In my continuing saga to get the type of backups I want our new Basis
Admin had me use the brarchive option -ds to brbackup
brbackup -u / -p init$.sap -t online -m full -c -a -ds
the brarchive option being -ds
when the above was executed it gave the error
BR0197E Chained start not supported for '-ds'
I can find no reference to BR0197E anywhere

Found it as an "Info" message, not "Error". But it seems your case:

Explanation: A BRBACKUP and BRARCHIVE backup in a single run is not supported for all combinations of parameters or options (for example, not for backups to disk with backup_dev_type = disk ).
Program response: The BRBACKUP/BRARCHIVE run terminates.

The program was compiled to a version that is 1.5 compliant.
You tried to run it with an earlier version that does not know anything about the new information and formats that the 1.5 version introduced, and it refused to run the program.
Use the same version for compiling and running (simple solution, there are others.)

I umount one filesystem like this:
# umount -F /export/home1
Then I tried to mount it back as:
# mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s6 /export/home1
mount: I/O error
mount: cannot mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s6
partition /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s6 and directory /export/home1 all exist in the system. Why can I not mount it back. Please help. I am waiting. Thanks.

mount: cannot mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s6I/O error indicates that there is a problem communicating with that device.
You might use 'format' to see if the device is responding, and perhaps run a read analysis on it.
Maybe the disk has died? Bad cable?

What does this icon mean and why does a black battery appear behind it?

All of a sudden, since last night, an intermittently flashing black battery appears behind one of the menu bar icons. Unfortunately, I don't know what the original icon means! From right to left, I have the volume icon, the wireless connection strength icon, a telephone icon, (what I think is) an Ethernet icon, then this funny icon -- three horizontal black dots, with a thin vertical line and kind of an X running through them. (Can you tell I'm not a computer person? Anyway, can anyone interpret these signs for me? Inquiring minds would very much like to know, especially if something drastic is about to happen. TIA!

Arey you sure you did not launch the server twice ?
Eventually, kill the other process first.

Hi Le,
these are the hardware requirements as concerns to hard disk space:
25 GB hard disk space temporary during installation - 12 GB permanent.
Do you have enough free space on the drive where you want to install the software? If not, the installer can't unzip the compressed file where the db files are stored.
You should have in your windows temporary directory a file called stderr with the detail log of the failed extraction

have you tried simple jdbc connection?
Driver drv = Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(oracle:jdbc:thin:@myhost:1521:instance, "usrname", "password");
If this works you're able to connect! so check that your oracel datasource is well specified in your deploiement descriptor and that your bean references this datasource.

Hi there I've just installed CS4 Pro on Windows 7 64bit and got exactly the same result as you. Did you manage to find anything out, because the thing that bothered me was the limited functionality (what ever that is). I have the same problem and thought it might be related to moving to Denmark. My app store account was set up for USA and then the error number in parentasis was (13). After changing the profile to Denmark the number changed to (100), like yours

I am trying to setup a PBXes.com account and since I upgraded firmware I get this message now, when trying to save a profile.
There were no other profiles in the same prior, is this somethign stuck from an old configuration.

Actually I just fixed it by deleting the profile and entering it as new. I saved it after each step of the profile creation process and was able to reproduce the problem when I entered a password on the proxy settings but not yet on the registry settings. Once I entered the same user name and password on both proxy and registry, I was able to save the profile again. So I guess I must have mistyped the password in one of the settings before.
