What does $ sign in a class name signifies

I have downloaded a project as a jar file(zip), when I unzipped it it gave me two files
SchoolQadBase.java( Which has Class defn and methods)
SchoolQadBase$RecordType.java(this has a Record type defined it).
What does the $ sign in the class name signifies?
Can I just include the RecordType in my SchoolQadBase.java and delete the other file?
If I rebuilt the project does that affect any of my functionality.
SchoolQadBase$RecordType.java
public enum RecordType
  CUSTOMER, END_USER, SHIP_TO, SALES_ORDER;
  private String value;
  public String getValue()
    return this.value;
My Java class SchoolQadBase.java
package org.atcc.erpproxy.model;
import java.io.Serializable;
import java.util.Date;
public class ErpQADBase extends AbstractErpObject
  implements Serializable
   private String rollNumber = "";
   private String department1 = "";
  private String department2 = "";
  private String room = "";
   private RecordType recordType;
public RecordType getRecordType() {
    return this.recordType;
  public void setRecordType(RecordType recordType) {
    this.recordType = recordType;
}

What does the $ sign in the class name signifies?It signifies that it is an inner class
Can I just include the RecordType in my SchoolQadBase.java and delete the other file?Definitely not

    Dear Humility,
    In general term higher level account group means which account group is used to the higher level customers in the Customer Hierarchy process.
    Or
    Which of these account groups are valid for higher-level customers in the hierarchy.
    I hope this will help you,

  • Why does Flash generate invalid class names for library items?

    I imported a bunch of bitmaps (PNGs).  The library symbol names all included the full file name and its extension.  When I check "export for actionscript" it generates a class name based on the symbol name, and it includes the ".png", even though that's invalid in a class name.
    When I select multiple bitmaps and choose properties and export for actionscript, it has a note saying that classnames will be automatically generated for all items, but it does the same thing... including the ".png" in all the class names.  Is this a problem?  Wouldn't it save time if Flash would automatically strip the file extension from the instance name of bitmap library symbols when generating class names?

    Thank you Nipun.  That is exactly the behavior I would expect, and I can confirm that in the trial of Flash CC it generates valid class names by removing the file extension.  For example, a file named "3ball.test.png" will receive an auto-generated class name of "_3ball_test", so it really does ensure the class name is valid (meeting AS3 class name syntax)
    kglad, what I'm saying is that an image file name like "ball.png" is not a valid "class name", because it contains a period, which is reserved as a package delimiter.  I know the runtime can handle it as a valid "fully-qualified class name", but it's misleading because it's actually creating a class named "png" in package "ball", BUT it's understood that the auto-generated name is not supposed to be specifying any package, hence the misleading specification.  The class would have to be instantiated like this: "import ball.png; var bd:BitmapData = new png();" or "import ball.*; var bd:BitmapData = new png();"  You would also then have to import every single class individually and always use their fully qualified names, because you'd technically have a bunch of classes all named "png" inside a hundred different packages.  It's just not acceptable.
    The other problem that occurred in CS6 is if you loaded a bunch of files whose names started with numbers, then when you select them all, choose properties, and use the batch properties window to export them for actionscript, I noticed that such images would be auto-assigned generic names like "Class4" as it would realize the default auto-generated class name would be invalid.  This problem has been fixed beautifully in Flash CC.
    Nipun, it would actually be very helpful to have a little more control over the class naming conventions.  For example, if I wanted all my BitmapData classes to exist in an "images" folder or package, it would be helpful if in the batch properties window I could specify a package name for all the auto-generated class names.  When importing hundreds of images, it's very tedius to have to edit them individually and I don't always have time to write a JSFL script.  There's room in that window to add a text field for a package name.  Thanks!

  • How to deal with '$' sign in the class name?

    I want to put my Java Applet game on my homepage. But the server which I set up my homepage doesn't support the file name like XXX$XXX.class, which has '$' sign in the file name. Would anyone can tell me how to deal with this problem? And how can I make the game work on my homepage? Thanks.

    Don't forget, this include both concrete inner classes as well as any anonymous inner classes you create, like
    myButton.addActionListener(new ActionListener()
      // Yada Yada Yada

    I would also like to know how we get the DOM object ID for particular item.Use firebug or inspect the source code of the rendered page to see the object IDs. Other then then, the typical ID of page items is the name of the item. For regions you can set your own ID.

