all up to you and based on your, one, needs and work, and two, your budget. You can even get an older MacBook Pro which would be a huge bump over your PowerBook G4.

  • What are these two new songs? (hip hop)

Just this week for the first time I've heard two songs I've never heard before on the radio. All I can remember is the hook from each of them.
One of them often says "Ridin on three" and the other says "Do you wanna pimp mista". Does anyone know which songs these are? Thanks!

I will suggest these four websites

as good lyric websites, in which you can search for a lyric. Of course, there are more, I just can't find anymore right now.

  • Hi.  I'm trying to set-up the wireless access times in my Airport Utility.  I need to enter the "Description" and the "MAC Address" of each wireless client before I assign access times. What are these?  Thanks.

Hi.  I'm trying to set-up the wireless access times in my Airport Utility.  I need to enter the "Description" and the "MAC Address" of each wireless client before I assign access times. What are these?  Thanks.

Let's say that an iPhone is one of the wireless clients that you want to allow access to the network.
The Description of this device is anything that you want to specify for easy identification purposes. For example, the Description might be something like......
    Rex's iPhone
The MAC Address, also known as a Wi-Fi Address is  a unique indentifiction number that is assigned to every device. The number will always follow this form:
xx : xx : xx : xx : xx : xx, where "x" could be a number or letter.
To find the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address of an iPhone or iPad.....
    On the Home screen.....
    Tap Settings
    Tap General
    Tap About
Wi-Fi Address is the item that you want
If you have a Mac computer......you can find the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address as follows:
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
    Open Network
Click on Wi-Fi on the left
Click Advanced at the lower right
The Wi-Fi Address for the Mac is located at the bottom of the window
Other wireless devices usually have the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address on the label on the back or bottom of the device

  • What are these settings about?

In the editor workspace immediately below the photo you are working, on is a drop down tap which can display documents profile, documents dimensions, sizes, scratch sizes, timing etc. What are these settings all about I didn't see them mentioned in the manual? And then over to the left a area where it shows percentage. Percentage of what?
    I'm using PSE5

This information is present in the help files.
Just open the help for PSE 5, and type the word 'status' in 'Search for' input for the product.
This will lead you to 'To display file information in the Info palette or status bar' page. It contains the answer to your query.
The percentage is to specify the Zoom percentage of your image.

I use Firefox 95% of the time, and there's no problem with flash content (and I'm still at .55 - downloaded .64 last week but I haven't got round to making the change yet). At the rate they've been changing it recently it may well be out of date already .
I've been trying it in Safari, too with no problems apart from You Tube, but that's because I'm blocking Google cookies.
One thought does occur - if your Flash preferences are set to block all Local Storage, it may be that the problem site is trying to use Flash cookies (LSOs). I had this problem recently with the BBC iPlayer streaming content. Little Snitch notified an attempt to connect to a new URL - emp.bbci.co.uk.
If I disallowed it, no streaming; when I allowed the connection, it still wouldn't stream, so I did a bit of digging and came to the conclusion that it was trying to set a Flash cookie. When I unblocked, lo and behold - streaming resumed as normal.
I now have LSOs blocked in a more subtle way that lets the site think it's being set (but it ain't) and the streaming still works.
As for permissions repair - always repair from local; the permissions on the original disc will have been superceded by updates and new installations of Apple software.
DU needs to be reading the packages on the HD, not the (now out of date) install disc.
The recurring repair messages are normal and don't mean anything's wrong. As long as the final message is 'repair complete' there's no need to dwell on it.

Using the Mac with your iPad has nothing to do with the fact that the iPad is running slow. There could be any number of reasons why the iPad is now running slow.
Have you tried a reset on the iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Gift cards can only be used in the App/iTunes store in the country in which they were purchased. You can only purchase items from the store of the country you are physically located.

