What happened to the "Free Downloads" link at iTunes Store?

Since the new iTunes store switched, the "This weeks free downloads" that link that displayed all of the free tv shows available for download has disappeared? I remember it has episodes of Passions, Three Moons..., 30 Days, and others. Is there a link that I'm just missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No (so sad), at the bottom of my front page is "Exclusively on iTunes" display with a few titles.
... immediately down below that is a little "My Store" thingy. is it currently showing "United States"?
if it's showing a different country, click on it and select "United States". does the "FREE ON iTunes" show up for you now?
(i just checked with my iTunes Store ... if i switched to the UK store, i'd see what you were seeing, but i'd get the Free section back if i switched back to the US Store.)

option click your tool bar in Safari, and add the icon that looks like a mail icon (letter icon) to your tool bar...
it is also in the file menu and there is a quick key assignment...

Nothing happened to it.
It is still there. Maybe it says apply now, not sure, but it is still there.

What happened to the free Single of the Week download?!

I logged into the iTunes Store, clicked on the "Free on iTunes" section, and was shocked that the free Single of the Week is no longer there! It's bad enough that they got rid of the Discovery Download, Spanish Discovery Download, and Video of the Week, but now the Single of the Week is gone too? What?!

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I've been downloading the free single of the week for many years now and have discovered a lot of good music that I otherwise would never have been exposed to. I hope it's just an oversight . . .

What happened to the manula installation link on the flash player download troubleshoot page?

I use to be able to go the the trouble shoot page for installing flash player and there would be an option for manula intstall.
I used that to bypass all the adobe air and other stuff
Today I went to that page and there was no option for manual install
I use Vista 32 bit OS an Internet Explorer

What happened to the free TouchPad app promo?

I got my TouchPad yesterday, and it's great.
But last night I treid to get the free apps that you posted on the Palm blog on Thursday and the codes didn't work. What happened?

They set a limit on the number of downloads for each of the apps, apparently calculated to disappoint as many people as possilble.

What happened to the new release link?

You used to be able to click on New Releases and get a line listing of everything that was added to iTunes for that week and the previous 3 weeks. What happened to that? The whole poing of going on iTunes was to click on bands I hadn't heard of and find out what they sounded like. Now you can't do that anymore. I don't care about the 20 CDs in the New Release link that are in the Best Buy and Circuit City Sunday Supplement.
Where is the list of everything that's been added this week?

It's not down, seems the link is missing. If you go to http://trailers.apple.com and then click on the link to Trailer in iTunes it will take you to the trailers page inside iTunes. It's being updated as there are new trailers showing there posted today (June 30).

What happened to the free Winnie the Pooh in iBooks?

I no longer have Winnie the Pooh on my iPad. I didn't delete it, but it's no longer there. A search of the store gives zero results for Winnie the Pooh. What happened? Did Apple just yank it all of a sudden?

Open iTunes. Click iTunes Store in the Store section on the left. From the tabs at the top, click Books. Then in the list of choices on the right, click Purchased (New).
When it comes up it will show tabs for your purchases. In the Books tab, it should show Winnie-the-Pooh if you downloaded it. (It shows up for me.) At the upper right, click Not in My Library and you should be able to download it.

What happened to the U2 download?? I didn't get it.

Did I miss something. I didn't get the U2 download and thought I had to do something but the site says its automatically loaded.

It should have been added to your account's purchase history (so should show 'Purchased' against it in the store), but you will need to download it if you want it in Mac's iTunes library.
To download it either tick the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box on the Store tab in iTunes > Preferences - it should then show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against it for downloading (downloading the booklet for it this way may not work, you may get a 'corrupt file' message when trying to open it).
Or go to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage and you should be able to download it from there.
A third option is to sign out of your account (Store > Sign Out menu option), find the album in the store and then click on its free 'price' button - you should then be prompted to sign back in and the album should download.

What happened to the "My Alerts" Link?

I am not looking for the "Manage my alerts" section in the settings.
I am looking for the "My Alerts" link that was under the quick links section on the home page of the iTunes store that when clicked would show you what the most recent releases of the artist you have on your "Alerts" list. I use to go to that section every time I visited the store and it was key in me making purchases since you've removed it I have hardly visited the store.
Also I have the clicked the option in the "Manage my alerts" section that says receive emails but I have NEVER received a notification from you for any of the new releases of the artist on my list.
I would appreciate any information on this because I am very disappointed that you have removed it.

I don't see the free alt or Latino music offerings this week. What gives, iTunes?

We're not the iTunes Store here, so we have no more idea that you do. What free content the iTunes Store offers varies from week to week, and apparently this week they didn't decide (or were unable to license) any Latino or Alternative content for free.

What happens if the Maverick download is interrupted? How do I start it back up?

I started to download Maverick. A box popped up that said to restart to download items so I did. Now the X download icon says the download is paused. Is there something I need to do to restart the download?

I found that I had to click on the X and a pop up window came up and then I could click on Resume.