  • How to get the Class name of an API method?

    Like most of us, it's difficult to know where every method within a Java class is. Also, many of the same methods are scattered throughout Java Classes. I know of two methods that retreive this... getClass().getName(). But, you must have an object to use these. Is there a way to find out what Class contains a method or Class variable thru an Applet or Java Application?? Obviously, I can look at API Docs; but this takes time.
    Tks Randy

  • Android Class Name

    Hi,
        I'm developing an air app for android and ios. I'm also integrating the app with facebook, however I don't know what to set "Android Class Name" to in the developer facebook page. I set "Android Package Name" to "air.mypackagename".
        Any ideas? I tried   "air.mypackagename.AppEntry" and "android.intent.action.MAIN" but it didn't work, i.e. I still couldn't log in from the app. By didn't work I mean the call to FacebookMobile.login is made but never returns (no error is thrown and the callback is not called)
        If instead of using Facebook Mobile API I use the Desktop or Web API I can log in just fine; so I assume that the problem is in those Android settings in facebook.
    Thanks.
       Sergio.

    Ok, I still don't know what to put as "Android Class Name", however I got the login call working.
    Apparently, even though the documentation says the 4th parameter is optional,
    public static function login(callback:Function, stageRef:Stage,
                                  extendedPermissions:Array,
                                  webView:StageWebView = null,
                                  display:String = touch):void
    it only works if I create a new StageWebView a pass it to the function.
    var swb:StageWebView = new StageWebView();
    swb.stage = stage;
    swb.viewPort = new Rectangle(10, 10, swb.stage.stageWidth-20, swb.stage.stageHeight-50);
    FacebookMobile.login(facebookLoginHandler, stage,extendedPermissions,swb );

    Hi all,
    I found a query in the software package I work on today that I don't quite understand. Below is that basic form of the query:
    SELECT * FROM table1 t1, table2 t2 WHERE + t1.id = t2.id;
    I expected this query to fail, but it did not. What does the '+' in front of t1.id indicate?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi.
    >
    Thanks for your help. I should have mentioned earlier (and I'm apologize for not doing so), is that that id columns are varchar, not number values, so I think that is why the '-' test did not work for me.

    Is still working for me.
    CREATE TABLE aux1
         id VARCHAR2(2)
    INSERT INTO aux1

  • Elementary: what is the dollar-sign ($) in a column name mean?

    I periodically see dollar signs in column names in Oracle tables. For example, when I create a LOB, often times the LOB segment will end in a dollar-sign (or two). Sometimes when one of the developers creates an object, I see some of the field namess have dollar-signs at the end of them.
    What does the dollar-sign mean?
    What does two dollar-signs mean?
    Just curious...they seem to function as normal characters.

    They are just normal characters. But Oracle (and other vendors) will frequently use characters like $ that normal developers don't normally use in order to create conventions around table names.
    For example, Oracle provides a number of data dictionary tables that use x$, v$, and gv$ as prefixes. There is nothing inherently special about those prefixes. But they convey meaningful information to the users of those systems (x$ views are undocumented views, v$ views provide information about activity on the local instance, gv$ views provide information about activity on all the instances of a RAC cluster). And using those sorts of prefixes prevents confusion between application tables and Oracle tables. Lots of applications, for example, have a SESSION table. Having the V$ prefix for the Oracle-delivered V$SESSION table makes it easy to avoid confusion from having two identically named tables.

  • In itunes if "Songs" is selected a column with a Check Sign header is displayed. What does this column mean?

    In itunes with "Songs" selected there is a column labled with a header which is simply a check sign. If you select "View" a pulldown menu titled "View Options" appears and one has the option to either display (or not display) the "Checked" column. I get that. But what does it mean when a song is shown as "Checked" versus not being "Checked" That part I don't understand. Is it used in conjunction with another operator? I understand columns labled "Name", "Artist", "Alumn" but "Check Sign" is new to me. Please help.
    Thanks.

    Diesel,
    Thank you for your response. I never would have figured that out.

    you can see this class in SE24 and than choose GET INSTENCE method DB on it. than put break-point on
    CALL METHODcl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
    finally run any t-code you will come into debugger mode and if you see in exit_name value after pressing F6 you will get BADi name of this perticuler T-code.
    basically we use this class for findings BADi.
