osx 10.7.4 safari 6.0 When I add a new bookmark to the "bookmarks menu" it is added somewhere in the middle instead of at the end of the list. This just started a few days ago after an update. Has anyone else noticed this?.
Just for those who are interested, this is what cleared the "bookmark menu" trbl I had.
Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Bookmarks, then reselect it.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a bookmark again. -

When in Twitter & someone tweets using TMI - when I click on the link to open it I get an empty TMI.me screen. This is a new problem - started a few days ago. In frustration I tried Explorer today to see if I have the same problem there & I don't so it is definitely a Firefox problem. Can anyone tell me how to resolve it? Wld hate to have to use Explorer!

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Basically my iPhone 4 asked for my Apple ID and I entered it thinking it was just some check or something and then I've just been scrolling through my music library and there is a whole U2 album there and i have never even heard of U2... i clicked on one of the songs to see what it was and it came up with "This device is already associated with an apple ID. If you download past purchases with your apple ID, you cannot auto download or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days."
I Can't delete the album like I can with my other music from my phone and I don't really want to connect my phone to my laptop incase I have been hacked and it could give the person all access to my phone?

Is there any way to get an older version of the app that can be compatible or to "copy" the app from one iPod to the other?
Or maybe to update the opperating system??you can by downloading iTunes to your computer/laptop but before plugging it in to the computer make sure all of your apps are on it then just sync the restored iPod to your computer and all of the apps on the computer will go to your iPod.. Good Luck

I'm not surprised. Most car outlets do not provide sufficient power for the iPad to charge, but will work fine with an iPhone. Mine does the same thing. -

I went in to my settings and worked and worked with it to no avail. So I decided to delete that account and try to re-add it. Forget it. I have worked for 2 days now or more and tried everything under the sun. I am not a computer geek but I am no dummy to them either. It always says server is not working or something like that. I have become so fed up with computer technology lately that I want to take my laptop, tablet and all of it and throw it against a brick wall. Why has everything become so complicated? I thought computer technology was improving. Not! Also, every single update rim had done has taken from my battery. When I first got it I could read on kobo for hours with no change in battery status hardly. After each update my battery got weaker and weaker until now I am lucky if I get an hour out of it on anything online and a good 2 hours reading, maybe. I loved it when I first got it, but it gets worse and worse. Help! I have a bellsouth email acct. and I used the info from my laptop and it gets and sends my mail just fine and has for forever. I just don't know what is up with it. And it would be so wonderful to have access to other readers besides just kobo. I tried to put some pdf books on it a few days ago and I could not get them to show up on my adobe reader for anything. I have others on there and some of them did and some didn't. Ugggh! What is up RIM with our tablets?

Can you use Sync data from a few days ago?
I was reinstalling Firefox 10, did the whole back up thing, and when i was importing my bookmarks, I accidentally overwrote it instead. So i don't have the bookmarks anymore, and I turned to the sync function, but seeing as I have never used the sync function before, I overwrote that as well. So my question is if there is a way to get sync data from a few days ago?
Printers do not normally have any memory of previous print jobs; the exception is that some more expensive models (but not yours) are fitted with hard disks which can, in some circumstances, retain certain print jobs.
The Windows spooler can be set to retain copies of print jobs, but as this is not the default situation, it is unlikely that your jobs will have been retained. -

Within my main timeline, I have a bunch of buttons that scale up on mouseOver and scale down on MouseOut. With your help, I have gotten these all set up exactly how I need them to be.... so thanks for that.
My next question is a bit trickier, I think I have a few options to achieve it, but curious what you think is the best way to do such a thing:
So, if you rollover a button, you get the scale up, now, what needs to happen, is when you click that button, the button scales to full screen with bleeds, check out the AS2 version here: www.straightlinenyc.com/introduction/launch.html (go to explore, and click any of the circles).
Right now, I am thinking that when you click a bubble, within its movieclip I will build the transition – so if you click, it will go to the btnHit label and there the button will scale up and set the stage for me to load in the case study work. My thinking is at the end of the scale up to full screen, I could put an enterFrame function, saying once you hit this frame, gotoAndPlay the case study frame that I will place on the main timeline.
Obviously, my problem right now, is that if you mouse off the buttons hit state while this is occurring, everything goes away – so thinking on hit I should remove the hit state child.
The other option that may make more sense, is to addChild the hit state, so when you click it, that just loads on top of the button then runs, is this the simpler way?

Here's someone's take on HTML5, a non-Adobe perspective, from a Silverlight developer. I thought this would be interesting to mention. Not sure I agree 100% with everything said (IE may not be most used browser and I don't believe in DRM), but it's an interesting read anyway:
Yes, you can do a LOT of stuff with HTML5 + JS that Silverlight is good for. But HTML5 will only reach Candidate Recommendation status in 2012 - if Silverlight keeps the current pace, it will be at V7 by then.
HTML5 will only get you approximately what Silverlight had at V1.0. A Canvas element, some video playback capabilites, and a Javascript programming model. Can you imagine how further advanced Silverlight 4 is at the moment?
Actually, scratch that - the video quality and availability of HTML5 is a lot worse than what Silverlight has to offer. There is no DRM, no Smooth Streaming, not even full screen! No GPU acceleration either. Even the codec HTML5 has to support is not standardized! This results in Firefox 3.6 having only Theora decoder, and Youtube experimenting with HTML in H.264 (on the same day FF3.6 launched), only playable in approx. 4-5% of the world's browsers.
Internet Explorer is still the most widely used browser on the web, and does not have HTML5. Currently, there are more Silverlight capable browsers browsing the web than HTML5 compatible ones. I don't think that in the next 3 years you will be able to create an HTML5 app and hope that at least 50% of the world's population can view it without switching browsers. (and remember: installing a plugin is a lot less hassle than switching to a new browser!)
HTML5 will not be truly cross-browser standard for quite a long time, if ever. There are too many things that the browser developer can do as they wish - just think about the aforementioned video codec issue. There are too many little differences in each browser's Javascript implementation to make it really portable.
The developer story: nothing in the HTML + JS world comes close to the awesome Visual Studio and Expression Blend tools. Javascript is cool for small apps, but cannot hold a candle to C# when it comes to serious development. Fighting with browser and OS incompatilities takes up a huge amount of time for any HTML website or web app - with Silverlight you don't have this.
Just compare what the best HTML / Ajax company in the world (Google) did with maps, and what MS did to see the difference. Go tohttp://maps.google.com/ (watch out - the Streetview part is in Flash, not Ajax), and compare it to http://www.bing.com/maps/explore/. That is the difference I am talking about.
Of course he means (or should have meant) Flex/Flash rather than just Flash. As for the GWT and other AJAX fanboys who I guess think browser compatibility problems are going to be a thing of the past (or won't be a drag on corporate bottom lines - haha), it makes you wonder what other wild fantasies they're envisioning for the future. Next they'll come and tell us XML-based protocols are going to be as fast as AMF...