Do you happen to have an Android?  If so and depending on what version there is a great data usage analyse tool built-in.  See if you can go to Settings -> Data Usage  from there you can pick a current or previous billing cycle and then use the vertical sliders to select a date range and it will filter the usage data per app to show you exactly what app(s) were using data during that time frame.

  • What are these called?

    Hi,
I am trying to figure out what this element is?  Since I dont know what its actually called I have to provide a picture for my example.
What are these elements called?  I have pointed to them in my image with the red arrows.  Im pretty sure the horizontal ones are  a "horizontal rule".  But what about the vertical ones?  And how does one implement them in a site?  http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g29/FartyMcFly/Example.jpg
Thanks for any answers in advance and I apologize if its something stupidly simple.

How do I set the length of the border lines.
I'm afraid there is no support for that in current CSS2 standards.
You will be able to do it with CSS3 border-images.  But not for a few more years.
    http://www.css3.info/preview/border-image/
In the meantime, you could put your border on a neighboring division -- see example below:

    Hi Sam,
    See these links:
How-to trigger a process chain using ABAP?
Re: scheduling process chain 3 specific times a day
NOTE: If you want to trigger the process chain from R/3, there are many examples in this forum. However, since the search function is not working now, I suggest you look at OSS Note 135637. This will show you how to do it also.
    Hope this helps.
    concerning to sm64 ..
    Triggering events manually ...
Events let you start background jobs when particular changes in the R/3 System take place. When an event occurs, the background processing system starts all jobs that were scheduled to wait for that event.
example : JOB_OPEN to create a background job..
When scheduling a background job, you can specify it to start "after event".
If you do so, you'll have to create an event in SM62.
If a job is scheduled after event event and you trigger the event with SM64, the job will start.
Events can be raised by external systems in SAP by sending a command to a SAP application server. You can also raise event in any program using function mosule BP_EVENT_RAISE.
    Reward if helpful.

  • Using `n how can i add two empty line (two carriage return), between these two lines in the output file?

    hi friends
using `n   how can i add two empty line (two carriage return), between these two lines in the output file?
    PS C:\> $env:COMPUTERNAME | add-content c:\file.txt
    PS C:\> $Env:USERDOMAIN  | add-content c:\file.txt
     i tested "$env:computername`n`n`n$env:userdomain" | add-content c:\file.txt   but it results in
    myPCMyDomain
but i wanted the contents of the output file be like this:
    MyPC
    #empty line here
    #empty line here
    MyDomain
i tested many other forms but didn't work.
    thanks

I tried it, as well. The line breaks were respected in the PowerShell console, Programmer's Notepad, and Word; they weren't in Notepad.
You are using a Unicode file.  Locale is what?
If you just want notepad compatible line breaks then do this:
    del file.txt ; "$env:computername`r`n`r`n`r`n$env:userdomain" | add-content file.txt ;notepad file.txt
Look in hex to see that `n is ^L or 0xA and is only one character.  CrLf is 0xD 0xA - two characters.
My programmers editors and VS all understand a single ^L as a line break so does PowerShell.  Only DOS/Notepad and other utilitis don't understand this..
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • What are Novells recommended settings for policies

    Hello,
Who can tell me please what are Novells recommended settings for policies? Should we make a few big Policy where everything is handled (for example a policy for standalone workstations, one for desktop PCs, one for notebooks etc..) or single policies (for example "Desktop Wallpaper", "Enable Active Desktop", or "Turn off Aero Shake window minimizing mouse gesture" and so on) and put them in a PolicyGroup. What is the best way?

The fewer the policies the better.
Generally Folks do something such as a WS assigned policy as a baseline
and then a user one to over-ride.
Trying to create one policy per setting would likely cause windows great
confusion as well as being very slow.

What are these charges on my credit card?  I only downloaded free and from $0.99 to $2.99.?

Apps may have been free to download, but have you then made in-app purchases within them e.g. to unlock extra features (if you go to the app's description page on your computer's iTunes does it list top in-app purchases on the left-hand side) ? You can turn off in-app purchases on your iPhone via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off'.
