What happened to my HTTP header parameters??

The dispatcher in front of the NW WAS is eating the HTTP header parameters that our tool puts in the HTTP header before sending the request. Is there a way to tell the dispatcher to not drop our stuff? Perhaps a configuration setting? I didn't find any.
Our tool puts some parameters into the HTTP header. When I set a break in my servlet running on NW WAS, I see:
    referer:
    Cookie:
    etc.
but I don't see the parameters we put there.

Adding HTTP Header parameters

Hi , Can someone please throw some light on how we can add a new parameter in HTTP header for a WSDL call. I will be using a Web-service adapter to invoke a wsdl and the requirement is to pass a HTTP Header parameter with each call, this parameter would be interpreted by an intermediary system before the call actually goes to target system.

In 10.1.3.5, there were several examples or samples in the Oracle BPEL folder. I think there were ones called HTTPGetService and HTTPPostService. You might check to see if they are still around.

These defects on the screen are clearly on the inside of the housing on the LCD itself. What makes me wonder are the diagonal lines that are so symmetrical.
I'm assuming it could be three things that could have caused this, because it wasn't like this a week ago:
1. I did buff it using Brasso (not the first time)
2. Manufactures Defect
3. I took it to the beach, no where near the water though, just set it on a table between two chairs
I always keep it in its sleeve when I'm not using it. I'm a perfectionist and this is driving me nuts!

What happens when HTTPS communication fails during certificate check?

Hello Experts,
I have a scenario where a Bapi functionality(server proxy) is exposed as a webservice .
So scenario will be SOAP -> XI -> Proxy (calls a BAPI)
Here we are going to use HTTPS (SSL).
I would like to know :
What happens when a check for certificate validation fails in XI? It may be due to invalid certificate, expired certificate or a request from unauthorised user-
- Will it be raised as a exception and we need to do some configuration to inform it back to Sender?
- Will the message fail in Moni with red flag ?
- Alerts will be created ?
Please share your experiences and expert sugestions.

Parameters from HTTP header and HTTP parameter

All,
I am very new to APEX. Our new application needs to get two values, one from a HTTP header and the second from a HTTP parameter. I do not know how to do this. Is there an existing function like GET_HTTP_HEADER.val?

You can modify the dads.conf file to allow non-standard HTTP headers to be passed through, you add a PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList entry e.g.

If your users access an external URL to be authenticated and then that external system forwards to you with the new header showing the authenticated user name, you could pick up that 'AuthorizedUser' header as part of your own authentication mechanism.

Confused about what happened to layout tools in CC

I'm wondering what happened to the tools that used to be in DW CS6 on the bottom of the layout window? It seems that many of the tools have been eliminated? Is there someway to get them back? I've attached screenshots of the same doc in CS6 and CC. Please note that the option to make the view 100% is gone as well as the pointer and the hand tool. Please help! Thanks!!!

SSRS web services 401 if you pass "Authorization" http header

We use both SSRS 2008 R2 and 2012. When i access a report using url access (direct ssrs server hit) and add a "Authorization: Bearer xyzelkalklsjsdfalsjdf" http header, i get a 401 from somewhere in the request pipeline. I have a custom httpmodule
registered at the top of the chain which does some OAuth related security checks. But when this header is included, the request never reaches the httpmodule. If i change the header slightly ex: "YAuthorization: ljlxzcvc..", then the request reaches
the httpmodule and everything works. So obviously SSRS is looking for a particular header named "Authorization" and does something with it. Point to note: we have implemented a custom forms authentication module and we are doing some rich authorization
using the extensible ssrs api.
Now my questions are:
1. What is happening here? Who is acting on my request before my HttpModule registered on top in ssrs\reporting service\web.config gets it?
2. How do i ensure my httpmodule executes before whatever component is terminating my request with a 401

So, the extended version is the format that would be used if you were not utilizing the files that the wsdl2java function creates?
And this is done to when you want more flexibiility for the user to call your service?
So, you would push to have the stub files used when you want to control how the web service is used?

What happens if an error occurs while committing a transactional resource?
          For example, say the transaction manager successfully sends a commit
          notification to two transactional resources at the end of a transaction, but
          then gets an error while trying to commit a third one. It can't rollback the
          first two because they've already been committed. Is it up to the client to
          perform forensics in this case, or is it too rare to account for?

          This is exactly the problem that is solved by "2 phase commit" of transactions.
          The JTA transaction manager will not tell the 3 resources to commit. Instead,
          it will tell them all to "prepare" - it is the resources' responsibility to
          confirm that they have prepared only when they have written the post transaction
          stast to disk and KNOW that they can commit, if required, in the future.
          When all 3 prepares have returned OK, the transaction manager writes a record to
          disk confirming its decision to commit. Only then will it go ahead and tell the
          resources to commit.
          Hence, in your secnario, the 3rd prepare will fail and the transaction manager
          will tell the other 2 resources to roll back.
          Of course, if something catastrophic happened (disk head crash, fire...) then a
          commit may fail, leaving the results inconsistent as in your scenario. This is
          termed a "Heuristic completion" and you need to send in the DBAs to take care of
          the forenzics that you are worried about.

Which OAM setting for passing values in HTTP header to application

Experts, what is the setting in OAM 11gR2 that is set to pass a userid pulled from a LDAP directory (which is already configured with OAM) as a HTTP Header to an application.
This is typically in cases where OAM is protecting or providing to protected resources on a Web Server or application.
Is this setting (in OAM) by default set to userid? I wanted to know exactly where and how to set this value in OAM Console settings.

In the protected resource policy and protected authorization policy in the responses tab set parameters to return headers for example if you want to return userid under name set header name like user_name, type header and the value as $user.userid. By default I guess OAM_REMOTE_USER is set in the http headers which contains the user id.

OSB Http Transport Custom Authenticatiion (X509 in Http header)

I'm trying to solve this case. We have F5 Load balancer that terminates SSL Connections From client to the OSB. When terminating the SSL, the LB adds the clients certificate into headers of the Http request going to OSB.
OSb proxy service is configured to use custom authentication with token type X509 (only choice in the OSB console).
What happens when I send the request to OSB, is that I get http code 401 (unauthorized) this error on server log:

Not necessarily. Although direct HTTP request to WebLogic is redirected to HTTPS enabled port, you can still use this settings with WebLogic plugin. I'm not aware of your deployment, but I use Apache plugin for WebLogic, terminate SSL on Apache and I'm still able to send requests authenticated by certificate from client through HTTPS.
I don't know about F5, but I guess there should be similar feature as well.

What happened to toDo's in Mail

What happened to ToDo's in mail? I used to be able to create a ToDo from a mail message I have not found a way to do that with the upgrade to Lion.

Hi, NO_PC. I missed the to-do box on Mail also, but I played with Mail and iCal till I found how to do it. I checked with Apple Express to be sure this was the way to do it.
In Mail, mouse over the header until you see the grab hand. Drag it to iCal and drop it into the events column. Then, grab the event and drop it in the Reminders column. It will make a reminder but careful! cuz both event and reminder will be in focus. If you delete the event, you'll delete the reminder too unless you first click in white space (or esc) to remove focus. Then click on the event and delete.
Open the reminder and you'll see the URL box says "Show in Mail" so you can refer back to the original email. If you "archive" the message it'll just stay in the archive mailbox till you're done with it.
